Quoted no more than 14k for our move
From CA to GA.. ended up being OVER 3k more.. we paid more than $17,000! We were Quoted 5-7 days for things to arrive.. last on the truck and the first off.. took almost 21 days! Multiple Items were broken and we are so over trying to communicate with these liars we are not going to try and get the money to replace the broken items such as baby's crib, pottery barn end table, baby dresser leg broken off and others.. the men unloading came so tired the one slept in the truck almost the whole time and the other worked solo half the day until they called two random guys from Craigslist to come help! I asked that the beds and crib be up by 6:30 and they weren't up until 8p and they didn't have any tools or drills to help put tables and beds and tables together! Worst company to deal with!

Service cost: $17200

1. Several days/hours late for pick up and delivery.
2. Actual costs on the day of the move were 90% higher than originally quoted.
3. Rude and unprofessional after they get your money and possessions.
4. No way of accounting for possessions (items were either not numbered or the majority of the stickers fell off) .
5. High value possessions are missing and they claim not to know where they are (tools, jewelry, down bedding, etc.)
6. Extremely careless with our items, broke and damaged several furniture items and boxes.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $10000

This is the worse company we have ever used.
When I contacted them I ask about the delivery time and was told it was between 1 and 5 days. Wrong it is between 1 and 21 days.
Their inventory stated 1800 cu/ft. I told them it was wrong and it would be around 2400 cu/ft. They sent a truck with a 1800 cu/ft capacity. I called and they said that a second truck had been sent and would be there within an hour. Wrong - didn't arrive until the next day.
On a long move they do not deliver directly from the pick up location to the destination, They send the load to a warehouse where it sits until they have a full load for a bigger truck. That mean that you goods are loaded twice and unloaded twice by two different movers. This results double the chance of damages.
Damages: 2 dinning room chairs with the arms broken off.
Dinning table with a big mar on the surface.
Oak kitchen table with broken back.
Queen Ann sewing cabinet with broken leg.
Grand Father clock with broken let.
Head board and 2 side rails for full bed missing.
25 boxes missing.
When you call the agent handling your move they will not answer the phone and will not return calls.
Never use this company.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $8000

While the move was on time and the crew in Chicago was professional and good, the delivery crew was really sub-par. The delivery crew was out of Houston, according to the truck driver. The driver was fairly sketchy and smirked at many questions (where is the hardware for the dining table?). Somewhere between the pickup and delivery, all the hardware needed to put my dining table and bed frames together went missing. In one instance, I saw hardware taped to the outside of a mattress pad, retrieved it and put together a small side table, so that must be what they did to all the hardware. But I called the driver back after realizing all the hardware was missing, and he insisted the pads didn't have these items. While this wasn't a big loss financially, it really was a huge hassle going to purchase all the necessary hardware to put beds together the first night here. Worse, the delivery crew looked to be under age, very thin, didn't speak English well and obviously couldn't read the boxes. I had marked FRAGILE and THIS SIDE UP on boxes of China and glassware. One of the kids rolled one of these boxes down the ramp, shattering some of my china. I stopped him and told him not to roll any of the boxes down. He also rammed a door open, causing a dent in a newly painted wall, so I had to tell him not to do that. No one paid attention to the markings on the box (marked on EACH SIDE) as to the location the box should go to. So watching and managing three people deliver things was very difficult and I wound up removing boxes from one room to put them in another. Lastly, there was a LOT of small dings, scratches, damaged legs, etc. on furniture. My new dining table had a gash in the corner, an antique dresser had a large gash in the front, two dressers were missing drawer pulls (how did that happen?) . I think all boxes were delivered, and am glad that I made my own list of the box numbers and contents while I was packing (I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU HAVE YOUR OWN LIST, as this is the 5th move in 10 years across the country, and I have always before had things stolen from me.. all different van lines, some insurance claims ensued.) I am glad that with this lack of quality in delivery and handling I wasn't left even worse off, but moving is stressful and seeing your things get dings and scratches is really hard to deal with. I think the Company is potentially using underage kids, and this should be investigated. Those two kids, one from Louisville KY and one who couldn't speak English could not have been more than 16 years old, so I felt like I was complicit in using child labor. And these kids weren't trained properly.

