I would like to thank Nationwide Moving Services Inc for the excellent work they did for my Father. They are really responsible and they took very good care of everything because they know how important each and everything is to my Father. They did everything right. They made a difficult move seem so easy. I will be happy to recommend Nationwide Moving Services Inc to everyone I know and plan on calling them in the near future for my own move. Thank you for helping us and I apologize for the late review. You guys are great to work with!

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $6691

Like others, I did not realize this was a "broker" and they did not present themselves that way and led me to believe they were the movers. They are scammers and do not deserve any stars. They lied through the entire process and contradicted themselves the whole way. I told them I had a 3 bedroom full house and they quoted me 350 sq ft and promised a refund if that was too much. I don't know anything about measurements but I later found out that is the size of one bedroom. When they called to confirm the inventory I told them I had an additional 20 boxes but no longer had the large coffee table, they still doubled the cost and demanded an additional $1500 "deposit", which turns out is actually their fee. My move was complicated because I had two stops, the first to a storage unit that had limited hours and the final stop involved a ferry ride. They assured me this was no problem to do two stops in one day, and assured me they would have ferry reservations for the truck. The agreement was to be at the ferry terminal no later than 4PM, which meant it had to be an early start for the day or the movers could not make it back off the island. They assured me movers would be there no later than 9AM. When they didn't show the morning of the move I contacted NWM and they said if I wanted to cancel I could go to their website and submit a cancellation, but i would lose my refund. The movers finally showed up at 1:30PM and didn't know anything about a ferry and said were not authorized to take a ferry and that the move was canceled. When I contacted NWM they said we have no idea what you are talking about and we will have the driver call you. An hour later a second set of movers called me and said they were on their way and would be there in 40 minutes. An hour after that I called and again was told they were "on their way" and would be there in an hour. The movers called an hour later and recommended waiting until the next day because it had taken them all day to "get a truck". I explained the situation to NWM, it was so late in the day the move could not take place and they said they don't guarantee delivery of items only the date of pickup, and it's in their "contract", and this was the first time I was hearing that!! The next day the movers showed an hour late, and demanded $12,000 CASH. Who has that much cash laying around? They explained the cubic square feet, so although I was assured I was being quoted for my full house, it actually did not include that. Their boss told them to just take me to the storage unit and not take a ferry and let me figure out the 2nd half of the move on my own, which would have left me stranded! NWM was ZERO help in getting the issue resolved and said I don't know what to tell you, they don't take credit cards and blamed me for having more stuff. I could not do the move that day and it meant I had to scramble to find new movers and had to start my new job a week late. I filed with the BBB and they sent FAKE receipts showing a refund, which they had NOT actually processed! I am still fighting to get my money back. My advice, Stay away from these scammers!!

We would never, ever consider using a professional moving company again after this experience! Nationwide gave us an estimate and told us our shipment would be there in 2 - 5 days from the day they picked it up. Our things actually arrived 11 days later and ended up costing us nearly twice as much as quoted (around $9500). We could have easily fit everything we had into a 20' U-Haul and been there the next day. Should have simply hired a couple of local men to load and unload, and rented a truck. Would've easily saved $6500 and had it delivered timely. You have no control when you hand it over to Nationwide - don't do it!

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $9500

They took $3400 from my friend, packed her stuff in the truck, closed the doors and told her to pay $5400 extra before they would open the doors and unpack it. They said that she used the whole truck which was "1800 cubic feet" and she only ordered "400 cubic feet". Tell me what 3 bedroom house would take up only 1/5 of a truck. He had 14 times to let her know that she was running the cost up FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS, but never mentioned it. They were supposed to be at her house at 8:30 am that morning, then 1 pm, but didn't arrive until 4:30-5 because "THEY" had broken down. Then they took 5 hours to load it and pulled this crap. They didn't deliver it until the next day and we told them we had a closing in the morning so the owner would not be at the storage building until late the next day. He said ok. THEN, they went to the storage the next morning which was 3 hours away from where he loaded it and left saying my friend never showed up and when she finally got a hold of somebody they said "their" truck broke down again and they couldn't deliver until the next morning, when they showed up two hours late. THEN, they told her she owed another $1700 for her stuff being in their truck over night! So $10,000 later she finally got her stuff that they wanted so desperately to keep, because that's how scam artist work, and she has decided to sue them. Thank God, because I was about to go back to school and become a lawyer. RIDICULOUS!! SHAME ON THESE PEOPLE!!

We completed a move from San Francisco to Nashville and used Nationwide to help. They subcontracted out to a company that engages in fraudulent practices and Nationwide has been unwilling to get involved. They told me on the phone "yeah, we have so many problems with them" and then gave me their phone number to deal with it on my own. Two things to consider when thinking about using Nationwide. First, we were charged 3x what was quoted on the day of when you have NO OTHER OPTIONS. Had to be cash or they were leaving. Second, now that we need our stuff delivered, they are threatening to auction off my stuff if I don't pay another fee that wasn't in the contract. To say this place is shady is an understatement, and Nationwide being unwilling to do anything about it or stop using the company so it doesn't happen to others says all you need to know about this company.

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $12000

We contracted NationWide to move our home from NY to FL, we released our furniture from storage on 8/11 and we have been given 3 delivery weekends, all of which have been a no call, no show. Today is 30 days since we released our furniture, the people at NationWide are taking no responsibility for contracting with a shady, fly by night company called Cross County Movers, Clinton NJ.

We plan to file a formal complaint tomorrow with the FMCSA.

We are beyond disappointed at the lack of response and action from NationWide. Please if you are reading this post do hire a broker, hire direct yourself.

Move size: 4+ Bedroom Home Service cost: $13550

The company connected me with "New Evolution Movers" and it was a horror story once they picked my stuff.

Literally, every conversation post that, they'd ask for more money above the contract ($207 was the least they charged in any of those conversations), and were very clear that if I need delivery, I better pay and take it. I paid more than i would've with any other organization and yet got the worst service and felt like shit after every conversation.

I'm telling you this. My mom called to get a quote and she is handicapped. They only wanted a video feed through her phone and estimation. They never had an actual person come over and see what she really had. Truck comes over can't fit all our stuff in it. Guess what.. More $$$$. These kind of people need to communicate better the paperwork and policy during these tense moves but they only communicate from hundreds of miles away. Upon calling head office and speaking to a supervisor, Annie, she was what I would expect that of a car salesman. Very unapologetic and non caring to say the least. Nothing on how we can do a better job next time only that it was never their fault. Most criminals say things like that. After talking to Annie she hung up on me. My advice, don't use this office. They are only after your $$$$$$$.
