DO NOT FALL FOR Moving Central, LLC MOVING SCAM Read below so I can save your hard earned money.

1. They keep Sales, Customer Service, and the movers as separate companies. One is not accountable to the other. Good luck if you have any complaints.

The Sales rep For moving Central Jonah tells you what you want to hear in order to get you to sign up with Moving Central LLC, he will give you some BS that you have to pay the Deposit in cash to pay the Drivers. Please do not fall for this! If you cannot pay with a credit card do not hire a moving company. Even if you agree to key terms, they will not honor it, they will tell you call customer service.

2. Customer Service Moving Central LLC, what rude, lying individuals. They take no accountability to what the sales people have sold you. They will not honor anything. They BS on pick up times, and, deliveries, do not hire this company you will get scammed. If you hire this company your items will never arrive on your specified schedule, and they will charge 2X to 4x what the contract states. Once they have your items they have you.

3. Movers: The movers will tell you a totally different story than the sales rep, and customer service. They will never stick the pick-up times, they will over charge you for distance fees, packing, and cubic feet.

Bottom line do not hire Moving Central LLC unless you want to be scammed. Make sure if your hiring a long distance moving company, you negotiate the distance fee, packing, cubic feet in writing. If any company is not willing to put this in writing, or accept credit cards run!!!!. I am trying to help you not get scammed. Gregg D

WARNING WARNING WARNING. The slimiest people around

These people are the worst scammers in the industry. Run, don't walk away. They lie, cheat, and are rude.( that's you Ben and Jonah.) Once they get your deposit - which they hustle like the sleaziest of used car salesmen, just try to get any straight answers. They never tell you that they will broker your job out to the only company that actually has worse reviews than them. When you complain - Ashley says "she's never heard of this thing happening.".....Honestly, I don't know how they can look at themselves in the mirror.

Don't want to give even a 1 star. They should be out of business.

Horrendous Company - Please Do Not Use.

I’m not one to leave reviews, but I urge you to read this. I recently had to cancel my long distance (Tennessee to Oregon) move with Moving Central LLC and forfeit my large deposit due to extremely rude, unprofessional, and disgusting behavior towards me.

Jonah from quality assurance called me to complete an inventory checklist to make sure everything regarding the contract is up to date. His attitude towards me was demeaning (he constantly talked down to me and interrupted me- I could barely get a word in), but I continued with the appointment and gave him the benefit of the doubt.

However, finally, he gave me an updated quote. After only adding 8 large boxes (and being told that a few of my items like

My desk and dresser were “larger than industry standard”) the cost of my move increased by DOUBLE.

I consider myself a non-confrontational person, and even with my quiet demeanor Jonah’s attitude was absolutely horrendous (and scary for me as a young woman). He raised his voice at me multiple times, told me I didn’t know what I was talking about, that he bet I’ve “never moved before”, interrupted me, talked to me like I was stupid, and was overall an absolutely horrible employee and “quality assurance” agent. I did not once raise my voice at him, and he continued to berate me.

Overall, DO NOT use this company. Not only do they have some shady practices, but Jonah alone was enough to make me question their credibility and made me cancel the move. Jonah should be disgusted with his behavior, and I would rather spend thousands elsewhere than save a little bit of money by using a company that has employees like Jonah.

Dont do it

I had a move scheduled from Minnesota to Oregon for 6\29\2021

I was supposed to get a call a few weeks before hand to get a full inventory list, that never happened. I called them to make sure they'd arrive on the scheduled day. I was told yes. Well the day came and went, no one showed up. Anytime I'd call they say "we dont have that information in this department but I'll get it and call you back" they never called me back. Now it's the day after, I'm supposed to get on a plane to Portland and I cant get a hold of anyone at moving central.

Horrible People and Thieves!!

These people will constantly move the date further and further back and when you finally get tired of their endless excuses and decide to go with someone else, they will REFUSE to give you back your deposit that they previously said was refundable! When you all got your money back due to their gross incompetence, they will COMPLETELY change the story and tell you that it was non-refundable all along (total lie)!

If you value your money and your time, you will NOT do business with these liars and thieves!

Dishonest and Misleading

American National Moving/ Moving Central LLC

On 8/19/20 I spoke with Brian Akron, Moving Consultant. I provided him with an inventory list that I had used in my previous move. That inventory list contained approx. 6200 LBS. He originally quoted me a price of approx. $6600 which I told him was out of my budget and that I was continuing to get other quotes from additional movers. He asked what my price point was and I told him $4000. He then asked if he could get the estimate down to $4000 if I would use them. I agreed. I also asked him if American National Moving was a broker and he said that they would be handling the move personally. It would’t be passed on to another company. After discussing in detail my move I signed a contract and provided a deposit of $784.

