Long-distance move from Spanaway, WA to Modesto, CA

Run as Fast as You Can!!

This has to be the worst moving company I have seen in my entire life. If it was possible to give zero stars, that's what they would get. They moved my in-laws from Washington to California and LITERALLY DESTROYED every single belonging they had. Every piece of furniture damaged, every breakable broken, missing items, other people's items in with theirs, I don't see how they are still in business. They also overcharged my parents telling them they needed two truck to drive to CA, but showed up with ONE to deliver the furniture. They don't show up when they say they will and they don't wear PPE during Covid-19. HORRIBLE company!!

Long-distance move from Rancho Santa Margarita, CA to Gilbert, AZ

Criminals pure and simple.

Liars, crooks and thevies! Overcharged us after loading up the "rental truck " came to our house over a month later. 1 driver and you have to unload all your stuff. Our personal belongings were smashed, crushed, busted, broken, water damage on everything and over 50 thousand dollars worth of very expensive items missing. They even robbed our bank account and stole over 500 dollars in fuel charges. I contacted every government official even the Attorney General and nobody cares. The driver even sexually assaulted my 14 year old daughter and the government still could care less. They will claim bk then start a new llc and repeat this crimal cycle. I found that they have been doing this for nearly 20 years and last year alone they hustled well over 50 billion dollars. Wonder if the government is getting a cut? Maybe that's why they don't care. They keep sighting "the Carmack Amendment" est. 1906. I don't buy it. So if you don't want to be another victim don't use them and do your research!

Long-distance move from Browns Valley, CA to Waco, TX

The Worst Move

Please don't use this company. They will quote you a very low price and then hike it up in order to retrieve your goods. My mother paid more than 5 times what was originally told to her on their "guaranteed estimate". Many items lost or stolen - computer, 2 vacuum cleaners, queen headboard, etc. We have 90 photos of damage to her household goods. They have offered nothing so far in response to our complaint.

Long-distance move from Moorpark, CA to Bonita Springs, FL

When will they refund me for their con job?

Thieves, Liars, Con artists and every other derogatory word you can think of to explain these two people, Jim and Whitney, who run this company, which I don't think even exists any more. They hire a contractor to pack up your house then they drop the ball. They jam packed our goods in undisclosed storage units and never set a delivery date. We had to file a police report, consult an attorney and track down our own goods. We hired a new mover and delivered our goods without their assistance. From the other reviews, we got lucky and only lost $12,000 instead of all our stuff. If they had ever delivered our goods, they would have been months late and either broken or stolen as they don't have their own trucks, but they hire unexperienced truckers who happen to be going your way. They unwrap all your stuff, rifle through it, steal what they want and deliver the rest broken. They have no insurance and their place of business doesn't even exist. Don't get lured in. Also, watch for a name change. They do that often.

Long-distance move from Fullerton, CA to Pittsburgh, PA

LIARS, FRAUD, SCAM

Fullerton to Pittsburgh - Do not believe any positive post you read about this moving company. Pacific Coast Moving, or Pacific Coast Relocation, or any other fake iteration had it's DOT License suspended in February 2020, but were still operating as a mover. The company lost or stole 1/3 of my items and then damaged 90% of what actually got delivered. I sincerely mean, glass shattered, metal bent, and hard plastic containers crushed. Whitney Whitaker in customer service is a liar as is Tim Lee in Sales and James Horky Operations. They knew the company wasn't licensed nor was insured. Yup, they had no insurance to support the claim I submitted; therefore, and I'll state it again, "Fraud".

Long-distance move from Union City, CA to Atlanta, GA

Awful. do Not Book. Not a Professional Moving Company.

DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE AND DO NOT BOOK PAC COAST MOVING. THIS IS NOT A PROFESSIONAL MOVING COMPANY. IF YOU GET YOUR STUFF AT ALL, YOU’RE LUCKY.

Our move was scheduled for 9/21 - was told late on 20th that the salesperson lied and 9/21 was the first possible move date; movers arrived evening of 9/22 and finished at 4:15am on 9/23

Was quoted for $3,000 - move cost us $6,700 - I still have not received an itemized bill for all charges

Was extorted for cash by the mover at pick-up - paid $833 in cash for “supplies and labor”; supplies were to include mattress cover; mattress showed up uncovered

Was told a “professional team” would do the move - according to mover on the phone, he was showing up with a 3 person crew; he showed up in slippers with a Budget truck and his wife; my husband had to help finish the move because the wife stopped working at 2am and he was moving big things down the stairs by himself and damaging the stairs and walls in the process; move took 12 hours (2 bedrooms, office, kitchen, living room). The husband and wife also bickered, fought, and yelled at each other throughout the entire move.

