I recently moved my daughter from Richmond, VA to Charlotte, NC and decided to hire a moving company for her. Having never used one before, I was a little cautious and wary of how it would go. After doing some research on various companies, I settled on Northern Moving Systems and couldn't be more happy with my decision. They were very helpful and considerate over the phone and took great care of my daughter's furniture. She has several fragile pieces and they all arrived in perfect condition. All in all, I spent $4,000 for a polite and professional service. I would recommend them to anyone.

The man who contacted me from Northern moving systems about a week ago portending to be an advocate on my behalf just called and threatened me. He pretended to be on my side and agreed with my position and said he would have this resolved for me within a few weeks. He asked me what it would take and what I wanted to happen to settle this and I told him it would cost $ 22000 to cover my out of pocket to repair the building,the cost of the stolen silver and my insurance deductible. I knew he was never advocating for me. As soon as I have the transcription from his threating voicemail, I'll post it here. When I spoke to him this morning before posting this review, he had the nerve to ask me to wait 30 days so he wouldn't have to go before the board @ Northern. If he wants this post down before 5pm as he indicated in his threats, he better get busy and find a way to get me a check for $22000 before 5pm.

I currently had to move my daughter from Norfolk, VA, to Waldorf, Maryland, and never used a moving company before. Northern Moving Systems did a fantastic job to easy our nervous. I'm a stickler for customer services, and from the very first contact, I was very impressed. Being that this was my first time using a moving company, there were a lot of questions, and Northern Moving Systems were able to answer them. There were no unexpected or hidden fees. When the movers arrived, they were respectful and knowledgeable and were able to get the items loaded and delivery without any issues. So grateful and will use and recommend Northern Moving Systems.

Relocation is tough. Tough on the kids and tough on the parents. Northern Moving Systems makes the process easy and practical. The transition is not easy or perfect but customer service is able to guide you step by step for a smooth procedure. Their assurance and accountability remove the constant concern of your furniture and personal items. All of my stuff arrived in a TIMELY manner and not a scratch. The workers were very considerate and dealt with everything in a delicate and professional manner. They work around your schedule and not the other way around. Would definitely recommend.

Scheduled a move with this company, and everything was squared away with a week before our move date. Today they called and canceled our move because of an early snow storm 8 days prior to our move to Montana. It doesn't matter that the weather will warm back up to 60 degrees after this weekend, they have canceled all routes up north until April!! This company is afraid of snow and won't move your stuff even though they are called "Northern Moving Systems" talk about irony! Greatly disappointing. I would look elsewhere unless your move is during the summer months!

Many companies want to reassure families that they can allow moving to be less stressful. This one can easily be one of them. They have a kind yet professional team with potent service. They make sure to not have any broken furniture or scratches.
Transportation companies deal with a lot of common complaints like delays with deliveries. But Northern Moving Systems are sincere when they really try to get any problems out of the way. Moreover, the price range is very suitable!
It’s best to trust Northern Moving Systems! They really make things easier and provide a smooth time for you. What a sigh of relief. Definitely one to use again.

Hands down one of the best moving companies to work with. Moving is such a stressful thing for everyone and they made it smooth sailing. I felt my belongings were safe. They were very respectful and personable. They genuinely care about their customers and their valuable. Not one thing broken, damaged or misplaced throughout my move. They packed it to where not one tv was scratched, no cushions were ripped. No glass was broken. I felt like family, and who can ask for more than that?

Northern Moving Systems has been a really big help in my recent move. I moved from Davenport to Louisville a few weeks ago, and without their help and hard work I wouldn't have made this move as smoothly. When I called them for a moving quote, they gave me clear numbers, and answered all of my questions. They offered me packing assistance and tips for packing myself, and assured me they would take great care of my furniture and fragile items while it was in their care. Once all of my furniture was delivered, and on time, I found nothing missing or broken, and not a single crack or scratch on any of my mirrors or TVs. I am very pleased with the service I got, as well as their kindness and hard work in making this move an easy transition for me.

These movers helped my family move from Macon to Orlando. They were professional and courteous and I will definitely use them for my next move. Our furniture and things were treated with care and everything arrived perfectly intact. Our quote was about $4,000 altogether. It was worth it to have of our stuff taken care of. It seemed like they actually cared about their clients, which isn’t something I can say for a good amount of moving companies. If you want a stress free move, look into this company and be prepared for great service and a phenomenal move!

After dealing with some sketchy movers in the past I didn't know what to expect when hiring Northern Moving systems for our big move, but they quoted me a great price so I decided to give it a go. Thank goodness I did! As a single woman with 3 small children I feared I would have to be very hands on with this move and prepared myself for the chaos ahead. But these guys came in and took care of everything! All of our big pieces were secured and loaded within hours, and arrived at our new home in prefect condition. They were professional, efficient, and most importantly affordable. Thank you guys for taking the hassle out of moving!

I was obviously nervous about using a moving company (I mean, it's my stuff we're talking about) but I just couldn't imagine doing all this work involved by myself. Thank god I found these guys because they really took a lot of stress off of me and my family during an already stressful time. Punctual, professional, and nothing broken or lost. I would happily recommend this company to anyone who's looking to make a big move in the future. It'll take a big chunk of work off your plate and we can all use that kind of service!

Overall decent move.

