Northern Moving Systems

Northern Moving Systems has been a really big help in my recent move. I moved from Davenport to Louisville a few weeks ago, and without their help and hard work I wouldn't have made this move as smoothly. When I called them for a moving quote, they gave me clear numbers, and answered all of my questions. They offered me packing assistance and tips for packing myself, and assured me they would take great care of my furniture and fragile items while it was in their care. Once all of my furniture was delivered, and on time, I found nothing missing or broken, and not a single crack or scratch on any of my mirrors or TVs. I am very pleased with the service I got, as well as their kindness and hard work in making this move an easy transition for me.

These movers helped my family move from Macon to Orlando. They were professional and courteous and I will definitely use them for my next move. Our furniture and things were treated with care and everything arrived perfectly intact. Our quote was about $4,000 altogether. It was worth it to have of our stuff taken care of. It seemed like they actually cared about their clients, which isn’t something I can say for a good amount of moving companies. If you want a stress free move, look into this company and be prepared for great service and a phenomenal move!

Overall decent move.

Movers were late. They were supposed to arrive around 12 noon on Thursday September 12. Well, they arrived over two hours late. It definitely interfered with some of my plans because I had to wait around for them to arrive.

Other than that, Mark and Dominic were great. They came in and packed up all my stuff and handled everything really well. No scratches nothing. Perfect. They did a god job but should work on being on time.

These guys are among the best moving services I have ever had! My family and I have moved quite a few times over the past few years so we have experienced different moving services and this company is the best hands down. The moving company that we had originally scheduled with cancelled last minute and Northern Moving Systems came to save the day. They were able to come assist us the next day which my husband and I were surprised about. They were professional and prompt and made our move bearable after having such a difficult time with the other company. I would recommend them for your next big move.

I have worked for the Federal government for several years now and moving is a major (and annoying) part of mine and my families lives. I absolutely hate packing up, loading the truck and then making the long, multistate trip just to arrive at our new home and unpack our lives again. Northern moving Systems was amazing at alleviating the stress of another move. They were there every step of the way and arrived when they said they wood, with no damage to my stuff. They have definitely set the bar for all of the past, as well as all of the future moving companies that I have used and that I will consider using. I will definitely keep them in mind for any future moves that I have. Thank you Northern moving systems!!

I've moved a little more than I have cared to in less than six years. That being said, I have encountered my share of logistics companies. In the past I have had priceless items broken, furniture broken, been lied to about when they would show up, and have them continually delay bringing my things to my new home. I am happy to say that with Northern Moving Systems, that was not the case at all. They were extremely helpful in pack up and so careful with my breakables and valuables. Northern Moving Systems arrived on time during pickup and when they brought my belongings. They were fast, courteous, and beyond helpful. I cannot recommend this company enough and I know in the future, any moving I do will be through Northern Moving Systems. Thank you, guys!

I first heard of Northern Moving Systems just a few months ago while preparing for my first big move out of state. Moving from Pennsylvania to Massachusetts seemed like a daunting task but NMS really made the process go smoothly. From the time I first contacted NMS to the time our stuff got moved was only two weeks. These guys are quick and efficient! I only ended up spending around $5000 which is honestly a better quote than most that i'd received from other moving services. I highly recommend Northern Moving Systems to anyone who is moving across states and needs a reliable, communicative company to go through!

Outstanding! Which is honestly a word I never thought I'd even say during a move! I'm not a person who generally makes time to write reviews, nor do I hand them out lightly. But these guys earned it. I had to (begrudgingly) move from Washington to Missouri with 3 kids. The idea of a move that big was giving me terrible anxiety. I have heard horror stories about companies overcharging at the last minute or damaging stuff. These guys made everything a piece of cake! They were extremely honest and professional. They truly went the extra mile and made me comfortable. We moved an entire household without stress and didn't get ripped off or surprised in any way. So a HUGE thank you from this busy mama!

Don't let all the positive reviews fool you like they did me. It was horrendous working with Northern Moving Systems. Unfortunately, they bait and switched me as soon as I signed on to use them for a cross country move. For pickup, I was outsourced to a company called Ocean Moving and Storage and didn't know it until they showed up to pick up my items. They had a new set of standards that were different than what Northern Moving Systems offered me, but what choice did I have? I needed to move my items that day and couldn't wait to vet a new company. I really wish I had. I was then outsourced AGAIN for delivery to a company called Earth Trade Inc. When they showed up, they explained to me that several of the items they picked up from Ocean Moving and Storage for me were broken. There were broken bowls, a cup, pictures, frames, and glass pieces. The worst was a designer ceramic floor lamp. It wasn't just damage from normal wear and tear or a bump on the road; it looked like it had been thrown off of a moving truck. The quality of care was appalling, but that's just half of it. It took 31 days to do this move that I was assured by Northern would take "7-10" days. I get it's moving and there are date ranges, but when Northern Moving Systems representative Jason Levine told me multiple times over the phone that their movers can do it in "7-10" days, I believed him. That did not happen. Despite being outsourced twice, I still had to go through Northern's Customer Service to get updates on my move. For about 2-4 weeks after pick up I regularly checked in and Northern failed to locate the driver or my items on several occasions. It got to a point where I was calling every day to try and get a response. This company can't be trusted and I really hope others don't fall for their trap!
