Amazing Movers 5/5

This is my first time using movers for my one bedroom and it was incredibly fast. I didn’t have to do anything they loaded the truck up within 70min I wasn’t even done packing I had a lot of loose items and that didn’t slow them down for a second. Keep in mind It was a giant upstairs master bed room with a bathroom and I had a lot of additional (heavy) furniture in the basement and they loaded it up and wrapped everything very fast. I had a timer going on and was impressed by how it only took 70min they are truly masters of their craft. We ended up going to a storage unit before my house and they unloaded what was labeled for the storage units quickly. And when we got to the house it took them no time to get everything loaded in my room. We hit a small snag however (no fault of there own) as it was impossible to get my box spring up these stairs since they were too narrow and box springs don’t bend like mattresses they were able to tie and pull it up the balcony. It was truly a stress free experience don’t hesitate to order their service.

Fantastic service!!!

The entire crew from first call to the final billing was great ? Excellent customer service and especially communication text, phone or email. This is my second time using JK Moving and was wondering if I just got lucky the first time but was pleasantly surprised with top notch service just like the first time.

Delivery of household goods in VA

Although the process started later than I would have liked, the delivery team was outstanding, to include making a special effort to modify furniture so it would pass through the front door and reassembled beds and desks so they looked the same as they did before the move. The three movers were efficient and moved the items by hand that protected the floors and staircase. The driver drove since 3 am to start the delivery at 10am. He found a way to modify a large bookcase so it would fit through the front doorway. I am very pleased with the service.

4th Move with JK Moving

As always the team did a great job. The initial estimate was low mainly because the estimator did their work based on photos and not a site visit. Only sent 2 packers but the team they sent did a great job and worked a long day. Moving team was professional and worked hard. No items were damaged. Would use them again if we ever move again in the DC area.

We recently moved from Santa Fe NM to Indio CA and used JK Moving/ Budd Van Lines. Richard Montoya, our driver, could not have been more professional in every aspect of the move; he arrived early with an excellent team of packers, completed the job on time and delivered our items right on schedule. The unpacking team was outstanding and we had no damage to our possessions.

Can't say enough good things about the entire operation from the move coordinators right through the entire team.

Move from FL to NC

The driver, Al, was very close to perfect in all areas, and eased the strain, giving me confidence. He was amazingly prompt and prepared for challenging loading conditions. His experience is obvious, as everything was handled efficiently and courteously on both ends.

The packers and unpackers were also cooperative, courteous, patient and quietly efficient.

The only complaint I have is that the packers in FL crammed my bed linens in the box so that my duvet was crushed. Two packers could have given it a quick couple if folds to achieve less wrinkling. And my hanging clothes were jammed together too tightly, making unpacking difficult.

But those two problems were minor compared to the overall excellence.

Outstanding crew, Michael Bennett not so much

Moving crew were very understanding for of the special item they were transporting AFTER arrival to pick up. Although Michael Bennett was provided DETAILED information about the historical item to be transported, he failed to communicate the info to his staff. The move coordinator was resolved the communication error and service was provided with no complaints. Michael Bennett - you owe your staff an apology for the position you put them in by not communicating. Communication is the most important management skill and the backbone of business.

JK Company was friendly and very efficient. Their administrative staff was top notch dealing with several changes caused by both our new home builder and also the seller of our home. The packers were quick, polite and professional. The movers were very strong and powerful people who were yet very gentle in the handling of our possessions..

We have moved before, and this experience was the very best.

Moving living room furniture from Falls Church, VA to Leesburg, VA

Today had a pleasant experience with two professional movers from JK Movers.

I live in a high rise condominium and for the first time, witnessed where the movers protected my front door and frame with covers to prevent damage to the door and to the furniture being moved out.

They wrapped all the furniture with blankets and then sealed with plastic wrap.

I knew there was going to be a challenge moving the heavy leather couch out the front door because the backside of the couch is curved vs a straight line. The two movers were able to figure it out and accomplished the task.

My hats off to the two professional movers and JK Movers. It was a pleasure doing business. Thank you!?

Review:

I wish I could give JK Moving a zero-star rating because they don't even deserve one star. My recent experience with this company was an absolute nightmare from start to finish.

First off, their customer service is abysmal. Nothing but lip service that did not address the issues and worst of all made everything our fault. Trying to get a resolution was like trying to communicate with a brick wall. It's like they go out of their way to avoid helping their customers. I have even gone to the President of JK Moving Mr. David Cox to just be handed back to the people that just give you that lovely lip service.

When the moving day finally arrived, they were careless with my belongings, tossing boxes around like they were nothing more than garbage. I watched in horror as they had a seventy-plus-year-old carrying furniture by himself from a third-story room just imagining how that worked out.

But the worst part? The “estimate” was off by thousands of dollars. I did a tremendous amount of packing before their arrival to save some money as they were charging me for 2 days to pack based on the estimate and it only took one day, you guessed it no discount here, so it felt like they were just trying to squeeze every last penny out of me.

The delivery, OMG suddenly I was required to inventory everything, direct where items needed to go, and direct on setup. This was impossible and the driver Alan was MIA. Of course, when complaining about this it was our fault.

Save yourself the headache and avoid JK Moving at all costs.

There are plenty of other moving companies out there that actually care about their customers and know how to do their jobs properly. Trust me, you'll thank yourself later.

Working with this company was very easy start to finish. The packers and movers were prompt, professional and the cost was very economical!

Do not use this company

They damage your furniture and leave holes in your wall!! They will not compensate me for the damages the movers did!!!

Never use again!!
