Overall had a pretty good experience. First time using a moving company so I had no idea what to expect and was pretty nervous. I researched several companies online and went with this one because it had the best reviews and were ready to move us within the week. The movers were exceptional and did a great job packing and loading. The movers who unloaded were also exceptional....but they were a different company (Jordan River Moving). The cons here were that, although communication seemed good during booking, it faltered after pick up until the other company received my load. My phone calls were never returned once pick up happened, which of course sent me into a panic. It was not made clear that there would be a different company involved, and in fact I was given the impression that it was going to be the same crew and co. delivering and was charged an extra $800 for their truck "to return to headquarters in Spokane." They didn't go anywhere near Spokane, nor do they have headquarters there. Once the delivering company, Jordan River Moving, acquired my items, they were in consistent contact with me. The other thing I've learned from this (and what I expected after reading reviews online of many different companies) is that the initial quote is never the final price. Overall, my things were picked up timely by Move Happy and delivered timely by Jordan River. The movers themselves were awesome, and all my items were intact and accounted for. I don't regret my choice with Move Happy, and would probably use them again, but I think they really need to work on communication and clarity.

Read all the other 1-star reviews on Yelp & here - be alarmed as my experience has been similar. Risk your valuable belongings with somewhere safer and ethical. Dysfunctional operations with manipulative, unethical customer services to justify it and take advantage of you. Below is what I faced -

** 1. Lying on the dispatch status - turned out that they initially lied about the dispatch status to ask for a much higher quote when I tried to reschedule or request rerouting. Later, I discovered our stuff had been never dispatched.

** Inflated balance on the fee signing doc - an almost 80% inflated balance was posted. I caught it and had to point it out multiple times to get it corrected before signing.

**3. Unfair handling of delivery destination change: because they had given us a short notice (only after a month from the initiation) and it turned out that we couldn't meet their availability window and ETA, we ended up changing the delivery destination. Despite the new destination being 8 hours less of their labor and time, the same direction not impacting any of the logistics, they refused to credit back the difference.

More than $1000 wasted. I normally don't make efforts to write negative reviews but this was one of the worst experiences I had and wanted to warn others, save them from the same troubles.

These gentlemen were awesome. Long distance from Maui to Portland, oregon. Alex kept me up to date on where my stuff was the whole time. Came in sooner then we thought but I was ready. Packing my stuff up was really good. They were gentle all the way. Getting my stuff to my house didn't work out, I expected that, so to save funds they suggested to meet up and we could transport my stuff ourselves. The truck driver handled everything very professionally. Couldn't of been happier. Until the next move.

My wife got transferred with her company and they had us tasked with managing the move and they would pay for it.

We didn’t have too much in our place in Sayulita as it came mostly furnished when we moved in but we arranged with the landlord to purchase and have some things shipped. They needed a lot of care as they were delicate and we were moving into our new condo in Columbus Ohio.

All went well and as scheduled. We plan to use Move Happy again as we move spring a lot and need a reliable moving company.

Used twice in the last six months. The pick ups were terrific, but stuff is stored for too long 2 1/2 weeks in Kailua Kona, and almost 3 weeks in LA until they finally delivered it. The first time they gave a very expensive piece of art to another drop off, then told them to keep it. Fortunately, the other people were very honest and called us. This last time many of our containers were crushed and broken, the good thing is not much inside was damaged. Maybe it was just the agent different, the first move they were responsive, kind, and professional. The second agent was rude and not very professional at all. The good thing is both times they got our stuff here in about seven weeks from Hawaii to the mainland as predicted. Probably would look at other carriers next time.

My mom was coming to come live at my place for awhile and she wanted to bring her mattress and some other items from her condo in Long Beach. The cost was quite good and the team was able to navigate Southern California traffic and arrive at my place within an hour of the scheduled delivery time. The moving team was friendly and easy to reach by text since they picked up my mom’s things so there were no surprises. We plan to use them again when we have any moves coming up. My mom might get her own place in the next year or so.

From my initial contact to final delivery, I was completely satisfied with every step of the way. Everyone I spoke with was very helpful and clear in explaining every step and question. I was given a pick up timeframe and they were there on the first day of the pickup window. The pick up driver was very friendly, thorough and careful. I was kept informed all the way. My items were delivered within the timeframe I was told, actually ahead of the time frame (they did advise me it was leaving port sooner than expected). The delivery guys were friendly, quick and careful.

I am a 100% satisfied customer.

From Hawaii to California, this team made the entire moving process smooth and stress-free. Their communication was excellent, and their hospitality truly stood out. They took such good care of me during a very difficult time when I was grieving the loss of a family member and wasn’t ready to part with some sentimental items just yet. Their professionalism, patience, and kindness meant the world to me. Absolutely worth every penny for the quality of care and service they provided. Highly recommend!

