Great for senior moves.

My grandparents were moving to a smaller home, and Interstate Moving & Relocation Group handled everything with patience and care. They made sure the process was smooth for them! I recommend them. Thank you so much!

Great Choice for your Move.

After getting the run around from one moving company and an outrageous price from another, I came across IMRG. The price was more than fair, and all of my items arrived on time and in perfect condition. The movers were friendly and easy to work with. I am very pleased with my choice to use IMRG and would recommend them for a move of any size. If I move again, they will be my first choice for sure.

Long-distance move from Twinsburg, OH to Shakopee, MN

Great experience.

I have moved a handful of times in my life, but it was always in-state. Having to relocate my family and I out of state for a job, well, it was time to hire some help. I searched around companies for quotes, and was getting ridiculous prices. Finally I found IMRG, and they were a huge help! The movers were very profession, and got my belongings in and out on time. Nothing was broken, and nothing was out of place. And it didn't break the bank! I would seriously recommend these guys to anyone who has got a big move planned.

Long-distance move from Tupelo, MS to Houston, TX

Great move!

I recently had to move from Tupelo, Mississippi to Huston, Texas. I came across IMRG and a few others. IMRG was the best option I had seen and the prices were extremely within my budget. Moving was hassle free as these guys took care of everything. Everyone with IMRG were very friendly and I look forward to working with them again if I ever decide to move.

Fantastic Professional Service.

I had to make an unexpected 2 bedroom move very quickly. I had tried finding companies that would be able to accommodate my needs and at a reasonable price, I could afford. I had gone through several companies to find one that would be able to make this move possible. Finally, I came across IMRG, they actually fully understood what I was looking for and provided excellent customer service. Extremely helpful in all aspects to attitude to the actual move. When my items arrived, I was really impressed by how well everything was in perfect condition, nothing was missing, most importantly on time. I am very thankful I had found IMRG as no other company was as helpful in making the process of moving as easy.

Long-distance move from Duarte, CA to Irving, TX

2 bedroom move.

I wanted to move to Texas due to family issues, and these guys helped me move my items to not just one, but two rooms. They were gentle and respectful to me and my stuff. They were fair and trustworthy enough that I could leave my home to go to work nothing would be missing. The price was completely affordable and I would definitely recommend IMRG to friends and family. Thanks to these people, I can have quality time with my family instead of spending all my time moving the items. They were also fast and efficient. I love IMRG.

Long-distance move from Los Angeles, CA to Phoenix, AZ

Triple Charged the Interstate Estimate. Unpredictable Communication wi.

Interstate Moving Relocation Group, hereby referred to as IMRG, has failed to provide me:

1) A reasonable timeline of when to expect pickup in Los Angeles.
2) A reasonable timeline of when to expect my things in Arizona.
3) Accurate verification of payment method.
4) Accurate estimate of final bill off by 250%
5) Followup with ASM explaining and a weight ticket.
6) Assistance in helping me process my lost and damaged items report.

I have email and phone records of IMRG continually not answering or responding to business inquiries in a timely manner. For example, when contacted, IMRG agreed to contact All State Movers, hereby referred to as ASM, for a weight ticket. I confirmed with ASM that IMRG had not called. To this time I have not received a weight ticket of my items accounting for the charges as requested of my agent.

To facilitate my move, I had to reserve curb space with the City of Los Angeles. I was quoted by IMRG a 4-day window of Thursday, May 31-Sunday June 1. I have phone and email records of my discussion with IMRG customer service from 2-weeks prior to my curb space reservation of June 2. Requesting them to please give me up to the second information on the official move date. Over a 2-week period, IMRG would continually not keep their word of calling me back at the days and times they said they would. Phone calls to IMRG customer service failed to resolve my issue.

Finally, on Wednesday, May 30 I received a phone call from ASM, not IMRG, confirming they would be there on Saturday, June 2.

I have an issue with IMRG in regards to Payment Method.

Upon paying my deposit, I specifically requested verbally on the phone with IMRG customer service that I would need to work with a moving company that accepted credit card. I was assured that was no problem. However, upon moving day, ASM insisted that they could only accept a personal check. This put me in a very difficult position as a consumer. Not only had I not expected this at all, and so I had packed my checkbooks, I also had to call my father and ask for an emergency personal loan to cover the balance.

