Nationwide Van Lines

I had a very positive experience with Nationwide Van Lines.  I worked with Alana via telephone to schedule a pickup time, and I also spoke with her a couple of times to revise our inventory after I had submitted it online.  The driver, Isaak, handled both pickup and delivery, and he was a pleasure to work with.  He and his partner were very efficient and thorough.  They wrapped up some items that needed additional care, and Isaak also made sure that I looked over and understood all the paperwork before signing anything.  He stayed in touch with us by phone prior to both pickup and delivery, so that we knew exactly where he was and when he planned to be at the site so we could meet him.  We moved from Philadelphia to Syracuse, and I am happy to report that all items in the inventory have been accounted for (I am always worried about items getting lost or damaged during moving!) and everything is in great condition.  All in all, a very good experience.

I felt very comfortable with Kevin my salesman over the phone.  The price given was over $1,000.00 less than the price from a comparable company.  So therefore it was easy to choose Nationwide.  The movers were very courteous and friendly.  Also they took great care in handling my furniture.  These guys worked hard in the Florida heat and it was a pleasure to see them a week later in NJ with my stuff in tact!  They were fast and efficient and eager to get me set up .  Also the phone communication with Manny and Gideon calling me randomly during the process to make sure things were going smoothly was an added bonus.  They were there with me every step of the way.  My move took place over Labor Day weekend and my son was starting school the first week we arrived so I had alot on my plate and it was very stressful, Nationwide made the move easier.   The holiday also had no bearing on their getting to me.   I also had pets in a spare room and they took care not to disturb them and add to their stress.  They  were also very accomodating and also checked with me (the movers) when they had questions about anything, they kept me involved and there were no surprises.  I would definately recommend them to anyone.  P.S.,  I would call you guys if I move locally as well!!  Thank you for getting me back home to NJ in one piece!!

We are military and have moved from a few states all the way to Japan and back. This is probably the best company we have had move us. The were very polite, understanding of certain objects items importance to us. Now with every move even the best company CANNOT keep 100% of the items un-damaged. But this company didn't break a single thing!! Yes there were a few things that maybe had a very small scratches/dings..but it would happen eventually. I recommend them for any move location they service.

I will definitely recommend Nationwide Van Lines to friends and collegues who need a professional and timely moving experience.  The guys went above and beyond to protect my things, were polite and respectful.  They even managed to work around my large mastiff!  The process is easy; the sales person goes through your house in a virtual tour on the phone, room by room, just make sure to tell them everything that is in each room because that is how they charge, by the piece, not by weight.

My move went wonderfully. A few hiccups with my building and I thought that might cause a problem, but the movers made me comfortable with everything. I do advise if you live in a building double checking with management yourself. When moving you get nervous that they are going to be rough, take advantage, not care.. but the entire crew was very friendly and made me feel like I was important and that they wanted it to be as easy as possible for me. Even at the drop off, they were very accommodating and helpful. If I were to ever move again and could request the same 3 guys, I would. As expected the actual cost was more than the original quote, but before wrapping anything or adding any extra costs, the movers made me aware and asked if it was ok. They helped make my move not as stressful. I was nervous, but once Indrek and his crew got there I had no worries.

I couldn't be happier with the quality of this moving company. I moved last minute, and was only able to contact them three weeks before I needed to move, but their customer service helped me every step of the way, and the movers who both picked up and delivered my items were incredibly friendly, polite and helpful. They stayed in constant contact to keep me updated with the status of the move, and made sure any question I had was answered quickly and completely.

The price included an extra fee for carrying stuff down off a third floor apartment, which is understandable, however the movers charged nothing for their both quick and very careful wrapping of my furniture items. Every charge was exactly (or in some cases less!) than they explained it would be before they arrived, and they didn't nickel and dime us at all.

I can not say enough about how friendly and professional the movers who both picked up and delivered my items were. They not only were incredibly pleasant to deal with but after delivery they even stopped to tighten the bolts on my coffee table, which were loose before it was ever picked up!

The only damage to my items was one box of books that I packed myself, which due to over packing split its seams (though the items inside were fine). Also, nothing at all was missing or stolen.

They came early, calling and politely asking if they could pick up a day early, which we agreed to. But because it was picked up early, they asked if they could deliver the next day (On a GA to NC move) however we weren't traveling to the new place until a few days later. This meant they had to store our items, but they declined to charge extra for that, since the change in time was theirs, not ours. Also, they called when they came both times, and while the window was always 8am to 12pm, both times they came around 9am, and were done long before 12 rolled around.

Not only would I use the company again for any moves I make in the future, and recommend them to anyone who asks an opinion, I'll also make sure to have bottled water on hand for the movers, after seeing how happily grateful they were to have such a simple nicety offered them.

Second time using Nationwide. Second experience was as good as the first. All aspects of my experience was outstanding! I am exceptionally greatful to the moving guys who transported my grandfather clock. They did an exceptional job packing, transporting and setting up the clock. They were very polite, professional and clean.Tina Hoyt (CSR) gets 5 stars also. Tina does not sound like the typical uninspired reading from a script person I encounter so frequently. Tina actually cares and followed up with me several times inquiring how my experience was. Thanks alot everyone Brian Thomas.

Overall, we were pleased with how quickly our house was packed up and unloaded.  The driver called and were able to start packing a day earlier than we were expecting, but this worked out well.   My only complaint ( and I take the blame for NOT reviewing the item list as well as I should ), is when doing a telephone walk through with Stenglar, I had verbally told of each piece of furniture in each room.  Whether he heard, or couldn't keep up with the items, many weren't on the item count sheet, thus the IMPORTANCE of going over the sheet and adding what was missed!  So, the truck didn't have the space to hold all left out items.  Uzi did well in packing, and I had to make decisions as to what to bring and what to leave out.  Although, one example on sheet was dresser, mirror - this is JUST mirror, hmmm, needed the dresser too.  Overall, the crew was helpful.