Initial phone contact from Jeff was good. Liked what Move Happy had to offer/price was reasonable. Only concern was when I made $100 deposit he did not tell me there was a cc service fee. It was a small amount but I would have paid by cashiers check or other. Customers should always be notified. Our next contact was with Richard. He was really good always pleasant answering all our questions and followed up when he was unsure of the answers. We made several changes to our items and he accommodated all of our requests plus offered us a better final price that really helped our moving budget. He was always available to take our questions over the phone and updated us followed up with the status of our goods from the beginning to the end. Movers in HI pick up was excellent they came with enough help to pack and tagged all items safely and handled all transactions professionally. Mover in CA delivery was good although he came by himself he could have used another mover to assist lifting heavy items. My husband had to help. Otherwise he was very careful and carried each item safely into our home had my husband check off all items on list very professional.

Only concern was when unpacking one storage container with books was filled with a colony of live ants. Ants were crawling all around some of the other containers too. My husband took a lot of time to disinfect out all of the ants then wiped down each book. Not sure how this happened? Perhaps somehow at warehouse or dock sitting before transit or at arrival to warehouse waiting for delivery. It took 40 days from pick up to delivery.

My experience with move happy was phenomenal. I was quoted a certain price and was actually charged the exact amount that I was quoted.

The workers moved my items very carefully and didn’t waste any time in my previous residence. Each item was labeled and itemized for my records that were sent to me by email.

I was told that my items may take up to 21 days to reach Florida, however, I received my items in one week.

The unloading crew was just as good as the loading crew. I definitely was a little concerned considering I had 4 large tv’s as well as a couple mirrors within my load. Everything arrived in perfect condition.

Prior to hiring Move Happy I had to turn around 2 different companies because they tried to up charge me when they got to my home. Also, Move Happy showed up with a huge truck in California and in Florida. The other companies pulled up in small trucks that I questioned as well as workers that didn’t look professional.

I’m from South Central LA and I don’t play games. I’m only writing this review because Move Happy really deserves it with all of the other sneaky rip off companies out there. If I ever move from Florida I’ll definitely call them again.

The companies that were definitely trying to get over were Eagle Moving Group and Van lines , stay away from those two for sure.

So, so much damage to my formerly pristine furniture. My thick glass lamp (that I've moved with multiple times) that was gifted by my aunt to me and all my cousins was completely shattered. A bunch of important screws and some of my bed slat connector/holders were also missing.

I'm pretty sure the NYC movers think their dirty blue blankets that they use to wrap the furniture are some sort of invincible protective shield, allowing them to throw and drag and bump the furniture wrapped inside without any care at all.

The LA movers were the total opposite, but at that point, it was too late. They delicately delivered my belongings, but the damage was already done from the NYC pick-up movers.

Do not use Move Happy if you're moving from NYC to LA. Maybe only use them if you're moving within Cali.

WE MOVED OUR OWN JEWELRY. OUR ERROR WAS WE MOVED THE JEWELRY BOXES INTO THE NEW HOUSE WHILE THEY WERE STILL IN IT. WE SAW THE WATCHES THE MORNING OF THE MOVE IN OUR OLD HOUSE AND AFTER THEY LEFT THE TWO WATCHES WERE MISSING. THEY CLAIM THAT IS NOT EVIDENCE. I AM A RETIRED TRIAL LAWYER. IT IS PERFECTLY LAWFUL EVIDENCE IN EVERY COURT AS AN INFERENCE. NOT ONLY THAT, BUT THE TREATMENT WE RECEIVED ONCE WE ASSERTED OUR CLAIM WAS UNPROFESSIONAL IN MY OPINION. GO ELSEWHERE, ANYWHERE BUT WITH THIS COMPANY.

I was referred to Move Happy by a friend. She had used them before and said they were very professional and could deal well with carefully packing and shipping a lot of things. I have four kids under 10 years old and am. single mom, so I really needed to feel comfortable with the moving team.

My expectations were met and then some.

All of our things were moved on time and without damage to our new home in Seattle and there were no added fees over the initial estimate.

A friend of mine recommended Move Happy as he had used their services before to move to Hawaii from California.

The team that came to my property was well trained and packed my things well and with great care.

I asked them to bring additional supplies since I have a few antiques that I wanted packed extra carefully. The cost of the move was reasonable and there were no issues. The moving team arrived with my delivery on time to Honolulu. I Pam to recommend them to colleagues at work that have to make a similar move in the future as our office is moving incrementally to Hawaii from California in the next year.

Move Happy really came through for me and my family. The move from Maui to Honolulu went smoothly and there were no delays or damage to our things.

We needed to use their storage facility before we could move into our new place. It was easy to get to, climate controlled and secure.

The pricing was very good for such a high caliber team. The drivers and packers were very knowledgeable and knew what it took to complete a successful move.
