Long-distance move from Hollywood, FL to Mesa, AZ

Horrible.

We used mission moving to move across country. They hooked us in with good reviews, an agreed upon pricing, and an estimated time of delivery that worked with us. After we signed a contract they pawned us off to some random company we knew nothing about (cross state movers) who then provided horrible customer service, jacked up the price, and changed the amount of time it would take to deliver. That company increased our cost by $1,000, increased time of delivery by weeks, showed up late to pick up, showed up with ONLY ONE guy to unload our entire truck, and we sustained over $1,000 in damages. We went through the claims process with them and they are declining to pay for any of it.We have been in contact with mission moving throughout the whole process since they were the company we got hooked into this whole mess with. The only person that ever answers the phone is the sales department, customer service never answers or calls back. They have done nothing to try to resolve this issue for us. We got a good ol bait and switch and have had the worst experience moving.

Long-distance move from San Diego, CA to Fayetteville, AR

Heed the negative reviews - Don't waste your time here.

I have an experience almost identical to quite a few other reviewers. First it starts with a nice conversation, a promise of an inexpensive move and they'll take care of it all. I straight up asked Andrew Frost if they were a broker as I had no intention of going that route and expressed major concerns about the whole situation. I was assured it wasn't, shame on me for not looking at reviews. They do not accept credit card and state it's for their protection..from the unethical approach they have. It's no wonder they won't take a debit card. A quick google search and you can find that the BBB reports 7% all complaints filed are against movers. Andrew bragged to me about the money he was making when we casually talked for 45 minutes. He suggested I get in the business and now I see why. They know how to remain low key, have barely a website and have a 3rd party helpline (I'll get to this one) for their customer service after hours hotline. There are no direct lines, chances for insurance and the communication is pathetically bad. Back to the move, I was quoted at $3600 that included them boxing up my 2 bedroom. The "inventory" was what the price was based on. Then you're to pay a deposit, mine was just over $1000. I booked 2 months in advance, picked my dates and awaited the call a few days before pickup. Then I get the call from Eric McDonald from Quality Assurance and let me tell you, this guy is a piece of work. I was told I had a "way longer than usual" final inventory. I wanted to make sure every item in my apt was accounted for, all dimensions of furniture were taken and we had as accurate of an estimate. Why do you need another estimate? Oh so they can add more dollars to your amount owed. I was told, after even selling a few pieces of furniture and selling smaller items, that my total was now $4229 and owed an addition $600 right then and there. Again, it was a struggle to pay with a credit card and the fear of me going to my bank was to. It's like they knew what they were doing. Too late to change our minds, I paid with the CC. Eric sensed my frustration and concern at potentially paying even more the day of pickup. The amount of times he called me buddy and condescended me was jarring. My gf was sitting there shaking her head. It felt gross and slimey sales guy. So then I'm to wait for a call the day prior to the two day window. I don't hear from anyone so I reach out on the day before the second day and ask when I'm to expect a call. Eric responds with "you might have missed the call", like I wasn't paying attention. More condescension. The carrier finally calls me and its at that point I realize this is a broker situation and not a very communicative one. I've worked for a broker. I know the gimmick. You use someone's service and just charge over what they would charge to make some profit. So this carrier starts telling me it'll probably be more if we don't do a THIRD inventory. I was driving at the time, running errands for the move and he asked I call him back. As busy as I was, I failed to do so. No one shows up the next morning. I call and speak with the guy I talked to the night before and he assumed I don't want the service, even though he knew I signed a contract and paid a depost - but they don't know that bc it's a broker situation. I'm stunned. No one from Mission Moving reached out, the carrier didn't call me back to confirm and only assumed. Then he finally says that he'll come on Sunday, a day later than my contractual dates. I say great, I'll call mission moving to update. I speak with Lisa on the help line and I express my shock and disappointment with the service so far. She assures me that all is good and that she'll speak with the carrier. I asked her to call or text me that all is good and never heard from her. Then no one showed up the next day, I called everyone multiple times. I called the helpline 3 times and got the same "we'll submit and urgent ticket". Monday comes around and I call Eric and Andrew - no answer. I call the mainline and i'm on hold for 20 minutes. I hang up and dial to act as if I was a new customer and immediately got ahold of someone, imagine that? They claim they are finding a new carrier. Meanwhile i'm supposed to be on the road, heading 1500 miles away. There's no customer service because they work in the shadows and don't care to uphold a reputation. Stay far away from this complete garbage and scam of a company. Research moving companies and you'll see the predatory model and unethical practices that've been adopted by Mission Moving. There was absolutely no way I was going to. use them again and canceled the whole thing. No idea what's going to happen with my deposit.