On 8/26 I was contacted by David Smith to set up a call with their operations person to go over the details of my move. I was told Jonah would be contacting met at 12 pm MST. No one called and then at 12:52 MST Jonah tried calling me. We finally connected at 1:19 pm MST. Jonah instructed me to review the top portion of my contract which showed I would be using approx. 730 cu ft. In parentheses next to this was a weight of 4300 LBS. Almost 2000 LBS difference between my inventory list. I started to question this and Jonah became frustrated and condescending asking me why I was even bringing it up. I was trying to explain my concern in the difference in LBS and likely needing additional cubic feet and it costing more than originally quoted. He started telling me to be quiet and listen and not interrupt. He was extremely rude, unprofessional and threatening. I have never been treated so poorly by a business in my life. After I was allowed to speak I informed Jonah that 730 cu ft. would not be enough he said it would likely cost me double. I was so disgusted by the conversation that I decided to cancel my move.

Upon calling customer service to cancel my move I spoke with a representative who wanted to me to talk with the QA manager. I then talked to David Smith to whom I explained the situation. He asked if he could go over everything with me to keep the business and I agreed to give him the opportunity. We agreed to speak on Saturday 8/28 at 12 pm MST. David did not call. I called him 3 times between 12-1:20 pm MST when David informed me had an emergency. We then agreed to talk on Monday. David did not out and I had to track him down again. At this point I was extremely disgusted and disappointed with the unprofessionalism and lack of client service by the company that I no longer trusted them to move my household.

Upon finally connecting with David I explained the trust had been broken and I did not want to move forward with my move. I asked that an exception be made to refund my deposit as I believe the circumstances warranted an exception. He said he would have to talk to the owner of the company. I then contacted the finance department and explained the situation. She agreed that there was a large discrepancy between the original estimate and the amount of space I would likely need. She would still not refund my deposit. I tried to give them the opportunity to make it right but they declined. Therefore this is my old option to get my money back. The $784 means a lot more to me than it does them and I feel that I gave them the opportunity to right any wrongs and advanced notice of my cancellation that a refund will not cause them the financial strain it will me to lose $784.

SCAM

I put $4,500 down for a deposit and like many others, the driver never showed. The company never answered my calls, they were all nice when they took my money and than forced us to pay extra via wire and threatened they wouldn't show if I didn't, well I paid and they still didn't show. DO NOT use this company. They have several names, mine was American National MOvers - Tom Thunder

American National Moving

DOT #3476043 mc#1139286 (from their website). I mistakenly used this company, not realizing it was a broker. They put me with another "mover", that attempted to steal 1/2 of our goods, we just recovered them 5 weeks later in the state we moved from. Company is a broker, they do not care who moves you, nor do they care if they are crooks. So long as they have a DOT, they are "GOOD". Stay away!

RIPPED OFF

I gave them a check for $700.00. I worked with them for 4 months coordinating my life. I told them I was flying in and out and had to have a definitive date I could depend on. Over and over I asked to ensure there would be no issues. I was not given any contact information to call the movers. The office is closed over the weekend with no emergency contact number. I was left stranded no phone no movers showed up. No it wasn't the weather. I got no call to make sure everything went well. I tried to call first thing the Monday after and no answer. I sent an email, no answer. I tried Monday afternoon and got through. Was told they would call me right back. I got no call. I called again on Tuesday and Nicole started with an attitude. Was told they have not heard back from their movers. And when I asked about who was going to reimburse me for 2 days of work $500 for airline tickets, 3 nights in a hotel and a rental car. Not to mention my $700 deposit, I was told they never guaranteed the dates they were only tentative dates. Now, I had asked at least 10 times over 4 months about the dates being locked in and was told yes every time. Now, I am out $1700 and my belongings have still not been picked up and Moving Central inc will not call me. They tell me that because I could not make arrangements to fly back 5 days later the contract is voided. I am out over $2500.00 and because I paid by check I cannot have my credit card company reimburse me for services not received.

Bait and Switch

Asked and was quoted for a full service move, paid my deposit and 2 days prior to move was told it did not include the packing of my belongings. Customer service was unreachable and after cancelling was argued with and denied a refund and hung up on. Horrible scam of a company, not a shred of decent customer service.

Easiest move of my life!

I thought moving during the Holidays was going to be stressful. These guys made it so easy I could have done it in my sleep! Jacob is the most courteous person I've ever spoken to over the phone. No pushy movers, no headaches and a great price!

I definitely recommend them to anyone who doesn't want to lug boxes and furniture themselves!

Inconsistent scam company

They claim to help coordinate moves within a given time frame. They have no trucks of there own and inconsistent contacts. I paid for the move and paid a second fee for the adjusted estimate in order to facilitate a smooth move. Ultimately, they did not schedule a move for me or repay my funds. Do not use.

Was quoted a price of less than $3000.00 for a move to Arizona. When movers arrived they wanted more than $2000.00 more which I refused to pay and cancelled the move. Moving Central wouldn’t honor the original quote or refund my down payment of $1465.00. This has been nothing but a headache. Save yourself time and money, use another company.

Moving went as planned.

We moved from IL to CA with three kids and a dog. Things went as planned and we were able to get into the house there and be ready for the moving van. They did a great job and arrived on time. We had a lot of stuff but they handled it all with care. Big thumbs up from me!

Booked a Move for July 5th and moving company contacted me that they would be there by 1, never showed up and told me truck had a flat. Promised to be there by 7 am the next day but never contacted me. Had to do my own moving as repeated calls and emails went unanswered. Would give negative stars if allowed
