Dependable and professional

The team showed up on time and stayed organized the whole day. Heavy items were moved carefully through tight spaces. Communication was clear and helpful throughout the process. Unloading took a bit longer than planned. Still, everything arrived safe. A dependable and professional move.

Smoothest move I’ve ever had

My place was a mess, and I was still sorting junk when they showed up. Instead of rushing or judging, they helped get everything together without skipping a beat. They moved around my chaos like it was just another Tuesday. Furniture was padded, electronics were boxed like pros, and they didn’t break a sweat. They even helped me break down an old shelf on the spot. Honestly, they worked smarter than I expected. It was the smoothest move I’ve ever had.

BE CAREFUL

Where do I start?... With the multiple up-charges, the extremely delayed delivery, the inability to fit all my items into the space I reserved, lies after lies. Overpromise and Underdeliver- literally. My move was from CO to PA, 1800 miles with roughly 1600 cu ft of household goods. NXT Level Moving (the broker) hired Big Shoulders Moving & Storage LLC to move my items. Big Shoulder's loaded my items in CO on Aug 20th and they set a delivery date in PA for Aug 31st-Sept 2nd. That is what they told me to plan for. Nope, it took them OVER a month after moving into our new home to see our items delivered. Leaving my family including my pregnant wife and 2 year old daughter without any furniture/toys/kitchenware and having to sleep on a blow-up mattress' while this horrendous company sat on their hands saying "there is nothing we can do about it." We were left completely helpless and were fed multiple different stories/excuses as updates to which made no sense and they could never tell us where our goods were and when we could expect them.

NXT Level Moving initially quoted me a price that was competitive with others received. After the final inventory call only 2 days before pickup their algorithm thought that that the cubic ft would be about 500 more so they wanted to charge me an EXTRA nearly $5,000 more. I decided to sell some items to lower the up-charge to only $3,000 more. Even after being completely honest with my inventory list, the truck they brought for pickup still did not fit all my inventory listed and I had to sell more personal items privately that they left behind. You can imagine the storm of crap they created for me when I simply wanted to move.

The driver for Big Shoulder's who picked up my items specifically told me that the truck they loaded was going straight to PA and it will be ready for delivery when we are ready for it. That was a complete lie and this is when the stories/excuses/lies started. The first story we were told was that the truck actually went to a storage facility in TX. Then a week later we were told that the truck broke down at the CO/KS border. Then after weeks have now past and still no updates/delivery date estimated, we were told the truck broke down again and was out of commission for a few days. Once we were updated that it was back on the road we were told they hit traffic/accident and the delay would be an extra 2-3 days. Are you kidding me!..A traffic delay might take 2-3 hours, not 2-3 days. Lie after lie. When we finally got our items delivered on Oct 6th. TOTAL 46 DAYS to deliver- they originally told us approx 10 DAYS.

I found out the driver worked for a completely different company (MB Transportation) and said he picked up my items in a storage facility in CO on Friday and had it delivered on Monday…Why couldn’t that have gotten done a month ago!!?? Apparently what happened is after Big Shoulder's sat on their hands for over a month, they finally sold the contract to a different company…Why couldn’t NXT Level Moving negotiate that for me!!?? Why weren't they transparent with me? Did they even know what was happening?

Throughout this process, Big Shoulder's did not answer any phone calls and all the numbers provided had full voicemail boxes where we could not leave messages. NXT Level Moving did answer most of my calls, but when I did get a hold of them the only answer I got was "there is nothing we can do" because at that point we were "under the mercy of the transportation companies"

This has absolutely the worst business experience I have ever been associated with. Reading other reviews, apparently I am not the only one who has experienced this and these companies need to be brought to justice for putting their clients through the pain and agony of being lied to over and over and left helpless without their personal belongings or a means to manage one's life.. I have certainly learned my lesson and I hope you take the advice and look elsewhere for your moving services.

Movers - On another level

I’ve moved plenty of times, but working with NXT Level Moving was on another level. They greeted me with smiles and kept the energy high all day. Even in the summer heat, they worked nonstop without complaint. The way they wrapped my electronics and artwork was top-notch. They even gave me tips on arranging the space in my new home. If I ever move again, there’s no question who I’m calling.

Definitely use them again

The movers showed up ready to work and handled my heavier furniture like pros. They were friendly and kept the mood light, which I appreciated. There was a small delay in traffic that pushed the start time back, but once they arrived, they moved quickly. Everything was handled with care, and nothing was broken. The only improvement I’d suggest is clearer updates on timing. Overall, I’d definitely use them again.
