Nationwide Moving Services Inc

We scheduled a move from CA to AK with nationwide, paid our $4000 deposit and they no showed on us several times. They refused to refund our deposit. It’s been months and we are still not moved. They finally got a company to call us but that company couldn’t move us. So now we’re out $4K and still not moved. There staff is unprofessional, never calls back when they say they will. The owner even scheduled a phone call with us and never called because he “forgot” it was his day off. Do not use this company!

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $12937

I was quoted an initial cost of $6,000. They touched base a few days before and I gave them an updated list which included the measurements of every single thing. The quote jumped to $8,000. After the movers had most of the furniture on the truck, they informed me that the cost would be $11,000! Also, I didn't want the furniture delivered before Sept 9. No problem. Right! But what they didn't tell me is that you've them a"no sooner than" date they don't even begin planning the delivery until that date. We are now living in a hotel at our expense and their comment was "So what do you want us to do?"I did not know this was a broker when I booked them. I thought our furniture would go on the truck and head to Illinois. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

I USED NATIONWIDE FRO A MOVE FROM CALIFORNIA TO FLORIDA. NATIONWIDE SOLD MY CONTRACT TO A-1 MOVING WHICH DID NOTHING RIGHT EXCEPT FULFILL THE PRICING SCHEME NATIONWIDE USES QUOTE IT LOW AND THEN WHEN THE CUSTOMER IS UP AGAINST THE WALL DOUBLE THE PRICE. OH AND DON'T CARE IF YOU BREAK ANYTHING THEY WON;T COVER IT ANYWAY. THEY DID 800.00 DAMAGE TO A MOTORCYCLE THEY MOVED FOR ME AND NOT ONE PENNY IN THE PROMISED COVERAGE WHICH IS ONLY .60 CENTS A POUND. THEY ALSO BROKE SEVERAL ITEMS AND BOXES SHOWED U TOTALLY CRUSHED. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY TO MY WORST ENEMY

They are a broker so they subcontract with other moving companies. Once they get your money, you’re on your own trying to deal with their third rate contracted service. The subcontractors did not even speak English and so no one was able to explain any of the discrepancies in price and policies . I ended up 2000 miles away with no furniture and had to find a hotel for 2 weeks while their 2 star rated subcontractor fumbled around trying to get my furniture from Chicago to Arizona. Nationwide customer service was absolutely no help . They said to “expedite the move, it would be more expensive! The nationwide sales representative, Eric DENGLER, previously very solicitous, was no where to be found.

At first I was worried about lacking knowledge in the field of moving long distance. Didn’t want to end up spending more money than I should, so I hoped getting the value I needed for my money spent. Fortunately, I got put on with a great company to provide me with great quality I needed when placing my valued items in their care. They were always available to answers all my questions and provided details that hadn’t even crossed my mind. A big thank you to this company for their reliability and dedication to my situation. I look forward to using them sometime in the future!

Working with Nationwide has been the worst experience my partner and I have had with a national moving service. Communication started out great and ended poorly. Getting a hold of our rep Eric was next to impossible at times. Multiple messages were left or promises to call us back and he never followed through. In fact, our rep even told us that they were too big of a company to transfer my call or information to a manager.

When the move was completed we were told by our driver we were over charged for space. Our belongings were not taken care of and our concerns were not heard. We personally provided logistics on the delivery and nothing was set up to accommodate.

When I spoke with Steven their customer service manager, instead of hearing our concerns he referred to the contract constantly and told me as a company they could / would not do anything instead passing me off to THEIR contracted company. In fact he made me feel like my hard earned money was swindled away and made excuse after excuse. In fact, they even talk down to you like you have no intelligence. (Mind you, I work for a large hospital system and my partner an engineer).

When we hired a broker to handle this move for us we never thought in a million years that the company we paid to be the third party would ignore us from start to finish and force us to deal with their partners because it wasn't their responsibility.

Never once have we asked for money back (although we will be now) or a refund. We understood things happen. Listening and actually hearing your customers to prevent this from happening to someone else was all we were initially looking for. We believe in learning and education. They believe in pointing fingers and passing the buck.

I WILL never work with this company again and recommend you DON'T either, unless you want dishonesty, lack of training and lack of accountability.

Word of mouth is the best advertisement and I don't publicly review often because everyone is entitled to their own experiences but if we can prevent someone else from going through the mental anguish, monitary loss and unvalued feeling then it is worth it to us
