DON'T USE THIS COMPANY.........

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY...I feel all your pain as my husband and myself have been through this on 8/15/22 with our move. If you want things busted, destroyed and even dragged through grease/dirt on your gorgeous couch - then this is the company for you...Quotes were given but incorrectly. If you think your getting a deal with all the discounts, think again and add an addition 3K with your savings. My husband and I just retired and figured this would be our last move so they hired this company called Best for You Movers. BAD choice. Now I have to do a claim and just wondering if it is all worth it. We have so much stuff missing, it makes me sick just to think about it. I could get more in detail, but my heart hurts for everyone out there getting taken advantage of...

Long-distance move from Killeen, TX to Pike Road, AL

Predatory Practices

After receiving my deposit, the agent (Steven) working with me totally stopped taking our calls. We were quoted a price of 15K, and then after conducting a visual walkthrough via facebook, the same agent added 3k more to the price. I read 102 negative reviews before sending my deposit and was told by the agent that he would be the point of contact for any issues and that our move was not sub contracted out (it was). We were supposed to receive a call from the movers 3 days prior (did'nt happen) and a call from the QA agent (Suzy). We never got the name of sub mover and Suzy hung up after 11 seconds and we were unable to reach her agin after 7 attempts. The movers show up the day of and before they will pack anything, hit us up with an upcharge adding 15k more because they say my agent (Steven) shortage the inventory and didn't list things like the bedframe, headboard and footboard (the inventory only listed the bed). The movers stated that listing the bed only meant mattress and box spring. I called Eagle moving and my agent sent me to voicemail. The customer service rep. Said they had to wait to see how much more the cost would be and that she apologized for Steven's error but we would have to either decide what things we wanted to be shipped and leave everything else behind if we wanted to keep the same price, cancel but we would lose our 6K deposit because the movers showed up even though we were never given contact information to coordinate extra fees as promised by Eagle Moving Group, or pay 15K more to have all items packed and shipped. When we chose to pick items to shipped, we were told the large items could not be shipped under current contract because they counted square footage for boxes. Since paying extra to ship our household goods. Eagle movers have not returned a call, text or email. We were told that there was nothing they could do about the bad qoute and contract but failure to pay would result in our items not beong packed at all. I informed Eagle to include Steven, Alex, and Suzy that I would be out of state and needed this move to be smooth as possible because my wife was disabled and could not handle it going awry. A move that was quoted and contract signed for 18K, jumped to 33K and Eagle Movers waited until we were within hours of having to be moved and excercised the practice of take it or leave it. Every member of Eagle moving staff worked to ensure we would pay more than initially agreed to and then refused to take any more of our calls. The customer service rep even stated that us not having the money can't be a concern for her, we either pay, or cancel. She even lied to my daughter and stated that I threatened her after she hung up on me when confronted about the predatory practice displayed by her company. Bottom line is this is the worst company I have ever done business with. They will lie to you to get your money, perpetuate the lies to delay you while dodging your calls until it is too late to contractually cancel then upcharge. They also sub cintract companies that have just as bad of a track record in upcharging customer after they arrive at your house to pack out. I would not recommend Eagle to anyone. They in no way shape or form can handle big moves and will utilize the practice of underbiding until you are locked in. When questioned directly about some of the negative practices reveiwed online, I was told that those issues had been resolved and there would be no extra mark ups and if they didn't use all the resources we would be refunded. Buyer be ware...They are horrible and I pray I get my houehold goods delivered in a timely fashion but actually worried about that too. DO NOT USE this company and do not trust any estimates they deliver.

Do NOT go with this company! Terrible experience!

Do NOT book with this company! I am a person that rarely complains. I understand that moving is never going to be easy no matter what, and that mistakes might be made. As long as there is transparency and up-to-date communication with clients, I am fine with going with the flow. However, I needed to warn ANYONE that looks at reviews to stay away from this business. Whatever you do, do NOT have Andres from the sales department at Eagle Moving company talk to you. This con artist made me believe that he had my best interests, and that their company was the only logical choice to go to compared to any others. Before I signed my contract with Eagle, I specifically asked over the phone when I my stuff should be delivered once it’s picked up. Andres told me 7-8 days. Not business days. He said within 1 week! I was never told the actual timeline until the movers came to pick up my stuff. They then informed me that my estimated delivery time would be up to 14 business days from my move in date. So, when my stuff was actually set to deliver, it had almost been a month by that point.

