Long distance move from California to Minnesota. IMRG is not at all upfront in its advertising that it is a broker and that it passes off the execution of your move to a random company, that you have no control in choosing, and cannot review because you are only told of who the movers are on the day of the move. The experience was unprofessional, non-communicative, and unpleasant. My belongings were picked up at the end of July and only by the grace of God did I receive my items in November. IMRG gave me the run around for 3 months, were incompetent in helping me communicate with the movers (Deluxe Moving; Whatever you do, DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!), and promised that my move would come with many services that I ended up having to pay almost double what I was quoted. The movers, Deluxe Moving (AGAIN, DO NOT HIRE, Please, I beg you), charged for random things that were not in my contract and threatened to not deliver my things unless I paid. I received many of my items broken, half missing parts, and some things were flat out stolen. I asked IMRG to help me file a claim, and they initially provided me the information of "movingclaims.net," but when I attempted to file a claim, that company said they could not find Deluxe in their database and thus do not service the company. I have attempted to get back in touch with IMRG to figure out how to file my claim, and they do not email back, keep me on hold and then hang up, and are overall unhelpful. Please, do not use this company.

I made a list of the contents of each container, as well as my personal possessions. I became engaged when friends told me that even while travelling great distances, things might be overlooked. However, I shouldn't get involved because everything was in perfect working order when it arrived. It was especially reassuring because all of the objects were neatly labeled with the help of the movers. Every guy or woman I met developed into a type, a professional, and a kind host. My transfer was delayed due to an unforeseen circumstance with one of their drivers, but the agency was very helpful.

We have been majorly ripped off, belongings broken, still waiting for our second truck. Which we were told was still in Oregon, we moved to Florida. They picked up our stuff August 21st, it is now October 11th, with no delivery date in sight.As all the other reviews say, you can't get ahold of them. Once they have your money, they are done with you. We never were told the weight or given a bill of lading. The movers they hired are horrible. They are complete scammers. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! HOPEFULLY FMCSA will shut them down. Update: It has now been almost 3 months, still do not have our belongings, no bill of lading, no information as to if or when we will ever receive our things. We filed with the Better Business Bureau. Now we will be contacting the Attorney General's office to file a complaint, as we can only assume our things have been stolen. Will also contact the Sheriff's office to see if we can file a criminal complaint. I guess next step is to take them to court and SUE the hell out of them. Interstate and Aegis relocation are apparently thieves as well as employing horrid business practices!!

IMRG assigned Coast2Coast vanlines (Long Island, NY) to perform our move. Truck that delivered our property had a damaged roof, property sufffered significant water damage, and several iems were lost. THe moving ccompany rarelY answers our calls, and NEVER returns them. We are 5 months from the move and still no satisfaction. IMRG has essentially washed its hands of the situation, saying that the mover they selected was USDOT licensed. My advice is to stay away from any moving broker. This group sent us into a black hole.

The sales person that I spoke with led me to believe that my items would arrive the same day or worst case the following day as my move was less than 200 miles. He never once mentioned that DOT law states an out of state move can take 21 to 30 days to receive shipment. Luckily the driver who was going to be 3 hours late advised me of this before He arrived. He stated I would need to pay $700.00 more for “expedited service”. When I called to cancel they refused to give my deposit back stating I signed the contract. The only solution they offered was to get my things within 5 days but couldn’t say for sure when. As if I would believe that when the carrier is insisting that is not possible. What a horrid experience with a so called reputable company.

I just wanted to write and say a Big Thank you to the guys who moved us last week from OK to OH. We had packed our belongings beforehand but plenty of furniture needed flat packing.Every single item has arrived un-scratched !!! The company was very accommodating as we had to change the arrival time for the removal team.Very professional and they kept moving all through. I really valued the service and the move was great. Interstate Moving & Relocation Group highly appreciated.

Professional, polite and a powerful team. From the first call to the the last set of move to my new house, the manager kept calling me and telling me about our move and how things are going. Asked for the free wardrobe boxes to make moving clothes, linens and towels easier. All large items were padded and wrapped, including my large framed pictures and mirrors. Heavy items were handled professionally even when hauling up and down flights of stairs. Well worth the cost. Gonna recommend them to everyone.

Using this broker was by far the WORST decision I have ever made. The broker, Mitch Peters, provided me with a COMPLETELY misleading quote to gain my business. In the end, my move cost was DOUBLE! The company hired by IMRG to do my move was unqualified and grossly negligent which resulted in major damage to my antique furniture, artwork and dishes. The post move support, care or concern was ZERO by ALL IMRG representatives. I could not even receive a return phone call or email once my down payment was accepted. Also the move date for delivery kept changing and IMRG again did NOTHING to help or facilitate the many stressful issues we encountered.

