Long-distance move from Illinois to Maryland

The WORST company ever, period.

Well, I will add my voice to the hundreds out there, this is the absolute company [of any kind] that I had to deal with. Bunch of liars and scammers especially Brain Ross. I would've paid extra and hire a professional company that treat its customers well and honor it's commitments. Notice that in their website they're showing only 5-star ratings, yeah that's believable! To show that they're only after profits, they have their drivers hire helpers from the streets and pay them cash, so you can get a convict, a rapist, or a serial killer as your muscle man. When they finally delivered my goods 4 days late, the driver had told me that he hired his three helpers from Baltimore and guess what, they were DRUG ADDICTS [between breaks, they were smoking pot in the car]. How professional is that? So I clearly didn't feel comfortable having these guys unwrap everything even though I paid for it. To make matters worst, I paid a surcharge to get the truck weighed before and after the loading, guess what, it wasn't done and contacted crooked Brian countless times and the company but nothing was done. So they finally decided to weigh a random truck after I filed a BBB complaint, what an awful company this is, unbelievable. I filed a claim for a broken cordless vacuum and I got about $15.00 to replace it, yes because they a bunch of crooks and I later found out that couple of items are MISSING, completely. To make matters worst, they never admit mistakes and take responsibility they just LIE and LIE and LIE. This is an advise to every one needing a move, DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY, YOU'LL REGRET IT, PAY MORE AND BE TREATED LIKE A CUSTOMER.

Terrible Experience - Items Stolen.

Do NOT use EZ Movers. We paid $1300 for them to move us and ended up losing thousands of dollars more in valuables that will never be replaced. The manager, Steven, hung up on me after I tried to discuss with him. They did not return one of the 6 calls I was told I'd receive over a week and has since accused me of lying about 6 boxes being missing. Terrible business.

Due to moving on one of the busiest days in Chicago and calling almost 10 companies before this one, we went with EZ Movers despite the many negative reviews. We needed help moving our stuff and didn't know what else to do.

Even if you're in a similar situation, do NOT use this company. Listen to the reviews.

SIX BOXES full of our valuables were stolen during the move due to the negligence of the movers. The truck was parked in an alley in Chicago, and the movers did not find it necessary to watch the truck filled with our valuables and left it unlocked with all doors wide open. When finished, the movers spent about 15 minutes looking for a missing dolly. Hmmm..that's interesting..where did the dolly go? And what else could possibly be missing? Due to the movers not counting the number of boxes we had, how could we know.

We did not realize items were missing until we began unpacking after they had left, and apparently at that point, according to EZ Movers, they are no longer liable if you realize anything is missing after they have left.

Now, the best part of all is that Steven, their manager, is saying that he doesn't believe me and thinks I'm lying about boxes full of our valuables being missing. Why would I choose to call repeatedly and get ignored and yelled at unless I actually wanted to find a resolution to this unfortunate reality?

Don't put yourself in a position to end up like us. Extremely upset about your belongings being stolen. Now having to deal with a company who is not interested in remedying the situation at all.

Moving in itself is stressful enough. Stay away from EZ Movers.

RUDE DRIVER and Terrible Service.

Do not hire this company. The driver contracted to drop off our stuff yelled and screamed at us over the phone because he took the wrong route and is over the weight limit. We later learned that his truck broke down - my assessment - his truck broke down and he is trying to get us to cover the costs. Since when is a customer responsible for mapping out the right truck route??

Not "E-Z" At All. Not handled "lightly as a feather". Crooks. Thieves.

Not "E-Z" At All. My belongings were not handled "as lightly as a feather". They're a bunch of crooked, dishonest thieves who will waste your time and money and will damage or lose your belongings.

E-Z Movers ranks as probably one of the worst moving companies I've ever dealt with, and I've done a lot of moves (over 10 in the last decade). Generally, I've noticed that most movers are already pretty bad, but this one was on the lower end of the "bad" spectrum.

