WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER and we've moved a lot!! IVL mixed up our short term delivery, required cash they never mentioned up front (who doesn’t take a debit/credit card for thousands of dollars?), lost the last storage unit and tried to tell us we received everything until they finally located it, then it didn’t arrive until 2 MONTHS later after they found it, lousy customer service throughout and never took us seriously, and lastly, they broke thousands of dollars worth of stuff and didn’t reimburse us for anything - our $1500 patio table wasn't even unloaded from the truck because it was so damaged!! Did I mention they refused to reimburse us for anything?? I can’t express how bad this company is! We gave them every chance to make things right and they flat refused to do anything! For the $17,500 we paid, they did not even meet our very minimum expectations!! RUN from IVL and don't look back!!

Moving is never fun. International Van Lines make it the best experience it could have been for us. I had to call into the office several times before the move and was met with the greatest of customer service. Our crews were punctual, pleasant, professional and helpful. These guys have a hard job and never complained and had a positive attitude. They made this move better than we ever could have expected. Thank you so much and when you are planning your move, I would ask for this crew. You won't regret it!

The Two movers who came to move our stuff. . They let us know when they were on their way and arrived punctually and after doing a walk around they got to work and cleared the place out. They were fast and efficient and knew what they were doing despite the variety of furniture and boxes to pack away. They also had the supplies and equipment they needed on hand so they handled everything in stride. The whole experience was surprisingly pleasant on our side. I'd definitely grab them again if we have need for more movers. I did not get their packing Service so I cannot comment on that service.

Please DO NOT hire them for your move. In short: The initial quote given to me was $1900. On the day of pick-up, it was increased to $2,200. On the delivery day, they are asking for another $300. They sub-contract with other companies, whose people are rude and unprofessional.

Full details:
I hired them for one bedroom apartment move from San Francisco to Texas. The only heavy item that I had was one queen bed, mattress, and recliners. I finalized the deal with Michael Jacobs for $1900. Pick-up date was June 28th, 8:00AM and drop-off date was July 7th. To begin with they came at 2:00PM. For packing; they will put just one dish and tonns of paper to increase the number of boxes. When I told them it is not so expensive and its fine to pack without so much paper, the packer kept saying they will be held liable in the end therefore, he has to pack this way.
Then, the driver who came to pick our stuff, named Moses, changed the quote to $2,200 EXCLUDING recliners as they were not on the inventory list given to him. Please note that the initial quote was $1,900 with recliners. I told him that I would like to speak with ‘Mike’ as I finalized the deal with him and recliners were supposed to be in the inventory. He said, " Mike is not the boss, I am. So either we take your stuff in $2,200 or leave. You decide". He was so rude. I still called to speak with Mike. Because of the different time zone, their office was closed and I could not speak to Mike. Since I was flying out the next day, I had no choice but to agree with Moses. So from $1900, I agreed to pay $2,200 without recliners. My stuff never came on July 7th. I have been contacting Mike all these days asking about my stuff. My emails and phone calls are always answered by someone else but not Mike.

Finally, today on July 18th my stuff arrived. They have a different driver now and he is asking for another $300. The reason given is his trailer can't come inside the community because of tree branches. I can't believe it. I saw 53 feet trailer day before yesterday in our community. When I told him the same, he said he doesn't know about that but he can't do it. I told him that I would like to speak to Mike. He made me speak with Moses who was rude again. He was yelling at me and said "if the driver can't do it he can't do it. You have to pay" I told him I won't pay anything extra now. He asked his driver to leave.

I called and left a voicemail for Mike Jacobs. Emailed him as well. Waiting to hear from him.
Maybe I have to pay in the end because they have my stuff but hopefully, others can prevent themselves from being ripped off by this company.

I hired IVL for a cross country move from Los Angeles to Bayshore, NY. My move consisted of a 3 bedroom home, car, and motorcycle. IVL send a dedicated truck just for my load. They also sent a five-person team who did a great job getting things wrapped and loaded promptly. I decided to self-pack my boxes to save money, but they did the rest. My salesperson Justin was excellent and getting things set up for me. Everything he said they would do they did and some. I'm in the military, and this is my 6th time working with a moving company. I have to say that IVL was one of the most professional out of all of them. I am happy to leave this review and refer them.

This is the second time i've used International Van Lines, but didn't have a chance to leave a review the first time around. I hired them for a second move to NY simply based on the positive experience I had the first time around. Their movers went above and beyond my requests and I received everything with no damage. My rep Justin was really good at going over the details and being very straight forward with me. I would use again.
