Long-distance move from Huntington, NY to Naples, FL

Huntington NY to Naples, Florida.

I'm always a little nervous using moving companies cause you never know what your going to get. I chose Medal Of Honor Moving Group and was not let down. The man I spoke to on the phone was extremely helpful and very precise with pricing pickup and drop off dates and times. I've used different moving companies before so was still worried because what they tell you on the phone and what happens is usually way off but Medal Of Honor Moving Group did everything they said they would. Going from NY to FL was worried about furniture getting damaged but they were extremely careful wrapping everything in protective blankets and handling everything. I'm so grateful to have found a great moving company finally considering this is my 5th time using a different company but I found a keeper this time!! Last but not least I chose them because they donate to our military members and veterans which I think is a bold and great thing to support our service members. Thanks again Medal Of Honor Moving Group.

Long-distance move from Tallahassee, FL to Draper, UT

Scam.

I signed up on a website and Medal of Honor Movers called me. They asked for a list of what I was moving. I provided. They gave me a quote of $3200. I said, “If you can do it for $3,000 I would say yes.” They said “Sure”. We set up my date to move. I gave them a 1/3 deposit.

I did not know they are a broker.

When the moving company came (a day late) they began looking and measuring and they gave me a A new quote of $4,700.

I called Medal of Honor movers. He laughed at me. He said, “Well I got you a truck there, your s$$t out of luck.” Our contract was to get you a truck. He laughed some more.

So I lost my deposit. I ended up renting a uhaul.

Do not trust these folks. Now I’m sure they will write a wonderful rebuttal to my review. It will make them sound saintly. Think of you across the country move and residing you could not trust these people and getting your own truck and college kids to load and unload.

Do not trust them.

Official company response

The crew arrived on time to assist the customer with this move. After comparing the items list versus his physical items the cubic footage added up to be more than what the customer was quoted. Unfortunately, we couldn't come to a happy medium and the customer decided to go another route. We have reached out to the customer to offer him a portion of his deposit back and he was not interested. We put efforts towards resolving any and every issue that is possible but within reason. The truck and crew drove several hundred miles to assist the customer and incurred expenses. That is the reason why we are unable to refund the deposit in it's entirety.

Do NOT use this company.

We contracted with Medal of Honor but they farmed it out to another co. named Konami, who were rude & inept, without informing us. They managed to damage or destroy almost all of our furniture, and completely lost a big screen TV - never saw it again, and even ended out-of-pocket for a $75 TV box that protected it. Vanished between Ariz. and Fla. No apology and M of H blew us off. Use a reputable carrier who won’t contract it out to unprofessional jerks.

We do not have anyone in our systems nor have we serviced anyone by the name of Marc Jerden. We believe this to be a fictitious review and respectfully request its removal asap as it greatly affects our reputation and business. Thank you.

Arizona to Michigan move from Hell!

Beware ,Beware,Beware ....of this company..They are not movers they are Brokers...up until a week before our scheduled moving date we assumed MOH was doing our moving but then I get a call a few days from moving date and talk to someone from9Star trucking in Texas saying they were my movers?we were promised by MOH that we would fill up a 26 ft.truck and no one else would have stuff on that truck....Wrong...when this company finally showed up 2 days late they already had half the truck loaded with someone else's stuff...MOH did not help out one bit..they said it was now between us and moving company..MOH not only has kept our $2500.00 so far and refuses to refund money to us...We fired moving company because they wanted to load half of our furniture on their truck and drive it to Texas and drop off load they showed up with on their truck and then reload our stuff and drive back to Arizona and pick up the rest of our stuff and drive to Michigan...How stupid is that?We terminated their service! Then I get a call from Jose in Texas still wanting to do business, then I get a call from a dispatcher begging to do business....What a way to do business....and they say we are not reasonable?..This was a third world trucking company with only 1 truck and 2 poor drivers...but MOH motto is We cater to Veterans...well I'm a Vet and was treated like crap....I DO NOT recommend this company and never will....They have people there who will lie like hell to get your money....Please BEWARE.....do your homework....