E-Z movers ended up charging me an additional $2,000 (TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS) over their original quoted price (which was already $5K!). That's an additional 40% of the original quoted price. Honestly, I've NEVER dealt with a moving company that insists on charging you extra because they cannot fit THEIR vehicle onto your property. My move was multi-part, and this happened at almost all locations. Never was I warned of this beforehand either. Instead, I was forced to pay the extra $2K so they could rent another truck that would actually fit onto the street or into my apartment's parking lot. Um, wasn't it THEIR responsibility to take care of this out of the $5,000 I already paid them?? I felt like my things were being held hostage by the drivers unless I paid them the ransom!

Secondly, they were LATE to deliver my things. I had just started my new job, and the late delivery interfered with my work schedule. Here I was waiting around for my things for ONE WHOLE MONTH. I moved to my new apartment May 1st and was ready for my things at any time during the month of May. Instead, they come on June 5th! And to add insult to injury, I had called them 2-3 times before that to ask for an update, and they were LESS than helpful. No communication with the dispatcher, no specifics given to me, and not even any reassurance that they were going to be on time. Sure enough, my suspicions were confirmed, and they were late.

Third, the movers at my pickup location were incredibly rude. I tried to tell them which items were deceptively heavy and fragile, and to be careful. All I got was a grimace and "I know" or something to that effect. Next thing I know, I stand with jaw agape while one of them literally rolls my aquarium stand up the ramp into the truck. What were they thinking?? Too late for me to say anything. That's a two-person job, guys! Just ask your helper to help carry it up. There are two of you. Simple as that!

Finally, when all was said and done, all of my furniture was damaged, completely scratched up, or otherwise lost altogether. My aquarium tank bottom fell out, my nightstands were irreparably crushed, my lampshades broken, my glass lamps scratched, and my screws and small items lost. I've estimated close to $1,000 in damages or losses. And while I haven't filed a claim yet (because of a technical error on THEIR END that doesn't allow me to add items to the claim form), I can pretty much bet I'd be lucky to get 20% of the total value since they only provide $0.30 to $0.60 per pound of insurance.

Want to waste a LOT of TIME and MONEY, and want your belongings to be RUINED or LOST? I didn't think so. "E-Z does it" and AVOID E-Z movers at all costs!

Long-distance move from Chicago, IL to Louisville, KY

Hidden fees.

They quoted us $2400 but then when the movers arrived the price suddenly is $1000 more but I assume this will be the end of the surprise charges. The delivery is suppose to happen 4 days later since I'm only moving 4 hours away but no it takes the full 10 days! On delivery day, they need an additional $511 when I paid in full already. Of course, the dispatcher knows nothing.

Long-distance move from California to New York

Worst customer experience.

I used this company despite the previous bad reviews but wow, their customer service could not have been worse.

(1) The agent knows nothing, particularly the one I worked with. The guy has absolutely no idea what's going on and will never give you a straight answer. For example, when I requested to know an estimated date of delivery he said he could not provide me with one and referred me to the driver instead. Isn't the point of having a central coordination agency to be able to provide that information to customers?
(2) The customer service reps are awful - one of the ladies hung up the phone when I asked for more information. Seriously?
(3) Hidden charges all around -- I mean, come one. You're a moving company, you're presumably doing this hundreds of times and at the end of a move you charge $XX more citing XX reason? Did you not know that you would need additional labor upfront when you discussed the details of the move with me?

This company exploits the customer [unfortunately, you're at their mercy since they are moving your belongings] and does so in a way that causes a lot of inconvenience. Their price point was ~15% lower than other companies I had looked in to, but looking back, I wish I had just paid more and gotten better service. Of course, the cost evened out in the end because of the extra I had to pay.

The one redeeming factor of the whole experience is that the movers themselves were great - very polite, quick/efficient and none of my stuff was damaged.

Long-distance move from San Francisco, CA to Denver, CO

Would give 0 stars if I could.