The pick up process was fine. It was a good experience until they had our stuff. I called a couple times after about a week and a half asking for an estimate and they kept brushing me off. Finally after 3 weeks, they said it would be dispatched the following week and would take another 7-10 days which would put it after the estimate they promised me. I tried calling and leaving voicemails to try and have it delivered earlier but they never picked up or answered. I would not recommend at all, go with another company.

I hired IVL for a move from San Francisco to Houston for a 3 bedroom house. When I initially started looking for moving companies I was very nervous about the process. I've read countless negative reviews about the moving industry as a whole so I spent days doing research. I found IVL on a couple of 3rd party websites which stated that they were ranked in the top 3 moving companies in the nation. Well I must say that they did a great job for me. Not only would I use them again I would recommend them to anyone looking for a moving company. I had no damage, over charges or any issues for that matter. I can see why their ratings are so high.

My family used IVL back in 2014 for a move to Texas. Now we're moving back home to SC and needed to find another moving company. We called IVL because they provided such a good service the first time around. The same rep is still there so we called him (Brian). He was quick to respond and get a crew out to pack us up. The second move went just as good as the first one so we're happy to leave this review

I hired IVL back in 2014 for a move from NY to TX. I recently moved back to NY and hired IVL again. I actually dealt with the same rep that originally handled my move which was nice (Justin). It's a good sign when someone is with a company for many years. Anyhow, the crew did a fantastic job. They worked really hard to make sure everything was properly packed, loaded and nothing was uncovered. They spent about 8 hours packing up my 3 bedroom house. The foreman (John) was so polite and helpful. This is not the first time I had to work with a moving company. I worked with IVL before and several other companies in the past. IVL was the better of the few. I wanted to spend a couple minutes and leave the a review because they deserve it. I would work with them again and recommend them to anyone looking for a moving company.  .

I recently moved to Springfield, CO from Austin, TX and contracted with IVL to handle the entire move. My move consisted of a 3 bedroom hours + 2 cars that needed to be shipped. Since my company was paying for the move I decided to have IVL do everything from the packing, loading and crating a few pieces of furniture. The crew from IVL that showed us were excellent. They spent pretty much the whole day working and did a fine job. I made sure to tip the movers very well as well as buy them lunch. Since we had a full truck load it took about 4 days to get to the destination in Springfield where they did the off loading. The guys there were different then the pick up crew, but did an amazing job. They made sure to clean up all the boxes, assemble furniture and even put away my dishes and clothes. I was very impressed with the outcome of the move that I decided to get them on the vendor list with my company. This is a 5 star moving company and I would most certainly use them again if I had to hire a moving company. I would also like to mention that my sales rep Justin was amazing so if you need a mover call him directly.

International Van Lines turned out to be a great choice for my family. We literally spent 3 weeks doing research for our move from Houston to LA. The number 1 reason we picked IVL is because of their reviews and the fact that they could provide us with all of the services we needed. This was for a 4 bedroom home, 2 cars and a motorcycle. Since this was a fairly large move I wanted to make sure we picked someone good that was not going to rip us off or damage our goods. With that said we're reasonable people and understand that damage can occur when moving. The crew came out and went to work. They busted their butts to make sure we were happy with the job and everything was protected and insured. We received our goods about 3 weeks later and everything was fine. They place our stuff where it needed to go and we ended up with no damaged items. I've never worked with a moving company before, but I would use IVL again if I had to move. I wanted to tale my time to leave this review because most people only leave negative feedback. I give them 5 stars over and over.

I move from Baytown, TX to Chicago, IL. I chose IVL based on their online reputation. They were also mentioned on a couple of consumer websites as being a top rated moving company. My move consisted of a 4 bedroom house which also required full packing, loading and crating of an antique dresser. The move took about 6 hours from start to finish. The guys worked really hard and did a great job making sure my things were protected. The delivery to IL took about a week. Everything was received just fine and with no damage so I am happy with the experience.