I am disheartened to hear that we were not able to service this job. We were consistently in contact, and have all of the the recordings indicating that there was an open line of communication. The customer was scheduled for pickup between 11/28-11/29 we reached out to the customer to provide him a pickup date for the morning of the 28th but were not able to accomplish due to the fact that the truck had mechanical issues. We were able to service the truck the following day and arrive at pickup within the agreed upon and signed two day window that was contracted . The carrier arrived and the customer refused services because they felt that their items would not fit in the truck. My General Manager confirmed with the carrier that the truck had ample space and I believed him knowing of his 15 years of experience on the road. We were not given the opportunity to prove that everything would fit on the truck and be properly secured. This route was strategically planned highly in advance to accommodate the customer from AZ-MI. Just as an example , if there were some items that did not fit we would have expedited another truck in the area, at which point we did have 3 available at that time in the area in order to accomplish this move whole heartedly. We have reached out on numerous occasions to the customer even in the aftermath to service this job but we were rejected. The customer must understand that the way professional movers load and pack a truck is night and day compared to how they would do it themselves. I have personally loaded a 5 bedroom home in a 26 ft. truck because of the skills I have developed over many years on the road. Some things are hard to believe if you don't actually see it, with that being said the customer disputed all finances involved with this move and I feel our dispute department will find a way to compromise and come to a happy medium with the customer.

Long-distance move from San Jose, CA to Meridian, ID

I am unable to recommend Medal of Honor.

They scheduled my move for Nov 20-21. They called and said a truck would be there on Nov 21 (Saturday). On Nov 21 they called and said the truck had a flat and would have a truck the next day. The next day they called and said no truck was coming until the next day (monday). On Monday a truck showed up early with 3 guys. They looked over every thing and gave there estimates and charged me $500 for packing material. They assured me everything would fit on the truck and if they went over the estimates I would not pay more. I then payed. Then they said they had to leave to finish a job and would be back later. Later I got a call that one of the guys had a family emergency and no truck was returning. No truck on Tuesday. No truck on Wednesday. A truck with 2 guys finally showed up on Thursday morning (Thanksgiving). They estimated 6hrs to load. It started fine but as time went on I realized one guy was doing most of the work and they other was taking a lot of breaks. Items were wrapped poorly or not wrapped at all. I do not think they used $500 for packing material. 6hrs turned into 12hrs at which time they said they filled the space estimated and would not load anything else even though there was space on the truck. They left, Queen bed, 2 shelves, electric keyboard, air conditioner, air filters, computer monitors, a couple of boxes, kids go cart, solar panels, laundry baskets, trash cans. Since I was already late with the move I had to pay to have the stuff left behind trashed.

Delivery was received 2 weeks later. There was so much not rapped that tables and chairs have scratches all over. They did not have the correct equipment to move the piano in doors so they left it in the garage and I had to pay someone to come move it in the house. When they were done emptying the truck there were a good 12 items missing. Including computer desk, chair, monitor, antique chest, 2 tables, christmas tree, several boxes, computer bags, all missing. When I called to report it they said they would tell the carrier. I called again they gave me the carrier information and said there is nothing they could do and I would have to follow up with the carrier. Even though I did not hire the carrier I hired them, they have been no help. Carrier has not been responsive and I can only make one claim and if I do not realize something is missing it can not be added later. They say they will try to find the items but I do not know if they really will or not. The insurance will not cover the cost of replacing and I can not replace the family heirlooms.

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $12000

Official company response

We apologize sincerely that the customer had to experience delays at pickup due to mechanical issues with our trucks. Some circumstances are beyond our control but we do empathize with the customer. After researching the original estimate signed by the customer, we discovered that it was based on 1,434 cubic feet. The carrier loaded the exact amount of cubic feet that was listed on the estimate and informed the customer that there would be an additional cost for any additional cubic footage. The customer opted not to take the additional cubic footage and left the remainder of their items behind. There was additional packing needed as stated in the above reference so the crew charged an additional $500 for that service. If there were any damages that occurred during the move feel free to give us a call at 844-677-4836 so we can guide you through the claims process.

Long-distance move from Orrville, OH to Missoula, MT

I was conned.

