Long-distance move from Roseville, CA to Waco, TX

Disrespected our belongings

Our boxes were destroyed, footprints on my boxes, “fragile” stacked on bottom upon arrival. This company’s lack of respect for my belongings blew my mind. I have tried to find them on yelp to post the photos but have had zero luck. Never would I recommend this company!

These guys are awful please don’t use them

Worst moving company ever. Came 10 days late and wouldn’t give me more than a 24 hour notice of when they were coming when I repeatedly asked them to give me Atleast 3 days notice because I needed to reserve a loading dock. They repeatedly told me that was no problem until they called 24 hours before they were there. I then had to get a storage unit and put my stuff there because I was unable to get a loading dock spot just 24 hours in advance after I was told it was not a problem. They also broke a drawer and broke my bar cart. They dented my couch and we’re super rude on the phone. Nobody had any idea what was going on. Literally the worst people ever

They break everything.

These movers overcharge under duress, damaged over $6,000 worth of furniture, do not know how to pack furniture, and attempted to hide damage with tape. Literally, they tried to hide damage with tape. Unbelievable.

Long-distance move from Roy, WA to Texarkana, TX

PROPERTY TREATED WITH DISRESPECT AND NEGLIGENCE

HERE IS A LETTER I WROTE JACKSON MOVERS,

On June 14, 2022, your company, JACKSON MOVERS, moved our possessions from our 3 bedroom, 2 bath, home residing at 1424 340th. St. E., Roy, WA. 98580. This move was very expensive charging us $20,001.70 to move us to 16 Amy Dr. in Texarkana, TX/ 75503.

Once our furniture and property was delivered on July 11, 2022, nearly a month later, and as I started unpacking I found multiple damages to our living room and dining room furniture, our deep freezer, my Honda Scooter, UTV/GoKart, multiple boxes of broken dishes and I have nearly 45 boxes to go.

I want to know the procedure to filing an insurance claim against your company for damages that occurred to our property. One would think for $20,000 my property would be handled with respect and professional manner.

1. My freezer is not a year old, huge dent in front door, handle broken and the seal broken on the freezer causing air to enter the appliance. It is critically damaged.

2. My Red Honda scooter, very low miles has a busted fender and a huge scratch and dent on the step-side.

3. My GoKart[ 200cc] is brand new. The roll bars have dents and scratches, it has a broken light and missing foot pedal seals.

4. My dining table has gouges on the sides of table and legs are scratched and gouged, the chairs are scratched, one seat cushion has a cut in it.

5. My living room furniture, the coffee table and end tables are broken, the huge decorative edgings on the tables are broken off, they cannot be repaired, the legs and table tops scratched and damaged.

6. My electric recliner has a broken wire in it, making the lumbar damaged.

7. We have a tall standing ourdoor heater, the hood was crushed, destroyed.

8. 3 lg. boxes of dishes destroyed as though someone dropped the boxes. These boxes were packed in bubble wrap glass bowls, dinner ware, glasses, etc. My black dining Dinner ware Plates still bubble wrapped yet shattered. I recovered only 15 peices of dinner ware out of a service of 12 each for plates, sauces, cups and bowls being 48 pieces of dinner ware, My entire dinner ware set is distroyed, broken. The boxes were crushed on the sides. Each box was labeled in bold letters: DO NOT DROP, FRAGILE, GLASS. Also, 7 glass mixing bowls broken, from very large to small.

9. A huge mirror was broken.

10. One flat screen TV will not work.

I have pictures of all damaged property.

When the delivery trucks were here on June 11th. I also had missing property. My Honda scooter, 200cc GoKart and John Deer riding mower were not on the 2 trucks that day. The driver made a phone call to his boss, these items were still in the warehouse, they forgot them , REALLY?????? I have other thoughts of why they were not on the truck but I cannot prove it. The only thing I can do about that is never use or reccommend your company as movers again. It took another day to get the rest of my property.

And as I said, I still have 45 more boxes to unpack. So there are possibly more damaged property.

I would expect a broken dish and a couple items not making the trip in one piece but this is too much damage and for $20,000 I expected my possessions to be handled better than this.

I need to know what form or procedure I need to file for all of these damages. I expect to hear from you asap. As for your customers service, they have a lot to work on. I have been lied to, many times by your CS person when I contacted you on expected delivery of my furniture. I am very angry at this time and I hope you make good these damages. I cannot believe how

incompetent and disrespectful the handlers were of our possessions. I expected more from your company. I placed my personal property in your hands to be handled with respect and care, but this was total negligence and disrespect of my property. From the looks of these broken dishes in crushed boxes you tell they were slammed to the floor. The glass dishes were shattered.