As for my actual delivery experience, it was truly horrendous. I have witnesses to prove everything. Eagle went through a 3rd party moving company called Logistics Pro that I had no way to verify and view if they were actually credible or not, before signing my contract. Let’s just say their communication was abysmal at best. They never gave me updated information, correct information about delivery, and what to expect. I unfortunately had to be the one to be on top of when they were actually driving out to me, consistently asking them for the information I needed to obtain a parking permit for them, which they never gave me. When the driver arrived (just by himself) he proceeded to yell at me for a solid 30 minutes STRAIGHT! Yes, you read that first part correct. He was the SOLE mover for that job. He told his other movers that they didn’t need to help him so that he could pocket the money for himself. No moving job should EVER have just 1 mover for that amount of money we pay for this service. His reasoning for yelling at me for so long was because he decided he couldn’t park where it was county and law designated that he could park. When in actuality he ultimately projected his own personal error of not bringing other movers, onto me. It took him 2 1/2 hours to FINALLY start the process of moving my stuff in because he complained for so long. Then it took him an additional 3 hours to move my stuff (only a studio worth of things) into my apartment (with an elevator). He complained like a child the ENTIRE time, and was mad that he had to put my stuff together. Even though that was part of the contactual agreement with Eagle Moving and Logistics Pro. To say that day was the day from HELL in regards to moving, is an understatement. My sister and friend were there, and we ended up having to help HIM move my stuff as well. I don’t say this lightly, and there are witnesses on this street who saw me so upset and literally crying from his yelling and abuse. This man was verbally abusive, a bully, and so completely unprofessional that he should NEVER be working with any client again. I also found out that he did not deliver all of my things as well. And have yet to be reimbursed for even that. Did he take advantage of me, yes. Should he be reported, absolutely. I have tried many times over the last several weeks to reach out to Eagle Moving company and Logistics Pro to report my experience, to no avail. They either do not respond to my claims, say that they will send a follow up email and do not, or say that there is nothing they can do. I tried to get some sort of acknowledgment or resolve since I did not want to write such a scathing review. But, alas their silence and refusal has spoken very loud.

To the future possible client- take my experience and run as far away from this company as you can! Do not book with Eagle Moving, do not have Andres contact you, and do not go through Logistics Pro! If you do, be prepared to be lied to, gaslit, and breakdown form the overall experience.

FAILED BROKERAGE ARRANGEMENT

GO ELSEWHERE. Scott R who was our brokerage agent stated "This is a total turn -key operation from packing to loading...you will be sitting back drinking coffee. The truck will be 32ft, there will be 1 supervisor with 5+ years experience and 3 mover/packers with 2+ years experience. Upon day of moving 1 driver in a 26ft rental showed. He had no packing materials for dishes etc. He had NO HELP show up. He contacted his office and they listed the job on craigslist for $25.00/hr. I contacted EAGLE customer service who stated employees were coming. Thats right...any warm body from craigslist (1 needed $100 for gas money to get to our house) was expectable. No care for our property, its safety, nor its risk of theft right from our home! I sent driver away and EAGLE customer service attempted a ridiculous refund NOW or get nothing! I am taking legal action with a firm interesting in a class action suit. Watch craigslist, dallas, community, groups, under subject EAGLE.

Illegal verbal misrepresentation of written contract

Nicholas verbally misrepresented a written contract multiple times. Customer service manager was extremely insulting and persisted to insist that it is legal to misrepresent a written contract. I was told that they will take good care of me because I am a disabled veteran, when speaking with the customer service representative/manager he interrupted yelled and insulted me when I returned the favor he said that I need to seek psychological help as a disabled veteran.

These people obviously do not have the skills to sell so they will lie to you. They told me the services that I was paying for would be around $2,000 when the movers got to my house it cost me over $6,000 resulting in me being homeless for about a week. People like this hide behind phones, internet, and deception hoping that they will never get caught. Customer service manager tried to bait me and threatening him.

What they are doing is illegal, they know it, and they rely on strategies that are usually reserved for narcissist, sociopaths, and psychopaths. As a former salesman I can tell you they do not know what they were doing so they have to rely on unsavory tactics.

