Muscular Moving Men

I have moved several times in my life, most of which were long distances of 1,900 to 2,400 miles. I was so impressed with the communication I received from the driver Damon. He kept me informed of his arrival and strategies for loading the moving truck at my home. Damon and the two packers, Cris and Mike, were friendly, polite, respectful, and incredibly efficient. They all helped to keep my stress level at a minimum. I would definitely use and recommend Muscular Moving Men again in the future.

RUN..This is the biggest nightmare I ever experienced! Let's start this company showed up on May 24 with four packers, who packed about 80% of my home. On the 25th the truck showed up and the driver, Charles was angry NO inventory was taken, so he erroneously all in his hand writing filled out an inventory sheet and asked me to sign it or he could not load the truck. They still FAILED to get my belongings and had to return yet again on the 29th and STILL LEFT AN ARRAY OF STUFF that is now lost!! There was NO inventory taken on the 29th either.
The way my stuff was packed was done in an ill mannered form and stuff was tossed in boxes with no protection. It took my MONTHS to sort organize and most of it was disposed from irreparable damage. I sent a video to the company showing how my stuff was unloaded and the response was "What's wrong with that?" The majority of my stuff was thrown into one room, floor to ceiling, blocking doorways, broke windows, ripped the flooring, just for starters! They actually had a moving blanket in one bedroom with kitchen items, garage items and miscellaneous within that blanket! ALL BROKEN of course. ALL my art work was tossed into an 80" TV box with ZERO protection. My appliances were damaged, 90% of my furniture was broken! Actually it would be easier to say what was NOT broken, That was the stuff I packed myself! The company responds by saying ALL my items were broken and damaged. Seriously..I move from one state to another the owner Justin Hodge came to my home review what was being moved, and he placed a 69K value, Exactly, how did you get a value if ALL my stuff was already broken and damaged? I'm saying I would NEVER recommend, trust or use this company! I'll be happy to upload pictures, I have over 200 plus the video's upon arrival and what was left behind! They are the MOST UNPROFESSIONAL Company I have used, witnessed. OH..I CAN:T forget this..That inventory list was from National Van lines!! National Van Lines, after speaking to them had NOTHING to do with the move and did not give Muscular Moving Men permission to use their letter head, the response I received from David Popitan, "It doesn't matter, who's company letter head was on their, you signed it and it made it legal"! Really?? My damages are over 29K and I am missing thousands more!! Let's talk contracts..Who signed the Bill of Lading David? His Email response..I did..WRONG..Who signed the items were delivered in good condition David? "The person you hired" WRONG, he has written a letter stating that is NOT his signature either! So WHO DID SIGN THESE CONTRACTS? They ask me to submit an inventory list of broken/damaged/missing items and EACH AND EVERY time, is mostly N/A..HOW would they know what was on the truck when NO inventory was taken? Do you think the driver opened every box and inventored them..He DID NOT!!
I had beautiful antiques, collectibles that are all GONE! I lost my husband to cancer and EVERYTHING that was saved for our children is GONE!! I had to add humor to survive this nightmare!! I've been an avid doll collector and it can be verified on the internet any one who knows me, knows I collect dolls!! I possessed items that I owned world wide that were never seen, and guess what..IT"S ALL GONE!! ALL gone with NO explanation! I arrived here with no pots pans, silverware, towels, bed lines..ALL gone!! BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE..Of that amount of damage Muscular Moving Men offered a 700.00 settlement!

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $8900

The delivery experience was about as bad as it gets:

- Family dining room table (the one piece of furniture important to us) was broken in two large pieces and unrepairable.

- Hanging mirror (wedding gift) missing.

- Broken flat screen TV

- Several broken glass items.

It turns out Muscular Moving Men changed storage facilities in the middle of our remodel. The moving team said the table was already broken when they picked it up in storage so it must have happened when MMM changed storage facilities.

I was never notified of these extra moves ahead of time and was not notified when table was broken. Instead they just delivered it in pieces with some paperwork to sign and acknowledge it.

The owners showed no sympathy or concern. I was told I should have paid extra for the full replacement insurance and should have known the risks better .. but how can I account for risks I don't know about such as them moving our items multiple times without my knowledge or permission?

What stinks is I knew the owner (Josh) from college and hired MMM because I simply wanted a moving company I could trust to handle my family's possessions carefully. Even with the discount they offered, this was the highest bid of the companies I got quotes from -- in this case you won't get what you pay for.

I absolutely do not recommend this moving company for any type of moving or storage.

Just a word to the wise, think twice before using this company to move your personal belongings or for those of you in real estate recommending this company. I made the mistake of using them a couple months ago. As I am unpacking I am running across more and more things damaged during the move. Some items have sentimental value and cannot be repaired/replaced. This company is so sleezy that they still haven’t offered to compensate me for things that could be replaced. They were clearly negligent from the beginning by sending a smaller crew then what was agreed upon. The crew was worn out before they even got to my place at about 9:00a. I can not be more disappointed with my moving experience. I did not price shop but instead paid a premium price to this company. On booking the move I was promised that my belongings would be cared forand my floors and walls would be protected. I now have Filthy floors, scratches on furniture, and dented door frames. I am being told by the company that the damage will be repaired, but unfortunately there are items that cannot be repaired. Do not use this company. Look elsewhere!

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $1000

I've used this company three times. First time it was great, second time it was good, third time was downright bad.

The crew caused damages to the property (inside and out) leaving me with a repair bill from the owner. As soon as I started taking pictures of the damage, an in-house "damage inspector" showed up to take his share of the pictures. The crew also tried to shove large TV by lifting it and putting it into the box from the top down (instead of just having TV on the ground and putting the box on it). I am not a mover, but that is just common sense - is this the crew's first time doing a move?! Things like that made watching the crew doing a move painful.

Then at the destination, things like bed skirt, and recliner wires were misplaced. So not only did they not install it, but they also left me scrambling for days thinking these items were lost. Job not done!

They did try to send their own repair guy to the origin property, but the owner did not want anyone associated with this company to touch their property. Can you blame them?! This effectively left me on the hook for the damages to the owner. Meanwhile, muscular moving men stopped responding.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!