As to my understanding, I have 30 days to file an insurance claim for damages on your company. Today is Aug 2nd. I still have till Aug 11th. I am within your timeline of reporting damages. I need what ever documents needed to file this claim.

Weeks delayed and more than thousands in damage

Avoid this moving company like the plague. They took weeks longer to deliver than estimated, charged $4,000 more than their "binding estimate," and when they did finally deliver my belongings there was tens of thousands of dollars in damage. Nearly every piece of furniture is broken, beds, bookcases, mattresses, nightstands, lamps, expensive music equipment, paintings, the list goes on. They did an incomprehensively awful job.

Long-distance move from Terrell, TX to Colorado Springs, CO

Moving us and losing and damaging our things and overcharging us.

This company, Jackson Movers, was out of Dallas, Tx. They overcharged us and lost a lot of our stuff and damaged a lot of our stuff. They lost one $750.00 cable under my bed and damaged the other one so it doesn’t function at all. They ruined an end table and there are about 4 boxes of toiletries, pans, spices, and perfumes that I never got back. I’ve written up 2 claims and they want me to take pictures of the boxes of the items that they have lost. They have copies of the contract I wrote out in them but insist I upload the contract and the pictures of boxes that I don’t have because they lost them. When I call them I always get a rude guy on the phone named John Miller. He always in a very smart allec way says Good Luck to me like I’m never getting any money from them and they are not taking me seriously. We had almost everything on the truck down in Texas and right short of getting everything done one of the guys said if I was going to be able to continue finishing getting my belongings loaded I’d have to go to the bank and get $2300.00 cash. I had already paid $2300.00 so it doubled my price to $4600.00. It then was to the point that I felt I had been scammed. Then when it came to the time for them to be loading everything in my new apartment in Colorado Springs they had told me they had switched all my belongings to another truck and my bed cable I paid $750.00 was lost and the other one wasn’t working. Then they had totally broken one of my end tables and lost at least 4 if my boxes with lots of important stuff in it including 2 bottles of Letise which is a prescription medication which costs $130.00 and I had 2 which amounted up to $260.00. I requested $1000.00 which is only quarter of what I should have gotten. They practically laugh in my face when I try to call them and speak to them about the loss. I can’t do any more than what I’ve done now except report them to as many authorized companies I can to try to get my money back for the damages I’ve incurred. Thank you for listening to my complaint. Sincerely, Amy Bradshaw

Predatory Practices

Jackson movers was a sub-contract mover to another horrible company (Eagle Movers) that was predatory. They showed up with only 3 people to pack a 4 bedroom house and a truck 3x too small. Before they touched a piece of furniture they said that the inventory that the contractor previously did was wrong and would have to be redone. This doubled the cost of the move. The foreman even stated that they could not take the whole bed only the mattress because on the inventory it listed BED but did not list head board or footboard. I paid the extra fee by check and was told that if I could not pay by wire transfer that it would take at least 21 days to receive my goods. They changed that once they realized that it would take an 18 wheeler to move me and that would tie up a "money maker" for too long (manager's actual words). Once they arrived at the delivery location, they tried to charge me extra for having to walk more than 75 feet even though I have an 80 foot driveway. The foreman/driver called about six local day workers to unpack the truck but stated they would not be able to load boxes in the assigned room because boxes were not marked. Even the boxes that were marked were marked in Spanish (none of the delivery personnel spoke Spanish. After paying more than 33K after being estimated 18K, Jackson movers foreman and customer service stopped accepting our calls once we attempted to file a damage claim and a claim for missing items. The driver, who claimed to work directly for the company left his phone number as the point of contact for damage. He never answered a call, text or email, even when being called 2 minutes after he pulled off in the truck. They packed glass items in boxes without being wrapped with paper, bubble wrap or anything. They broke a TV stand, a mirror, and several glass shelves. They damaged the china cabinet, formal diner table, and two chairs. Now on to items that were packed but somehow never arrived with my shipment. We were missing about 10 pair of high end sneakers (I believe they though I would not notice as I am an avid collector), several of my wife's purses, my NCO sword from the USMC, a ceremonial Iraqi sabre I received during one of my many deployments, and a set of Japanese swords that I actually purchased in Okinawa. They broke no less than 27 items from the kitchen including glasses, plates, and cooking items. Once they received final payment, Jackson Mover or their contractor Eagle movers have discontinued or failed to return any attempts to contact or converse about broken or missing items. We contacted our insurance company in hope they could reach out to Jackson movers and they had minimal success. DO NOT allow this company in your home. I can accept some damage but CAN NOT accept items actually being missing after bein observed to have been packed or loaded onto the truck,