This company is horrendous. Not sure where to start, as pretty much all aspects of using E-Z Movers has been awful.

I hired them to move a studio worth of boxes and furniture from San Francisco, CA to Denver, CO. I could go on and on about how terrible everything was but here are the highlights:
*My items showed up over a month past my delivery date. They say their delivery spread is 15 business days (key words: don't include weekend days) from earliest delivery date.
*When my items did show up, there were two high value furniture and exercise equipment pieces that were irreparably damaged. They offered to pay .30 cents / lb (weight which they estimated) to fix, which doesn't even begin to cover the cost for the pieces.
*Also when my items showed up, 3 inventory items were missing: TV, Coffee Table and Bookshelf. Best part? When I called the company to tell them, they literally did not know where the stuff was.

Fast forward a month and I am dealing directly with the President, who still isn't resolving the issues the way that I would have thought someone that high up would have handled a situation that has gotten this bad. He refused any compensation for the additional delay and terrible customer service, nor any more substantial reimbursement for the damaged items.

DO NOT USE THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY. I wish I would have listened to reviews before I booked.

Damaged items - refused claims!

WORST experience!! Will NEVER recommend. Had at least 3 items damaged after move - the delivery driver even took pictures and acknowledged the damage and uploaded the pictures in his device and suggested to claim for the damages. Guess what - the claims department rejected the claims in spite of pictures from their own staff !! DON'T EVER USE them even in the wildest possibility that they say they will move stuff for free!!

Brian Ross is a Scammer.

Let me start off by warning everyone to stay away from BRIAN ROSS. He's not a terrible guy, but he's clearly peddling a service that he knows is terrible. Shame on you Brian, shame on you.

We explained exactly the size of the house to Brian, he confirmed, some movers were sent over to my house and they informed me upon arrival that they could only move one floor. After debating them and some Russian at the customer service department they ended up abruptly leaving my house.

What is most frustrating is that they took my deposit, moved nothing and refused refund of the deposit. It's not a big deal, it was only $100 or something, but the fact that they refused refund for that is a joke.

Worst Experience Ever.

I don't even know where to start with this company. Let's just say that the office will give you the quote you want to hear over the phone using Zillow to see what's in your house, but then the foreman will show up, say the office people are idiots and proceed to tell you that your move is going to take twice as long as they expected. I think it's a game between the foreman and the office about them talking trash about each other, but at the end of the day the only thing that gets done is the customer is overcharged.

A few toppers for my move:

- the foreman literally "shushed" my wife, raising his hand and closing his fingers like a mouth, in my own house nonetheless. I would have punched the man if I didn't need to get my stuff out

- the foreman actually threatened to leave my house without my stuff, knowing that we only had 24 hours to move, all because he didn't want to discuss why we were being overcharged

- when the moving crew realized during my move-in that they were running out of time, they just started throwing my boxes in my garage instead of asking me if I wanted them to finish putting my belongings where they actually belonged

- right before they left the moving crew left all the extra tape and boxes in my garage. When I asked them to take it, they said "we don't have a dumpster at the office"

- I received a phone call at 9:30am saying that the movers were on their way to my house. When they arrived at 10:45am the foreman asked me to sign. I noticed on the bill that he was charging me starting at 9am (apparently that's a thing, I paid the office $247 in travel charges but I also had to pay for the movers to travel to my home). When I told the foreman that he left at 9:30am, he told me he was charging me starting at 9am because his car wouldn't start. How is that my problem?!?!?!?!?

Use at your own risk (and the risk of your credit card)!!

Long-distance move from Minnesota to Oregon

A month late, heat damage, lost items.