I used International Van Lines for a local move in FL. My move was not to complicated, but like everyone I wanted to have a good experience. I had several companies come by and do an on sight survey. IVL was in the middle as far as cost. I went with them because of their reviews and the rep Justin was great! Movers did a fine job getting everything packed and delivered in a timely manner. I hope I don't have to move anytime soon, but I would use them again if I have to.

I used International Van Lines for a long-distance move to New York. Initially I was very nervous about the process especially considering what you read on the internet. I spent countless hours reading horror stories and vetting companies. I couldn't seem to find a moving company that maintained a decent reputation. I finally found IVL on a few consumer advocate websites which recommended them as one of the top moving companies in the U.S. Even after reading that I still checked into them. They're an actual moving company not a broker. That was the first good sign considering all the moving brokers in the industry. The guys they sent were a delight to work with. They did everything they needed to do and even went above and beyond. I am happy that I found these guys and I would recommend them to anyone that's planning a move.

I am disappointed to say that the move from Illinois to Texas with International Van Lines was not a pleasant experience. In fact, if people knew how this move ended up, I doubt anyone would choose to use their services. When I researched this company, there were very favorable reviews. My representative, Glen was very attentive and helpful when he was trying to get my business and told me I could call him whenever and how often I needed to. He assured me that everything would be well taken care of and that on the other end the movers would put all of my items in the correct room and set up all of the furniture where I needed it. When this did not happen and I ran into issues, he stopped responding to me. I do not find this to be quality customer service. The original team that came to my Illinois house did a fantastic job. I could tell that they were professionals and knew what they were doing. At that point I felt confident that International Van Lines would take care of my items and get them to me safely in Texas. Getting a delivery date was difficult but I felt that it was to be expected so I was patient.
The delivery was a nightmare. Russ was the driver and told me he would me he would be at my house at 9:00 AM, when 10:00 came and went I reached out to him and he said he would be there by 11:00 AM. There were two men that moved my items into the house. I could tell right away that they were not professional movers as one fell when he was bringing my dining room table top in, fortunately he was not hurt but he dropped several things as he proceeded such as my sewing machine and a wheelbarrow full of items. They worked very hard for three hours bringing the items in. I notice as they were proceeding that many items were damaged and some were dirty. I pointed this out to Russ who did not seem to care and instructed me to just file a claim. When I asked the two men about removing the blankets and setting the furniture in place they told me that they were only being paid for three hours. I went to the driver, Russ and asked him about the set up and he assured me that it would happen. One of the workers asked him if he would be getting paid since it was over the three hour time limit, Russ said yes. The two men came back into the house and began working on setting up my broken china cabinet and thankfully setting up my bed. As they were doing so, I noticed that Russ and the moving truck were gone and when I pointed this out and asked if he was coming back the men had no idea. I texted Russ but got no response. The two men said they would stay and finish setting up my bed but then would have to leave. I paid them for their extra time but was left with all of my furniture still wrapped in the moving blankets and certainly not put in place as Glen had promised me.
I started assessing the damage and realized I had been duped into trusting International Van Lines to carefully move my belongings across the country. I am sorry that I chose this company as many of my things are gone now.

1.) One of the pedestals to my oak dining room table was damaged. The board that attaches the pedestal to the table top was snapped in half.
2.) One of my dining room chairs was damaged. The finish was ruined in several places exposing bare wood.
3.) My oak china cabinet had damage in several places and there was dirt all over it. The crown molding is torn off on one side and along the front it is just hanging there. The middle flat surface has been gouged and scratched and two of the cabinets are now missing their hardware.
4.) My dresser that was left on its side was damaged in the front, a piece of the trim was broken off.
5.) The condition of the boxes showed me that no attention was paid to the word FRAGILE written on them as many were torn all the way down and or crushed. I lost many of my dishes and glasses. (I have not opened my china yet because I am afraid of what I will find.) The dishes so for are a ceramic bowl, ceramic soup terrine, several rock glasses and ceramic plates of which cannot be replaced.
6.) The head of a lawn statue was broken off in a box clearly marked fragile.
7.) Several pieces of artwork were damaged including two charcoal drawings which cannot be replaced. Glass from their frames was shattered and then the pieces were ripped by the glass.
8.) The canvas on one of my patio chairs was ripped.
9.) My mattress was dirty even though I had wrapped it in plastic, the plastic had been ripped and no additional care was taken.