Low bid - loaded truck - doubled the price. From reading the other reviews this is their game. Medal of Honor has no honor and their medal should be for being disreputable. They are not the moving company, they are the broker. They had no conscience in misrepresenting the price, and blamed us for not representing how much we had. We were very clear. I had it pre-staged in the garage and new exactly how much space we needed. In the long run I spent more than if I went with a well known company. Their hook is the low bid. Don't fall for it!

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3500

Official company response

We do everything in our power to calculate the cubic footage for each and every customer. All customers are fully aware that the contract signed is based on an estimate at a locked in rate. That means based upon the cubic footage there is a possibility at pickup the cubic footage can increase or decrease but the rate per cubic foot is locked in. There is no deception what so ever. I do understand and empathize when the cubic footage is more and customers incur additional cost. But the customers must be reasonable and understanding to the point that we cannot ship additional cubic feet at no cost. The rate per cubic foot is already at a very competitive rate versus the standards rates that are currently on the market. Also, customers must understand that when there is additional cubic footage, there are also additional services rendered as far as labor, packing and wrapping along with taking up more space on the truck, which causes logistical issues with the routes. We are not satisfied that we have a dissatisfied customer but we will strive forward to improve our process so each and every customer would have a better understanding.

BE WARE VERY HORRIBLE

This is by far the worst moving company. They are very dishonest, did not show up on time (3 weeks-late), bait and switch said one price it was another (Much more). They contract these jobs out to random people. Damaged furniture, salesman lied on a ultimate level, you will have to talk to 10+ people. They are confused and you will be as well. Please just stay away from this. You have been warned. After a while they wont even answer and they have your money and treat you as if you are nothing. They will assure you that they have everything under control and make many promises.

THE CUSTOMER WAS BOOKED ORIGINALLY AT $ 1779 FOR 300 CUBIC FOOTAGE. THE INITIAL CREW ARRIVED ON THE SCHEDULED MOVE DATE, AT THE STORAGE IN HOUSTON, AND ASSESSED THAT THE CUSTOMER HAD 1200 CUBIC FEET OR MORE BASED ON THE VISUAL . THE BOOKING RATE WAS LOCKED IN AT$ 3.00 PER CUBIC FOOTAGE AND THE CUSTOMER WAS NOT WILLING TO PAY $2700 FOR OVERAGES. I WAS ABLE TO RESCHEUDULE CUSTOMER FOR AN ADDITIONAL $500 AND A SAVINGS OF $2200 PLUS. THE AVERAGE RATES MOVING 1200 CUBIC FOOTAGE FROM HOUSTON TO JACKSON MISSISSIPPI
RANGES FROM $4500 TO $6000. AGAIN, THE CUSTOMER ITEMS WERE COMING FROM A PUBLIC STORAGE FACILITY AND NEEDED MOVING SERVICES BEFORE FEB 1 OR WILL INCUR MONTHLY FEE. WE WERE UNSUCCESSFUL MEETING THAT DATE ,DUE TO THE WEATHER CONDITIONS DELAYING THE PLANNED ROUTES,SO WE PROVIDED A COURTESY GESTURE OF $386 TO CUSTOMER TO COVER STORAGE COST AND WAS ABLE TO GET THERE ON FEB 6. WHILE IN THE PROCESS THE CARRIER NOTICED SEVERAL ITEMS THAT NEEDED PACKING ETC.... THE CUSTOMER AGREED TO PAY AN EXTRA $300 FOR PACKING, WRAPPING ,CLEANING, AND SWEEPING OUT FACILITY. AFTER LOADING ALL ITEMS THE CUBES CAME OUT TO 1600 VERSUS THE 1200 ESTIMATED AND THE CUSTOMER WAS NOT CHARGED WHATSOEVER FOR 400 CUBIC FEET OF OVERAGES. OUR GOAL HERE AT MEDAL OF HONOR IS TO STRIVE FORWARD TO ACCOMODATE EACH AND EVERY CUSTOMER WITH REASONABLE RATES ALONG WITH INTEGRITY. WE ARE NOT SATISFIED WITH A DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER . BUT I FEEL AS THOUGH WE WENT BEYOND MEASURES TO COMPLETE THIS JOURNEY AND TO WORK WITHIN CUSTOMER'S BUDGET.

