Thanks Independent Moving Solutions for everything you did for my family during our move. A family member passed away in Texas and we needed to move to New York very quickly. Russell was able to get me a quote same day and we left our deposits to reserve the space on the truck. They drivers that showed up were very friendly and did a great job packing all of our items very securely. We took up more space on the truck then originally thought so it costs us a bit extra but we were ok with that because they did such a great job. They were able to get our items to New York in 10 days which was very impressive l. The drop off went as smoothly as the pick up. I would highly recommend this company if you have to make a long distance move anywhere in the country. Keep up the great work! We will be using this company again.

Thanks Independent Moving Solutions for all of your support during the whole moving process. This company is with out a doubt one of the top moving companies in the country. Our account manager was very helpful with gathering the entire inventory process. Gabby and Patti in customer service answered any and all questions I had about the process. They were very patient with me being that I was very stressful. Todd in quality assurance helped get our inventory exactly correct and made sure the right size truck was coming to pick us up. Their service is a bit expensive but you get what you pay for in this life. And they were worth every penny. I would highly recommend this company is you have to move anywhere in the near future.

At drop off there were no damaged items and everything went very smoothly. I suggest you use this company if you have any long distance moves coming up in the near future. You will be very happy.

Thank you Independent Moving Solutions and specifically Russ for all of your help during our move from CA to GA. I was relocating for a new job and had to be GA in 10 days with all of my belonging. Russ was very accurate with our inventory over the phone and explained in detail.. I must say. What the entire process would be like. Our movers were quick and efficient - they blanketed and pad wrapped all of our furniture. This defiantly wasn’t a cheap process but I can understand why it costs so much to move now across the country. These guys worked very hard. The drop off went just as smoothly as the pick up. I would highly recommend this company if you are moving anyone inside the USA.

I would not recommend this firm to anyone. I should have heed the warnings from the other bad reviews they received. They hounded us to get our business for days, then when we signed the documents, the issues started. We reviewed my inventory at least six times, but the mover they sub contracted to paid no attention to it. Wanted to increase my quote $2,000. Also, the mover was on his schedule, not mine. They asked for parameters and I gave them to them. They either did not show up and wanted to come 4 - 6 hours later, even late in the evening.

We fired the mover they first used, thought we got a better one, but that was not the case. Independent is a broker and does not use top notch movers. They don't care about schedules, inventories, being careful with your items, nor completely finishing a job.

If you are going to move, use a reputable firm such as Bekins, Mayflower, United. You will pay the same price, but with a much more professional result.

Do not give this company any money! They are COMPLETE SCAMMERS and essentially stole $580 from me. I made a deposit for a move and after reading some scary reviews of bad experiences online, I changed my mind called back to cancel. They told me over the phone and in an email that I had a 48-hour window to cancel to receive my fund deposit back. I canceled only two hours after making the initial booking but the company refuses to give me my money back. I have been repeatedly calling and emailing the company for over a month straight now. On the rare chance that I can actually get connected with them, they give me a different excuse (lie) each time about where my money is, when I'll get it back, why I can't get it back, they don't have any info, etc. I still do not have any credible information about how or when they plan to give me my deposit back and now they are pretending I didn't follow some kind of correct cancellation protocol so I can't get my money back. I have spoken to Todd, Pamela and Josh here and they have all given me the run-around. This company is completely shady. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY.

First off the company that I paid to move my stuff was independent moving solution. They ASSIGNED my move to another company called Macabee solutions. No big deal. It gets worse

My driver called to tell me to be at my new apartment and after canceling reservations at my hotel to be at the apartment between 1-4pm as stated I waited and when no one showed up I called to be spoken to by an aggressive rep who later apologized by telling me that my driver forgot to call me to tell me he couldn’t make it. I had to sleep on the floor.

It gets worse.

The driver arrived by himself and when I had asked him where the rest of his team was he told me he would be there and his partner would arrive to help with the bigger items. The other “guy” never arrived.

When he arrived my bike was missing a wheel, my expensive desk was chipped, my leather couch was scrapped, and my tv, and stand was missing pieces.

When I asked the mover about the damaged items he informed my original movers back in my hometown wrote on the checklist that I packaged all of the items myself that they were paid to packaged. They lied

It gets worse

I called my sales rep and he supposedly had been out if the office for weeks. No answering machine. Very odd.

Called Macabee customer support. No answer.

