Muscular Moving Men

I can not be more disappointed with my moving experience. I did not price shop but instead paid a premium price to this company. On booking the move I was promised that my belongings would be cared forand my floors and walls would be protected. I now have Filthy floors, scratches on furniture, and dented door frames. I am being told by the company that the damage will be repaired, but unfortunately there are items that cannot be repaired. Do not use this company. Look elsewhere!

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $1000

I've used this company three times. First time it was great, second time it was good, third time was downright bad.

The crew caused damages to the property (inside and out) leaving me with a repair bill from the owner. As soon as I started taking pictures of the damage, an in-house "damage inspector" showed up to take his share of the pictures. The crew also tried to shove large TV by lifting it and putting it into the box from the top down (instead of just having TV on the ground and putting the box on it). I am not a mover, but that is just common sense - is this the crew's first time doing a move?! Things like that made watching the crew doing a move painful.

Then at the destination, things like bed skirt, and recliner wires were misplaced. So not only did they not install it, but they also left me scrambling for days thinking these items were lost. Job not done!

They did try to send their own repair guy to the origin property, but the owner did not want anyone associated with this company to touch their property. Can you blame them?! This effectively left me on the hook for the damages to the owner. Meanwhile, muscular moving men stopped responding.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1200

This job was not correctly assessed from the initial call, which did cause several complications. During my initial phone call, I was very clear that I had around a dozen of very heavy items that needed to be moved from a 1 story house to a 3 story condo and that the stairs were very tight.

The team assigned was not equipped with the right tools, or enough men for the job.

Here's what went wrong:

1) The moving truck had a technical issue that required a mechanic to come to the job, which put us behind 45 minutes.

2) The team had issues with my heavy items, which caused them to dent, scrape, and damage my walls on all three flights of stairs. This will result in having to hire a professional to patch and paint my walls.

3) The moving team had to pivot, because the team was struggling/under staffed, we needed (2) additional men, and equipment to hoist some items through my balcony. This was an additional $200 cost to me. This also extended the move time 30 mins as we waited for the team to arrive.

4) I also got the sense that the team hired was overworked, that they all had a late night move the previous night and that they lacked sleep. I took the best care of them as I could, fed them, provided water, and tipped them. I felt so bad for them!

My thoughts:

1) I do believe that the individual on my initial call underestimated the job, I assume he thought a dozen items would not be difficult- but I trusted the company at the time and hired them.

2) I recommend that Muscular Men Moving have someone walk the site or simply go to Zillow to get a sense of the property to provide an accurate quote and support needed to get the job done - safely and without damage.

3) I felt extremely stressed during the move, although we can't control the "unknown" of some circumstances, I felt that time was wasted, that my beautiful new home was damaged, that I was being taken advantage of with charges.

4) When things got bad- no one from Muscular Men Moving leadership team called me. The team lead on ground was a conduit making calls to his leadership- He was pretty clear that the job was not going as expected... I'd like to think that a company would desire to make it right and call me.

What a joke. Their prices may have been SLIGHTLY lower but in hind sight I wish I would have went with a different company. I was told they could not move my TV's unless I rented boxes from them at $45 each. They didn't use the boxes and broke my 65 inch TV. I reached out to Victoria to make things right, another colossal failure. For another $200 I could have hired a company that would have done exactly what they said and wouldn't have had to shell out another $1,500 to buy a new TV. Moving is stressful enough, which is why you hire a moving company in the first place. Save yourself some money, time, trouble and extreme frustration and hire someone else...anyone else.

Tyler originally quoted an amount which almost doubled when the job was complete, and they didn't bother to include my $75 deposit on the final bill. I asked all the right questions and was told the only way that the bill would increase is if they go over on time which they did by a half hour. I phoned David Popitan about this issue (GM) who came across as it is what it is! I also had to ask for a receipt that I received two months later. We recently moved to Arizona and were recommended to contact MMM&S, I wish we hadn't because it was a complete disappointment.

We closed on our new build between Christmas and New Years, a time when many companies close their doors. After not being able to schedule with our previous moving company I reached out to MMM and they got us on the schedule for the day and time we needed. The morning started a little rough as the truck broke down on the way to us. It took a couple of hours for the truck to get fixed but when it did the movers arrived ready to work. We were quoted 4-5 hours and they had it done in 3 hours and 15 minutes. The movers were fast and friendly and took care to not drag mud and dirt into our new home as it had been raining the previous day. You can definitely find cheaper movers, but in this case you get what you pay for. Would definitely recommend and use them if we move again, but hopefully we are here for a long time!