We used these guys to move from Minneapolis to Portland and it was an absolutely awful experience.  First, the guys who picked up our stuff were mean, rude, non-communicative, and they basically forced us to give them really large cash tips to avoid checking certain boxes that would make the cost of the move higher.  Then, our stuff didn't show up when it was supposed to.  They were almost a whole month late delivering our things to Portland (a month and a half after they picked it up).  They lost a painting and a shelf which they did eventually mail to us after another month went by (we had already replaced the shelf because we couldn't setup our living room entertainment system without it). Also, some of our things were broken even though I packed things tightly, and a few boxes were melted.  The elastic had been destroyed in some of my clothes and all of my hair bands because of the heat exposure. All in all, this sounded like a good deal because of the low quote, but they ended up charging us about $500 more than the original quote and they did an awful job.

Unconcerned Movers!!

This is the worst moving company I have ever experience.. The movers are the worst bunch of people. They don't care about your belongings. I just purchased my bedroom furniture about 6 months ago. Nice and clean nothing broken."Brand new"! When it got into ez movers possession you would think I had this furniture for years. My handle on my dresser broken, my box spring the plastic is ripped all over and you can tell it was dragged and it's very light I can lift it myself, I watched him take the plastic off my mattress before he took it off the truck. Now the mattress is pretty heavy but it was two guys. I watch them drop my brand new Simmons beauty rest pillow-top mattress on the ground, dragged it and when I said something that's when they picked it up. Are you serious!! I purposely left the legs to my headboard on because they where small and so they would not loose them. Behold the legs are off and missing, so I can't put my bed together. I have 10 bins and I wrapped each and everyone before the pick up. Some of them was re-wrapped and the wheels on my rolling bin where inside when it got to me but when they picked up the bin the wheels was on. Do not use this company unless they have hired some responsible movers.. Also the movers do not know how to talk to people.. They are rude and very disrespectful..Never again I would rather rent a uhaul and drive myself. I have pictures but new to computer and I don't know how to download but I will learn today. Pictures posted later.

E-Z movers' quota was not trustable.

I got quota from E-Z sales was $799 and delivery date was 10 business days from pickup date.
When E-Z movers picked up, the price was increased more than $200. And delivery date was changed from picked up date to delivery spread without any explain.
At that point I don't have time to switch to anohter moving company.
Delivery date delaied 7 days since delivery spread. It was hard week for waiting for delivery because the quota was untrusable, therefore, you cannot trust whatever they told you until E-Z movers'  truck stopped  in the  destination.

Worst Moving Company Ever!!

This was the worst company I have ever used to make a move. Par tof this is my fault I should have listened the reviews. But I was doing a local move. They quoted a price on the phone of 210 - 280. When the quote came via email it stated that travel time was not included. I 'SPECIFICALLY" asked Alex (the guy on the other end of the phone) about this and he stated that my end bill would be between 210 and 280. The movers got there on time and starting wrapping every piece of furniture in blankets. When told they didn't need to do all that they stated that was the only way they would take them. At this poing I thought they were doing a good job. When they got to my house the driver (Eugene) hands me a bill for $896. I almost had a heart attack. They charged me for every inch of tape they used and they were enerous about it and to rent the blankets they used. They also charged for tolls and travel time each way. I had no choice to pay because I was told the stuff would not come off the truck until they received payment in full. I was irate. I contracted these people via an online quote from www.e-zmovers.com. When I contacted them to file a compalint (they charged me $125 a piece for two large crates they never used), I was told by the E-Z movers people they don't know who they are. How do you let someone advertise on your website and not know them? If you are doing a move from a NJ origin this company should never be an option. Take it from I should have listened. Please don't make the same mistake and hire this company!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! My television was missing and they refused to reimburse me for it.

E-Z Movers may seem like a good deal when they quote their price. I thought so, too. Do not be fooled! They have plenty of extra add-ons and hidden charges. For example, I was charged $300 dollars EXTRA because they could not get their huge semi within 75 feet of my front door. I had to run to the ATM to get the money before they would deliver any of my items.

