What a total rip off..Stay away from this movers.

This company is a total ripped off. They advertised low hourly rate and a low estimate but beware because they will take advantage of you. Here are my experience about this moving company. 1.Totally unprofessional, no ID , the lead person did not introduce himself . As soon as he arrived at our condo he told us that the estimate is totally wrong for a 2 BR, and that Luna was underestimating big time. 2. Wanted to charge us 220 USD fo cancellation fee if I would not take the price. 3. Will not accept the way we pack our stuff states it has to be on their own way.  we packed everything good, and they will force you to take their packaging material  which is another ridiculously overpriced. 3. Totally dishonest to customer  told us  3 movers the one guy just did all the paper work, went downstairs and started chatting and not doing anything for an hour. 4 Does not own their own truck brought a budget truck with them, and told us they could not fit all the stuff that we have and that if I want they can come back for additional charge for travel time plus the hourly rate on top of the previous charge. The truck was not even full, It was very obvious that this movers have to just half open the truck door so that we can't see it. Oh well for your attention DC movers we are not stupid, took pictures and will post it too. 6. Left our furnitures upside down lost all the screws. 7.Will charge you additional if you wil not pay in cash. 8. Driving in 270 towards the place we are moving in a  states that he cannot drive within the speedlimit and that we have to slow down so that they can follow. We were driving 50 mph in a 65mph and still they could not keep up. They were dragging their time because they are paid an hourly rate, no work ethics at all. 9. Left our furnitures upside down, did not even put it in designated areas where we wanted it to be. 10. Totally overpriced, dishonest, will ripped you off, rude and will take their time so that you will be charged more. The lead mover even did  his paperwork in the middle of the move so that we will not have to do any manual labor . Beware of this particular mover  don't even believe what they will tell you. They will just try to start business with you and then will trap you.

Great Experience.

They arrived within the time frame they had quoted to us before hand. Benny, Wilson and Thomas were very friendly, professional and pleasant to deal with, and above all very efficient. The final rate was just a bit above what was originially quoted, but that was due to our couch and loveseat needing wrapping. They even took an unwanted TV (1980s floor model) to the dumpster for us. Overall it was a great experience. If I could ensure securing those three gentlemen for another move, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Rip Off Scammers Beware!

I hired DC Pro  Moving and Storage to perform my move on April 4th 2014. They were suppose to be at my house between 8-9 am, did not arrive until 10:00. I was given a quote for 3 men at $75 an hour to move a two bedroom apartment with a garage full of boxes. When they arrived they claim to not have been told about the garage and they would need an extra man to to complete the task "faster". I explained to them that I told their saleperson "Luna" about the garage and it was part of my estimate. They bickered with me and said they would give me a fourth guy for $24 dollars an hour. I agreed to it just to get the move started and over sooner. I was moving a 2 bedroom apartment about a 1/4 of mile down the road to a townhouse. It took them 10 hours to complete, and my 23 year old son and 44 year old fiance help them the entire time. My $600 dollar quote was over $1600 dollars by the time I finished. We packed 95% of the house ourselves, yet there is a charge for $533 dollars in moving supplies how crazy is that. What a big rip off. I have had lots of experience with movers over the past 20 years, I have moved continuously as a result of my career field and I have to say this is by far the worst moving company I have ever used. The one's I found on craigslist have been far better then this company. Heed mine and other reviewers words, save your money and stay away, far away.

Two Mile Move in Maryland.

In my opinion, you will regret using DC Pro Movers. They required 40 minutes to pack and load two rooms of furniture, and then, for some unexplained reason required, one hour and 30 minutes to unload the same furniture into a similar ground floor apartment.  Then they add "fuel and supplies" to the "estimate" which is approximately a 30% addition to the charge.  When I asked what it was for, they tell you "company policy and 12 rolls of tape". The entire move was to transfer 2 rooms of furniture (no small stuff), two miles, into a similar ground floor apartment.  .

Long-distance move from Washington DC to Virginia

Great Experience.

Before hiring DC Pro Moving and Storage, I read quite a few online reviews of this and other moving companies: By far most people had said that DC Pro was "great" but some said they were "terrible". The owner, Avi, explained that often people misjudge their moving needs, leading to cost overruns. To avoid this, he personally did a walk through of my house, and when moving day came, the team and truck was PERFECT. All went very smoothly. They were very careful of my furniture, wrapping it very well; they were also rapid and pleasant to work with. Luna Perez, the office backstop ("relocation consultant") was also great, making sure the paperwork moved swiftly and easily.

I highly recommend DC Pro!

Long-distance move from Maryland to Washington DC

Pleasant experience with DC Pro Movers.

DC Pro Movers moved my wife and I from our 2 bedroom townhome in Rockville, MD to a storage facility in Washington DC. They arrived with their truck the morning of the move and loaded the truck for a few hours. They disassembled the furniture and wrapped everything too (because everything will be in storage for a few months). My wife and I were impressed with the price and service we received. We plan to use them again when we move into our new home in a few months.

A con artist and a nightmare.

A nightmare and a con artist. They broke my $5,000 treadmill, my wood easel and other valuable items. The walls, bannisters and even the floor were scratched, and nicked with several large gashes. They dragged my treadmill along the ground breaking it. When we arrived at my destination they wanted to charge me three times the estimate. When I balked at the exorbitant price they threatened to take my furniture to storage. Finally after blackmailing me for twice what I should have paid and I called police, they unloaded everything into my garage and left everything unassembled and broken. I am sleeping on a mattress because they disassembled my bed, refused to assemble it back and lost the screws. My dining room table is in pieces I was only moving 10 minutes away. My last move with a company called DMV movers from Va to MD - one hour away. They were wonderful, on time and moved everything perfectly with no damage for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend them, Sadly They were not available for the day I needed so I hired DC movers instead. It was the worst decision of my life. They are unethical and dishonest with no concern for their customers They hire day laborers who in my case were highly untrained and unskilled resulting in damage to much of my furniture,.

Great Experience.

Overall our experience with DC Pro Movers was excellent. We had a unique experience where we had two days notice regarding our move date and we called on a Sunday and were set up to move on Tuesday morning. The salesperson (Luna) was extremely helpful and set everything up by phone and email. She was able to work with our difficult schedule and make the entire process easy.  The move was local but was done promptly and completed on 1 day. In total the move cost approximately $2100 and included our entire house (2 bedrooms, kitchen, living room, furnished basement, office). We used the all-inclusive option in which the price included all packing materials.  I feel this was by far and away the easiest since it did not matter how many or what type of boxes we used, special packing of certain items or anything that might jack up the price. Yes, the hourly rate was double, but when boxes can cost up to $10/piece, the money makes up for itself very quickly. The crew was easy to work with, honest, and worked hard the entire day. I felt they were trustworthy and have no complaints. I highly recommend this company to others who need to move in the Metro DC area as they were able to get the job done quickly, efficiently and without any problems or damages. .

The most professional movers in the business!!

No one likes to move; however, if any company can make it a pleasant and painless experience, DC Pro Moving and Storage can.

From the time I called to request an estimate until my goods were moved, the staff was extremely professional throughout the entire process. In fact, I had to re-schedule my move date, and they accommodated my request immediately. Any questions I had during and post the move were immediately and professionally addressed beyond my expectations.

I plan to recommend DC Pro Moving and Storage to everyone I know!