We were told they follow CDC covid guidelines, and we asked specifically ahead of time that masks be worn since we have an infant - on pick-up, movers would not wear masks; when asked, man said, “I don’t mean any disrespect, but I only have one lung”

Were told our stuff would arrive 7-10 days after pick-up; arrived 4 weeks later

Items arrived DAMAGED - bookshelves punctured, pictures punctured, all furniture scratched, everything returned in HORRIBLE shape; 0 of 4 lamps made the move unharmed; large area rug folded and no longer lays flat. Items were also filthy, I think from sitting in a warehouse for a month.

Unacceptable guarantee. We asked for premium insurance before the move and were denied it. If we file a claim, they may reimburse at $0.60/pound, so really, it’s not even worth it.

Lots of lies and disrespect with this company. Lots of chasing them down for answers with very little response and minimal information. Terrible customer service. Terrible accounting. Not a real company.

I will not forget that the sales person told me, “be careful who you book with, because you never know who might show up on moving day.” That was the case with this company - his company. I can tell you the people who will show up will be late, rude, and NOT professional. DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE AND DO NOT BOOK PAC COAST MOVING.

Worst Moving Company ever

Several lost/missing items, took 3 deliveries and 3 months to deliver the majority of items. Terrible customer service and jacked up the price that was quoted.

Choose anyone else for your move

Moved from Northern California to Idaho. Choosing this company was the biggest mistake we have ever made. They tried real hard to charge us more than the contracted amount for much fewer items when the truck showed up. But I did not allow that. 4 people loaded and did not have any blankets, tape, straps or anything. They came in a rental box truck that they just stacked and packed in. I knew it was going to Sacramento and unloaded and stored for a couple of weeks. They promised they would rewrap all of our items once they unloaded in Sac. They did not.

Once we were settled in Idaho, we kept contacting them to see where the truck was. They were soooo rude and either referred us to an office that never responded or completely ignored us. Throughout the process James and Whitney (they use different names) were so obnoxiously rude. We were just waiting to see what we will get when the truck does eventually show up! We were right to be concerned, however, it was MUCH worse than we ever could have imagined.

Literally, every single item we moved had some sort of damage. Every piece of furniture was ruined, except the sofa that was in the original box brand new. The tables, dressers, beds, etc. were all smashed. Completely ruined. Every box was completely squished. Aluminum ladders were completely bent. Steel outdoor grills and furniture were smashed and bent up. They had to load everything with a forklift just squishing it to the back of the truck.

The single young kid showed up in this rented moving truck with our ruined stuff. We had to unload everything ourselves. Every single item. This kid was just hired a week earlier to make this trip to Idaho with 4 different moves. He told us everything was damaged that was on the truck and the other 3 people were just as unhappy.

We took pictures and made detailed notes of everything. We followed the instructions in the contract to the letter to send in the claim to get back the $.60 per pound allowed. We were asking for $500 in damages for our $5000 in real damages that we had to spend in replacements. The claims email did not work and was returned numerous times so I used their info email and it went through. I sent it a few times outlining every times, the weight and amount of claims. I followed up but never received a response. I waited 2 weeks and then sent the full hard copy to the LA address listed in the contract. I waited. Never heard back. After about 2 months, I disputed with the credit card company. Suddenly, we were contact by Whitney. She asked is everything was ok with the move. Hah! What a laugh.

After numerous back and forth emails, she did admit that they received my email claim back 2 months earlier. But she claimed it was not on the correct form. I explained that the procedure to file a claim was on the contract and I followed it to the letter. She said we needed to use their specific 5 page form. I completed it, but made sure she understood that this claim was made 2 months earlier. She said that they had 90 days to review and decide from the date they receive this new form. Again, part of their scam. Anything to push it out as far as possible.

After more research, I understood everything more. This group (James, Whitney and others) are part of the group that opens scam moving companies and then is shut down or they just go out of business and then they do not pay claims. They are also part of other student loan businesses operating questionably at the least. So, I knew why they were putting us off as they probably would not be in business for long. Just read the reviews of their company. Why would ANYONE on earth use this company?

We did get the credit from the credit card company for the $500. And in one final humorous note, we finally received a letter on our claim in late January 2021 declining our claim. Hah! That was not a surprise.

I warn you, do not use this company. If no one hires this company, they will go out of business and not do any more damage to anyone. By the way, the US DOT shows they have an Out-of-Service order for this company. It doesn't seem that they can even operate legally. Not sure how they are continuing.
