Similar story as other reviewers. I put my contact info into a moving estimator site and was called by a guy named Travis from this company. He seemed nice and trustworthy. I had him talk to my wife and we both agreed we should hire them. We were asked to give a detailed inventory of the items we were moving and were given a quote based on that inventory. We later decided to move a couple more pieces of furniture and got a newer (higher) quote. We paid a deposit of ~$1,300 and they said they'd we'd have to pay them an additional ~$700 on the day of the move. We would also have to give the movers ~$1,000 and the company an additional $2,000 after the move. It seemed high to us, but we had already started the process with them and decided to see it through. They gave us a range of dates (May 27-29) and said they would call closer to date with an exact time. By May 26th, we still hadn't received an exact time. My wife called and a woman (who was unnecessarily rude) said it was still the same range of dates and they'd let us know, but she couldn't tell us when we would know for sure. They called a few hours later and said the movers would be there the next morning at 8am! The movers did show up at 8, explained they were contractors and that we would have to pay them $4,000 in a cashiers check! The movers said the price had gone up because our items weren't "stackable," even though they were the exact items we had inventoried and they would still all fit on the truck they'd brought. My wife asked them to wait while she called the company. The movers were understandably pissed off while they waited for two hours in their truck while my wife got the runaround from New Horizons. The rude woman at the moving company said we should stick to the original plan of paying the movers $1,000, even though they were demanding more. We asked them to work that out with the movers, but they wouldn't. The woman said, "You guys have a choice", i.e. cancel the move and the company keeps our $2,000 that we already paid, pay the movers way below what they were asking for (and hope they don't damage our stuff in retaliation), or pay them what they were asking for. And they made it clear they would not be refunding our $2,000. I don't know if the contracted movers were in on the scam. They seemed less than honest themselves,but I also got the sense they had been misled by New Horizons as well. I'm still fuming and trying to figure out what to do about this move. But please, do not hire this company. Do not fall for the nice sales guy (everyone else we got on the phone was callous and rude). Do not trust the 5-star reviews. And if anyone has good ideas for exacting revenge, at this moment, i am wide open to creative ideas.

I have had a terrible time with this company and would tell you to definitely not use them. They have quoted my prices and times that are WAY BELOW what I have been asked to pay. Now, they have someone who is bringing my stuff on a semi truck and telling me that I owe more money due to that. He also cannot tell me when he is going to arrive. I cannot get anyone to call me back now, either. I recommend any other mover more than this company. They have made my move across the state nothing but a TOTAL NIGHTMARE!!!

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: 12000UAH

This is not a moving company. It is a brokerage company that finds a moving company for you and you never know who has possession of your belongings. After they collect your deposit, you never hear from them again. Afterward, you are getting calls from some moving company or someone pretending to be your movers, that do NOT honor the contract you sign with this company and nothing in your original contract is valid from that point forward. Your original price means nothing and they constantly add charges to your contract. They try collecting as much of your money as they can before they deliver by having someone constantly calling and harassing you so that when they do show up with a truck full of junk that doesn't belong to you they can offer you 60 cents per pound for the belongings they have stolen and auctioned off.

There is no 30-day free storage & redelivery from the moving company and they charge you an additional $ 1500.00 for that service, this is not included in their contract.

There is no $10,000 insurance with the movers, if your property is lost, stolen, or damaged you get $.60 (60 cents) per pound for your belongings, basically NOTHING for your belongings. I lost $3500 cash and well over $15,000 worth of belongings. PLEASE DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE THIEVES !!!!

It has been a month since our stuff was picked up. The move was only 800 miles. We have called multiple times and every time we are told someone will call us back but they never do. The contract stated 10-14 days for delivery of our items but we are well beyond that now. The are completely unresponsive, and I have no idea if or when we will get our stuff. I would strongly advise anyone from using this service. I understand problems happen but their lack of communication shows a problem with the company not a one off issue.

It's hard to write a review because they are brokers but it seems that as soon as I put money down and they subcontracted my goods, they stopped caring.

Move Pro, the company that New Horizon subcontracted swore that they would get it in 6-8 days. 22 business days later, still nothing and worse, no update.

I have no clue where my stuff is at or what condition it's in. New Horizon doesn't care because "talk to the moving company."

Don't go with these people.

Poorest customer service you will ever receive. They get your money then go on to next person. Pay an extra 1k or 3k to hire a reptuable company. I have moved 4 times intrastate and this has been the worst company ever. Don't return calls, girls who answer phones talk like they are reading a recorded message over and over, won't tranfer you to a decision maker. Don' t have any knowledge of where your property is or when you will receive it. Told me once picked up not their responsibilty. Highly advise hiring a professional well know company. The stress and money it has cost us just to function normally while waiting and hoping our things ever arrive is unbeleivable. To date we have spent approximately $400 just to function normally. Please spend your money on another company. Just fyi Have moved from OH, to Las Vegas, to Virginia, to Boston, back to Ohio. NEVER HAVE HAD ONE PROBLEM, UNTIL I UNFORTUNATELY RAN INTO NEW HORIZON!!! Also sales people lie, I was told need to make decision right away because they had a load close 40 miles from us going our way and if I wanted that space and to pick up and ship immediately, need to pay deposit. Sounded perfect so I paid. They DID NOT have any load, Our things have not left the state they were picked up in 14 days ago and I cant get an answer ehen they will arrive. They didnt even have stickers to put on our things to make sure they didnt get mixed in with anyone elses things. STOP, dont do it . It will be a terrible mistake. They do not return phone calls!

They change the price to DOUBLE, do not show up as promised and I still do not know where or when my things are arriving. This is since 5/21/22. No communication AT ALL!!

They also lie to you to get you to use their company!! HORRIBLE COMPANY! JOSH, JONATHAN ARE LIARS. They avoid my calls and have someone else pick up then I have to start the complaint all over again! They are being reported to the BBB and elsewhere until I get some sort of compensation for EVERYTHING I have had to go through! Save yourself a ton of aggravation and DO NOT use this company!!!

I had my follow up call and was a bit confused on how I got rid of several bulky items but ended up costing me 1000.00 more? The whole reason I booked the service was because it was only 3600 and it was the same amount that it was to cost me to move myself. Now I’m out the pocket with an unexpected grand charge. It’s too late to cancel and too late to reserve my old truck. Only saving grace is with the gas prices it’s going to be cheaper not putting gas in the moving truck myself. All I have is a one bedroom place, tossed so many items to save money and now got ripped off. I hope the movers are good enough and crossing fingers my stuff arrives in one piece. I know the company is a broker and will update once I see my stuff arrive.

My point of contact started out wonderful and very helpful then it was like I was ghosted anytime I needed help seemed to rarely respond.

RUN!!!!

After receiving several quotes from moving companies I locked in with New Horizons. I worked with Andrew Hill. Part of the reason I went with them is that Andrew reassured me he would extend my cancellation policy from 3 to 7 days, but he also reassured me that it would be a 100% refund. In less than 48 hours I realized I was unable to move then. After several attempts to cancel it was a good week or two before I heard from anyone. Andrew, who was once very attentive and responsive, had conveniently disappeared. I finally was able to cancel, but with a 10% penalty that I could use towards a future move. Andrew admittedly told me it was his mistake, but could do nothing to resolve my issue since the case was closed. On June 1st I emailed asking to talk about moving forward with my move. We did not connect until June 6th. Even after our call, I had to follow up via email asking for a quote. I did not get a response and followed up again asking for a quote on June 15th. I still have not received any response or quote from Andrew or New Horizons. Because of their lack of response, I was unable to use my credit with them. How convenient for them, huh?