Don't be fooled by their low quote

I've used this company twice and would highly recommend them to anyone. The price is reasonable to the area and even if it's more or so for an hour it's worth it! I've used several other cheaper companies in the past and have been disappointed with the service and handling of my furniture. Interstate Moving's team wrap and pack everything with care and speed. I never felt like they were slowing down to increase their time or that they were being inconsiderate of my things. Once again, I've used them twice, each time with 3 different people, and my experience was excellent both times.

I moved from Maryland to California recently. We talked with several moving companies and searched on web about rating of these companies. We found IMRG has a good rating and the price was relatively low. We signed contract with them. After signing, we found IMRG is a broker company. We did not cancel the contract, as hoped IMRG could do a good job. Then our nightmare stated.

What I need moved is two bedrooms, living room, dining room and study room, pulsing a treadmill and a exercise bike . There are total 180 pieces, including 121 boxes. Most boxes are the small and the media box from Home Depot. The estimate from IMRG was 10700 pl. and 1533 cubic feet. Before the mover come, I measured and weighted each item to be move. The total weight is little 9800 pl. and volume 1276 cubic feet. Both are below the estimations from IMRG.

In the contract, it states that “If you add items at pick-up or if the items are a different volume and/or weight from what estimated on this agreement: the mover has to provide you with a revised estimate. Contact IMGR office, so that we may assist you with any reversion”.

The kay point is how and who could decide there are difference volume and/or weight. The first mover came, and said it was 17000 pl., even had not put the hand on any items. I called IMRG, but no one answer the phone. The second mover came. They said it was 2200 cubic feet, or weight by scale. I called IMRG, the lady on the phone said as both movers said you have more stuff than what estimated, and mover should be right. As everything was packed, and I could not wait more, I took the scale option. Based on the scale, when they come truck weight is 11680 lb., and after loaded 26480 lb. At the delivery, Penske truck was used. It is same 26 ft box truck. The volume of it is 1700 cubic feet, the maximum load is 10000 pl, and GVW is 26000 pl. Comparing with Penske truck, the move’s truck weight is 4300 pl. less. But the moving load is 5000 pl. more than I weighted. Also, at the delivery, the Penske truck only has two third was filled. It means that total volume of the load was about 1200 cubic feet.

The moving itself was horrible. Both are small companies. They hired day labor for moving. Someone did not have the experience as the mover. There were a lot of damages on the furniture, scratches on the hardwood floor and holes on the carpet. The mover claimed their truck can load 2200 cubic feet. But, finally there were more than ten items, including mattress and treadmill, unable to load as the truck was full. The worst thing was that they hired day labor on Craigslist at the delivery. In the middle of unloading, one helper suddenly left. Before the mover leaving, we found that the cash in kitchen draw was disappeared. Police came, but the mover could not provide any information about the helper.

IMRG is a broker. They take the commission and find a moving company for me. In my case, both movers are from tiny company. When they come, they can claim whatever the weight and the volume are, and IMRG has no way to correct them. At the same time, I got everything packed, and I could not wait forever. I had no other way, but to accepted mover’s price and signed contract with them.

Finally, I paid three thousand dollar more than the contract with IMRG for the moving. There are items left in my old house that worth another three thousand. It does not include the money disappeared in the moving.

Booked a cross-country move with IMRG after calling at least a dozen companies and comparing/contrasting. Was given 2 days (day 1 and day 2) during which pick up was suppose to occur. Was told by the salesperson that movers will call me one day before to give me advanced notice of their time of arrival. Couple days before, someone from their quality assurance department told me that the pickup wouldn't occur on day 1, but rather day 2 or another time this week b/c it was end of month and they were supposed to be busy. On day 1, movers call me saying they were on their way and would show up in 30 mins. I was like what? someone told me you'd come on day 2 or another day that week and nobody called me in advance to let me know, as promised. Spent couple days trying to call and deal with this unprofessional and inept company; but they ended up never showing up and even dared to keep my security deposit event though it was their fault. Ended up having to book someone else last minute at twice the price. Never received an apology or a refund, instead was blamed for their miscommunication and professionalism. Do NOT get fooled by their sales tactics or low prices - you get what you pay for. Save the headache and hire someone else.

Even though I'm older, I'm not afraid of hard work and moving some furniture and lugging boxes. I draw the line with my big heavy furniture and was delighted to find Interstate Moving & Relocation. Three young men Chris, Cameron and Gabe showed up on time, were very polite and knew how to take care of my furniture. They worked efficiently and quickly and had the job done in 2.5 hours. I'm very pleased with this company and the quality of professional service.