Long-distance move from Hoboken, NJ to Austin, TX

Worst Terrible Moving Company - Fraud be Aware.

Wish I read this review in details in advance. So, like others booked this Andrew Frost gave us a quote of $1927 with cf of 363. We were v v accurate to an extent we shared our furniture pictures and sizes to get an acurate quote. During QA with Eric call, we just made 2 adjustments which brought down our price to $1924 and cf to 361. Same we shared pictures to be specific.

Our items were supposed to be picked up on Oct 3, the carrier who came had wrong document and kept being rude that we need to pay extra without giving us any details. Next thing he just left us stranded even after stickers were put and items were brought to the street to be picked. We called Sarah and she arranged a different carrier who picked up on Oct 4th. To our utter shock we got to know that the cf would rise from 361 to 550 even though we did not ship 4 items from our QA inventory list. We ended up paying $1500 more.

Andrew, Eric, Leena, Neela, Rick, Sarah everyone is playing games. They just want customers to put on a trap so, they can suck money from them with false information. Neela promised I will get discount and now they sent me email saying NO Discount. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Am still waiting for my items hope I get them in the condition I have given. They cannot provide a solid date of delivery and keep wordsmithing with the same unknown replies.

THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN SOON. ALL CUSTOMERS SHOULD TAKE STRICT LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THEM. We will pay including tips only if we get good service not otherwise. Its hard earned money and not to be stolen in this manner.

Long-distance move from San Francisco, CA to Indianapolis, IN

Scam.

Despite repeated reminders, they missed my pickup window. I called 4 times the day of the move and I was either placed on hold for 20-30 minutes, or they promised to call back but never did.

Finally, at the end of my delivery window, Lisa called me to blame the carrier and told me that 'my job was never dispatched.' I asked for a refund, which they would not provide. Now they are trying to schedule a new pickup window.

Horrible customer service. They make excuses for their own failures. NO value add.

UPDATED: Lisa offered to refund me the fee I paid for the tight pickup window, to reschedule, and to call me back with the details. She never called me back. Got Rick on the phone who offered to reschedule the move but wanted me to sign more paperwork that did not include the refund I had been promised and did not include updates to the pickup which were caused by their initial miss (I had to consolidate locations). I refused to sign. He called, yelled, and then hung up on my partner.

I sent a note to info@mission noting that they had failed to provide service and requesting a refund. I'm just glad they showed their incompetence before they picked up my items

A few days later I got a call from them saying they had movers at my place (even though I was across the country at the time). Seriously, WTF?

This company is something in-between completely incompetent and outright scam. They have severely broken communication, no accountability (because they get paid upfront), and poor attitudes.

They also share a name with a reputable moving company and that confusion led me (and others) to use them. Scam.

Terrible company that underestimates your goods, hires third party moving companies that come late and hold your items hostage until you pay $500 more from what you were quoted.

Long-distance move from Hillsboro, OR to Albany, NY

Warning!

Awful...awful...awful...They are a bunch of liars. There was one week delay in pick up, I was told that I had to pay much more than the quote, and they told me they accept no responsibility after pick up. They were very rude and they rarely answer the phone. It has been almost 4 months and I still haven't received my stuff. They are scam. STAY AWAY.
