David was heaven sent to me for my move from Los Angeles to NYC. First off he responded to my inquiry within the hour that I sent it. David is very professional and actually listens to what you are saying and responds accordingly. The movers came and picked up all my things from my apartment and they were amazing. They took such good care of everything that I had no worries about transporting everything to the east coast. Unfortunately my father passed away during my move and I wouldn't be able to be at my new address in NYC when my things arrived. I explained to David what had happened and he was a wonderful human being who came up with a solution that worked for both of us and I was able to grieve and not have to worry about what was going on with my belongings. When the moving day arrived the NYC movers were great they were able to get all my things in without any issues. I can't say enough about David and the Los Angeles Transfer and Storage. GO AND BOOK THEM NOW!

I had received a job offer in Maui and had to plan a move in a very short time span from Los Angeles. Not only was it a short time span it was during the Christmas and New Years holiday season.

David was very professional and came to view my apartment and furniture on Christmas Eve. It was absolutely amazing and 6 days later him and his team arrived on New Years Eve to pick up everything. They wrapped everything and made moving look easy. I highly recommend them as David has been nothing short of amazing.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3995

Four bedroom home with basement and garage - moved 124 miles. Picked up one day; delivered the next day. I had quotes from four movers. L.A. Transfer was the next to the most expensive. I chose them because David convinced me that they would be the careful with all my posessions. They fulfilled their contract and were on time and efficient, but I was disappointed that so much of my furniture was scratched and chipped. I was very pleased with the care taken with my special items including a player piano, antique desk, china cabinet, weaving loom and oak secretary. I paid for special packing of these items and each arrived in excellent condition. However, I was disappointed in the way the other items were handled. Many pieces of my furniture sustained scratches, dents, or chips. It was stacked in the truck with no padding although there were piles of moving blankets that went unused. The adhesive tape they used on some furniture pulled off the finish. Although David sent two trucks for the move, everything was crammed into one truck with boxes and furniture stacked to the ceiling, bottom items crushed, and boxes of fragile items jammed up-side-down between table legs. Many items were precariously balanced at the top of the load, not padded and not secured. My drawing board was badly chipped and the legs of my computer desk were broken off. Although I had been assured that the new, locking-lid plastic totes would be fine to use in the move, several of them were broken because heavy boxes of books and large pieces of furniture were stacked on top of them.  Every member of the crew was pleasant and hard working. They showed up on time and were polite at all times. Unfortunately, three of the six did not seem to understand English, so the notes David asked me to attach to items that needed special handling were not read. This resulted in several valuable items sustaining damage because of improper handling. While unloading, the crew took extra care not to scratch the floors nor bump the paint in the new house.         .

Over a year ago, we hired LA Transfer and Storage to move us from LA to Rochester, NY. I read all the reviews online and was impressed by their overwhelmingly positive reviews. I feel that we should share our experience to help warn others not to use LA Transfer and Storage. We worked with David and at first all seemed great but it ended up being a disaster. Our shipment arrived 31 business days LATE! The worst part of it all was not having to live without our belongings and furniture for months but the TERRIBLE customer service. I was lied to, ignored, and insulted when I called to find out where our stuff was and when it should arrive. Over the past year, I have tried to make a claim, reported them to the Better Business Bureau all to no avail. They offered us $234.00 for all of our damaged items and no money at all for the late days that were stipulated in the contract. They have ignored my last emails. I hope that others read this and don't use them for any of your moving needs!

This was my first time moving, so of course I was quite nervous. I've heard countless horror stories about moving and was scared I'd be the next victim of damaged and/or stolen items. My moving story ended up being quite the opposite, however. The staff at Los Angeles Transfer and Storage was so friendly and helpful. They arrived on time for both picking up and delivering my items. I'm so happy I decided to use them to move my items across the country. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy company with great employees!
