I find out about Northern Moving Systems through a friend who recommended them, and I'm so glad that I went with them in the end. Moving is always stressful and nerve-racking, but these guys helped make the experience so much easier. Their customer service was exceptional. Whoever I spoke with when I was setting up my moving date was so friendly and stayed transparent about everything that was happening. On the day of the move, they arrived right on time and handled all of my items with care. Not only that, but the team worked very quick and have everything loaded in the truck in no time. I've heard a lot of horror stories with other moving companies so I was worried at first, but in the end I was pleasantly surprised and impressed. I highly recommend Northern Moving Systems to anyone looking for a moving company, especially if it's your first time.

I was worried at the idea of having to relocate my entire family and all of my belongings, but I knew I had to for my new job offer. Luckily for me, Northern Moving Systems took all of the stress out of what should have been a great challenge. I can now focus on getting my family adjusted to this new life and focus on my new job.

My family usually uses Uhaul when we move from place to place since we don't really trust people to handle our belongings, however, we had to make a long-distance move recently and needed to find an alternative. When we first saw this company, we were really skeptical, especially since a some of the reviews were very negative. However, we had a pretty good experience with this company. They showed up on time and were very helpful moving our things. We let them know which items we wanted them to take extra care with and they listened. Everything arrived at our new home in good condition and nothing was broken. I'm glad that the move is over and we can finally settle down again. I am also happy that we had a positive experience.

I had a great experience with this company during my recent move to VA. From start to finish, the process was incredibly easy, made that way by the hard-working, attentive, understanding employees. The movers showed up on time, they were careful with my belongings, and they made sure it all got to my new home in one piece. I didn’t have any problems during the process, but they made sure they were easy to contact in case I did. I was honestly surprised at just how much of a breeze the move was, considering moving has been such a headache for me the last few times I had to do it. If you’re looking to move long-distance, they would be a great service to choose!

Stay away at all costs! This company is shady and rude beyond belief. I called asking for a quote and was called back by Mike Cohen. He promised me everything under the sun - super low rates, quality control, free 30 day storage. And his price was more than half of competitors. He just needed a deposit since my "winter deal" would expire in the next 24 hours. After sensing this was just too good to be true, I did some extensive research. Most of the online reviews that are 5 star are fake. Probably employees of the company. Look at the Yelp reviews - the company is based in Tulsa and all the reviews praising this company are also in Tulsa. But then look at the 1 star reviews - they all had a nightmare experience. I'm a professional web developer and can very easily run a program to spot fake reviews.

But weren't they rated the #1 moving company in 2020? Nope. This website is just some landing page they threw up themselves. That "consumer affairs" company doesn't even exist. The domain was just bought last year. I've worked in marketing and development for 15 years and know when a company is being shady.

I called Mike to let him explain and he was fast to come up with objections to my issues with them. But I know when I am being "sold" vs being helped. Every other moving company wanted no deposit and was pretty straight forward with me. Mike was about as slick as them come. And when I brought my reservations to him he said "so what other company is so good then?" And I even calmly explained why his sales and marketing process was misleading - he just got angry and said "i have way more sales and marketing experience than you!!!'....and then hung up the phone.

Everyone was very responsive at first. Multiple people in multiple departments retuning my calls. Now it’s moving day, Northern has taken the money, and no one has show up it even called to let us know they were coming. Everyone says “that’s not my department/I don’t have a direct line to my supervisor/I don’t have the scheduling department’ direct line.” Its a shell game and is going to cost me thousands in a lost sale of the house if no one shows up today. HORRIBLE customer service and no follow though. Completely unacceptable.

My families experience with this company was absolutely horrible. For starters the company did not send anyone out to our home to inventory items so we did this ourselves while on the phone with one of their reps. We got our first price quoted of $6800. We had another quote from a company that showed far more inventory so i sent that quote to the same rep who said we should add more so i did and took our total to $8000. Now keep this in mind this company will continually tell you that they are not about hidden prices and fees, but don't be fooled that is exactly what they thrive on. 2 days before pickup call from rep and we do another walk through, we actually sold multiple large items (including washer and dryer) so we were assured that the quote was very accurate. Movers show up and just like the common theme i have seen on here is we have more items than the room quoted for us. So after loading up it was another $2000 charge for the "extra" items. So once again this is a company that prides itself on no hidden fees. Upon delivery day I receive a phone call that says the driver doesn't think he can get the truck down your road. My home is in a normal neighborhood with a full 2 lane road much like any other neighborhood you have ever seen. So since the driver doesn't think he can do it, it is now going to be another $2000 for them to transfer the items to a uhaul and bring them to my home. This is now hidden charge number three if you're keeping track on a company that states no hidden charges. So i disputed the charge stating the driver could get down the road was then essentially strong armed by the company saying if you don't pay it we will charge you to store it and won't get your items. I moved my family 21 hours across the country and no they were threatening this. So i had to pay the $2000 to have my furniture delivered of which the driver was demanding i give him cash instead of a cashiers check which is just shady business at it's finest. Bottom line here is this company is not professional in the least and they will lie to get your business and once they have you they will simply hidden charge you to death. Don't be fooled by anything they "pride" themselves on because they are simply a shady business. You would do far better paying for actual professionals or get a uhaul and pay people to load and unload.
