Nightmare!

I do NOT recommend Pan Transit Van Lines LLC or Carefree Movers Inc.

The experience has been awful, very stressful, and I believe there are much better companies to work with.

Be careful dealing with a broker for your move. If I knew before, I would never do that, and I would go straight to a moving company that can provide a better service, and you can deal with just one company which facilitates the process.

They promise you the best price, but you end up paying much much more, and you could have done that for a better company.

Just not worth it!

The Sales person called me 100 times before my move for me to close with them, and then when I did, I could not talk to the sales person ever again. He said things that were not correct, but never replied to my emails, or returned my calls.

I sent emails with questions, and I never got any response.

I haven’t received my shipment until this day, it was requested for May 22 (almost 4 months delay) and they act like this is normal. The worst companies! Do not hire them!

Absolutely reliable!!

My grandparents moved to CA mostly because of Pan Transit Vanlines LLC. They are both in their 70s, so packing up and starting again is out of the question. To get some help, we reached out to them. The service rep. David was professional and helpful. We trusted them enough to pay them straight away after hearing his estimate, which we found to be fair. We used only the highest quality packaging to ship all of the antique and timeless furniture. They are an amazing bunch of people.

Wonderful work

The entire relocation staff was wonderful to work with. They were reliable in that they showed up promptly and stayed until the job was completed. If I had any problems or needed some quick movers, I knew I could count on them. It was a pleasant surprise to find that nothing had been damaged in transit. Because of the outstanding service they provide, I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Would recommend them

I had a lot of fragile items that needed extra attention during my move, and Adam and Smith did an outstanding job handling them. They wrapped each delicate item individually and secured them in padded boxes. It was clear that the movers took pride in their work and treated my belongings as if they were their own. Smith was polite, professional, and efficient. They made the entire moving process seamless, and I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone.

Damaged goods plus overcharged

I hired Pan Transit for a move and it started at $3540 and ended at $6880 as they requoted and then the actual movers raised the price.

Then the probably did approximately $2000 damage and offered me $63. After I rejected that offer, they offered me a final offer of $113. I ended up with nothing as I contacted the better business bureau. They wouldn't even respond to the BBB. I strongly recommend not using this broker as they are not even the moving company and they don't tell you that.

SCAM COMPANY

They lie and get you to sign a contract and then when you try to call back and cancel within the 72 hours they don,t answer the phone and wont refund your money. They hung on me twice! THIS COMPANY IS A COMPLETE SCAM!! Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere, their BBB complaints are filled with ones just like mine. Unfortunately I didn't check before using them.

FLAWLESSLY!!

This was my first experience with Pan Transit Vanlines LLC. Andrew was kind, courteous, and efficient throughout the whole relocation process, even when a date change was required. Andrew and his crew were courteous, skilled, and patient as we went in slowly. I really value your hard work and tolerance during the process. The phrase "movers who care" describes them accurately.

Bait and Switch Masters - Look Elsewhere

HORRIBLE company. Undersold me to get the contract. Contacted me 2 DAYS before my move and took my quote from $1800 to over $3000 dollars - rude initial movers with endless attitude that smelled like smoke. The company did not help whatsoever. Nothing was relayed to the moving team, who complained about stairs and even threatened to leave if I didn't pay them MORE for stars that were already part of my contract.

Above all of this even after the extra 1000-1200 dollars I had to pay, they didn't even have the room to take everything that I had on my manifest meaning I had to leave about $1000 worth of furniture on a curb that I had to replace. WORST moving experience I have ever had - and I have moved across the country twice.

John is a slick sales guy who would never return my calls or emails after assuring me he would be my main point of contact. Every attempt to contact him I would get a response from his "manager," never him. Bad business, and worse customer service. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AT ALL COSTS.

Really experts

The movers worked quickly and well. It seemed like good care had been taken of my belongings, including the furnishings. These movers are really experts in their field. The staff made me feel like a king. They gave me respect and they were truly professionals as they were wearing proper uniforms with hats labelled as Pan Transit Vanlines LLC movers.

Suggest to others!

The two-person moving team took care to take the large furniture pieces apart easily to reassemble, wrap everything well, move it all carefully, safely store everything neatly in our garage as we requested, and communicate every step of the way. The scheduling team responded late but worked with me when I needed to reschedule based on my apartment's freight elevator availability. They are something I would use once more and suggest to others!

Do not contract with Pan Transit Van Lines

Do not do business with Pan Transit Van Lines!! They are an unethical and a horrible business, with crooked employees. Unbeknownst to us, they outsourced our move to another moving company called “Colonial Van Lines”. The movers originally said they would pick up on the day-of by 3PM. Then they changed it to between 11AM-2PM. Then they changed it to 2PM-5PM. They did not show up until 10:30PM that night(!!) after lying to us multiple times on where they were coming in from. They were also supposed to bring two people to help with our move. But only one person showed up, the driver. Who spoke broken English. Who proceeded, along with the dispatcher from Colonial to force us to sign a Waiver of all Liability, with ZERO explanation as to why they were requiring that we sign this document. After multiple phone calls trying to get answers on all of this (and the Colonial dispatcher hanging up on us multiple times!) the driver was instructed to leave. At 11PM…leaving us high and dry with no moving company and no place to sleep. We ended up at a horrible hotel nearby (the only hotel available in the area that night) and then we rented a UHaul moving truck the next morning, hired some local movers to help us load the truck and we drove all afternoon/evening to reach our end destination. We demanded our initial down payment back from Pan Transit Van Lines and they refused to refund us. So, save yourself from any risk of going through what we went through and stay away from these people at Pan Transit Van Lines….they are the worst. And same for Colonial Van Lines as well….just a horrible company to deal with too!

Scammers

I gave this company an $800.00 deposit on Jan. 2, 2024.I signed a contract for $2,200.00 to move from Tallahassee to Thomasville. They called me a week before my move to make sure they had all of my items. I told them I also had a washer and dryer. He added that and raised the price to $2,900.00. The Packers came a day early and told me they would pack my things and leave it in the truck overnight. When they looked around they said, "I don't know what the office was thinking, but it is going to be a lot more than what they quoted you". I told them to leave and had to scramble to hire to movers and get a UHaul. I was never refunded my $800.00. They should be shut down!!!!

Fraudulent movers

This is a completely sham moving company. Please be aware that they do fraud business and they outright cheat people. They’ll provide a quote and then make you sign contract and then, steal the money from you. They are brokers and once the contract is signed they don’t take any responsibility. They used some other company for the dispatch and the movers came without any packing materials that they had signed up for in the contract. And then, they start misbehaving with you. It was almost scary and they act like goons when you talk to them. EXTREMELY RUDE!! … the customer service is thisdisgusting even before they have started the job!! … STAY AWAY FROM THEM! THEY WILL LOSE ALL THEIR BUSINESS IN FUTURE!!!