Long-distance move from Kansas to Texas

Moving Kansas to Texas

The company changes the contract depending on the economic appearance of the client. A contract had been made for a specific amount and stipulations and they changed everything. When I went to look for the contract that was emailed, it had already been deleted. They had been informed of the size of the move and they did not bring the right truck. We had to rent a truck and a trailer to complete the move. We incur more expenses for your incompetence. The impression they gave was that if they did not have the full money at the time of delivery; they'd keep the furniture. They didn't protect the furniture properly and had to force the furniture into the truck. They put the furniture uncovered properly and at the time of delivery they then covered them for them to look good, The furniture is white and they were delivered dirty areas, it seems that they climbed on top of them. In addition they broke the mirror dresser. Also at the time of the contract, they did not specify that they only wanted cash. The attitude of the person in charge and the workers was unreliable and true. Each time the amount that was needed increased. I DON'T RECOMMEND THEM. CHEAP GOES OUT EXPENSIVE.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $8000

Official company response

We took the liberty to investigate the above claim. First and foremost we are apologetic that the customer feels as though their experience was unsatisfactory. The original estimate quoted, agreed to and signed by the customer was for 1,100 cubic feet. We loaded 1,800 cubic feet at pickup and the customer agreed to move the remainder of their items. The driver's were punctual as far as pickup and delivery was expedited in a timely manner. Also, I have noticed the booking rate was at a low cost of $3.00 per cubic foot compared to the average of $4.50 per cubic foot. We sincerely apologize about the damaged mirror. That is why we took it upon ourselves to repair the mirror by bringing it to a repair shop in the customers local area and providing the paid receipt to the customer. We were able to assist the customer by loading an additional 700 cubic feet over what we had contracted and reserved for the customer.

Review for move from Vegas to St. Louis

This has been the worst experience of customer service I have ever experienced the sales people made promises that were not kept the actual movers they brokered came and started adding additional fees for things I was told was included. It had been 12 days and they still don’t have a route scheduled for my items to arrive. Customer service has been horrible the actual company Van lines has the rudest manager I have ever come across I am tempted to say forget our things and never pick up for them again! Just terrible I wouldn’t recommend or ever use them even if it were free!!! Save your money look elsewhere

Long-distance move from Oregon to Kentucky

Mis quoted price

We moved from Oregon to Kentucky. First, no one came to evaluate our items because of Covid-19. The price we were quoted was half of what it ended up costing (13,000 was quoted 7500). Movers showed up in a small truck and ended up making 2 trips. The date we were quoted to have our belongings delivered was actually 3 weeks later. Items were missing upon delivery plus numerous broken dishes and furniture. I have moved 4 times in my life and this was by far the worst experience. Only plus was not having to move the furniture yourself. Still scratching my head and wondering if it was worth it.

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $13000

Official company response

First and foremost Medal of Honor is not what so ever satisfied when we have an unsatisfied customer. The reason why we brought a 26 ft. truck is because the customer's original estimate was based upon 1,100 cubic feet. A 26 ft. truck has the capacity to hold up to 1,800 cubic feet. Based upon the above claim the carrier had to make an additional trip to service the move. The customer agreed to and signed the contract that detailed if the cubic footage exceeded the estimated quote an additional cost would apply. As far as missing items and damages are concerned , we will gladly walk you through the claims process if needed. Feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience. We can be reached at 844-677-4836. Thank you.

*****DO NOT REQUEST THIS COMPANY. They contract to other moving companies so your stuff gets moved around constantly to other movers.

They're VERY hard to get ahold of and the phone number on Google doesn't work.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $6500

Official company response

We investigated the matter at hand. Based on the inventory signed at pickup there were only 7 items missing when the items were delivered. Atlantis apologizes for the mishap and we do empathize with this situation. We recently found out that the items were located in the warehouse and are now in transit to the customer's destination. Also , we reached out to the carrier to start the claims process for any damages. Moving is very stressful , strenuous and we must understand that damages will occur from time to time. If so , the situation will be rectified to the fullest. If there are any questions , concerns or the needing of help to start the claims process feel free to contact us at 844-677-4836. Thank you.