As if that wasn't enough, my brand new television was completely missing from my shipment. The driver asks you to put tick marks on the items as they are brought into the house. One of my items was not checked off, but I didn't notice until several hours after they had they left. I called the company the next day to report the item missing. I also contacted the driver who's number they give you when your delivery is getting close. I did not get ahold of him, but sent a message to which he never responded. After moving at a snail's pace, I got a letter in the mail 5 WEEKS LATER saying that they were denying my claim and since I didn't notice that the item was missing while the driver was still there, they are not responsible for it! DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER ALLOWING THESE CROOKS TO TAKE PERSONAL ITEMS FROM YOUR HOME UNLESS YOU DON'T VALUE YOUR POSSESSIONS. This is absolutely 100% the worst experience that I've ever had with any company EVER.

Fraudulent quote.

Their main problem is that they give you an estimate and take 25% deposit at reservation. Then they come to your house and increase the estimate by 500 dollars even though you added 3-4 boxes more than estimate. Then when the deliver they will charge 700 dollars extra because your house is not on interstate highway where trailers can park and directly load into your home.

Delay in delivery.

Below are the reason why you should not move with EZ Movers

1) Correct Information is not provided when you call the customer care.
2) Delivery date given is far behind the actual delivery date. When you talk to customer care for getting the quote they respond very politely, once the pickup is done and you call back to question why the delivery has not happend they ar every harsh and give reasons that it will not be delivered on the said date and time.
3) I had my things moved on Nov 17th and was told full address is not required to start the move, zipcode would be enough to start moving, and once they reach the given zipcode they would call back. Since I never got the call and called back EZmovers to my surpise I was told the things have not yet started to move and they put the blame on me stating since address was not given they have not starated the move.
4) It is no use contacting the customerrelations@e-zmovers.com, since they give a very surpising and non-acceptable response say they understand the frustration but it was our mistake.

So who all are reading it, pls be careful and not to use these movers specifically if you are moving with your childrens, since these movers are not at all customer oriented.

Thanks,

Long-distance move from Minnesota to North Carolina

Take our advice. Do not use EZ Movers.

Please take our advice and do not use E-Z Movers.

E-Z Movers had the lowest quote we received on our move from MN to NC. However, when they arrived the low quote was completely negated when we were charged SIGNIFICANTLY MORE for "long carry" charges. These "long carry charges" were the fault of the driver because he did not pull up close enough to the building when a car that was parked near our front door pulled away 30 minutes into the move. These charges were significant and the total overall cost of the move was nearly double our original quote as a result.

The head mover we worked with was a [EDIT] and very unpleasant to work with. He told us he was originally from Bulgaria and inadvertently shared that he makes $200,000 a year, which explains the extra fees that we assume go directly to him.

The movers spent four hours loading our items and the truck was left running the entire time -- a fuel cost that I'm sure was passed on to us as the customers.

When we signed the contract we were told it would take 7-14 days for our items to arrive in NC, however once in our new location we were told it was 7-14 BUSINESS DAYS. Also, we were told we would get 24 hours advance notice when our shipment was to arrive, but we only received a few hours notice. It was never explained that the remaining balance would need to be paid IN CASH.

There was damage to a significant number of items, which E-Z Movers refused to pay for because without our knowledge the mover had identified nearly all our furniture items as "SC" when loading, a designation we did not notice when signing the papers. The "SC" stood for "scratched," indicating that these items were damaged prior to moving. However we had recently purchased most of our furniture items and many were brand new. They have never mentioned to us what the SC stands for and just gave us the papers and said: "ok, sign here". You could argue that we agreed and signed without reading the fine print, but who would read them in such hectic moments. The mover identified our items as "scratched" in order to protect the company should our items get damaged, which they did. We had rips in our new leather couch, scratches on a new dining room chair, and a scratch on a new leather bench. They were completely dishonest and unethical and they know that that's how they make their money.

We called an arbitration company to discuss filing a complaint, and when we mentioned the name "E-Z Movers" the person on the other line let out an audible sigh, as indication that we were not the first people to taken by this company.

