Long-distance move from Marietta, GA to Durham, NC

Overall, well done!

Overall, the experience was fantastic, and I would recommend Nationwide. Uzi and the other guy were both professional, courteous, efficient and not one thing was broken. Out of 4 large moving companies, they were the cheapest, but in the end they ended up doing a great job. We added some things to be moved on pickup day and decided to leave a couple of things behind, and Uzi was so easy to work with, plus his quick wit and sense of humor was greatly appreciated.

I did not anticipate moving a 4 BR house would take 10 hrs to pack, but being there were only 2 guys doing the work this made sense in the end. We left the same time the moving truck dis and arrived at our destination at 3am, and delivery was scheduled 9am-1pm the following dat. This a difficult time frame, especially for my parents who are in their mid-80s. Uzi said he would try to come later if he could, and he did come at 1pm, but I had been sitting at the house since 9am, so a phone call from Nationwide would have been helpful there to confirm a later arrival.

I was moved.

They were quick, hard working, and polite. It was difficult that day on account of the storms. More words.

Long-distance move from Lake Worth, FL to Charleston, SC

First time hiring movers.

My sales rep, Natasha, was extremely kind and patient with me as a mom of 3 (under 6) moving without help. The men showed up on time as scheduled, were also super helpful, and delivery was quicker than expected. I did incur additional fees for more space needed, but I was still on par with the multiple other quotes I received.

Long-distance move from Vermont to Maryland

Overall Satisfied With Move.

Overall, I was pleased with my moving experience with Nationwide.  At every stage of the move, it was easy to get in contact with an actual person in customer service.  My moving consultant, Alana, was friendly and helpful throughout the time leading up to the move.  Jordany and his crew did a really great job at packing up my furniture and other large items in blankets very securely, so all of my things made it through the move undamaged.  Best of all, the movers were able to pick up and drop off my household goods on my preferred dates.  Thus, most major aspects of my move were positive and I can say that my move was very good.

I cannot in good faith give the move a five star rating, as there were some issues that could have been dealt with better and that potential customers should be aware of. My biggest problem with the move was a lack of communication between the moving consultants and the movers that led to confusion.  I was advised by the moving consultant to securely pack my television, mirrors, and pictures with bubble wrap and cardboard.  When my moving crew arrived, I was informed by them that this was a poor way to pack these items, and at this point there was no time to change how they were packed.  Moving is a very draining process, and this was rather distressing, as I was following the instructions of one company representative, only to have another inform me I should have done things differently.  This made me concerned I had little hope of seeing my items arrive unscathed.  As I mentioned above, however, the moving crew further secured these fragile items in blankets, and no damage was done, but I was disappointed at the lack of communication between the moving consultants and the movers on this issue in particular.  In this same vein, I had been told to expect that the movers would have an estimate of the arrival date at my new location when they picked up my belongings at the old location, but this was also erroneous.  Additionally, I will advise anyone using Nationwide to make sure well ahead of time that all of the items you are hoping to move are on your estimate list.  Some items I know I listed over the phone had to be left behind because they were not on the final estimate.  I could have remedied my problem here by double checking the list more closely, so just make sure to be conscientious.

Long-distance move from Maryland to Massachusetts

LeAnne B move from MD to MA.

Hi this is LeAnne B. We are very happy with our move and our team.  I do want to be sure they get a well deserved 5 star * review from us  though!!   They moved us from a 3500 sq ft home to a 1300 sq ft home with only about 2 % breakage!! The team was very quiet and worked long hours and very late well into the evening in MD since we added  $1000 worth of items or .33 % increase in the load they took up to Boston.   on the Boston side they had a curfew and were able to stop at 10pm then start again in the morning and stayed until they were able to put our carpet down in our home and make sure all of the furniture was assembled.  I know they hourly budget was off and still they did not RUSH our job.  This is a 3*team and company and would use them again for international or even local moving!!   We liked the fact that they were very flexible and we could add weight or take away weight since we had a large home and a garage and a full attic   We sure added a lot in the end but they were able to stay until the last item was put together!   thank you all so much for a top notch job   LeAnne B.

Long-distance move from Pennsylvania to Florida

Sandra L F.

My choice for the moving consultant could not have been better. He was extremely knowledgeable, well spoken, patient, and always available to me. My move included two pickups in one state and delivery in another. I was told by a family member at pickup the the moving crew was extremely efficient and courteous. The cost of approximately $1700.00 included wrapping of wood furniture pieces, disassembling a glass televison stand and wrapping each piece separately. Upon delivery the physical moving crew was excellent! They worked quickly and efficiently putting together any furniture that needed to be reassembled and communicated well with me the entire time.  Would I use Nationwide again? Abolutely!