Moving from New York to New Jersey... No Better Movers

I’m very satisfied with how fast my experience was with Medal Of Honor Moving. From the time I received my quote from Paul to my actual moving day. I needed to move ASAP from my 1 bedroom apartment in NY to NJ and these guys we’re the very first to get back to me. I took a risk with using the first service that got back to me but I cannot thank these guys enough. I would recommend Medal Of Honor A THOUSAND TIMES OVER AND OVER AGAIN!

I would never ever refer this company to anyone! They told me I would pay 1200.00.. I had no furniture for 2 weeks and they could not even give me a date when it would be delivered! When they finally arrive, they want over a thousand dollars more!.They give you no choice to pay because they have your furniture hostage! Items were damaged including a brand new table and it had dirt all over it! This company basically hires another company to deliver! This is such a scam ! I have been trying since December to put in a claime, talk about a circus, nobody gets back to you! My next step is a lawyer and BBB! I would not want this to happen to anyone, especially when your already stressing about moving! Do not ever ever deal with this company! No honor in this company!

Long-distance move from Wyoming to New York

Couldn't be happier!

I recently moved from Wyoming to New York, and I couldn't be happier with the service that Medal of Honor Moving Group provided. They were super careful throughout the entire moving process and did everything on time. I am very picky about my things, especially since some were fragile, and I was satisfied to see that everything was placed neatly and wrapper with care. I am very happy that I chose this company, and the movers had a great attitude despite my many concerns.

Long-distance move from South Windsor, CT to Vero Beach, FL

Be Prepared

Same scenario for me as others have posted - get a quote, takes even more money when you have more stuff (which by the way DOESN'T go to the moving company). So I got taken for $1300 for possibly 1-2 hours of phone calls on their end. Estimate was WAY under what the movers ended up forcing me to pay, because at that point what can you do? Estimate of $2500 went to over $5000. One bedroom condo WITHOUT bedroom furniture or a couch. Left emails to discuss with no response. You have to know EXACTLY, EXACTLY, how much space your items take or you will get totally blindsided.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $5000

Official company response

We took the time to investigate this matter to fullest . The customer's original estimate was based on 47 items . The carrier loaded 68 items at pick up and those additional items increased the cubic foot ,therefore increased the price of the original quote. We apologize that we could not move a 25 percent increase of cubes for free.

Long-distance move from Bossier City, LA to Williston, ND

Started out wonderful......