According to our research, E-Z Movers has changed their name at least once in their history, and we will be watching to see if they do so again. We should have listened to other reviewers who had complaints, but we took a risk and have been paying for it ever since.

EZ Movers are anything but easy!

A lot of hidden charges and rude staff. Once they get your order it is very difficult to get any person on the phone to ask them about the time of move. They overbook themselves and were very very late for our pick-up. The truck came at 9 PM and we home till 11 PM. Amanda and Kelly are extremely rude and so was the truck driver. They refused to take all the items mentioned in their inventory and charged $400 extra for 2 extra medium boxes. The packing of the couch and refrigerator was done with a very old, torn and dirty blanket. Our couch is a pretty old one and all four legs of the couch was removed in a way that we can't fix it back now. When we asked them not to remove it in the first place we were told not to teach them their work. Save yourself from the stress and DONT book them. They are pathetic.

Unreliable moving company.

From the beginning to the end of my relocation from Miami to Denver E-Z Movers managed to inconvenience me and my family.  They were late two days to pick up leaving with no time to clean and paint my previous place. They showed very poor customer service with unreliable delivery dates. They managed to mess up my long distance paper work and delayed my delivery for 6 days! Me and my family had to spend several nights sleeping on the floor due to their inability to provide us basic customer service and decent delivery time frame. Finally when delivery arrived they failed to notify me with in 24hrs to reserve the loading zone in my new condominium building overcharged me with additional distance from where to they parked their trunk to my house. My bed  and desk arrived broken and pieces fallen apart. To top it off the delivery staff is beyond rude and unconsidered. The company driver called Mike had the nerve to call me stupid lady when I demand an explanation for the additional charges. That was first and the last time I will ever use this moving company. A lot headache and the worst I paid for apparently a good service that I never received. There are a lot options in the market for moving companies do yourself a favor do your due-diligence research and take your business elsewhere.

I Hate Ez-movers.

This is the most fraudulent company that I have ever worked with in my life. 1. My quote jumped from $354 to $680 2. They claimed that they moved more than they really did causing me to pay more for cubic space (on paper) 3. Cubic space was never discussed during the quote 4. I was told that my belongings would be put in a storage unit, NOT AN OPEN FLOOR WAREHOUSE 5. I was told that my monthly payments would only be $109, but they jumped to $240 a month for a 1 bedroom apt. 6. They wrote 2 totally different lists of items moved and charged me for the highest list 7. They are holding my furniture hostage as I type because I refuse to pay them $240 a month which I was not quoted. AND THE LIST GOES ON!! Long story short, I am hiring a lawyer and suing the pants off this company.

Mistreated the worst possible way!!

I was quoted $1351. They did this to me--like they have done it to others (unknown to me until later). Then, on 8/27/2010--the day I moved out--the movers came and startled me by saying that the quote was now $2722,49.

Incidentally, the guys who came and did the packing spoke little English; communication was awful! When I tried calling their office, everyone appeared to be "Busy." well, their scam worked. Heading out of the door and in a hurry to move and do countless things bidding for my attention, I obliged--though unwillingly.

I had to be at work. So, I left my daughter to supervise. My mattresses were not unwrapped (one guy distracted my daughter while the other hauled them away).

At the receiving end, the guys were late. I had to wait three weeks to get my stuff. Customer service was awful. For three long weeks, I had only a few clothes I had packed, no bed, or anything..And they didn't seem to care.

Of course, my unwrapped mattresses (each ranging in cost $1100-1300) were damaged. The guys, knowing their fault, had my son sign for the goods the minute they showed up at the door (since again I was at work) before we found out (at the end) that the mattresses were damaged.

When I arrived, close to the end--and saw the damage..They uttered in poor English . . . ."Call office, call office."

Well, I called the office (claims) and no one answered the phone or returned my call for days.