Do not give your money to Eagle Moving Group

Eagle engaged in deceptive business practices and may charge you significantly more than the quoted price. I am now being charged $4,700 for a move that was quoted at $2,650.

As a moving broker, Eagle provides you a “binding” estimate and then sells/transfers the contract to another company that will actually do the move. I paid a $1,000 deposit for a move that was quoted at $2650. On the date of the move, the mover arrived and stated that the items on the inventory list in the “binding” estimate would actually require more space in the truck and packing materials than estimated and that I would have to pay $4,000. Eagle told me I had to pay the $4,000 or forfeit my deposit.

Eagle also agreed to provide up to 30 days of free storage. The mover refused to honor that and Eagle refused to help. I complained to Eagle multiple times but they refused to return calls or emails.

Eagle provided me a junk, low-ball estimate and unlawfully refused to honor it. They contract with sketchy movers and have no accountability. I recommend you find another company that is not a broker and will come to your home and provide you a true estimate before you put any money down.

Beware this company

I would not use this company again under any circumstance. They sold their service saying the estimate would be accurate and 3-4 movers would show up, as scheduled. They were a day late, had only two workers arrive resulting in still loading at 3:00 AM after 13 hours. After most of my goods were on the truck I was told the estimate was off by more than 25%. Alternatives were either pay or we can unload the truck. Once the truck was loaded, I was then told they would take up to 14 days to deliver at their discretion. Goods were delivered 5 days late and had nearly $1000 worth of items missing, for which I was given $69 through their claims process. I can honestly say that I've never encountered a more deceptive and dishonest company in their business practices.

Not a moving company—subcontractors!!!

Eagle Movers are not a moving company!! They are subcontractors who hire unethical and criminal middlemen to do their job!!! I was way under quoted by the manager in order to get a sale! Then, they hired Legends Movers who tried to charge me $900 more so I ended up leaving 1/4 of my things behind!! Then they forced me to pay a tip or $350!!! Bribery or a hostage situation however you look at it. The movers were likely illegals functioning like they would in a 3rd world country. Then, I was told my belongings were getting transferred and shipped out that night!!! 40 days later with many many lies and back and forth...my things came with more payment...above quoted rate and they didn’t unwrap or assemble what the other men did!!! I ended up having several missing boxes and bent bicycles. They opened and picked out what they wanted during those 40 days and kept several boxes!!!! Then, I was told to fill out a claim form!! Their claim company is FAKE!! Yes, someone answers but it is set up to appear somewhat legit BUT it is not legit!! They did not respond to the BBB complaint and correspondence either!!! They are reported to the police as well....I was told many of these moving companies are backed by Eastern European mafia. Watch out!! Hire your own local men to help load and unload!!! Do not hire through a company that WILL

LIE and STEAL from you!!!

Worst broker ever

They broker out and you don’t know who you will get but you’re stuck with them, and they charge you more than what Eagle estimated. They promised my stuff on September 16, 2023, so pick up had to be September 6th. Movers came 2 hours late with 1 guys and his girlfriend who did not speak English. Me and my boyfriend had to help them move my stuff into a uhaul storage unit. Which it is now September 30th and I still do not have my stuff. Called Eagle and Blue Lion (movers) and they give me the run around. Ready to get a lawyer at this point. Especially with them increasing moving price from 3500 to 4500 and that is with me and my boyfriend helping them move my stuff for them. New Mexico to Florida. I have lowjack on my vehicle- yes they have my transportation as well- and it is now in transit headed for California ( wrong way) yet they tell me they did not hear from dispatch yet to move my belongings. PLEASE LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY

Worst move ever!

The worst move ever! I have moved 7 times so far, this has been by far, very far, the worst experience ever! They didn't just underquote me to get the sale, but they also sent a smaller truck than was needed, they said they'd send 4 people, they only sent 3, the movers themselves didn't get my entire list moved, now I have to go for all the furniture they left at my house. Steer clear, these guys are resellers, they subcontract their movers and charge you a ton of money on top. The movers also demanded a tip of $150 each. Do yourself a favor, don't hire these guys! I also called Eagle Moving Group LLC and they denied leaving all the furniture they did and didn't even refund me for any of their wrongdoings. Totally unethical company!