Horrible Nasty People Who Don’t Do Their Jobs

Horrible experience! They are holding our items hostage! We are reporting them to the police. We have the driver’s truck identifiers and will send police after them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They also LOST my items and didn’t even know what truck my items were on. We still do not have our things and they have been stored since Oct.29th. We filed police reports and are legally prepared to make sure this company never hurts people they way they have us so far. They also are refusing to deliver claiming their truck won’t fit in our area when our guard of our housing complex gave them the go ahead. I’m which they are now asking us to provide 2500 dollars even though this refusal of delivery is not our fault or the fault of our gated community. We are also not in apartments. So because they claim they cannot deliver they are making us pay more. We refused and will offload now in our own trucks. Again this whole experience has been HORRIFIC. Their BBB and FMCSA ratings are equally as terrible as our experience so far. Including: 9 hostage complaints, 11 deceiving client complaints, estimate, pickup and delivery complaints. All just within 1 years time. To add we didn’t even hire them our broker did. We are furious with their decision to hire such a terrible company.

You would be better off doing it yourself unless you have extra flexibility with your schedule and additional eyes ears and hands to assist you.

When I signed up, I was lead to believe this was a full service move. But in the event the broker (USA movers) bid it, it was not.

Jackson Movers was not client focused at all when coming to pack me up, nor with confirming drop off. Pick up was for a day late… which was the last day of my lease which was to be for a clean up day. They also showed up nearly an hour past their latest time for window of time expected. So this was a major conflict in packing the rest of my belongings, and the cleaning crew preparing to clean for the expectation of the next occupant.

So here’s the thing… they apologized for the inconvenience. But it was really their lack of communication that created a potential legal issue for me; not just an inconvenience.

Thank god I had already begun to pack up and had most of the boxes and packing material, because I really needed to have twice as what was estimated. My review for USA movers will be done separate.

The guys that came to pack my belongings were decent enough.. even though the supervisor was the only one that spoke English. I don’t have a problem with Spanish speaking, but when your client speaks English, that can be a problem. Especially when the supervisor is busy and a packer is putting tape directly on nicer wood furniture and can’t seem to understand the client.

The next issue is billing.

After speaking with USAA because they want a zelle or wire transfer of funds or cash for final delivery. I had not used zelle for quite awhile; this is intended for personal purchases, and. Or necessarily for business use. So the way they operate is not necessarily the easiest. Oh… and you will not mistake their customer service for having exceptional people skills as there is a level of rudeness I’ve rarely experienced till this whole experience. They do not announce the name of the company and the department you’ve dialed and it takes extra checking to make sure your money is going to the right place.

Then we come to the point of delivery.

I get a notification my belongings will be on their way as soon as a truck is on its way. Then I get a text to say they’ll be delivered between the 25th and the 27th. I let them know the storage unit is closed on Sunday they tell me that I should be prepared for the worst and just have my money for the final payment ready.. the truck is on its way and can’t be stopped!

I’d be very wary of these guys.

I still have yet to receive my belongings. Their customer service is what I would thing how a Neanderthal would conduct his business. If you’re on a deadline or have no other support, I wouldn’t recommend them either! Even with assistance it was not remotely stress free as they were as inconsiderate as possible.

I just wouldn’t trust them again.

Lost and stolen items

This company loaded the truck well. They then took the items to Dallas, tx and stored them. Where someone proceeded to go through our stuff and stole some of it. When calling the company they just said sorry and we will check the videos. Well we haven’t heard a word from them. We also had a cast iron bench broke and about 24 boxes never made it to the destination. Would I use them again NEVER.

Horrible service! Don't even consider using this company!

We originally signed with Pan Transit Van Lines who show 5 star ratings, but then they pass you off to a moving company with horrible ratings and service, Jackson Movers LLC. Don't use this company! The underquoted us by $7,000 and told us our furniture would be delivered in 1-10 days. Once they had our furniture in hand, they now state they can take up to 21 days to deliver. I've called every day for an update, and they never give me a straight answer. They are a less than reputable moving company.

PLEASE DO NOT USE JACKSON

Let me plead with the reader - DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. When I signed up with Jackson movers via USA moving solutions - I was not informed of the 5-14 day window from first available delivery date (FADD). It MAY have been in the fine print, but certainly was not advertised. I was LED to believe that my things would be delivered soon after or ON my FADD. That was April 17th.

