Long-distance move from Kentucky to California

DISHONEST BUSINESS

Booked with them Wednesday January 17 around 10:30am. Needed to move property from my deceased father's home to our home several states away and didn't need this to happen until the end of February. Was reassured by Jen Ryan that I had 48 hours to cancel. Later that day I read enough horrible reviews calling this company "Scam Artists" and "Crooks" that I became very alarmed and sent an email toJen saying I wanted to cancel and get a refund. Today I was told by their very aggressive manager that they had booked a carrier and I didn't qualify for the refund. When I asked to speak with Jen Ryan, I was told that I wasn't allowed to speak with anyone else. There is no proof (time stamp, receipt) of them actually booking a carrier more than a month in advance of our needing to move. They are keeping $1,134.00 and have done NOTHING. This is fraud! They eesentially have our routing number and account number and have stolen our money. I have contacted our bank to dispute the transaction. My bank is now investigating them. Basically GulfStream says you have 48 hours to cancel and get a refund but actually there is no legitimate canceling with them because they can claim they have already disatched a carrier (6 weeks in advance) and therefore you forfeit your money. I would be happy to reconsider this review if they would simply do the right thing and refund my money. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A REAL MOVING COMPANY USE UHAUL, PODS OR U-PACK. STAY AWAY FROM BROKERS LIKE THESE PEOPLE. This company used to be Relocation Nation, they change the name yearly so the complaints and lawsuits don’t catch up with them. But they’ve screwed over thousands of people, employees included. They would scam employees out of thousands of dollars on their paycheck because of cancellations because of their negative reviews and their inability to run a company. They need to be shut down for good! they target old people and disabled people with little to no money and then up charge them thousands of dollars and then half of their stuff goes missing! If you want to know who you’re dealing with the Owners name are Todd Toddaro (Bradley), Gabby Klyotskin(Olivia Reese)and Sal.

Worst moving company ! Don’t use!

This company will tell you it’s one price and then they’ll call back and quote you and it’s thousands of dollars more then they are not the ones to pick up your items. They transfer you over to Relo Van lines which comes to pick up your items and then Presise delivers them, and guess what I have still not received all of my items. No one will pick up the phone and talk to you. The gentleman that delivered. My items told me that three or four my boxes were sitting at a ladies house in Iowa and I have a box of hers, but I have no idea how to get in touch with her. One item was broke and he told me the wood glue it back together. I’ve tried to reach out on numerous occasions no one will pick up the phone. No one will answer emails there’s no way to file a claim you cannot do anything you are just burned do not use Gulf stream or Rolo or Presise. You will be very sorry we don’t even have our silverware delivered. It took over a month to even get our things delivered. We have lost very precious items. Go with the moving company if you’re going to do it and pay for a reputable one, not these people!!!

They say you have 48 hours to cancel. We canceled less than 24 hours. They claimed they had already booked a subcontractor to move our property at the end of February which meant we lost our $1134.00 deposit. Jen plays the good cop. Olivia Reeves plays the ball busting bitch. This company makes their money from deception. Any positive or glowing review is AI generated and not legitimate. DO NOT HIRE!!!!!

Gulf Stream Van Lines

We contracted Gulf Stream to arrange our move. Turns out GS is a broker that arranges moves. East Coast Van Lines (AKA Always Affordable Moving & Storage) showed up on 1/9/24 for our Florida move. Igor of East Coast increased cubic feet of our belongings from 282 to 600. I had no way to verify that. He was driving a Sprinter van with a U-Haul trailer attached. The price increased from $2500 to $4700 (88%!). He assessed a $600 “packing fee”, which consisted of assembling 6-8 packing boxes, but no actual packing.

The truck departed for NJ on the afternoon of 1/9/24. Our furniture was not delivered until 1/23/24 (14 days). We were told verbally by one of Gulf Stream staff that the delivery would take “3-5 days or up to 10 depending on the weather”. 14 days is well beyond 10.

It’s 1400 miles from Cohoes, NY to Sunrise FL. I know drivers are allowed to drive up to 11 hours per day. Even at an average of 50 miles per hour, they could cover 550 miles in a day. That would mean less than 3 days for a 1400 mile trip.

The delivery crew of 2 were fast and efficient. Apparently, Sergei, the gentleman in charge was not trained by Igor, as he did not try to inflate the price.

Note that we did sustain damage to a genuine oak dresser (not Ikea junk), which was shipped on its side, and arrived

wet and warped.

Though we packed our belongings ourselves and drove the truck ourselves, they still took great care to make sure the truck was loaded properly. Our movers were careful, polite and professional. Don’t believe the 5 start reviews. They’re fakes. Look on yelp. They’ll tell you one price and have you pay with a check then double it a couple days before the move. You can’t dispute a check with the bank.

Gulf Stream Van Lines staff was excellent in every way. They alleviated what could have been a very difficult situation. The actual task was moving my bulky exercise equipment, and I was pleasantly delighted to find that they packed everything carefully and transported it in sturdy moving boxes.
