Two storey house moving

The guys were great! The best movers I've ever had. We moved with them from one to another. They arrived early and got right to work. The whole move took about 6 hours, which is pretty fast. They worked efficiently and were safely. They took great care of everything and were very easygoing. I was very satisfied with the service. This will be the only company that I call for any future moves.

GetMovers arrived on schedule and ready to work. Nick, Alex were able to accommodate all requests! Efficient and very professional. We moved our 2bedroom house withing Richmond Hill, ON and needed manpower and a moving truck. It’s was a seamless process given we are in a pandemic. The moving team was on time and super careful to not touch a wall when carrying furniture in. I would highly recommend them and would love to work with them again!

Great and efficient moving team from GetMovers Newmarket. Michael and Victor arrived on schedule with packing and moving equipment like blankets, wrap, boxes, etc. They did a great job handling all items with care and got everything done in under five hours. Our belongings were wrapped and transported carefully without a damage or scratch. The guys also installed some furniture and gave further recommendations, which was very helpful and so kind from their side! Totally satisfied with their job! Highly recommended.

House Moving in Innisfil

GetMovers has moved us twice. This time we called them for a local move within Innisfil. They were on time, professional, and respectful. Much better than my experience with other moving companies. I thought it was going to take 3 hours or so to pack everything and load the truck, but it was done in under 2 hours! Once we reached the new house, they asked lots of questions, making sure everything went into the proper room. I will use them again if I ever move! I'd give them 10 stars if I could. Thank you!!

Everything from scheduling to the move itself went so smoothly. The crew of Andrew and Joe was here on time, very nice, professional, clean in his work, and did an amazing job! Apartment Moving

I have used GetMovers several times in past year and this time hired them for an apartment move. They always send skilled and strong people who I feel I can trust. From the beginning of the quote request to the move itself, quality of service and communication was amazing. Carlos, Greg, and Drew did a great job with our move within Edmonton. Had to get moved into my new apartment in Mississauga this past weekend, and I could not be more pleased with how smoothly and easy the move went! Sean, Jordan, and Anar really went above and beyond with hard work and professionalism. They wrapped all the furniture and boxed my smaller stuff, moved everything to the apartment, and helped us set it up in just a little over 6 hours! They were absolutely phenomenal 5 out of 5 stars! Totally recommend!

What a fantastic company! I've hired them for my last 3 moves and have been thrilled every time. Most recently, we had Jack and his team - they moved our 3 bedroom house with just 6.5 hours. All with a smile on their face! Their guys work hard and are very careful with our possessions. They charge less than any other company I've researched and have great customer service! Cannot recommend highly enough.

RUN!

Get Movers has zero integrity and absolutely DESTROYED our belongings. Throughout the entire process, the customer service representatives, on site crew members, as well as company supervisors intentionally misguide customers and then do not return calls/emails. A complete failure in customer support. The company was notified that there was a fight between the crew members at origin that resulted in our belongings being thrown from the truck in a dispute based on lack of loading experience. The crew arrived completely unprepared with limited packing supplies and asked the customers to supply packing wrap. Not to mention the cigarette burns in our couch cushions from the crew smoking in the truck. The crew mentioned the truck from not packed properly and that he would better wrap our belongings once unloaded at the warehouse so that they could be better protects while in storage; however, this never happened. Absolutely zero respect. Completely unprofessional. The crew leader as well as a company supervisor was made aware of the damages as they were inspected and unloaded from the truck at the destination. The crew was late. We were told that there was nothing Get Movers could do because the office was closed, but don’t worry since they have insurance, and to call customer service the following morning at 10AM for further instruction rather than directing us to the proper company protocols. Get Movers said we never notified the company of any damages, which ultimately resulted in our claim being denied. The allegation that we did not notify the company of damages is absolutely false as the mishandling, lack of care and respect for our belongings was acknowledged by customer service from the point of origin. This company is untrustworthy.

Nighmare to use their service

Dear Officer,

I hope this email finds you well.

I am writing this email to get compensation for Mental & Physical Harassment given by Get Movers to me, my wife and my 2 young daughters ages 7 and 4.

I request for at least $10,000 as compensation for the harassment & stress they have given to my family and especially my young kids on a new place. We have been experiencing sleepless nights & our work suffered a lot in last 1 month due to this company. Which is a direct monetary loss to my family.

I request to instruct this company to deliver my items as soon as possible.

I also request to penalize this company for whatever they have done with my family so that they don't dare to repeat such things in the future.