This is the 2nd time I used IVL so I felt I should leave a review. I'm a military brat and have moved over 14 times in my life. Needless to say that I am no stranger to moving or working with moving companies. I've had many good and many bad experiences working with moving companies. I decided on IVL because they maintain one of the best reputation in the industry. In my opinion they're one of the best moving companies out there. My sales rep Justin was so polite, not pushy at all and told me the honest truth about all possible scenarios, good and bad. The movers were fantastic and efficient. They were on time and very professional. I was so pleased with the move that I bought them all lunch, gave them some furniture and tipped them very well. I can't say enough good stuff about these guys and would 100% use them again if needed.

International Van Lines did a great job overseeing and performing my move from Salt Lake City, Utah to New York. We had them literally do everything from packing, loading, and crating. They also put everything away for us at destination which was a huge help. I've moved several time and this was one of the better experiences. I would totally use them again. If you're looking for a mover call Justin. He was very upfront, polite and did everything he promised to do.

I used IVL back in 2017 for a move to Los Angeles. I recently had to move back to NYC and decided on IVL again. This time there was a car and piano involved in the move. They sent a crew of 5 who did a great job packing & loading my goods. My car was shipped separately and made it to the destination a bit quicker so I had to coordinate properly. My rep Justin did a great job organizing everything for me. When my good arrived I checked everything for damage. There were a couple of small scratches, but nothing major. I didn't even bother file a claim. The crew that delivered was different than the pickup crew, but they equally did a great job. Their guys are hard working, honest and appreciated the tip I left them. Just wanted to stop by and leave my feedback. Anyone can contact me with any questions about my move.

I hired International Van Lines for an overseas move for my parents. The move was from Chennai, India to Austin, Texas. It was a very stressful experience trying to find a mover with this kind of knowledge. IVL came recommended by several consumer groups and maintains a good reputation so my comfort level was good with them. My sales rep Nico was very attentive to my needs and made sure all customs paperwork and documentation was done promptly. I have never worked with an international moving company before, but my experience with IVl was excellent and I would suggest them.

I had a difficult time finding a mover that could deliver to New Mexico promptly without being charged a ridiculous amount of money. I received several quotes from reputable moving companies and chose IVL because they gave me comfort. Unlike the other movers, I spoke with they did not try and pressure me to provide them with a deposit. In fact, my rep Alex did the opposite. He went over all scenarios, including worst case scenario which I appreciated. The pick up took place in Seattle and the entire move process took about a week. The guys that handled my move were very professional. They were timely, dressed well, clean truck and worked their tails off. I hope I never have to experience another move in my lifetime, but if I do I would consider International Van Lines.

I recently moved from Hemet, CA to Austin, TX to start a new job. It was a last minute move and I only had two days to do some research. International Van Lines was one of the suggested movers on several consumer websites so I gave them the business. I worked with a rep named Brian. Brian did a great job of getting things organized and done in a timely manner. They were able to pick up within 48 hours. Also, even with the short notice, they managed to perform very well. The crew was timely, efficient and very polite. I don't normally spend the time and leave reviews, but IVL deserves a quality rating. .

International Van Lines moved me to Utah. The move consisted of a 3 bedroom home and motorcycle. Packing was included and they did a fantastic job. The crew was timely, efficient and clean. They left no debris and arranged for a cleaning crew afterward. I've never worked with a full-service mover, but I am aware of what goes on. IVL was chosen based on their reviews and knowledge. My sales rep Justin was great at organizing and explaining the details. I would use them again if needed.