Long-distance move from Virginia to Florida

Nationwide Van Lines.

My moving experience was exceptional.  From beginning to end..Reggie, my salesman was patient, kind and provided excellent guidance.  The driver (Liel) and his very capable team did a fine job and were very attentive to detail both during the packing and loading in Virginia to the unloading in Florida.  All of my goods were packed carefully and they did not sacrifice the quality of their work by over-rushing the process. They made every attempt to accomodate me and my family when possible. In comparison to some other major companies, the pricing for this job was quite reasonable and the time required was very efficient.  I would highly recommend this company. .

Long-distance move from Pennsylvania to Florida

Professional, courteous and caring movers.

Relocating my young family (twin infants) from Pennsylvania to Florida was extremely stressful. When I began researching moving companies, I was overwhelmed with the amount of negative reviews and experiences. However, the folks at Nationwide Van Lines took care of everything in a very professional and courteous manner, allowing me to take care of my kids, pets and getting settled into my new home. From the first conversation with Kevin, the sales rep, who walked me through the entire process, to the final delivery of my items by Jose and his crew, I felt pretty confident that these guys would get the job done. My belongings were all accounted for, arrived in great condition and were unloaded in an organized manner. The crew was very professional and friendly.
My only complaint would be the timeframe from pickup to delivery. With infants and pets, I would have preferred my belongings to come sooner than 12 days. However, they were up front and honest from the beginning on what that timeframe could be so we could be prepared for that duration.  I will recommend this company to friends and family in the future.

Long-distance move from Virginia to Florida

I chose very well.

The entire process of contracting with Nationwide was a complete pleasure from the initial contact with Racheal, thru the pickup (Dennis ?) crew, the updates by dispatcher Giddeon due to the "Super Storm" affecting the travel schedule of the delivery crew. Yet, Indrek and his delivery crew arrived 2 days before the contracted delivery date. We have a lot of modern glass tables/furniture and 2 very large glass curio cabinets with very delicate keepsakes. Every item arrived in great condition; and was unpacked quickly and efficiently by Indrek and his joyful crew. I chose very well!!

Long-distance move from New York to Florida

Movers ok, CS and management.

I'd like to start with some objective info.  Moving companies do this every day. This may be a once in a life-time experience for most of us. So, there is a disconnect concerning expectations here.  They expect things to go like they always do (meaning they take your stuff, put it in storage and wait till it's most advantagous to them to deliver it).  And you are thinking they are actually driving your stuff from the location they pick it up..to deliver it to "you" ..when you need it.   NOT.   So, my expectations were entirely different.

And apparently CS job is to hide that bit of factual reality from you as best they can.  I closed on a house and needed my stuff delivered on my move in date.  I converyed that info to my CS rep..who gave me a pick up date based on that information.  I fully expected that to be honered/met..barring some unusual weather or other conditions that delayed the drive down.     My CS rep left me hanging on the day I was supposed to deliver my finalized list of items. Not only that, but did not forward my job to anyone else. So, I had to call the main number and start from scratch the day before my pick up day. The new rep..gave me a bogus quote for items I didn't have, etc. Then left me waiting for a call/quote without returning my call.  At that point..nobody at this company could figure out why I might be upset??   I was LIVID.   It wasn't until around that time that I was told I would NOT be receiving my stuff when I thought/planned.  So, we frantically tried to book a hotel in the area of our move for a few days. Mangement's whole/entire response to the situation was to make sure that I signed a statement that I read their binding quote delivery information (ie., they have "up to" 13 business days to deliver your stuff from the "first day you are available to receive it".  That's a far cry from ..I need my stuff to be in FL by "this" date". We lost hundreds of dollars on hotel.  Thank God seller left an old couch for us to sleep on in an otherwise empty house.  My wife was crying..we were miserable..I called every every day or so to try and get some information..and was stiff armed.  It was continually told there was "no" information about where my stuff was, when it would be delivered, etc. They took 17 full days to deliver my stuff.  It was not until the last 2 days that they offered any indication that they even knew where it was.  I will NEVER use them again. If you have no deadline nor care when you receive your stuff for up to 21 business days (a month)..they otherwise move your stuff ok.  But, who the heck moves like that??  I've been in contact with them since..and they still think this is all my fault.  I leave it for you to decide —nobody I know has every heard of such a thing..nor would they tollerate it either.