Save yourself the trouble. Find another company.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2500

BEWARE HORRIBLE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I find it very troubling that this company has not been investigated for fraud. Long story short, I called, they answered. The sales person quoted me a price which was cheaper than the other quotes I received, he then guaranteed a move date and a short window for delivery "guaranteed over the phone" took $1100 deposit to put me on the books. Fast forward a week I called them and e mailed with my final inventory list and the price jumped another $2000.00 I told them that's fine and paid another $460.00 deposit. The pick up date came and went so I called the next day and was told that I was on the books and they don't get updated final pick up till 5pm from the movers (mind you this is the day they were supposed to be there) the next day I recurved a shady call from someone stating they "may" be able to do a pick up the following week after I was already supposed to be moved and out of my house, they then told me that I would not receive my delivery for 3 weeks to a month when I was GUARANTEED a 5 day delivery from time of pick up. However if I pay them another $1000.00 cash I could get it within a week "possibly" I told them no that I was not willing to do that as I had a uncomfortable feeling. I told them I will try to get ahold of independence moving solutions for further guidance. I called no one called me back, I then e mailed them telling them the move was off as I have no movers to handle it. A few days later as I was on the road to my new home, I called and reached a manager. She stated that I cancelled my contract and therefore relinquished my $1500 deposit. That is NOT true, the movers cancelled by not showing up, independent moving solutions cancelled by not calling me or scheduling a move on the date scheduled. She was very rude and unprofessional, I actually have never dealt with someone so unprofessional in my life, she then hung up on me. I called back a few days later to try to get my deposit back and spoke to a woman who told me accounting will deal with it and wait a week. I waited no call back no e mail, I then called and spoke to a man who was extremely rude and at one point said "why would I give you your deposit back when making me mad was so much fun" he then said that again the "he enjoyed my anger" at that point I realized they actually are legal thieves and purposely take advantage of unsuspecting clients. They have a racket going and all the other reviews confirm that, after investigation the positive reviews are no more than the same people writing reviews under different names. Thank god the movers tried to scam me before they picked up my stuff or I would be in a lot more of a mess and out a lot more money then I already am. These people need to be investigated before they hurt more people and take more money. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE. They will hold you, your stuff and your money hostage.

Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value

We did a move from IL to Texas, and have had a horrible experience. The cost was 3x more then our quote, the moving company they sent was 5 hours late, they charged us to wrap our furniture which we were told would be free, now no one is returning or answering calls for us to pay our bill and give address to transport to Texas. We have also got the run around every time we spoke to someone the first week of 3 different names to send the money to, the last one is a random name being sent tbrough Zelle. This is not the way to run a business or to use " we are a veteran ran business " to get families screwed out of thousands of dollars and keep blaming the 3rd party moving company. I will not recommend this company to anyone that is moving.

This company is only a broker. They only take orders (and a commission on them). I should have seen through the broker Christopher Cole who broke almost all his promises. His biggest promise was the cost and delivery date. Of course the cost was higher and the date was a week later. Their customer service never answers the phone and most of the time they don’t return messages. Patty Collins in CS knew the moving company had not delivered 10 of my items but never returned my calls.

Ultimately, they brokered out my move to Continental in Dallas (214.900.8655) who then subcontracted Meca Transportation Services located in Johnson City, Tennessee to move my items. Meca never once returned my calls during the move or after they shorted me 10 items. I believe they stole them because they were some of my newest and nicest items. The owner Martins and his brother Frank were contacted at 423.747.9800 to inquire about my stolen items. As I said they never answered me for any reasons.

Continental said they had no control or responsibilities for Meca stealing my items. However, they gave me a claim website and my job number to input along with the move particulars. I filled the claim form out only to get a message later that my information does not match their data base- whatever that means. I called back and they said the owner would investigate and call me back. Ok - drumroll- he never called me back. I know you are now shocked by this.

In conclusion, if you want a price that will be higher than the estimate, a blown delivery date window, damage to your goods and steal your best items, you have found your moving service.

I was an idiot to contract them but now I’m trying to spare you.

Nothing but a broker.. Had a last minute change in schedule and called these guys on a Wednesday.. The "salesman" on the phone said he could get my contents on a truck heading to Florida, going straight to my area, on Friday.. Said very clearly he already had one lined up and all I had to do was sign up. I fell for it, and then they suddenly didn't know when the pickup would be.. Friday turned to Saturday, turned to Sunday. (I told the first person I had to be in Florida Monday for a meeting)

Sunday at noon I called and was told that they may have someone there in the evening "around" 5 pm to load up but couldn't tell me who of for sure what time. When I asked when my things would arrive at my home I was told sometime within 2 weeks, but not sure when.

Since it was a short time from booking to pickup I wasn't allowed to cancel, even though their whole sales pitch was a load of crap from the beginning. Ended up having to pay for nothing, (because if you don't actually do anything you have to have Iron Clad Contracts for people to sign) rented a truck on my own, and had to drive it down myself with my toddler and wife following behind..

Save your money and make sure the company you hire actually has trucks and employees.. expensive lesson learned here.

