Move distance 225 miles. Estimate for small move with no furniture or large items $1823. Actual cost over $5000. Showed up late at night to load truck. Coerced by driver to pay extra cash directly to him to “save money.” Shady as hell. Boxes arrived broken, crushed. Too many broken valuables to count. Missing a LOT of items. Repeated calls made trying to find missing items. They never get back to you after taking information. Now the phone number is temporarily out of order. DO NOT do business with this company.

I’m not big on reviews but I wanted to personally thank independent moving solutions for executing our move from NY to CA. It was a very stressful situation being that I had to start a new job in 30 days from our move date. But, I have to stay from start to finish Independent Moving Solutions got the job done and exceeded my expectations. Gabby and Nick in customer service were outstanding and Ray and Josh our account managers did an awesome job targeting the items that would need to go on the truck. I can’t thank these guys enough for everything they did for us.

Now I know it's common practice for the salesperson to bid very low even after walking through each room and I described our belongings in detail. So many extra charges and then everything was damaged on arrival.

Boxes all broken and torn. Lamps broken, mattresses stepped on ( bags torn off) . My stuff looked abused! Not to mention they wanted $1900 upon arrival since their HUGE 18 wheeler wouldn't fit near my garage. So many unforeseen costs. Robbery.

The moving company did a great job at creating a simple process for any long distance move. Last minute I ended up having a change in my final residence but it wasn’t a problem for the agent to assist me in reviewing my move. The price review was extremely convenient for me and helped me understand everything I needed to make my move as easy and simple as possible. The mover did a great job at packing and organizing my personal belongings into the moving truck and were surprisingly very polite and efficient while moving. If I had family or friends who are moving I would definitely recommend moving with independent moving solutions as they were reliable, well priced, and helpful.

Independent Moving Solutions is a great company. I never write reviews but I wanted to show my gratitude for all of there help moving my family and I from CA to NC. They went above and beyond to make sure our move went very smoothly.

I got a new job in NC and had to be there in 13 days. Independent Moving Solutions arrived on Saturday 7/1 right when they told us they would arrive. They have 5 crew with them because we had a 5 bedroom house. They started immediately and wrapped every piece of furniture that was going to be on the truck. It took them 3 hours to load up a 5 bedroom house. I was so impressed with these guys work within. They only took one break and didn’t break any items loading it on to the truck.

Fast forward 8 days. They arrived in NC with our load. Gabby and Nick in customer service did an outstanding job in keeping us informed with when our old was going to arrive. I thought it would at least take them two weeks to get our belonging to NC but they got it there in 5 with no damaged items. I was so impressed that I gave each crew member a $200 tip. Which they thanked me very much.

I would highly recommend if you have a long distance move in the near future to do yourself a favor and pay a little extra to hire this company. They are worth every penny it costs. Keep up the great work Independent Moving Solutions. You guys have a great organization with awesome people - make sure you take care of them!

Independent Moving Solutions is the best long distance moving company in the country. I had to be in NC with my items in ten days to start a new job. I was moving from California and was very stressed out because of all the moving parts. Ray and Josh helped me get my inventory strait and listed all the items. Gabby and Nick were very helpful in keeping me informed in the process on where my items were. I would highly recommend this company if you have a long distance move.

Worst moving company! Steve Jensen called in response to us looking for a moving company. We started a quote and agreed to set up our out of state move from Oregon to Idaho for April 15,2020. We agreed on my budget and had set everything up. When Todd Pierce Quality Assurance Director called confirm the move and space needed etc. he was very rude and didn’t listen to the items I was listing. He was rushing as if I was a burden customer. When the drivers showed up a day LATE and Hour after they called time! They spent 12hrs to load the truck. They spent the first few hours just walking around looking at stuff then used my packing tape, and packing wrap to wrap anything that needed it which they didn’t wrap my washer or dryer or couches!! They left a mess in our driveway when they dumped out my husbands toolbox (I had to hand pick up all the nails out of my driveway at 9:30pm after I got the baby to sleep!!) NO paperwork was given after they picked up our belongings. The next morning I received a text from the driver that at drop off I was to pay an additional $3553 when I called customer service Patti Collins she couldn’t tell me why this price was so high and would get back to me once they receive the invoice from the driver which she said they asked for ASAP. At drop off they didn’t stage anything they left a huge mess in our garage and trash in the yard and garage! No paperwork at drop off was given!! Nothing was taken care of! VERY DISAPPOINTED!! Do not use this company they over charge and don’t return calls back as I have called twice now leaving two messages for Patti in customer service to call me back and she hasn’t.