I called on the Saturday of my move stating the nature of my issue. I left a voicemail. I received no response until I called IMRG directly on Tuesday, 06/05/2018 and asked to speak to him directly. Again I was lied to about why my estimate was off by more than -250% and I was forced to pay the full amount upfront with a personal check. I was told IMRG would call ASM on my behalf to request a weight ticket. This never happened.

I could not deposit my father's loan and consequently the check bounced. I called IMRG to report this. And nobody returned my call. I was forced to work with ASM directly. Again IMRG demonstrating negligence of their stated broker responsibilities.

I called IMRG for a timeline of when I could expect my things in Arizona? Again. Total lack of follow thru and failure to communicate. Finally, less than 24-hours before they arrived at 4pm I receive a phone call from ASM that I can expect my stuff tomorrow between 9am-12pm This created a hardship for me with my new employer requesting unexpected PTO.

Some of my stuff is lost and broken. I am told by IMRG here is the link to the insurance claim. fill it out yourself.

IMRG quoted me a price estimate that was off by 250%. Thats not an estimate. Thats a guess. What I am more concerned with is IMRG total failure to communicate faithfully with the consumer. This created undue hardship for me as a consumer. I wish to avoid future instances of this for anybody else.

Horrible Service.

First we were told items would be picked up on Wednesday, they weren't. Then we were told items would be picked up on Thursday, they weren't. They did pick up the vehicle, one day late, but now our vehicle is in Ohio and we aren't. We were scheduled to fly out of the state Friday morning and couldn't because our furniture still wasn't picked up. When asked about a refund for the fee/inconvenience the guy says "we can't guarantee pickups" I stated that made no sense considering we signed a contract and paid an $800 deposit. I asked to speak to a manager a few times and was told they were in meetings..for 4 hours. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE company and service!

Do Not Trust What They Tell You.

They took our deposit money with promises that the price was based on weight and NOT number of boxes. Told that multiple times. When the moves showed up (at 8PM), they charge by NUMBER of items. They refused to charge by weight, stating they never charge by weight. Because it was so late we were not able to get a hold of Interstate Moving. Calls routed to VM or gave an error message. One call was answered by a rude women who proceed to hang up on us and would not answer again. Since it was close to MIDNIGHT when they finally moved everything to their van. Their "dispatch" called us and stated it would be almost $1000 more than originally quoted. Tried to refuse but they already had all of our stuff in their truck. Dispatch said they would take payment from previous quote and we would fix tomorrow (Saturday). Never got a call back and it has been almost 3 weeks and it sounds like our stuff hasn't even been moved to the truck that will ship it here! And now it sounds like they are holding our stuff ransom until we give them the extra almost $1000. I am worried either my stuff won't show up or I fear (like other reviews I have seen) that everything will be damaged. DO NOT trust anything they tell you because the moving companies they hire trick you and then Interstate is nowhere to be found.

Great service from IMRG.

Recently I was forced to move to a smaller house after a bit of financial trouble. IMRG gave me with a very fair quote, as well as showing up on time to move my belongings and not giving me any hassle with my move. Everyone I met was extremely friendly and eager. All my furniture was wrapped and loaded in a timely manner, no scratches or damage. I can’t imagine moving without them. I have no complaints at all, and I will certainly contact them first if I need a reliable moving service. Great service overall. I greatly recommend them.

Long-distance move from Phoenix, AZ to Kansas City, KS

Broker.

I had a very unfortunate experience with IMRG. When I called them to get a quote, they gave me a certain number, then ended up being about 1000$ more when they came to pickup. During my original phone call I emailed them photos of everything I wanted them to pack up and move across states for me. Then they contracted it out to the first company, who showed up 6 hours late. When they finally arrived they said they hadn't been told that they were being asked to pack up the items and they couldn't do it that day and it would be much more expensive. The next day IMRG said it would be $1000 more and I couldn't get my money from my deposit back. So eventually after feeling like there were no options, I decided I would pay it so they contracted my move to a SECOND company who came and packed up my stuff. This second group of movers was very unprofessional and never gave me a delivery date, just "sometime in the next two weeks." Then Christmas eve I get a text that they will be in town in 2 hours. I was not in town for the holiday and had no pre warning they would try to deliver that night, so they had to charge me a re delivery fee. They took my stuff all the way across the country to store it during that time! The lady at move one moving (the second broker company) was beyond rude and so not helpful. I have moved many times and this was by far the worst. Also when they delivered they had broken the edge of my moms piano. Please don't put the stress of using this moving company on your life.