Independent Moving Solutions rep Eric Katz was all about getting the contract and deposit and calling me regularly. I was assured that he would be with me every step of the way. I paid a deposit and scheduled a date for pickup. The company called a day early for pickup, I told them they couldn't pickup until the next day which was the scheduled date. On October 26, 2020 an Enterprise truck showed up to load my furniture in Gilbert,Az. The name of the company on the invoice was Konami Moving and Storage. They have locations in Denver, CO and Las Vegas, NV. They asked what the earliest day they could deliver and I told them October 30, 2020. The next day I got in my car for the 4 day trip to Atlantic Beach, Florida the destination of my move. On October 29, 2020 I began to call Independent Moving Solutions for an update on my delivery and suddenly can't get anyone to answer the phone. When I finally did a day later I find out there is no Eric Katz and they have no update on my furniture. I then began to call Konami Moving and storage. I spent 20-30 minutes on hold only to get a recording and leave a message response. When someone did finally answer I was told that my furniture was in storage in Las Vegas, NV and they are waiting for a truck to come to Florida. They said by law they have 7-21 days to fill the manifest. I asked if that meant I would receive my furniture 21 days from the original delivery date of October 30, 2020. I was told no they don't know when they will have a truck, any other questions I asked they had no answer for. It was like they were reading from a script. I have paid a total of $1600 so far and am to pay them $868 upon delivery. I am a 68 year old lady currently sleeping in an empty apartment on an air mattress since October 30th. My whole life of memories and pictures are in that truck. Please help me get my stuff back. I do not have the funds to buy new furniture or to replace lifelong memories.

The date for pick up had to change a few times because of bad weather -- no problem. However, when I was finally given a date and time, it was wrong. When it came to delivery, I was given an estimate and arranged for someone to be there. Delivery was actually made FOUR days later with no notice. We were then charged $100 an hour extra while a friend scrambled to get there. The final bill ended up being $800 over the estimate! Lastly, I haven't finished unpacking yet, but several pieces of furniture are broken.

I literally called in less than 2 hours to stop contract and ask that I get a 48 hour grace period on my quote. Even though I was told by “Josh” and the customer service that they would put a hold on the transaction they took my $$$$$ anyway. Not only did they take my money but they won’t return my calls. I spoke to “Josh Miller” once since they took my $$$$$. He promised me he would call me back in 10 minutes to resolve the issue. He also hung up on me claiming that he had “ bad signal” and couldn’t hear me clearly. Clearly that’s a ploy. None of their 24 hour customer service numbers are working and nobody has returned any of my emails or phone calls. They are SCAMMERS. It’s a pandemic and people’s financial situations are in dire straits. To take advantage of someone who is clearly in need at a time like this is behind disgusting. Do not use this business, they aren’t a business they are a front. Never in my life have I ever been taken advantage of like this. Please report them and get them taken out of business. They are the absolute WORST experience I’ve ever had. DO NOT USE THEM.

Don't dare use Independent Moving Solutions! RIPOFF ARTISTS!

This is a review against Independent Moving Solutions (IMS) for failing to follow through on their contract. This is a moving company that has scammed many of clients. They took my money and then hired another moving company to pick up and deliver my goods, some of which are deeply personal being from my deceased father and sister.

It's been over 3 1/2 months since I moved from San Francisco to Wisconsin to be with my elderly mother who recently suffered from a stroke. I hired IMS to move

$10,000 worth of my furniture and personal belongings and nothing has been delivered.

As of today’s date (12/20/20) I have received none of furniture and personal belongings. Including paintings my deceased sister made for me.

They brokered my move out to Konami Moving & Storage who picked up my furniture and personal belongings on 9/2/2021 from my home in San Francisco, CA supposedly to be delivered to my new home in Milwaukee, WI. Again, the furniture and personal belongings have not been delivered as of 12/20/2020. The contract states that they have 30 business days to deliver from pickup date. They have never contacted me or answered my calls since picking up my belongings. Neither company responses to calls or emails.

This situation has cost me financially as I have had to purchase/replace necessary items to work from my home, to sleep, for my health and other basic needs such as clothing. It has also cost me emotional distress and has distracted me from helping to take care of my 93-year-old mother. I have spent innumerable hours on the phone and with emails trying to resolve this matter with both IMS and Konami. I have been placing on hold many times for 40-50 minutes at a time and then hung up on

After getting a quote and paying a deposit, another rep called me a few days before pickup and increased my price by over $1000. I had to cancel my scheduled move. They were rude and tried to lecture me when I was cancelling. They tried to deny me a refund, till I pointed out that it was within the 48hrs so I'm entitled to a refund. They agreed to give me 90% of my deposit. It has been almost a month and I haven't received it yet. They don't respond to emails and when I call they give me the same runner around about it being processed.

Stay Away!!

Do not ever use this company associated with Michael Korman or his associates. A complete scam and a waste of your money, like all the other reviews of them breaking your stuff and stealing your money---its the exact kind of person he is. He will run straight with your money to blow it on him or the strip club he frequents to pick up whatever scum of the earth he can. He's that kind of low life. Save your money and use someone reliable---someone less trashy and knows how to have integrity. This kid is a KID and a waste of space.