My husband contacted Medal Of Honor to handle our across country move from LA to ND. We received a quote for our 2 bedroom apartment as well as 600 cubic foot storage unit(not packed full). We received a quote of 869 cf which wasn’t enough to include the storage unit). We were given our move date of June 6th. events too place and husband had to leave for ND leaving the children and I alone in LA. After 2 weeks I called MOH and they moved our date up to 5/26 thankfully. Stacey was amazing with that and we appreciate all her hard work on that. After that the issues started. We were told that we would receive a phone call 5/23 to confirm our day/time. That phone call never came. I called5/24 with no answer. Left a couple messages no return of call. husband called multiple times with no answer. we made contact and we were told they would be there Wednesday to load. my husband received a call from the driver stating he was running late and wouldn’t be there. I then received a call Tuesday from a driver named Amir stating he was there. I showed him what was to be moved and he said he would be back in the morning. I received a call as we were leaving the storage facility and it was MOH. They informed me not to let him load our stuff that he was not our mover. So being plans changed once again I had to reschedule our move out time from the apartment. On 5/26 our mover showed up and went over the property to be moved. He was 2 hours late and informed me that our cost would be double the quoted price! As stated before, yes we would have needed a little more if the storage unit was taken. Once he started taking inventory he said it went off the number of items we had not CF. That was news to me. So I told him we had to get the apartment because we had no more time and had to vacate by 5pm. He worked up the contract and told me we had 1,304 cubic foot of items and it would be over $1000 more for our move with only the apartment! Being a woman alone with children having to leave I felt I had to no choice but to sign and get it going. Once the helpers finally arrived it was going incredibly slow (not the drivers fault). We were running up on 5pm and needless to say we didn’t make the deadline. Mind you, everything was packed and ready for them. I started helping as well so we could finish. I have made this move 4 times in the past 6 years and this is the first we hired out. we were told 10days for our belongings to reach us. Yeah no, the driver marked that out and said 21 days and that MOH likes to say 10 days but it’s really 21. Fast forward, everything is done and the kids and I reach ND. husband looks at the bill of lading to see why it was more when the storage unit wasn’t taken. He worked the cubic footage sheet with the inventory list and low and behold we were over charged! The cubic footage we had moved was approximately 852cf. So he began calling MOH to see what we could do. Same issue of messages left with no call back. He finally made contact and they had not received the bill of lading after requesting it 3xs. They couldn’t do anything until they had that. Kevin at Medal of Honor told him multiple times I will call you back with no follow through. 6/7after multiple calls my husband was told they were reviewing the bill of lading and would call back with the resolution because they wanted to fix this before delivery. no call back. We got a call from the driver at 10pm that evening saying he would be here between 12and 5. As soon as MOH opened today(6/8) we began calling. Left messages and nothing. Finally after hours of trying to get through I was told they hadn’t received the bill of lading. Y’all were reviewing it yesterday. I was told I would get an immediate call back. An hour later I called and left another message and finally received a call from Kevin. Kevin informed me that the driver said we had 1,304cf and the amount due was correct. Well his amount was correct on his paper. We were trying to tell them the cubic footage was inflated. I explained to him how we came to our conclusion and that 6 months ago we used a 26ft Penske truck to move ALL of our belongings storage included not stacked and roughly 5 ft to spare And we have gotten rid of a kitchen table&dressers. A 26ft Penske truck has 1,700 cf. I informed Kevin I felt that the driver took advantage of the fact I was a woman alone and inflated the numbers. And what we could do to rectify the situation. He more or less told me there was nothing they could or would do. And that cubic footage depends on the truck and not the actual cf. that I needed to trust the drivers numbers even though they do not add up. And that our dispute is between us and the driver. I told Kevin we wanted to give them the chance to rectify the situation before taking further action. If you are contemplating using a moving company I would strongly advise going with a different one especially if you are a woman. I will be filing a claim with BBB and with the contracted company

Official company response

We were in constant communication with Mr. Steen pertaining to this move. As referenced in the statement above from the customer , we indeed were able to accommodate the customer's preferred move date . The task was challenging due to distance, location in North Dakota but we made it happen. The customer was booked at a estimated 859 cubes based on items provided to Medal of honor. The customer was fully aware that cubic footage could fluctuate when the carrier arrives at the origin. When they arrived, they noticed at the first location had 1300 cubes alone. The customer proceeded by signing the revised contract for the actual cubes. In the aftermath , she believed that she was taken advantage of based on her gender. We assure you that MEDAL OF HONOR does not represent nor tolerate favoritism whatsoever. There must be a clear understanding that if the cubes increase , the price will increase and vice versa . It is not fair for the workers to load and unload more cubes without being compensated. To add to that note , a overage in cubes may derail a perfect route that was logistically planned highly in advance . So ,that being said , it is in our best interest that our main focus is transparency. I realize that this situation did not turn out as planned for the customer nor medal of honor. But I am optimistic that we will put forth more efforts in our goal to satisfy all customers.

Long-distance move from Madison, WI to Sapulpa, OK

Still do not have a delivery date scheduled

I was moving from WI. to OK after I retired. I contracted with Medal of Honor movers about 6 months before the move in order to get "the winter moving rates". I paid by credit card a deposit for a quote for a little more than their minimum cubic feet. I called a few times in the next six months to insure I was still on their schedule. I was assured all was well and they would give me a 5 day notice before the pickup. I had been given a moving window of May 20 to May 25. I was told that I would need to pay an additions $451.00 because the original quote did not have the 6 wardrobe boxes I had said I would need. This increased the size of my load by 50% and therefore the additional charge.

I got a call from a company I thought was MOH and was told they would be there on the 21st between 8 and 12n to pick up my belongings. I got a call on May 20 telling me that they would be coming the afternoon and not the morning of the 21st since a truck had broken down and they needed to change the schedule. This woman was very nice and I was glad to not have to scramble in the morning since I am not a morning person.

