We chose this company based on a referral from a neighbor who has used them previously. Northern Moving Systems we absolutely fabulous. From the moment I first to Northern Moving Systems (the administrator) the time the truck left after hauling our items to our new place. The process will smooth as silk. Couldn’t have asked for anything more. The moving team was professional, courteous, and strong. They worked tirelessly through one of the hottest days of the year. People should go to Northern Moving Systems. They did what they said they were going to do when we had to come up with the estimate. We did a walk-through through the house on the phone and they went above and beyond. The moving coordinator called me a few times and made sure everything was okay. We set up the dates and everything went smooth. Nothing was broken and I have put everything in storage. They were there when they were supposed to be there and we had no issues. The moving crew was excellent and it was a good experience working with them.

We're retired and we wanted to be closer to our kids so we decided to move four hundred thirty eight miles and had Northern Moving Systems move our larger pieces. They gave us a complete list and helped us get it together. Our coordinator was efficient and he kept us informed. I was happy with him. And the moving crew was really top-notch. Both of the guys worked really hard and were very careful. They did everything we asked and more and made the move easy. The crew was really exceptional and we liked working with them. We were happy with our move.

Honestly save yourself the misery and hire ANYONE else. The quote was dramatically wrong, then I was told if I didn’t agree to the new quote and pay more up front then they wouldn’t pick up my items. This was said to me on the Wednesday before my Friday closing, which was also the second day of the three day pick up window. I have the text messages where I told them I felt I was being extorted and the response was simple, pay more or no pick up.

I paid for packing but as they kept moving the pick up days I had packed most of the house which was good because they delayed pick up so many times I wasn’t picked up until the day before closing! And the team that did the pickup told me they had been told I would be a two day pack!

The team who came to pick up turned up with a truck too small to take everything and so I had to drive one of them into town to get another truck from Uhaul. Their lack of organization had me very concerned. By the time they turned up I had begun to warn the realtors we may not be able to close on time!

We were given a shockingly long time window for delivery, and even then the delivery was outside of the two month window. The delivery ‘team’ consisted of three hires from a city an hour away and a very unpleasant and aggressive truck driver. They arrived late! The three local hires were hard working but the weather was not cooperating and I had to insist they stop unloading the truck in the midst of a torrential downpour (Mississippi knows how to rain!). They had a delivery after us and I feel very sorry for them because I know some of their stuff had to be taken off the truck and at least one TV was left in the rain.

The driver was rude, dismissive and I was not comfortable with him on our property. And despite being assured that while the delivery team would not unpack boxes they would put furniture together, tidy up after themselves, they left without putting up beds, because they lost the hardware! We found it later… but I had to insist they take their rubbish with them.

I cannot say this too strongly, moving is stressful enough, don’t add to it by hiring a company which simply doesn’t care about your experience, your needs or concerns, they only care about getting paid as much as they can for doing as little as possible! I have moved domestically and internationally and this was by far, the worst experience I have ever had with movers.

I was so worried that they were going to fail to collect my furnishings that I had literally looked at the cost of renting a Uhaul myself and hiring some folks to help me load up. I had to build a box myself for an unusual item because they don’t box on site! Another thing not mentioned until after we signed the contract!

Basically, don’t use this company…. Ever! I’m serious, hire anyone else. I regret every penny given to this company. They were expensive, unpleasant to deal with and so badly organized. This experience was so bad if I ever move again, I will sell anything I can’t transport myself! Horrible experience.

If you need a company that is honest and upfront with all costs plus provides very fair pricing, this is the company to call! Northern Moving Systems owner, is awesome! He came and walked my house and we discussed my move in great detail. He provided me with an estimate range and it was right on. The three movers that came with him on moving day were very careful, thoughtful and excellent to work with. I have a second move coming up in November and Jason will be the one that I call. Thank you for a job well done!

I have seen my share of different moving companies but they are all flawed in some way or the other. But Northern Moving Systems has really performed a flawless move for me. Their quote was cheap and I mean really cheap. They showed up early on the moving day with all the right tools. They used loads of packing materials to safeguard my breakables. Other things received a shrink wrap. Soon they were off and arrived right on time. There were no mishaps or glitches. I really cannot believe how excellently these movers worked.