I booked their service to shift my personal items from Edmonton, AB to Brentwood Bay, BC as I was shifting here for my wife's job. This Company promised to deliver my stuff from 3 to 21 days from the date of pickup which is clearly mentioned in their email (Attached Full Conversation PDF - check page 2). Read this complete Email conversation to get an idea about their conduct.

There was no point in buying my stuff again when I am paying so much to this company to deliver the same stuff. Due to their delay, they forced me to buy many items when they didn't deliver items and didn't give me any reply to my emails to get any update about the transportation. We never knew that a company with 4.6* rating on Google can give us a nightmare & can be so irresponsible and emotionless.

I have faced so many issues with GetMovers since beginning, like -

Delayed Service - Today, 31 days are over and I haven't got my delivery even after their commitment to deliver stuff between 3 to 21 days from the date of pickup. I am living in a new place without my mattresses and other essential stuff for past 31 days. I never knew that 3-21 days means after 31 days.

Highly Unresponsive - I am emailing them and not getting any update on the delivery. They don't even know where is my stuff or they don't wanna share it. They don't even reply to email. (Check Full email conversation to get an idea about it). When I called them after 10 days the lady on call said that call after 21 days and she can't give any update before 21 days. They haven't shared the location of my stuff even after 31 days but they sent me the full bill to schedule my delivery. I didn't get any response after that about the location of my stuff as they didn't clear neither on email or on call.

Blackmailers - Even after the finalization of quote with them in writing & after advance payment, they said that I need to pay $100 extra for the Ferry. They told me that if I don't agree with the increased fee then they will refund the advance and I need to find a new service. Just a day before the pickup date, they blackmailed me to agree to pay extra money beyond our contract by threatening me to Cancel the service and even after taking advance payment. This is just one-sided contract that clients are bound to honour & this company can dishonour anytime. I don't know how companies get these types of guts to loot clients this way.

Overall, it is the worst experience till now and I don't know if they will deliver the stuff or not. I don't even know when they will deliver the stuff. With the experience till now, I don't have any confidence in the company at all.

ZERO STARS. PATHETIC SERVICE. NIGHTMARE.

ZERO STARS. DO NOT EVER USE GETMOVERS.CA. THEY WILL RUIN YOUR PEACE OF MIND, RUIN YOUR FURNITURE, LOOT MONEY AND PROVIDE POOREST SERVICE.

I USED THEIT MOVING SERVICE IN JULY 2023 FROM MISSISSAUGA TO KITCHENER IN ONTARIO AND THE EXPERIENCE WAS A NIGHTMARE.

1. The driver could not arrive at the location and cannot use a GPS properly. They passed by my residence and yet went 3 blocks away and called me saying they arrived. I was standing outside my building in the middle of the road to give them directions and they could not even speak or understand English instructions. They were unable to describe their intersection and unable to give clear direction in English. They wasted 40 minutes there.

2. We packed everything sturdily and labelled clearly what items are fragile, which side is up and what needs to be carefully handled. They did not even bother to see the instructions and handled every box very roughly holding anything upside down. Even the costly leather couch was very roughly handled.

We had to repeatedly mention for each and every item to handle properly or wrap it or blanket it, and they still damaged items. Our furniture was stepped on and broken. The broken table with boot print marks on top was heartbreaking to see. Why on earth did they use our furniture as a step stool. What professional does that???

3. After unloading, they did not unwrap the items. Also, they just dropped the boxes marked as fragile on floor from a height instead of placing them gently. We are yet to open all boxes and see what other damages has been caused inside.

I'm glad i did not use your packing service too. Otherwise the move would end in a disaster.

4. They did not unwrap anything and just left in a hurry, because they wanted to run before we see or notice the damage. They stepped on some of the furniture and even broke a tv table and tore a mattress. Photos attached.

5. After the payment was done, they just delayed purposely for more than 30 mins just to complete the time. They only had one last trolley with boxes and they took very long. So they charged me for more time.

6. They did not care to wrap properly and also did not use blankets for most of the items.

This is very disappointing experience even after paying so much of our hard earned money. On phone calls while booking and also at confirming one day before, you mentioned twice that you will take care of the items and wrap them with care. But in reality it did not happen. Everything was carelessly and roughly handled.

After making multiple calls all this they asked to raise a claim and after I submitted the claim with photographs all damages worth more than $3000, they rejected it saying you already signed a form. I signed that form for payment before 45 mins of completion of unloading as per their terms before booking. Now they are showing this form and saying claim is rejected.
