Long-distance move from Marion, IL to Schenevus, NY

Do not recommend

If I could give a lower score I would. I used them 3 years ago and it still pisses me off. They jacked up the price last minute leaving us with nothing to do but start dumping our belongings to keep it in a reasonable budget still thousands more than we anticipated. Then when our stuff arrived we had hundreds of dollars of items missing. When confronted they blamed me and made it sound like I was lying. I was 8 months pregnant, stressed and obviously pissed. The "customer service" rep told me flat out I was being dramatic. Never again. Stay away.

Long-distance move from Aberdeen, ID to Colorado Springs, CO

Smooth Move

Very efficient and straightforward to use, and any questions you have are dealt with promptly and satisfactorily. This is an excellent service; it makes such a difference in shortening the miles across ID so that you can consider buying items that you would not usually be able to consider. I'd recommend this company to anyone. Will definitely use it again.

Long Distance Move from AZ to OR

The WORST experience ever! It was a total disaster; my belongings arrived in an Enterprise Rental with one driver, everything tossed into the truck, nothing secured, late, only one driver who did all of the unload, so depressed to see damaged antiques, black mold on my mattress, too much to detail here. Relocation means a hand-off, once they get your money they give it to a "mover" who does not give a shit. Total bait and switch. Don't be fooled by their name, they are the least caring you can imagine. Wonder who gave them their stars bet they paid for them. Go with a mover; not a relocation service, even if you pay more, it is worth it.

Do NOT use this company; they are brokers

Wish I could give these people a 0. They wanted to move me on August 30th when I made very clear to the rep who I booked with that I had to move on August 29th. I sincerely thank Jordan who did his best to correct the issue and was able get me moved out on the 29th but couldn’t get my furniture delivered until the 30th. They don’t tell you this on the phone but you are basically dealing with brokers and not the actual movers doing your move. I was told I need to disassemble my son’s crib but I could just separate the headboard from the rest of the crib, I’m a single woman so disassembly and reassembly of the crib isn difficult; when the movers did arrive they were very nasty with me about not fully disassembling the crib even though I was told I didn’t have to. They showed no respect for the property, almost took out a chandelier and put a hole in the wall removing a bookshelf without asking me; bookshelf had a plastic piece connecting the screw to the wall which could easily have been cut to prevent the damage but they just yanked it out. One of the men did a stinky number 2 in the bathroom. Then when they delivered the furniture, they again showed no regard for light fixtures, they hit 1 fixture so hard 1 of the bulbs started smoking, and then had the gall to act like the tip wasn’t enough when they didn’t deserve a tip. The movers I got made me fill out a survey the day before when they took the stuff out of my old place while the guy was staring me down so I couldn’t give my real opinion. Please save yourself the aggravation and do more research then I did, I would never have used this company if I knew they farmed you out to another mover who I didn’t know and couldn’t research beforehand.

TERRIBLE!!!!! DO NOT USE THEM!!!

I used this 'broker' service as I thought I was going to have experts to move my items safely. I was lied to about what they offer, pricing constantly changed, and all my items were late and smashed to peices. They are hustlers, llies and give the worst costumer service ever!!!!!. They scam you, and protect themselves in there contract, so you never get a penny back. DO NOT USE THIS COMPONY-TERRIBLE!!!