Do not hire Independent Moving company. They changed the price on my and almost doubled on the day I was supposed to move. It too them 21 days to deliver my stuff from Seattle to Las vegas. When delivered, almost all my furniture were damaged and chipped. Also, lost 3 boxes that contained all my kitchen stuff. After, calling them, they referred me to move claim WHICH IS A TOTAL SCAM asking for receipt and pictures and letters and etc. This is the worst moving experience I have ever had. Thieves, cheaters and scammers..that is all I can say..don't do business with this moving company.

I am writing to warn any readers to avoid this company at all costs, and I will continue to write at least weekly because this company adds their own reviews written by employees in order to hide the real reviews written by dissatisfied customers. This company is misleading, untrustworthy, and will scam you out of money and time. They attempted to charge more than $1000 over their original estimate, something that was supposedly a binding estimate that would not increase. If you have any problems with billing, the billing department only works through email and you will not be able to get a billing representative on the phone to speak with you. Every single thing this company does is designed to hurt you and exists only for their profit. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. If I could go back in time, I would, as they completely destroyed my experience moving from Iowa to Colorado.

The group that runs this "business" are among the most evil people I have EVER personally come across. After they picked up our items, and our online contract disappeared from their website, they began sharply raising the price of everything they'd previously told us, and they stopped answering our calls. We realized we'd been scammed.

Look up "moving company scams" on YouTube, and one of the first short videos that comes up is titled, "Ex-employee of alleged moving scam reveals new details." Independent Moving Solutions is exactly like the fraudulent company she is describing in that news report. My mind was blown that this can happen in our country, and your mind will be blown too.

First off, every five-star review you see, was written by one of their "employees," just like in the video. They employ maximum pressure on you to give them a deposit or you will not get the date you need, or the current "low rate." Then they give you a bunch of lies the day before your move to trick you into signing their digital "contract," which disappears from their website once they have your stuff. They have a huge deposit from you, and it's too late to get a new mover in time, so they KNOW they have you.

They say that your phone calls have been "recorded for quality assurance," but now you begin to realize what kind of people you are dealing with. After repeatedly promising that your move and storage rates would be no more than one price, their customer service team denies it all. They double or triple your bill, saying they'll "check the recordings and fix everything, IF the sales guy really said those things." They will never call you back about any of that.

At this point we read every last review on them, from several different websites. We learned about "rogue" mover fraud, and realized we had been scammed. Our stuff was now being held hostage for cash, or else they will auction off all your clothes, furniture, and memories. We learned that, just like in the news video, THIS company had formerly been at least two other corrupt moving companies which were shut down, including Merit Movers, and J & J Moore Nationwide Van Lines. Angry reviews for THOSE companies, feature the same 4 evil employees we have been dealing with, and there has been plenty of investigation into their fraudulent owners: Salvatore Viscount and Michael Korman.

We learned, that no STATE government agencies, including the police, will do anything about it, because our move involved more than one state. Your insurance company doesn't classify this as theft, so they don't have to cover your loss. Then there's the Department of Transportation and the FMCSA who are in charge of this type of crime.. According to them, there are dozens of rogue "companies" performing thousands of these hostage move scams per year. But their Federal team is simply NOT funded enough by Congress, to effectively go after anyone for these crimes.. So, you are on your own.

Many people never see their stuff again. Others pay the ransom (which must be in cash), only to find that their most valuable items have been stolen or damaged beyond salvage. Either way, expect a bunch of lies and tears.

The only piece of useful advice we received from government officials, is that if a person acts fast, they can contact their bank and maybe get some of the deposit back. We were told that if you write reviews, the movers will try to accuse you of check fraud, or say that you never answered your phone. Then, their employees will write a bunch of new, fake, 5-star reviews so YOURS will disappear from the front page. It will never be seen by their NEW victims. So if you've read this far, you were probably scammed too, and I wish I could have helped you.

