You never know what you're going to get with these kinds of services, but with Los Angeles Transfer and Storage, I got exactly everything I could hope for. I had to move to New York suddenly after being transferred in my company. One of the worst parts about moving is always the packing and shipping your stuff. It's kind of a hassle. These guys were able to accommodate me in my last minute, unforeseen venture across the country. They helped me get everything on the road, so that I could focus on other things, such as the location change, my new job responsibilities, etc. It’s tough, but it was made a lot easier thanks to these guys. My favorite feature this company offered was that I could track my shipment. Using my phone, I was able to see where exactly the moving truck was, and that was a huge relief to me. Knowing that I wasn’t going to go a couple of days without my boxes, you know? They’re also very courteous and friendly here. They’re not your run of the mill moving service, that’s for sure! I will definitely use them again, if I ever have to move again. (Let’s hope not though!!) Haha!

I have to say, this was as good a moving experience as I've ever had. I've used several other companies in the past but none of them were as good as Los Angeles Transfer and Storage. They arrived on time and were courteous and professional. They handled all of my items with care and were careful not to damage them or the house as they loaded up. Upon delivery, they were on time and the experience was just as pleasant. Overall, I can think of a better investment to get peace of mind and reliable, professional service. I highly recommend Los Angeles Transfer and storage. These guys are top-notch!

We are very happy that we found LA Transfer on Yelp. We decided at the last minute not to rent and drive our own truck. What a nightmare that would have been. Because of all the good reviews we called LA Transfer. David was able to come over the next day to look over our storage unit and our apt. He gave us a "guaranteed price", which we felt was a reasonable amount. He was also able to give us a guaranteed express date of 4-9 days, because we were going from LA to Austin ( a frequently traveled route for them), which was great for us.
We did not do a full service pack, which meant they did the storage unit and a couple areas of the apt (make sure you understand what your responsibilities are in this situation). So David brought over a bunch of new boxes, tape, and paper for us, which was a huge help!! They gave us a truck pick up date, arrived as scheduled. David and his 3 guys Al, Patrick, & Jose, were terrific, all 4 worked very hard to pack everything up and make sense of the chaos. They took great care in wrapping our furniture (which all arrived in great shape!). It was a big job and they just kept at it til it was done, putting a number on everything and logging it on the inventory sheet. They even took our stuff that very night and transferred all of it to the big truck so it could go out right away. We hit the road the next day in our cars, 3 days later arrived, the next afternoon the big truck arrived exactly as they said it would. My only complaint is that there were only two guys in the truck to unload, so my husband ended up helping. We should have called David right away to get him to help resolve the situation, but we were a little too brain dead and rushed in the moment to think that thru clearly. So don't hesitate to call him. He was always responsive to our calls. He communicated well with us. The guys TX we're nice and worked hard. Our boxes were in good shape as was our furniture. I would highly recommend LA Transfer. Good luck!

Overall, great service from David and the company.
I called and David showed up the next day to do in home estimate which other companies wanted me to actually do the inventory for them.
We scheduled the pickup/drop off date, made the deposit.
David and 3 more guys showed up to do the packing and loaded everything into the truck in less than 6 hours.
I have to commend on the packing quality. They wrapped every single items in my kitchen and they arrived in perfect condition.
I changed my drop off date which David graciously accommodated with a small fee for the storage which is totally reasonable.
I would use LA Transfer and Storage again in the future.

Overall, I had a great experience with LA Transfer & Storage. I was doing a small move and was getting insane quotes from other companies but based on the great reviews here, I gave David a call. He was so responsive and helpful in preparing for my move. Michael was my mover and provided equally great service. There were some additional costs after the estimate but nothing unacceptable; purely based on the actual amount of goods I had and the distance the movers had to walk to bring my items into my apartment complex. Just be prepared for some additional costs as things change and the movers cannot anticipate everything in advance. Thanks to David and Michael for helping with my move!

This company is the best moving company I have ever used. I think there are 2 main points that the average person looking for a moving company, wants to find. 1) The movers do not waist time on your expense and make you pay for their lunch breaks ect. 2) They carry your furniture as if it was theirs. I could say with most certainty that this company has these two qualities. This is the 4th time I have used them and each time I had a better experience then the previous one.

If it was possible to give the 100 stars I would!!

My wife and I were extremely concerned before hiring Los Angeles Transfer and Storage. The more you read about moving companies in general the more you doubt that you'll ever see your furniture again - regardless who you hire because everybody seems to have at least one terrible review.

In the end, we decided to go with 'Transfer and Storage' because of a comparatively low price, comparatively few bad reviews and a convincing sales pitch by David.

We had a really good experience. We moved from LA to New York. They had to keep our stuff in storage for a month because we needed to find an apartment first. Once we found one, we contacted 'Transfer and Storage.' While there were some small communication issues (we got a confirmation that our email was received but weren't informed that our stuff had actually left the storage), our furniture was on the road fast and arrived in our new apartment in less than a week. This we found quite impressive. The movers who handled the pickup as well as the movers who did the delivery were considerate, friendly and professional. The only damaged good was one bicycle which had a loose tire  - which is fine.

For us, this has been a surprisingly unproblematic and stress-free experience. Everything was done as promised. We'd use Los Angeles Transfer and Storage again.

We hired los angeles transfer and storage after firing a different moving company. They had the lowest rate, and the soonest available pickup.
To be honest, the move ended up costing significantly more than I thought it would. But this is mainly because we went with a quote given to us by other moving companies when calling around. The quote was way off. To avoid this kind of shock, I would recommend getting an in home estimate, which they offer and David recommended. All in all, the price was honest and fair.

Our move was about 900 miles from CA to OR.
They arrived to pick up our things 2 days after my initial call. They gave us a window of up to 2 weeks for our things to arrive at our destination. I received a call from David later that day saying he could get our stuff onto the next available truck and have it at its destination in 2 days. Pretty amazing, especially considering everything we had gone through with our previous moving company.
Our stuff arrived in the late evening. And the movers hustled to get everything finished quickly. A few things came up missing and/or broken, but we filed a claim and David made things right.
Overall, we're happy with our move.

I would give 5 stars except that the original estimate I filled out online was not comprehensive enough to give an accurate estimate. I would suggest making your own list including boxes packed and send it to David - he will give you a much more accurate estimate for the cost of your move.
Al and Jose showed up on time and took great care in wrapping and protecting all of my furniture, mirrors, artwork, and anything not already in a box. They were very detailed with all inventory and careful packing the truck as efficient as possible. I would highly recommend their team and would use their service again. Even though the final calculation of my cubic feet was about 150 CF more than estimated David made an exception and honored the monthly storage rate he had quoted me originally on about 600 CF. The move was taking longer than I expected and I had an obligation on my last day of work so I entrusted both Al & Jose to finish up the final truck loading without me watching every piece and the doors close. I'm sure everything will be delivered in tact - they are a very trustworthy and professional company.