Long-distance move from Lake Oswego, OR to Benton, LA

Horrible

I wish I could give this company zero stars. First of all, they don’t tell you that they are a broker that will outsource your move. They also don’t tell you that your stuff will be stored before being transported. They quoted a reasonable amount, initial deposit was paid; but, the day the second company showed up, the fee was upped by nearly $2000. I had to move that day (they were a day late arriving), so I had to pay what was asked. I was initially told that my quote included 50 boxes (no box size given) along with the bulky items I had (this included a 10-foot kayak). When I realized I had more like 55 boxes, I contacted Almighty Relocation Services and they told me that I was working with 350 cubic feet. I was told that 200 more cubic feet would Jack my fee up by $1000. We measured out 450 cubic feet and stacked all of my things into this space. We were well under 450 cubic feet. When the mover arrived he told me that I had no idea what cubic feet looked like inside their truck, and that he had never had anyone question their method. Lol! Right. I had just had surgery, and was trying to get out of an abusive situation, so I was reasonably upset. Almighty Relocation swore to me that they did not understand why the rate was being jacked up so much, but essentially offered zero relief. The mover broke at least one plastic tote and almost left a few of the items that rolled through the parking lot behind. My friend had to pick stuff up and tell them that they had left them. The mover told us that my stuff would be delivered within 7 to 10 days. Over 2 weeks later, I called and was told that it wouldn’t be picked up until later that week. I was extremely confused, as I was there when it was picked up. We left Oregon two days after pick up and took 8 days to get to Louisiana (recovery from surgery made the trip longer). I expected it to be there before me. When my stuff finally arrived, there was only one man delivering it. My bed takes at least two people to move. Initially the one mover wouldn’t take any help unloading, but my dad actually forced him to let him help move the bed. The man that delivered the stuff was very friendly and likely the only good part of this move. Apparently, these movers mix your stuff up with other’s, it’s not packed into its own section of the truck. The only way to know what belongs to who is by tiny stickers, so the mover had to wade through other peoples stuff to make sure he delivered everything. My boxes were all crushed, even the ones that were labeled as fragile. They had holes in them, many of my items were beat up. This is NOT a legit moving company. I honestly don’t even know at this point whether I received everything they left with. Beware. Will be reporting to BBB when I’ve had a little more time to calm down.

Long-distance move from Idaho to Florida

Scam

The company hires second and third party Movers, when any issue arises that's who they blame it on, the very people they subbed their work to. I waited months to receive my items, much of it was broken Beyond repair. I was also forced to pay an extra $1,000 to finally get the few things they did have, the second or third party that they subbed the work to held my stuff hostage until I paid an extra fee they claimed that I owed them.

**WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE**

Buyer BE AWARE — DO NOT use this company this is a Bait and Switch of the worst people

First, Sonny Bales quoted a price ($3,286) that seems reasonable and is “binding moving estimate” so you’re locked into your price which is based on square footage on the truck. (Which only they understand, because.. what the F is 450 sq ft??) it’s a cross country move with not much stuff, enough to comfortably live in a 500sq foot apartment.

For me personally, I was assured on at least 3 separate occasions by Sonny and other representatives, that I was under the square footage and could add boxes if I needed to. No problem.

I paid a deposit ($1,408) which is refundable only if they have 48hours notice and several weeks later after booking, they called to verify what items were going on the truck. I recanted what I remembered from my storage unit (that I hadn’t physically seen in months and a fact they were aware of) On the verification call for the BOL (Bill of Lading) and was assured again that even after adding, a desk, office chair, dresser and approximately 10 boxes that I was STILL UNDER the square footage I’d been quoted. So I’m thinking — SWEET, best company…..

Boy was I wrong ? The day they were scheduled to come do the move, they didn’t arrive because the truck had “problems.” The following day, I’m in a crunch, because they were supposed to come the day beforehand, AND THAT’S WHERE THE NIGHTMARE BEGAN…

When the driver, Cody arrived he took a quick look at everything, asked what was going on the move and when I explained that it was everything inside my 10x10 storage unit THAT I HAD SENT SONNY A PHOTOGRAPH OF WHEN BOOKING THE MOVE — i was told that I wasn’t definitely not UNDER the minimum, in fact I was more than DOUBLE the space!!! And that he could only take exactly what was listed on the BOL from my call (a tidbit of information absolutely no one ever mentioned). Oh and there would be a surcharge for my “bulky sofa” —- so now my head is spinning ?‍?

At this point, I have NO options, I can’t get a refund for the deposit because it’s too late, and I have to move my stuff….

So Cody “helps me out” and almost doubles my cost, but still can’t fit my mattress or several other items in the space he’s now allowed for me at a new price bringing my move to $4,600!!

——

Oh and let’s talk about the timing…. It took them TWO MONTHS to move my belongings! All once again information that was hidden by Sonny. When booking and coordinating, I told Sonny I was hoping for my stuff to arrive by Thanksgiving, thinking that two weeks would be a reasonable timeframe, he seemed to agree it was possible (they picked up around November 6th) —- WRONG AGAIN, I didn’t receive my belongings until DECEMBER 21st!!!! Because they don’t move your stuff till it’s convenient for them….

Good thing we had to buy a new bed and dresser since they didn’t have room in the amount of space I paid for or we would have been on an air mattress for two months!!!