Long-distance move from Lilburn, GA to Dover, DE

Charged for no services rendered.

Charged $1500 for no services rendered, no refund issued, contract cancellation policy is unfair to customer.
Paid $1500 towards move, cancelled within 72 hours in writing. However have to also cancel 30 days before move which is unreasonable as most individuals won't have that kind of advanced notice to cancel. Original booking occurred on 1/25/2019 where my initial contract estimate was $2024.32 total with a reasonable credit card charge of $800. After signing, a few additional minor household items were added to the inventory list whereby a new contract was signed with an overpriced estimate of $4552.65 where my credit card was charged an additional $1500. In both instances, there were no receipts given for any transactions to my credit card as promised. In addition, this company did not confirm a scheduled pick-up time within my requested pick-up timeline of 2/1-2/2. With little customer service help between not receiving credit card transaction receipts and not having a confirmed pick-up time, I cancelled services in writing within 24 hours of signing the second agreement due to finding a more reasonably priced moving company with better customer service (i.e., confirmed date/time of scheduled pickup within 12 hours of booking and documented emailed receipt of credit card transaction immediately after being charged for services) that did not have additional fees such as a $2101.65 binding fee, fuel surcharge $194, etc. that this broker charged. My total budget to move was $3,000 and the other company's estimate was only $2,947 with the additional minor household items added to the inventory list.
This company's 72-hour cancellation policy clause is in direct conflict with the 30 day cancellation policy clause, which this company did not point out to me that I could not cancel without a deposit loss under any circumstances if I placed a job within a 30 day window. In fact, this company's cancellation policy over-emphasizes their 72-hour cancellation policy twice, once at the beginning and again towards the end of the policy. Meanwhile, the 30 day rule is in direct conflict with the 72 hour cancellation clause. Disputed both the $800 and $1500 credit card charges, but only received $800 refund. Company has kept $1500 for no services rendered upon receiving 72 hour cancellation in writing. Company's 30 day clause is in direct conflict with 72 hour cancellation policy.

They scammed me and don't be scammed.

First of all IMRG company is a scam. These guys are just brokers and they don’t own nothing but your money. Let tell you how they scammed me. BTW all the good reviews are fake and I have proof for that as well.

We planned for a move from FL to GA and IMRG called me and asked me a few questions about the move and the items that needs to be moved. They quoted me $2xxx for a 3 bedroom condo. Here are the items that were agreed and I’ll explain how they scammed me later
1. They made me believe that small items in my house can be packed in 15 boxes.
2. They made me believe that all items including big ticket items will fall within 3300 lbs.
3. They said there is no stairs fee as we are in first floor.
4. They said there is no date move fee since I made a reservation 5 days before the move
5. They made me pay $6xx using my credit card initially and also said that I am most likely going to be well within the quoted amount (That’s the funniest part).

I had to postpone the date to 2 days. Now the scam starts

1. They charge me $200 for the change in date and they are saying that “IMRG does not have anything to do with this fee. It’s all the truck company that’s asking for the fee”
2. I get calls from a rude rude rude women about my moving and they said the truck will arrive on Tuesday (I wanted them on Wednesday) since they are around my area. I said I am not prepared. Rude women calls me back saying she was able to talk to the truck company and is scheduled for Wednesday
3. Now Truck shows up. Surprisingly the truck has 50% filled with someone else’s items. I was shocked
4. The driver and another person in the truck says there will be an extra charge of $800 for the additional items in the house. THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL ITEMS.
5. The driver also says that the stuff would weigh more than quoted 3300 lbs and that would cost additional fee
6. The driver also says there will be an additional fee for every 7 steps ($75)
7. I pad half the amount cuz I had kids and we just want to move
8. Now the driver says the truck is full and they can’t accommodate other items in my house. I now had to throw away my king size mattress and other items cuz the truck was already 50% occupied by items from someone else’s move
8. Now the truck shows up in our apartment in Georgia. The truck driver says “Hey you have stairs here.. So we need to charge you more”.
9. I did not even wanted them to assemble my bed and other furnitures. They still broke the handles in my dining chairs which is expensive.
10. Now he charged me a bomb ($3xxx) way above what was quoted earlier.