Finally, I managed to touch base with a ms. S (who acted rather arrogantly and heartlessly). She did not seem to care at all. I sent her pictures too.

I filed a claim for my damaged mattresses, and I told ms. S that this matter was not about money but about "Doing the right thing."

My claim for damages was rejected except for a "Partial renumeration of $60" in the face of 2 mattresses each costing $1200!!

Do not use this company!! They purposely and maliciously overcharge, perform poor service, and when they do wrong--they shift blame and never admit their mistakes. Do not believe a word they tell you. Google their reviews and the complaints levied against them and see for yourself!!

I looked them up at the BBB, and their rating is an f!!

Here is a link to the BBB for other horrors!!

Long-distance move from Iowa to Florida

Movers Beware!!

Final cost way over initial quote.  Movers were to call 1 day before arriving.  Called day of delivery. Mover at time of pickup asked for a tip. Several items were discovered damaged or destroyed.  Moving dolly was missing. Sales person was so accommodating at the time of sale but quickly passed me off once I had an issue. Staff was in my opinion non-caring and condencending. Take my advice and go with a company that will come to your residence and provide a guaranteed price with guaranteed insurance coverage that will cover any damages.  .

Long-distance move from Minnesota to Colorado

Stay away from EZ Movers.

I don't even know where to start. If you care about your time and money, don't trust EZ Movers. Unfortunately, I found the online reviews after I signed the contract with them. I called the EZ Movers representative (Daniel) and I told him about my concerns regarding the reviews. I told him that I was short in money for the move and that I could not afford big changes in price, as the reviews were pointing out. I asked him for a home estimate. The representative told me that they don't offer this service, but he calmed me down saying that I had a small move and that if the inventory were accurate, I wouldn't have any problems. From our conversation, he convinced me to keep the contract. He was very persuasive and assured me that later I could do any adjustments I needed in my inventory. I moved from Minneapolis, mn to Denver, co. I had, in the quote done over phone, 39 items included in my inventory. I had in my inventory 2 full beds. Later, I realized I had 2 queen beds instead of 2 full beds. I called EZ Movers office before the moving date and daniel informed me that this change would add around 100 dollars to the price I received in my quote ($1301, 44). When the movers arrived, I had fewer items than were registered on my quote: I had 16 boxes instead of 20, I had only 1 bookshelf instead of 2, I had 33 total items in my actual move. The driver told me that, even with the less stuff I had, the price would only remain the same in case I would only take 1 queen mattress instead of 2. When I argued with him saying that the EZ Movers representative gave me a different price, that’s what he said: “well, it is very easy for them to be in the office giving quotes. I’m the one who comes and sees the things. If I take items that exceed the volume in the quote, I will have to pay for that in our warehouse when we transfer your stuff from one truck to the other and I won’t take that risk”. I felt hopeless, betrayed, and abused by EZ Movers at that point. The representative assured me over the phone that I could made adjustments on site, but the driver didn’t give me that option. Long story short, the driver agreed to keep the price in the original quote from daniel in case I would leave some stuff out, including one queen mattress (I left behind one microwave, one night stand, one black cube, one bookshelf, 2 folding chairs, and I had only 16 boxes instead of the 20 I had in my inventory. I asked the driver to calculate how much it would cost me to bring the second mattress (even though it should be just a matter of adjusting the size/price of it in the inventory) and he gave me a price over $400 to bring the mattress. I could not afford to pay this extra amount of money, and therefore, I left the mattress behind, too. I filled a claim after my move and they told me that I would receive an answer in 30 days. They did not contact me. I called them a week after the deadline they gave me. The solution? They did not adjust the price I paid and said that the claim was solved even though I did not receive any communication from them! They didn't acknowledge any of my complaints and suggested me to look for a lawyer to further discuss my "Issues". Please believe me, I never wrote a review before, but I feel so abused right now that I thought I could help others to do not make the same mistake I did. Please, for your own sake, do not trust EZ Movers!