——

Oh and what about the little box? Yes… a small box, maybe 5x7x7 that Cody said would probably get lost if we didn’t pack it in the larger box that he personally packed with my vacuum and other bulky items listed on the BOL that had to go in a box, or else ? something else they conveniently leave out but yes, box your vacuum and brooms if you’re thinking of still booking this shit show of a full service move.

But yeah, when I opened my big box at home two months after I’d packed it, do you think the little box was inside?

Yeah, no… you’re right, it wasn’t.

And do I have any recourse for the little box? No, because according to my paperwork, it doesn’t even fucking exist.

So, if you’re wondering—- geeze, what do I do now for my long distance move….

Honestly, as someone who has done this before multiple different ways, the two best options are.

1- Sell it all and rebuy everything

2- Use a different service — the one I used on my previous move was on point, I only chose this company because it included unloading and loading

Breach of trust during a stressful time

I requested to cancel a move and be given a refund well within the 72 hours the Binding Estimate stipulates. As I quickly approach the 30 day mark, the only positive is that my communications are being acknowledged and the individual that I’ve spoken with has been polite. Still, I have no resolution to this ordeal as I await a refund for what is almost the equivalent of my current rent.

Price hike little by little

First off, this company is under Allied Moving Group. If you do a quick google search you’ll see bad reviews, plus claims on Better Business Bureau. So don’t be fooled by the amazing rating they have. Secondly, the quote you get is just the beginning of the money you will be spending. By the end of this endeavor I have spent almost double my original estimate. My original quote for a 2 Bedroom was $3524, by the end it was $6358. They also did not reassemble the furniture as they said they would. I do not recommend this company.

Long-distance move from Colorado Springs, CO to Greer, SC

Don't do it!

On 11/23/2021, our movers came to begin to pack our things. A few days before then, the company had called to confirm our inventory, which were standard sized boxes from Home Depot, standard plastic storage tubs, IKEA furniture, and little odds and ends. Inside our apartment, the movers were not wearing a mask, which is against the company protocol, and informed us that they would need more money than we were quoted, because they thought we would go over space. When booking this company, we were assured that they would take apart our furniture, carefully pack everything, and reassemble upon drop-off. The movers did not even attempt to take apart any of our furniture and were attempting to leave the site as we were trying to call the company to resolve. The company said that it would, in fact, be approximately $2,000 more dollars to move our our things and furniture, due at that moment, before any further work was done. After filling our boxes in the truck, we were told there was room for one piece of furniture. Later, after the movers had left and we called the company to try to resolve the issue further, we were told everything is at the discretion of the foreman and that, while they understood our frustration, there was nothing they were willing to do to resolve the issue without incurring the additional cost, despite the lack of effort to take anything apart, which they said their movers usually don't just not try to take things apart. We now have no furniture when we move and will need to re-purchase furniture for our new living space. This company drastically underestimated our space, then used a situation where we had no other options for moving to try to charge us more money. We had all assurances that we were going to be under-space because we estimated our packing high, which we disclosed during the booking, and that if anything we would be owed a refund for space not used. This business practice is shameful and predatory, especially from a company with a B+ BBB rating and 4+ stars on google.

Total scam of a company!

They quoted us for $6,700 to move from Nevada to Michigan. Small home with no beds, but we did have a good amount of plastic bins! We had 50 bins and then ended up with 75 but took off our CALIFORNIA king mattress, a dresser and office desk. They still charged us $12k and said if we didn’t pay the upgrade amount, they wouldn’t move all of our stuff. So here I am, 9 weeks pregnant and trusted Colton, the guy that set it all up and I we got totally taken advantage of. Double the price is just wrong and outrageous but there was nothing we could do so we are out an additional $6k and now all we can do it is hope are stuff arrives and in good condition. Good luck and don’t trust this company!

Do not trust this moving broker

Made a BIG mistake in putting our trust in this moving broker that they would secure a reliable and honest moving company to move us from Arizona to Tennessee November 1 or 2nd. Kept requesting name of company that would be coming and was always put off saying quality assurance would reach out when it got closer. Deposit of nearly $5000 had been paid. Finally on Oct 28 told S & M relo based out of Ohio would be handling our move. As early as Oct 7 I had stressed to All Mightly Relocation about the horrors our daughter went through and still is regarding her move with S & M relo (google their name/company) and see for yourself the hell they have put people through. So based on this we cancelled our move with them and scrambled to secure another moving company, which we did and they were amazing. All Mighty Relocation LLC refuses to refund any of the nearly $5000. They say because we cancelled so close to move. We did not know any earlier the train wreck they planned to hitch our wagon too. Definitely better options are out there so avoid the stress and look elsewhere