When I ask IMRG who I signed contract with, They are saying that I need to deal with the truck company and not with these clowns. I insisted I deal with these clowns because I signed up a contract with them and not with the truck company. Now they are in touch with the truck company and first they said

1. “Moving and they advise per the stair charge  it is a legal charge and will not be taken off the contract” —> This is a copy and paste from their email
2. Now after I send them pictures of the stairs they are saying “Can you sen a pick as to where the truck was parked at the pick up location.”
Now their story is “As far as the charge for the stairs as per the carrier he is stating that you also had a long carry. Which means your front door was 75 ft from the truck”

Anyway I am filing a complaint against them in BBB, FTC and also a lawsuit. I have all the paperwork to support this. Scammers should not exist.

Beware and look elseware.

Horrible company, watch out for their cancellation policy. NOT MILITARY friendly. We booked with them in less than 30 days, requested a cancellation and refuse to refund. Rather they want to keep the money and put towards a future move. Cant trust them, their weight estimates are a little questionable too. We just lost over $2000 due to their policy, hope no one else makes the same mistake. 1 star is being generous.

Go with an AMERICAN mom and pop moving company, ill make sure this company does not touch any service members items.

Good Experience.

My experience with IMRG was good . The reps was upfront with me about my inventory to make sure I didn't get any surprise during my pick up as he explained to me some customer tend to leave of things and after packing than realizing they have way more than anticipated and failed to let us know which could be costly at pick up which was important to me because my employer gave me a budget . I like the moving tip link my moving coordinator sent me during this moving process because it help you save money by teaching you how to properly pack and what to take and not to take of course it hard when your moving you want to take everything after reading the link and talking to my moving coordinator . I realize there were some things I didn't necessarily need to take with me decided to have a yard sales as the link advise to reduce my cost. I appreciate the knowledge and customer service was friendly and accommodating.

Horrendous treatment, breach of contract.

I arranged services for a July move in April. The move was from Connecticut to Alabama. The sales person led me to believe my stuff would be delivered 3 days after being picked up. When the time came, the pickup was supposed to be Thursday morning, I called 7x before they finally came on Friday afternoon. The foreman was rude, condescending, and intimidating (he is well over 6 foot and well over 300 lbs).He INFORMED me that he expected a tip of 10-15% of the cost of my move before even finishing packing. One of the movers even clogged my toilet without saying anything! AFTER loading all of my stuff, they told me it would be 14 business days before my stuff would arrive, unless I wanted to pay an additional $1750. I would never have agreed to this contract if I had known this was the case. If the foreman had even told me about the 14 business day window BEFORE loading, I could've packed my medication and professional clothes to start my new job with. The foreman than stood over me while having me fill out a customer satisfaction survey- so unprofessional and unethical! I called IMRG who said they were only the broker, that legally Federal Moving had 30 business days. The sales person who had misled me refused to take my calls, the customer service manager attempted to speak with Federal Moving on my behalf but told me that I "couldn't expect good customer service from truckers." I called the broker multiple times the first week, receiving sympathy but no actual help. IMRG said they listed my move as "priority" but told me that did not guarantee anything. The second week they told me my stuff was being loaded on Wednesday, then Friday, then Sunday, then Monday. Then, sorry it will be at least another 9 days. 14 business days is 2 days from now. I have been sleeping on an air mattress and wearing only the clothes I drove here in for over 2 weeks. I asked IMRG if I could go get the stuff from the warehouse in New Jersey myself and was passed off to the Federal Moving dispatcher who does not answer my calls and does not have voicemail set up. I have contacted a lawyer and will be suing for breach of contract. I am also contacting the Better Business Bureau and posting on any and every website and social media platform I can access.

READ & RE-READ the Reviews BEFORE you give them money!