I would like to thank Independent Moving Solutions for doing our move from FL to NJ. They were very professional and educated me on the entire moving process. Which can be very complicated. Our rep Collin was very helpful and Gabby and Nick in customer service did an outstanding job. I would highly recommend this company if you have an upcoming long distance move. They delivered on everything they promised. They even got our items to the destination 4 dash earlier then expected. We will absolutely be using them in future for our next move. Keep up the great work Independent Moving Solutions.

Where to being - this company exceeded my expectations and delivered on everything they promised to do for us. I was making a move last minute with my girlfriend because she was starting a new job. I was responsible for finding the moving company that was going to be doing the move. We first looked at Uhaul but it was $2800. The quote we received from Independent Moving Solutions was $4100 and they were going to everything for us. We had to leave NJ and needed our belongings on CA in 10 days. I wasn’t sure if they were going to be able to do that but man did they. They even got our items there in 8 days with no damages. If you need a moving Company last minute don’t look any further. This is one of the top companies in the country. Keep up the great work.

I’ve moved across country multiple times and had some horrific experiences. Independent made this move wonderful. I had contact with a representative there the entire time which was nice considering all the other times I moved I couldn’t get in touch with anyone nor did I know where my stuff was. Not the case here, I couldn’t move into my place before they delivered so independent stored my stuff for me and delivered it with no charge. First class service Jim and his team at pick up and delivery were fantastic. This will be the only moving company I will use from here on out.

We were so pleased with the services we received. We were in a bind as another company took our deposit and never answered the phone again. We had 3 days to get out of our home and we were beyond STRESSED. They were able to get a truck out the next day. They did a great job packing up our glass shelves and tables, they were fast and dilligent. We Were delivered in less than a week and our items were brought to us just how they left. This experience was perfect and we would recommend them to anyone moving out of state!

Moved across the country last minute for work and these guys made it so much simpler than I thought it was going to be. I appreciate them, they were quick, efficient and professional.from start to finish they kept the headaches to an absolute minimum, which was their main promise on our initial call. I understand there are a lot of moving pieces to hiring a moving company, but honestly these guys were great. I am hoping I do not find myself in this situation again, but if I do I have no reason to shop around I trust Independent, they have earned my business for life.

My girlfriend was moving and they were scheduled to be there between 12 & 2. They called and said they were running late and that they wouldn't be there until 2:00 at the earliest. When they were then 45 minutes late and she called, obviously upset, they completely cancelled the move and she was stuck trying to find a last minute Uhaul and people to help her move. All while I was out of town for work and unable to help. Do yourself a favor and hire a different company!

Had a very bad experience moving from Chicago to Florida. First off they are a broker and not a moving company. They outsource the move which was Trans World Van lines in my case. No need to call them when you can just deal with the big moving company directly. They claim they do all the leg work but as far as me filing claims and getting a moving date, you must call the big company and set that all up. When there is a problem like I had they pass the buck and do “their” part by putting you on hold and contacting the big moving company. I could have saved many headaches and issues by hiring directly from a major company. My quote was no where near the actual cost either. Triple the cost as a matter of fact. I’ve never had a major move and would expect them to at least explain to me weight, measurements, etc. Anyway please do your homework before hiring any “brokers” for any move. It’s easier to deal with one major company and cut out the middle man.

Booked with them to move to another state, and you get what you pay for. When I booked it was estimated almost $1,000 less than what I paid, and I was under the impression that they are the movers but they’re just brokers. They also promised my things would arrive on a date, but they arrived 2 weeks later. The company they paired me with was Fragile Moving and they sent sketchy people to pickup my stuff. One man even harassed me to tip him separately even though I told him I tipped beforehand to the head guy for all 3 of them. The same man left sun flower seeds all over my basement when packing up my stuff, and just seemed off like he was high. Then they held my stuff hostage for almost 2 weeks longer than what I was told. I had to buy an air mattress and other supplies since I didn’t have any of my stuff. Once my stuff finally arrived it was another company/truck, Budget. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 since the guys from budget were efficient and did a good job unpacking/carrying in my belongings. Do not recommend unless you have a low budget and a lot of patience. No one answers the phone for Independent moving either unless you harass them with emails and calls.