Definitely would HIGHLY DISCOURAGE anyone from using Muscular Moving Men. It was a pretty bad experience from start to finish. When scheduling the move, they gave me a quote and on moving day, I was told they had to add almost 75% onto the original quote because of the time it was going to take. I found this a little fishy considering Muscular Moving Men moved me and my stuff (the same stuff I still owned and was moviong again) just a year ago, so they had a full inventory of my things and still got the quote wrong. Classic bait and switch. Knowing from past moving experiences that things happen and things get damaged, I also paid for the full coverage insurance. On my quote, the insurance is listed as "FULL REPLACEMENT COVERAGE". Well, of course there were things that were damaged during the move, and they're serviceman deemed beyond repair. So when I submitted the claim for reimbursement, Victoria told me the insurance only covers the "depreciated value" of the belongings. That's not "FULL REPLACEMENT COVERAGE". That's a downright lie! She quoted the fine print, but who has time to read all of that when they ask you to sign 12 documents the morning of your move? They ruined a piece of fine art. And they offered me a "depreciated value" on my art. Who ever heard of a piece of art that depreciates?!? It's absurd, and it's a very poor way to do business and handle people's belongings. You can find much better movers, that won't lure you in with low prices only to gouge you on moving day, and that will actually reimburse you for damages that their employees caused. I'm entirely disappointed, and could not, in good conscience, recommend Muscular Moving Men to anyone.

Who likes to move, let's be honest....moving stinks- however, Muscular Moving took the stress of my move away for me.

I had a last minute multi-day move and these guys were amazing.

I placed a quote request online and their sales team contacted me before I even exited from their web page.

The sales gentleman was my first point of contact, and was amazing, but then all the way to the drivers, the teams were wonderful.

I would 100% recommend this company, hands down, to anybody needing a company to help with their move.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3500

They meticulously blanketed & wrapped our furniture. Tetris masters with our boxes, totes & odd size pieces. No wasted space. Everything arrived in great shape. They were polite, professional & worked tirelessly. Our estimator was right on the mark withthe size of truck needed, number of blankets and ratcheting straps needed to secure our belongings. The day of our loading, the company called mid load to check on progress, asked if there were concerns or issues. They also called at the conclusion of our loading. There were none for our move. We will highly recommend them to anyone who moves in the future.

I had a small move to make from my condo to my new house. My realtor recommended MMM so I used them. They showed up on time and both of the guys were clean cut, super friendly and in good shape. They wrapped all of the furniture, packed it and loaded it up. I had two beds that were pretty complicated to take apart but they had them disassembled in no time. They guys hustled, but didn’t rush things. Everything was delivered and assembled at the new house even faster than it was packed. The guys were great. Friendly, clean and respectful. 5 stars all the way!

Moved me into a one bedroom apartment across the valley with ease. Were super nice, showed up on time, took excellent care of my belongings, and actually had fun doing it. We had an issue where my treadmill originally wasn't going to be able to fit through the balcony door, and my team of 2 figured it out (Angel and another guy, blanking on his name currently, but both were AWESOME). I have never paid for movers before so I considered the price to be steep but hopefully worth it, and goodness it was. Could not recommend the company more!

Very stellar performance all around from MM&M. The initial customer service rep was very helpful and friendly, and was very patient and flexible while I confirmed my moving dates on a new-build home. On the day of the move, the guys were on-site 10 minutes early and got straight to work. They were incredibly fast and efficient, but took the necessary precautions to preserve the furniture. While moving the things into the new house, they took the time to ask where everything should go and were patient with us as we decided where we wanted to put things. Very satisfied with this service, and I would highly recommend these movers as the pricing was very competitive as well!

Called Muscular Moving Men for the third time to move our belongings from our home to a storage unit while we renovate a new home. Chad and Colin arrived promptly, were professional and efficient and such hard workers. They loaded the truck strategically and did the same as they unloaded. We were amazed at how organized they were as they loaded our boxes and furniture into storage. It was impressive! I'll definitely call them again when it's time to move to the new place!

We hired Muscular Moving Men to help us prep/wrap our parents furniture for moving out of state. It was a 3 bedroom and one office home that filled a 26 foot U-Haul truck and one trailer.

We were impressed by the three guys that came to the rescue. They were professional, hardworking, and kind to our elderly parents. They worked hard for over 8 hours in Arizona heat. Packed the truck like Tetris masters.

Hired two guys once we arrived at the new home out of state and these guys commented over and over how well the truck was packed. 100% safe and no damage or breakage.

This was the second time we have used Muscular Moving Men. Both times 100 % satisfied with this service.

We used MMM for 2 moves this past year as part of a home remodel. They helped us move furniture and items out of our home into the garage and then back after the project was completed. They always were helpful, positive and able to move our items without any problems. We even had them move a very heavy table upstairs only to determine it didn't fit and then move it back downstairs to another location. They didn't complain, just did it with a positive attitude.