If I had read the reviews before, I would not have signed up and then lost, my deposit of $1346.06 Terry Arthur, one of the company's representative was so smooth and gentle chatting me up,leading me to believe his company was the only one to meet my needs. I paid the deposit and 5 days later learned that my things would not be delivered on the day of my choice. TA asked me during the initial set up what day I would like to have my things delivered, I choose a date and he said that was great, "no problem" and five days after I gave them my deposit, I found out the delivery date I chose was just the "starting point" EXCUSE me ?!?!? The moving company they chose for me, GREEN PLANET MOVERS would deliver my things anywhere from 10 to 21 days after the delivery date, unless I had paid EXTRA for the GUARANTEED Delivery Date and in my case it was $2300. Supposedly if I had found out within the 3 days of giving them my deposit, it would have been returned, I have my doubts about that. This Company and the people that work for it are scam artists and very good at what they do best, STEALING YOUR MONEY, HOLDING YOUR THINGS FOR RANSOM. I can not afford to have lost my deposit of $1346.06..but giving them any more money would be on me. Do not TRUST this company, they are not nice and once they have your money, they do not care about you or your things. In my case they took advantage of a new widow who just had open heart surgery 6 months ago. I just wanted to move close to family and live out my life in peace, that they should be so ruthless about keeping my money was a complete shock to me, I do not want this episode in my life to "jade" my opinion of people, but it has left a deep mark and I am raw from the experience.

Would not recommend this company.

I would NOT recommend using Interstate Moving & Relocation Group for ANY move.
We are in process of moving to TN. I had originally hired Interstate Moving and Relocation Group to move our belongings and paid the deposit. However a friend then offered to drive our belongings for us. I contacted Terry and Leanora, my two contacts within Interstate Moving and Relocation Group, within the required 72 hours via phone and the email address used to send me the contract in order to cancel our contract and to get my deposit back. Neither responded. Neither let me know there was one more site to contact to cancel the contract. And, because I didn’t see this third place on the very long contract, I am now out our deposit. The company adamantly refuses to refund the money.
I called multiple times and emailed them trying to get our deposit money back. They refused. Lenora even called me a week later to ask if I was still canceling, then claimed I could not get my deposit back. The company states I can reschedule the move w/ them and used the deposit money towards that move. But, if they do NOT have the common courtesy to refund my money, why would I trust them with my belongings? We need the deposit money back due to the high cost of moving, but our credit card company states Interstate Moving & Relocation Group refuses any refund.
Do not use this company. There are many more companies out there who are far more reputable.

Terrible, Terrible Company.

I would NEVER recommend using this company. They provided a reasonable quote based an inaccurate inventory they record, make sure you don't see how wrong it is, and then called back to "verify the inventory" two days before the move with almost a 50% increase in price (took away discounts they offered up front along with increasing the amount per pound). We ended up paying much more than we would have paid other movers because we were left with no time to find another mover, and we had already paid substantial money up front. Additionally, they told me they did the actual moving and were not a broker, which is not true. The moving company they subcontracted with, American Eagle Moving and Storage - Mike Stevens - was awful.
Interstate Moving & Relocation Group was very difficult to deal with, nice at first but once you have given them a downpayment, they are rude and not helpful at all.

Do not use this company under any circumstances.

I contacted this company to move me from TN to PA. The person I initially talked with and had worked up my first contract mysteriously disappeared literally from one day to the next. The next person to contact me which was many days later said the mover would be $5000 higher than the first contract. I was told by the first person that it was a binding contract and that I would not pay more than stated on the contract no matter what the final weight would be. If it was less, I would be charged less. I will be happy to share the detail of everything that happened to me with this company. Due to the disappearance of the person I was dealing with, the lack of response in answering my questions, I was in a bind and did not have time to get another moving company. For brokering the deal with a company call All State Movers they got over $4000. The actual movers I would highly recommend. In fact, they gave me a discount to cover some of the loss that the broker had caused me and they did not have to do this. They were super. Contact them directly if you want a great mover and DO NOT GO THROUGH INTERSTATE MOVING AND RELOCATION GROUP.
I would never use this company again or recommend them to anyone. If you want all the specific details you can email me at marymaurer325@gmail.com. I can also put you in touch with the movers themselves that were excellent.

