Careful

The movers were courteous, efficient, and arrived exactly on time. They were incredibly careful with my furniture, especially my fragile items, and made sure everything was properly wrapped. The move went smoothly, and they worked well as a team, making the process feel effortless. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Jackson Movers!

Hard working movers

Jackson movers took all the hard work out of our out-of-state move. They were on time and clear about billing and all the nuances that went with our added cargo.

We appreciated them going over the invoice carefully before and after our move.. They handled our items with care. They were quick and efficient in a one day one shot delivery. We are grateful to Jackson movers

Local move from San Antonio, TX to Edna, TX

Excellent packing and extremely quick and cautios.

From the beginning to the end the Broker and the moving company were extremely informative and stayed in constant contact throughout the process. The guys were well mannered and friendly. They made sure we were satisfied with what they were doing by asking exactly where each piece went and how we wanted it placed. I recommend Jackson Movers to everyone in need of a moving company.

Long-distance move from Dallas, TX to Bend, OR

Classic Bait and Switch

We were directed to Jackson Movers by MoveSafe Relocation Services in Florida for a move from Dallas to Bend, Oregon. The original price quoted by MoveSafe was just under $4,200. The move ended up costing just under $14,000. That was lie number one. The pick up of our goods went fairly smoothly. We were told that our furniture, which was picked up on April 11th, would be delivered by April 16th. It was delivered two weeks later on April 29th. That was lie number two.

Getting information from them as to the whereabouts of all of our worldly possessions during that time was akin to finding out who would be the next Pope. We were also told that since we paid additional funds to "buy" the entire truck, that the truck was ours and that would not be shared with any other items. That proved to be the third lie. Our goods were taken to a warehouse in Dallas, loaded onto another truck with seven additional deliveries, the first of which was in Chicago, which from a geographic standpoint is northeast of Dallas some 900 miles, so there was no way our furniture would show up by the 16th.

When the furniture did show up, it was delivered by two gentlemen who seemed to be rather upset that we were in a two story house, although that was clear from the paperwork. It turned out that they were from another moving company which indicated that Jackson brokered the move to a third party which was not disclosed to us. That was lie number four.

During the unloading the movers received another call that they had to make another pickup that same day and the unloading of our goods became a rather haphazard affair with them placing boxes that we had clearly marked by room wherever they found space. We also ended up having to assemble the beds. We attempted to keep an inventory of boxes as per the list that was generated when the goods were picked up, but the way the movers were working towards the end that made it impossible. We lost 10 boxes in the move and my road bike was damaged.

During the whole process I would say that the degree of empathy exhibited by the staff at Jackson Movers was somewhere around zero. We had to buy furniture and cookware just to make our new home somewhat inhabitable.

I would also point out the disparity of the reviews on this site. They seem to be either five star or one star, which says to me that there is something not quite right here. My recommendation is a no for Jackson Movers.

Chose another company

CHOOSE ANOTHER COMPANY. I booked moving services in May for a Move on July 28 for about $3900. I ensured they knew I had several mirrored, bulky/heavy items. On day of pickup they contracted with Jackson Movers to pack and load my items. Jackson Movers dissolved the business in TX and filed documentation, a day or so after collecting my items. Before they would move my items, they tried to increase the price to an additional $4000, for the mirrored items and heavy/bulky items (headboard, massage chair and washer/dryer). We ultimately settled on a total of $6100 for them to move my items, basically under duress. Both companies were working together. When it came time to deliver items 30 days later they refused to do so without demanding another $1000 for shuttle fee, which I asked Nationwide if this was included and I was told it was. I refused to pay the additional $1000 so they kept my belongings another 30 days before trying to deliver my items and threatened to charge me storage and labor fees. I received my pens in November. Nationwide refused to do anything, claiming they are only the broker and the contract was with Jackson Movers. The only reason I knew about Jackson Movers is because of Nationwide. I went with Nationwide as at the time of booking they had good reviews and I thought a good reputation. But they don’t please use another company. I will be filing complaints on both companies. Jackson Movers are calling from a number registered to US Movers and another company… so I wouldn’t choose either of those companies. If your broker send either of these companies cancel them and take your losses as if you go through with these companies your losses will be much more.

Long-distance move from San Francisco, CA to Prince George, VA

Terrible delivery experience.

Holy cow, the damage to our belongings is incredible. We used brand new Home Depot boxes, half were their "heavy duty" and, well, if I can upload pictures, I will. I put a bunch on google. It is so bad, it looks like someone did it on purpose. I've only looked at half of the boxes so far, but I can't believe what I'm seeing..

I tried to contact Jackson Movers (Mike and Chad were managing my move), neither called back or emailed. Moreover, Mike lied to me about their being a "full-service" moving company. The people that delivered our property told me they didn't work for Jackson Movers at all.

The person in charge of delivery, JR, also tried to convince us that he couldn't get the truck into our neighborhood so they'd need to charge us an extra $750. When we told him other moving vans had been in there, it became $600, then $500, then I showed him a picture of another van parked in front of our property and he finally relented and drove the truck in. He still insisted on another $150, and everything had to be in cash. (Mike told me we could pay by credit card in advance, or with a money order on the day of delivery, but delivery guy would only take cash.)

I had to ask this guy for a receipt for the additional $150, and he wrote that that charge was from the people picking up our stuff, not him. JR must have told me 50 times that nothing was his fault and that he was super amazing. He also reminded me several times that there was no need to check if all the boxes were there. He'd already checked. B.S.

I've done 3 transcontinental moves in the last 10 years, and 7 long distance moves before that. I have never seen anything like this.

It sucks when they have all your stuff hostage.

Just bad.

Terrible experience. The man I initially talked to that did the sale was great, which makes sense, but everyone after had poor professionalism and customer service. They charged extra at every step in the process. My stuff arrived in poor condition and the movers acted like nothing looked wrong. I had boxes that were literally broken and had breakable items falling out. I filed a claim, have not heard back. I paid a lot of money, more than I agreed to initially, and I have broken stuff, had to deal with stress for weeks, and now I have broken irreplaceable items that no one has apologized or reimbursed for.

Long-distance move from Dallas, TX to Palm Beach, FL

Horrible company

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! Biggest scam ever. I was subcontracted this company through Nationwide movers. First off, the mover showed up 8 hours late and they all barely spoke English. One of them broke my dresser while moving it and still added it onto the inventory list even though I had to trash it. Then they had the AUDACITY TO OVERCHARGE ME $1000 OVER MY ORIGINAL QUOTE. When I asked the guy why, he said I went over “my quoted square footage” and I asked him for proof and he refused to give it to me. I tried to get the answer from the RUDEST customer service department I’ve ever dealt with in my life. All they did was tell me the manager would call me with proof of why I was overcharged, and of course I never got my answer. I was moving from TX to FL, which is only 4 states away, first I didn’t hear from these people for two weeks. After I called after two weeks they said my stuff was still sitting in storage!!! Finally a WHOLE MONTH WENT BEFORE I RECEIVED MY STUFF. After a month went by, I told the company I was not available for 3 days for the shipment, they said they can’t guarantee for it not to be delivered on these days and I would be charged a redelivery fee. The “customer service department” is the RUDEST AND LEAST HELPFUL people I’ve ever had to deal with. Finally after a month with barely any communication, the movers came and were AGAIN 8 hours LATE. MOST OF MY STUFF CAME BROKEN!!!!! Do yourself a favor and get a real reputable moving company because this place is an absolute scam.