Movers were late. They were supposed to arrive around 12 noon on Thursday September 12. Well, they arrived over two hours late. It definitely interfered with some of my plans because I had to wait around for them to arrive.

Other than that, Mark and Dominic were great. They came in and packed up all my stuff and handled everything really well. No scratches nothing. Perfect. They did a god job but should work on being on time.

These guys are among the best moving services I have ever had! My family and I have moved quite a few times over the past few years so we have experienced different moving services and this company is the best hands down. The moving company that we had originally scheduled with cancelled last minute and Northern Moving Systems came to save the day. They were able to come assist us the next day which my husband and I were surprised about. They were professional and prompt and made our move bearable after having such a difficult time with the other company. I would recommend them for your next big move.

I have worked for the Federal government for several years now and moving is a major (and annoying) part of mine and my families lives. I absolutely hate packing up, loading the truck and then making the long, multistate trip just to arrive at our new home and unpack our lives again. Northern moving Systems was amazing at alleviating the stress of another move. They were there every step of the way and arrived when they said they wood, with no damage to my stuff. They have definitely set the bar for all of the past, as well as all of the future moving companies that I have used and that I will consider using. I've moved a little more than I have cared to in less than six years. That being said, I have encountered my share of logistics companies. In the past I have had priceless items broken, furniture broken, been lied to about when they would show up, and have them continually delay bringing my things to my new home. I am happy to say that with Northern Moving Systems, that was not the case at all. They were extremely helpful in pack up and so careful with my breakables and valuables. Northern Moving Systems arrived on time during pickup and when they brought my belongings. They were fast, courteous, and beyond helpful. I cannot recommend this company enough and I know in the future, any moving I do will be through Northern Moving Systems. Thank you, guys!

I first heard of Northern Moving Systems just a few months ago while preparing for my first big move out of state. Moving from Pennsylvania to Massachusetts seemed like a daunting task but NMS really made the process go smoothly. From the time I first contacted NMS to the time our stuff got moved was only two weeks. These guys are quick and efficient! I only ended up spending around $5000 which is honestly a better quote than most that i'd received from other moving services. I highly recommend Northern Moving Systems to anyone who is moving across states and needs a reliable, communicative company to go through!

Outstanding! Which is honestly a word I never thought I'd even say during a move! I'm not a person who generally makes time to write reviews, nor do I hand them out lightly. But these guys earned it. I had to (begrudgingly) move from Washington to Missouri with 3 kids. The idea of a move that big was giving me terrible anxiety. I have heard horror stories about companies overcharging at the last minute or damaging stuff. These guys made everything a piece of cake! They were extremely honest and professional. They truly went the extra mile and made me comfortable. We moved an entire household without stress and didn't get ripped off or surprised in any way. So a HUGE thank you from this busy mama!

Don't let all the positive reviews fool you like they did me. It was horrendous working with Northern Moving Systems. Unfortunately, they bait and switched me as soon as I signed on to use them for a cross country move. For pickup, I was outsourced to a company called Ocean Moving and Storage and didn't know it until they showed up to pick up my items. They had a new set of standards that were different than what Northern Moving Systems offered me, but what choice did I have? I needed to move my items that day and couldn't wait to vet a new company. I really wish I had. I was then outsourced AGAIN for delivery to a company called Earth Trade Inc. When they showed up, they explained to me that several of the items they picked up from Ocean Moving and Storage for me were broken. There were broken bowls, a cup, pictures, frames, and glass pieces. The worst was a designer ceramic floor lamp. It wasn't just damage from normal wear and tear or a bump on the road; it looked like it had been thrown off of a moving truck. The quality of care was appalling, but that's just half of it. It took 31 days to do this move that I was assured by Northern would take "7-10" days. I get it's moving and there are date ranges, but when Northern Moving Systems representative Jason Levine told me multiple times over the phone that their movers can do it in "7-10" days, I believed him. That did not happen. Despite being outsourced twice, I still had to go through Northern's Customer Service to get updates on my move. For about 2-4 weeks after pick up I regularly checked in and Northern failed to locate the driver or my items on several occasions. It got to a point where I was calling every day to try and get a response. This company can't be trusted and I really hope others don't fall for their trap!

It was pleasure to have work done by the Northern Moving Systems. My uncle had a hard time travelling and because of that I tried contacting them which helped us move from California to Montana. My family and I were having a hard time to move because we had a lot of things but the staffs were very helpful to us and suggested solutions for us to bring things which have a special place in our hearts. It wasn’t the best company out there to be honest, but they certainly did the job very well. My family and I are happy to have all the things arrive on time and safely handled.

Best moving service I have ever used! They have a great team at Northern Moving Services. The customer service was outstanding, they were super friendly and always willing to answer any questions I had. The movers were great, they showed up when they said they would show up and they showed a great deal of care when handling my things. There was no dings or dents in my appliances, no scratches on my furniture, everything showed up in the condition it left in! Thank you for taking a big load of stress off my shoulder during my cross country move!

A friend recommended this company to me and honestly, I was a bit skeptical at first because I didn't know if it was a scam or not. I called customer service and they got back with me within a few hours and reassured me about moving with them. The team was hardworking and reliable and on time--which was important to me. Moving in general can be nerve-wracking but imagine having to move across several states! Northern Moving Systems made moving day so smooth and easy and I won't hesitate to recommend their services to anyone. If you're looking for a trustworthy, professional, and stress-free moving company, look no further!