Horrible Service.

From the time that my Daughter contacted this company they were friendly, cooperative and seemed to go the extra mile and seemed to be very professional. However; once they got your down payment and you were on the hook for doing business with this company everything changes. You could not get in touch with the rep and when you did the rep was so unprofessional about everything in dealing with him. As you go along and questions arise and you need to talk with someone, the rep soon became very unprofessional in every manner. The rep that my daughter dealt with his Name is Ronnie Simon, he is supposedly a Senior Moving Coordinator. When my daughter would contact him about question’s he would constantly ask her for a picture of herself. She would tell him no every time. But he kept insisting. This happened on multiple occasions, she finally sent him a picture of her cat and said that is the only picture that he was going to get. His response was “I did not want a picture of your pus_ _”. This should never be allowed to happen in a working environment when you are in the customer service business. This is the most unprofessional business that I have ever seen. I would not deal with this company for all of the tea in China, when they treat female callers in this manner, I would advise all female inquiries to look elsewhere. I did not find about this this until after the fact, as I write this, I am so angry that I did not find out about this ahead of time and while it was happening. I would have put a stop to it when it first happened. While this is on the company side and dealing with the company Reps, they made promises about pick-up times and dates that were never adhered to.

Worst experience of my life.

Our stuff hasn’t even arrived yet, at this point I’m questioning if it even will. When we left Maine (moving to FL) we didn’t have our address yet but called on October 25 to give them the delivery address. Here it is November 12 and our stuff isn’t even leaving Boston for 3 more days (supposedly). We called MANY times for an update and got the run around, no answer, and sometimes promise of a call back that never happened. Finally my wife called the actual carrier and they didn’t even have our address!! You’d think that error would have been caught in one of the ten plus times we called for an update!! If you’re reading this I BEG of you not to use this garbage pile of a company. This whole time no explanation of why our stuff didn’t leave for 3 weeks or even an apology!! If this company offered me a $1000 refund not to leave bad reviews I would deny it 100 times out of a 100 in the chance that I can stop someone from wasting their money on this company. Please Please use a different company if you value your time or money.

Unreliable.

They picked up my furniture last Monday, and up until today, 8 days later, I still have no news about the delivery time. They promised to send three people to move my grand piano, but instead, only sent two men to move. The piano is too heavy, I have to hire a third person out of my pocket to help move the grand piano. They are not honest, and lack of communication. They outsourced to Best Price Moving and Storage. Cheap company and are very rude. My moving cost me over $10,000 which is not a small job. I am disappointed they did not take it seriously. If only I knew they will hire a cheap company to move my expensive furniture, I will not hire them. They are a broker. They will promise anything and will not deliver. Beware!!

Long-distance move from Utah to Washington

Worst experience.

I used this company to move me from Utah to Washington state. Their representative, Frank Bell, told me that I would need either two Cashier's checks or postal money orders (one at pickup and one at delivery). I got two Cashier's checks, each for half of the remaining balance that I owed. The movers that picked up my furniture accepted the check but wanted an additional $400.00 cash because I had more items than were on the inventory list that they were provided by IMRG. I had e-mailed Frank Bell a list of additional items and followed up with a phone call to make sure that he had received it. Frank was not available, as usual, so I left a voice mail message. My Visa account was charged an additional $1,000.00 the next day do I assumed that he had updated my inventory list as I had requested. The movers who delivered my furniture refused to accept a Cashier's check and demanded a postal money order. It was 4:00 p.m. when they arrived. They were suppose to be there in the morning but their truck broke down. My husband had to scramble to get to a post office, in a city that he was unfamiliar with, in order to get them their money. I have moved several times, from Cottonwood Heights, Utah to Houston, Texas, from Houston, Texas to Park City, Utah and from Park City, Utah to West valley City, Utah and have NEVER had anything broken or lost. The movers that IMRG assigned to me broke several of my lamps, the glass in two large pictures was shattered, my Hoover vacuum was no longer an upright and, worst of all, they lost a three legged hand carved antique table that I had inherited from my parents. If you do business with this company, make sure that you take out plenty of insurance. Their customer service is terrible and I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.