Long-distance move from Jerome, ID to Green Bay, WI

Run

We walked away from a $3k deposit rather than move forward with a move with them. I still think we came out ahead. We booked a move with them- they require 1/3 deposit on booking. We updated our moving list 5 days before and paid additional deposit money. We were concerned when they didn’t have any of our moving details for a 1500 mile move. We were told we would get a call with details 24-48h before our 48 hour moving window. No call. I called 48 h in advance and was told I would get a call 24h before. No call. I called and was told that the schedule wouldn’t be done until 3:30 the day before. How do you plan a move across the country on that short of notice? I reminded that the contract stipulates 24 hour notice and was told “yeah, I wish they would take that out. That really just means the day before.” Confidence inspiring. I then received a call a couple of hours later that the contracted company had a broken truck and could they come 1-3 days later. I have 3 kids including a newborn and packed up house- no, that won’t work. They found another company that could come and are happy to provide DOT numbers- but I can’t find online reviews for the company. I can find 1 star reviews with horror stories on a company with the same name from the same town but a different DOT number. Nonetheless, we were feeling stuck so we decided to move forward. We are told the company will call us to schedule pick up. They don’t call and we go to bed wondering if we are moving the next day. I call All Mighty in the morning and they have no info. I ask if I can cancel and they are instantly happy to cancel but note they will lol of course be keeping my $3,000. No problem solving, nothing. While I am on the call the moving truck calls to say they are 1 hour away. I ask them the plan- where are they taking my things? They don’t know. They say they will call back. They don’t. Meanwhile we called Uhaul and got a professional response and booked a truck. The contrast makes me realize the lack of professionalism I’ve been encountering. I call some movers to load the truck. They respond within 30 minutes. At this point we decide to cut our losses- the company en route has probably changed their DOT number to run from all the reviews I’ve read about charging much more to load or on arrival, and has held belongings for weeks without contact or won’t deliver to the actual location. I call and officially cancel- they wish me Happy Holidays and are happy to end the call. The truck arrives as we’re leaving to get our uhaul- the truck is unmarked and they are not disappointed we’re canceling. Basically I lost 3k, but avoided what was certainly further headaches. What did I learn? The DOT recommends that estimates must be in person- they do everything over the phone, so I would not do that again. They are not upfront that they contract moving companies, they are not actually a moving company. By the time I realized that we were pretty far in. I would find a company that actually does the work, not a middle man. If you can drive your truck- do it. So much better. I think if you are moving from one large city to another- the service might be better, they seemed overly flustered that we were from a small town and going to a small town. Why accept a job you can’t do? Overall, I would run from this company. They were completely unorganized and way too happy to accept money for work they don’t do.

All did well

Five men moved our two-bedroom in the estimated three-hours. We received a call 20-minutes before the start of the scheduled time to tell us they were on their way. They came on time and were courteous with all our items. Not are these guys the best deal out there with their all-inclusive flat hourly rate, but they were hardworking and hyper-efficient as well. Do not use All Mighty Relocation for out of state and long distance mo

Do not use All Mighty Relocation for out of state and long distance moves. I was contacted by a sales person who bragged about their amazing reviews, but check out the complaints on the Better Business Bureau. The sales person took down a list of items I would be moving and an estimate of the number of boxes I'd have. At this point I was about 1 month out so I didn't have an exact number. The sales person said i would have plenty of space based on my estimates and could go well over before any additional charges would occur. At this point I had to pay a nonrefundable $600 deposit to schedule the move.

They called me the day before the movers would arrive to confirm the items I would have. I estimated a few additional standard sized table lamps and a few more boxes (remember, I was told I'd have plenty of room if there were additional items since I was only able to estimate). The new sales person told me I would then need to purchase an additional ~$400 worth of space. I've already paid the deposit and i had to move the next day so I had no option but to pay it.

All mighty relocation contracted out my move to Prime Relocation, which has 1.8 star reviews on google. The movers come and tell me before even putting my boxes on the truck that I would need to pay an additional $1000 on top of the payment I owed at the time of pickup. This is because the movers put down all medium boxes (they didn't ask what size boxes I had). I believe this was to keep my initial costs down so I would book with them and then pile on the surprise charges. They also charge for long distance walks to the truck over 75 ft and any stairs above 7 steps. This was extremely frustrating.