On April 25th, I was told the delivery would be between the27th - 29th. That did NOT happen. We were called on 4/29 saying delivery would definitely be 4/30. That did NOT happen. We were informed they would not be there just before the end of the "delivery" window. This is NOT acceptable. What if I simply wasn't available on the date of delivery? Wouldn't one expect a business to keep their word to their paying clients? I organized a futile work party, I had money ready - I have help up my end of this agreement. Jackson has NOT.

My things arrived 5/1. I had to ask family to take off work to be there for the delivery (which was not originally necessary), as I JUST started a new job and cannot take off during training, for risk of being let go. There has been incorrect information given CONSTANTLY. Watch out for your original quote to increase by around 50% too.

Today, I went to the house during unloading to view progress. I discovered that nearly every one of my belongings I laid eyes on during the initial scan was damaged. ALL THE BOXES WERE DESTROYED. I have an expensive lamp that was snapped in multiple places (yes, made of metal). My piano was taken apart WITHOUT my permission - and the parts are "missing." My dining table was totally disassembled without my permission.... when it left my place in TX, it was in ONE PIECE. It arrived disassembled. And of course, they're not going to put it back together, even if all the parts are there, which they're likely not. Everything I looked at was damaged. I will have to go through everything smashed box by smashed box tonight. I will receive just compensation for this disaster from this FRAUD of a moving company.

Awful!

Do NOT choose this company. They will try to make your life miserable. Where to even start? They gave one price, then at the last minute before I needed to move, they doubled it. The price for the move would have been the same price if I gave all of my belongings away and started brand new, it was that expensive. However, they wait until you absolutely need to be out of the house and feel like you don't have a choice.

The movers came into my home and spoke in Spanish about derogatory things about gringos and gringas.

They gave me an estimated delivery day and then said that there was in reality, no firm date. Then they didn't communicate effectively and left me guessing for a while about when to expect my belongings.

Even though I put the name of my new city in the contract in several places, the driver was on his way to some town several hours away from my home.

When they got to my home, I told the driver just to park in front of my house and not try to get into the driveway, as it is an unfavorable angle. He kept trying to get in the driveway anyway, even though my neighbor and I kept yelling for him to stop. He did damage to the sprinkler system and also the curb. Purposefully. Then they dragged my belongings around and handled them carelessly. Many items were broken or otherwise damaged, and some were missing. When the moving helper would set something down and see it was broken from them mishandling it, he just shrugged and said, "File a claim".

The claims process is a joke. They pay you by weight. Sixty cents per pound of items that were damaged. I had to spend money to get the curb fixed and they only agreed to pay for that. Their offer did not include any damage that they did to my personal property.

So if you want to be insulted, treated poorly, lied to, financially taken advantage of, then by all means, feel free to use this company. Honestly, for what they charge and what they break, you really are better off selling or giving away everything and buying brand new when you move.

Lost whole boxes

If you tag every box with a sku - you should be able to track it. I only had around 20 items. No furniture. They "lost" 3 whole boxes. Can't find them either. I don't have much: now I have even less. So awful. And there is absolutely no accountability. Just terrible. Don't start new with this totally unreliable company as your movers. They can't keep track of boxes even though thats really all they need to do. Why even bother tagging boxes?

Worst experience ever!

I'm drafting a scathing review for Jackson Movers. My experience with them was a disaster. Initially, I contacted One Source Van Lines, but Jackson Movers, a third party, showed up unexpectedly. Had I known they were not directly affiliated, I wouldn't have proceeded. To my dismay, I discovered that Jackson Movers isn't even BBB approved. Not only did they overcharge me at pickup, but they also caused extensive damage to my belongings. They completely shattered my flat-screen TV, broke my oak dresser, lamp, air fryer, and more. My advice: always purchase additional insurance! However, even with insurance, Jackson Movers is refusing to reimburse me at .60 per pound for the damage. If you're considering filing a complaint, be aware that they handle claims through a third party, Moving Claims, which has been equally terrible. I deeply regret choosing Jackson Movers and would've preferred renting a U-Haul for peace of mind and cost savings.

Move

This company is dishonest. They provide low ball quotes and then at the last minute raise it, in my case by a factor of 3 ($9000 to $28,000). I had to vacate my property and had no choice but pay the difference. They then were late delivering and I had several damaged and missing items. I am in the claims process now but it is very complicated, apparently intentionally. Don’t use them!
