DC Pro Moving and Storage

Dc pro moving did my move for me 2 months ago. The woman on the phone explained everything to me in detail- she was up front about all the costs. I asked her to send me all the documents that I would have to sign beforehand so I wasn't pressured on the day of the move. She was very kind in sending me those.

The movers came and moved my 1 bedroom very quickly..granted I didn't have much stuff.

Everything arrived in good condition and the movers were very professional the whole way through.

I moved my 2 bedroom apartment with DC Pro Movers.

They arrive on time. They had 3 people and a truck while other companies offer only 2 people.

They wrapped everything carefully, people were nice and careful.
The unloading was a lot faster, they unwrapped everything and clean all broken wrapping paper and took out the broken down boxes leaving my apartment clean.

There was an administrative misunderstanding and they charge me for the wrapping blanket but then they were honest enough to contacted me back and refund me the cost for the blanket making it a very good deal. THAT IS HONESTY which is hard to find around.

I will totally use them again and highly recommend them.

Before writing my review, I saw a bunch of other reviews about hidden costs and stuff. I recommend moving with a set price or at least a set hourly price so you don't have that problem.   Anyways, thanks to Nicky and all of dc pro my move was a smoothe one. They moved me from Bethesda to Atlanta for a set price of $3,600.The price included packing and moving of my 2 bedroom single family home. The crew was on time, polite, and professional. I plan to use them for my next move next year.  .

Initially, the movers were respectful but a little slow of course to fill up the hours. The quote that I received was o.k. However, again, as others have stated, the up-charges were off the chain. You are charged on all supplies, for example, a roll of tape @ $3.00 each x 8 (WTF) I am paying $24.00 for tape when I had my own? Also, they charged me for several large what they called wardrobe boxes. When I unpacked, I found 3 bed pillows that I had in a large garbage and three shoe boxes in two separate wardrobe boxes @ 25.00 for each that was unnecessary for them to use. I was charged for two so that was another unexpected additional $50.00)
As others say, they want to wrap your mattress and box springs at $15.00 each .. a king and twin bed (five pieces@ 15.00) cost me another unexpected $75.00. Blankets could have been used at my request, but no, they won't accept that b/c they want more and more money. I had a one king bed and corner table in a very small den are big enough for a twin bed, dresser and nightstand. My estimated cost was $300.00 and at the end of the move, I ended up paying around $500.00.

This company definitely does tell consumers how they truly operate. They do list charges, however, but when they come they use what materials, boxes, tape etc. that they OWN, not what you may have and this is where the those charges continued to increase. I WAS RIPPED OFF and I would NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. My quote was around 300.00 and I ended up paying 500.00 for a move that was only a mile in distance (one trunk load for the one move). I should have checked the google reviews as you should if you consider using this company in additional to calling the Better Business Bureau for reviews..
This company has many, many complaints.