At the point of them dropping my items off at a new location, the driver of the truck pulls up and can't do anything because the movers said they went to get something to drink. They never came back. The company scrambled and found one random guy who clearly wasn't a professional mover. They literally moved one item at a time and it took over 5 hours for a 2 bedroom apartment. I also had to pay an additional $275 for the stair charge. Overall my costs essentially doubled what I was initially quoted and totaled nearly $4,000. I would NOT recommend using their services.

STAY AWAY

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! They are a brokerage company which means they contract out your move to another company which is something they won't tell you. They will do your initial estimate, take their deposit immediately, then they won't work with you or give any support. They told me that my move would be completed in one day which I verified multiple times and come moving day, the company that was actually moving us told us that it could take up to 7-10 days to deliver our belongings! When we called customer service, they told us there is nothing they can do. They also underestimated our move by $4,000. They underestimate your move on purpose to get you to sign their contract, pay the deposit, then come moving day, the price increases. Connor Ryan did my estimate, then when I called him about some concerns I had, he refused to talk to me. Customer service is horrible, they will not help you at all. Please don't sign a contract with this company, they are only in it for the money and do not care about their customers at all!

WARNING

Do not book with this company! They are complete smooth scammers. My research call to another moving company was intercepted by them. The BBB has them under investigation. After paying a deposit to them, $1900, they were sending an email requesting cash for final 2 installments. I thought that was a suspicious request.

Look at these reviews. I think most are fake. A business doesn't have numerous 5 stars with this huge discrepancy to no stars And horrifying details.

These people are preying on people moving for jobs etc. They know we have multiple things going on.

This was an awful experience for the beginning of a giant cross country move. At least I wasn't involved in anymore of their game playing, money scamming. Will I recoup any of my deposit? Uncertain. But had to warn others. Choose anyone but them.

This is scam, confirmed. Do not read any review. Go to Florida division of corporations and search for All Mighty LLC. It shows the company was registered in 2021, in spite of the claim Colton (the sales person) made that he has been working there for 7 years. This is totally joke. I fount out this within 72hrs of booking, after I paid them deposit. Hopefully I can get 85% of my deposit back based on their cancellation policy. Still struggling with it and haven't gotten my money back yet. If you go to a legit moving company and search for their company history, e.g. Minimoves, the one I end up using, you can see they were registered in 1991. Dishonest Scam & Stole $887 Deposit

I agreed to use their services when Jordan Donnelly told me over the phone multiple times that the moving truck would fit all my stuff and for the right price. I repeatedly told him that I was going to rent a 20ft Uhaul and needed that much space to move my stuff. He reassured me multiple times that it would all fit. I also repeatedly told him that I would go make a list and he refused and said don't worry it will all fit and I need to sign now or I would not get the truck in time. We were already in the policy cancellation notice deadline to cancel. He quoted my girlfriend $2,937 and after talking to me saying that I need a 20ft Uhaul size and told him about larger items we had and he increased the quote to $3,473 and reassured me that it would fit everything. So I finally listened and signed his agreement at a price of $3,473. I did end up making a list and getting it to him and then they raised the price on me to $4,800 and I did not agree to pay more and I cancelled the service. I never got the official $4,800 invoice because I cancelled. They then kept my entire $887 deposit since I was in the cancellation window. Rachel is obviously part of the scam since she refused to return the deposit. I had no option since we were already in the cancellation window. They were dishonest about how much the truck would fit and the price they were going to charge me. He pressured me to sign threatening I would not get the truck in time and also told me multiple times don't worry it will all fit. I did end up not using their service at all and all my stuff did end up fitting in a 20ft Uhaul for $2,400. They are enjoying my $887 for 2 phone conversations.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $887

Long-distance move from Waterbury, CT to Lansing, MI

Price doubled, furniture missing

The price quoted and agreement was $9800 for pack and move if my house. The movers (1 woman and 2 young men) came in an enterprise rental truck and said it would cost me $17,500. This was confusing since The items actually decreased since my quote. I removed several large items like the washer dryer (price should have decreased if anything). They agreed to take half of my items for $9800. This was 3 weeks ago. They have not called or returned my calls to tell me when k can get my things. Very shady policies and practices.
