Gouffon Moving & Storage

Have never used a moving company before. Had nothing but an absolute great experience and will recommend them for anyone needing a mover for what ever reason. Very professional, careful not to damage my belongings or the house I had just sold with freshly painted walls. All three men were extremely careful with my furniture and were also aware of placing the items inside my new home.  I was very happy with Gouffon, and certainly will use them again. Great job from the communication from the office right down to the driver who carefully parked the truck as to not damage the trees at the curb that were actually in the way of the moving truck. Thanks to all at Gouffon!

As we prepared to relocate from E TN to Western NC I was set on using Pods and packing/loading our household goods myself.  We had been through 6 moves in 35 years as an employee of the Government and I was well vered at what needed to be done to pack and load to prevent damage.  As the date got closer, I began to have second thoughts and my wife began searching for moving and storage companies in the area.  I contacted several in TN and NC and finally reached the folks at Gouffon in Knoxville.  From the initial discussion of our needs by phone to the site visit by the estimator to the loading crew on moving day, through three months of storage and finally the delivery of our almost 10,000lbs of stuff, the entire team at Gouffon was simply amazing.  Blake was great to work with, always available with answers to questions and very good at allaying the usual concerns that come with any move.  The crew that packed our stuff into the storage crates on the trucks were excellent, taking great care to wrap everything to protect them from damage in transit and storage.  They had a great attitude and worked very well as a team.  Coordinating the delivery was easy and even when there was a probelm in getting the trucks up to our new home on a steep, mountain road, the crew remained calm, made some calls and quickly arranged for a rental truck to shuttle our things up to the house.  They maintianed a great  attitude thoughout the long day.  Chris was exceptional to deal with following delivery of our goods when we discovered some minor damage to some of our things.  He processed our claim quickly and efficiently and all of the items were repaired and back in use within two weeks.  This was definitely one of, if not the best, most stress free moves we have ever experienced and it is due entirely to the professionalism of the employees and managers at Gouffon Moving and Storage in Knoxville.  Should we ever need a mover again, we would not hesitate to call on Gouffon to take care of the task, they are the best in the business!!

This was our first move in 10 years and we have accumulated a great deal of "stuff" . The entire process from the estimate to the guaranteed pricing, and the entire move went flawlessly. The crew was very courteous, prompt, professional and worked well together. We enjoyed talking with them and they did a great job of being careful with our belongings and my wife's numerous antiques.   Not looking forward to another move anytime soon, but when we do, we will call Gouffon.

It is apparent when you work with their moving crews (and I have worked with 3..so far) that Gouffon has very tough hiring practices..they hire only the best.  These guys are really good at what they do and are also good at beng warm, conversational and friendly..something you don't find with many other moving company crews (and I should know:  we've moved 14 other times in our careers).   Never have we had any problems with Gouffon.  In fact we have had good suggestions from them before, during and after the moves. I suggest Gouffon to others and will continue to do so.  In fact I have just asked them, and received, an estimate for a cross-state move that, hopefully, will happen within a month or two.

Guffon Moving and Storage stayed in constant communication with me through out my move.  Blake, Chris and Connie were always very friendly and answered any questions that I had.  I was picked up in Tennessee at the exact time I was quoted and handled my belongings very carefully.  Connie called me two days before my delivery to give me an ETA on my delivery.  Again, right on time.  Keith and his helper were very professional in setting up my furniture exactly where I wanted it and before leaving asked if they could do anything else for me.  If I should ever move again, I would use Gouffon again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a well established moving company.  My thanks to Chris, Blake, Connie and Keith for a happy move.                                                                      Jim Nugent.

I had never moved to another area of the state, much less to another state entirely.  But this time I was moving 500 miles away to Maryland.  From the start, everyone I spoke with at Gouffon Moving & Storage was helpful, professional and courteous.  I especially appreciated Chris Kirkland explaining the things to be aware of when considering a moving company.  I will definitely recommend Gouffon to anyone who needs their services and I will use them again for my next move.