The crew came and I was told the move would cost me $1778 and I would need to pay cash or a postal money order. They packed up my stuff and the crew leader again came back with another bill stating it wasn't the cubic feet that he had estimated before they got it on the truck. I was also charged $100 for using and elevator and $100 for more than 100 feet carry from the door to the truck. I told the crew leader that I was at his mercy. Since I did not have enough cash because the amount was three times the original quote, he said he would take a personal check. Seems that even after I had been assured by Medal of Honor that they had their own trucks and did not broker out their moves, they had brokered this out to U. S. Best movers. I was never told that until the movers showed up.

It is a good thing I printed out my original contract with Medal of Honor movers since the reference link that I have in their emails comes back as no invoice on server. I have now been charged three times the original quote for my move.

After waiting a week and a half to hear from the movers to schedule a delivery date, I did not hear from anyone so I called Medal of Honor movers. I left messages finally was given the dispatch number which turned out to be U.S. Best movers. I was told by the dispatcher from U.S. Best to save her number and she would always return my calls and she has done so.

I write this review on June 9th. I have been trying to find out when my belongings will be delivered. I still do not have an answer. I started a dispute with the credit card company for the second deposit amount I had to pay. I called Medal of Honor customer service yesterday and they sent me an email that made it seem we were just starting the process and they had not picked up my belongings. I called this morning and was hung up on when I gave them my name. I called U.S. Best movers and left a message. I got a call back with the hour. I was told Medal of Honor was not the one that had my things and that there still was not delivery date to receive my items. I was told my items were sitting in Dallas and were not yet scheduled to be delivered and we were in the 5 to 10 day window from the 1st. Since the person with whom I was speaking could not tell me when the delivery will be scheduled, I asked that a supervisor who was actually in charge of scheduling my delivery call me since every time I talk to someone, it is still in the 5 to 10 business day delivery window.

I have back problems and will now order a mattress from Amazon to replace the one that I sent with the movers. Maybe someday I will get the rest of my belonging.

If you must contact a moving company do not us this one.

Official company response

After reading this review and investigating this matter, what came to my knowledge was that the customer signed at pickup, a NO DELIVERY CLAUSE before June 1. I believe the customer did not know by doing so , it could possibly delay her direct route to Oklahoma. We are in communication with our carrier and delivery will take place shortly.

Move from Oklahoma to Houston TX

Do not use this company. They are nothing but a middle man and the customer service is horrible. First of all, the sales specialists are liars and they will tell you whatever you want to hear to get a sale. I was quoted 2200 for all my stuff, we went over everything 3 different times but at the moment of pick up, I had to pay 1000 more even though I ended up subtracting 10 boxes, 2 nightstands, and 3 bar stools. They will purposely under-quote you. Second, at the moment of sale, I was told my stuff will be delivered within 2-3 days, at the time of pick up that changed to 7-10 days. It ended up taking 18 days for me to get my belongings. The company broke one of my dining chairs and lost one of my mattresses. My experience with this company was horrible and extremely stressful. Please stay away.

Official company response

We sincerely apologize for any delays that occurred pertaining to delivery. Due to the pandemic it has been very hard to meet normal expectations but we will continue to persevere during trying times. The carrier is aware of the missing item and will be expediting that item on the next trip to the Houston area. Also, we were assured by carrier , that the damage item will be taken care of.

Local move within Indiana

Don't believe anything.

I used there service in November for a move from California to Indiana for a 2 bedroom apartment. Quoted over the phone was $2560, when the movers showed up they adjusted the quote to over $5000.. I was stuck between in a rock and hard place and had to vacate that day. Total Screw Job. I am a veteran and was screwed by these people.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $5200

Official company response

We deeply apologize that the cost of your move increased. We try our hardest to provide you with an accurate estimate as possible based upon inventory provided. Hence why we provide each and every customer 2-3 days prior to their move a quality assurance call to update inventory list if needed before pickup. We provide you with an estimate based upon the cubic footage which means that there is a possibility if you have more items or less the rate would be adjusted accordingly as stated in our contract.

Top Level Service.

Amazing service. After my last experience using a full service moving company I was hesitant to get quotes again. But based on my research, looking at DOT’s and reviews the answer was pretty clear. They weren’t the cheapest price but I firmly believe you get what you pay for.
