I have to admit, I was sceptical. When we hired local movers from different companies, things were destroyed.. And I know how to pack. When I graduated from college I landed a job almost right away, but it was five states away. I knew moving a family of 5 and a dog wasn't going to be the best adventure, but let me tell you- Cross Country Moving Group made it so much easier than I expected. The day of the move, the movers arrived promptly and professionally. They asked if I had any special instructions before they started packing the truck. My biggest concern was a China set that was my grandmother's and held a lot of sentimental value. The movers proceeded to load the truck, paying special attention to the floors, walls and stairs (which a lot of times get banged up during a move). Fast forward to arrival at our new home, the movers called an hour before they were estimated to arrive and asked if we were available to bring us our belongings, they did say that if we weren't they would wait until the estimated time frame. It was no issue to us. They had the entire truck unpacked, and all of our furniture where we wanted it to go only 45 minutes after their estimated arrival time-consuming which was amazing! Upon unpacking our boxes, everything was still there- hadn't been gone through or damaged and my grandmother's China set was still as beautiful as ever. I highly recommend CCMR for anyone who wants movers to handle their belongings with the same care as you would. They were efficient, quick and professional! If I could give this company over 5 stars I would!

I recently moved away from California to Virginia and was a little weary about having to deal with a moving company after past negative experiences and because of the distance, but Cross Country Moving Group did not disappoint one bit! I decided to give them a try after reading all the positive reviews on here and I also find that I have no complaints. The movers were extremely kind and courteous. I feel like with previous moving companies I had to deal with movers who simply didn't seem to respect my stuff and would just throw things around and didn't take care of my stuff. With Cross Country Moving Group I feel like they took very good care of my stuff as if they were dealing with their own belongings. I will definitely use them for any future moves and will recommend them to all my friends and family!

Helped some friends move back to Florida from Texas with this company and it was great. The movers helped with all the furniture since it was just us 3 (my two friends who are married, and myself helping them). All the fragile stuff was carefully packed and loaded up in a way that it wouldn't get smashed, crushed or thrown around during transit. The movers were friendly, polite and were fast but careful with everything. My friends were ecstatic when they got to Florida and the truck arrived a few days after with everything intact. Cross Country Moving Group made the whole thing easy, and a lot less stressful for all of us! I'll definitely use this company if I ever need to move cross country.

The response time for getting a quote was right away, same as other brokers. I decided to go along with them since they came off very professional. (wrong decision #1)
Gave them the list of items I needed to move which were a bed, living room set, 2 large boxes, office desk, and a tall dresser.
They quoted for $1600. The person that did the quote listed whatever he wanted to list that can come out of a 1 bedroom and included in the quote along with 10 boxes and. When I called to do the booking I told him exactly what I had, and he mentioned that removing the boxes wouldn’t make a big difference and the price would be the same because of the large items.
So I went with it (wrong decision #2). They made me pay roughly around $600 right away as a deposit. They scheduled my delivery for Sunday. I had to fly out to GA that Tuesday. On Thursday someone from the company claiming to be Quality Control called me to review the quote. We went over the items I had and the quote. He put me on hold to come back and said that my quote was going to go up by $600.After I went nuts, he reworked it down to $80 extra. After 30 minutes of arguing, I said forget it and agreed to pay the $80 extra (wrong decision #3). Sunday came. No phone call. No driver. Nothing. My stuff never got picked up. Who do I call on a Sunday? I wasn’t even given a driver number by the company that dispatched the driver and confirmed to me on Friday that the driver would come on Sunday. But NOTHING. I called Monday morning and they reached out to the dispatched company and blah blah. Called me back to say the driver canceled the job and was calling the company over the weekend to let them know. Not call me but the office in Florida, while I was home waiting with my stuff packed like a dummy.
They said they are going to find another company to pick up my items. They call me hours later and found a company that would pick Tuesday or Wednesday. Long story short it was going to be Wednesday so I ended up missing my flight, and paying $200 for it.
My pick up window was 12 pm -2 pm.
The guys didn’t come until 8 pm because they were picking up other items. Took 3 hours. They were very nice and professional. When they got done wrapping up my items nicely and loaded them up in the truck, came for some paperwork.
The guy informed me that my bill has to be recalculated because my items use more cubic foot than what was reserved. So I had the option to finalize by cubic foot right then and there or gamble on my items going to the warehouse and be weighted for them to come back and tell me some crazy price. Ok let me pay the difference of cubit footage. After calculations of his cubic footage boom $120 added to my bill. I paid for half of the remaining balance.
3 weeks later, and after couple of phone calls from me looking to get a delivery date that was supposed to happen 5-7 business days from pick up, my items get delivered.
Before they unload my items, I had to pay the driver, not knowing if all my items are there or damaged or anything. I give the driver the final $580 and he had to give me $5 of change. I am still thinking no big deal because I am going to tip the guys that are going to unload.
They unload all my stuff. My tall dresser came off JACKED UP, ready for trash. One of the guy told me that when furniture like that get transported and stuff it doesn’t usually stay together and blah blah.
They put my bed together. The driver who was not even part of the unloading crew, I guess had another delivery to make and wanted to go so he came upstairs and informed that they wouldn’t put together my desk back cause it’s too many pieces and they don’t put together furniture like that and blah blah. Even though the movers broke the desk down. Told me straight up NO we will not put it together. They packed up and left, I didn’t end up tipping the movers, I put back together my desk, and the driver still took with my $5 change.

Words experience ever.!!
They give a price over the phone after going over every item,and boxes we had,all to take my deposit.
When the moving day arrived,the truck driver when over everything,and call the company,and say that the 26 foot truck they send was not all for me,I suppose to used only have of the truck,base on the space the company set for us,we had a two story house with 3 rooms,two dining areas,and two living areas,plus around 50 already packed boxes..REALLY,ONLY HAVE A TRUCK.!!
Definitely and strategic way to get customers to pay more at the day of moving.
They wanted us to pay another $2700 after been contracted and paid a deposit of almost $2000..be careful people,NOT A TRUSTWORTHY COMPANY.!!

Our mover showed up with two guys. We were skeptical that our six bedroom house would fit into the trucks especially in a timely manner. The guys were real pros! Our belongings were packed tight into the truck (saving us money from having to get an additional truck.) The movers worked quickly and didn't complain when one of my children or dogs got in their way. They arrived in VA a few hours early and called us to see if they could come. Our things were unloaded and furniture was put back together. They were again patient making sure our boxes went into the rooms we wanted them to go into. I've moved plenty of times and this time thanks to the movers, was the easiest.

I was super stressed and worried about moving from California to Florida. However, Cross Country Moving Group made it a breeze for me. They worked fast, efficiently, and accommodated all the last minute changes I had for them. They were friendly and respectful, especially considering all the extra instructions I was giving them. I had some very fragile and sentimental pieces that I was worried about breaking, but they arrived perfectly intact. Whenever I had questions, their customer service responded quickly and took the time to explain everything to me to put my mind at ease. I couldn’t have done it without this company. They were all very professional and worked with the utmost care. I couldn’t ask for a better, stress-free experience! My wife recently got a job opportunity out of town so we were forced to pull up roots and move on out. We of course thought about doing it ourselves, but really didn't have the time since we both work full time and only had two weeks to pack up everything and be in LA in two weeks for my wife to start her job. We contacted a bunch of different moving companies, and read reviews online about each of them. Cross Country seemed like a solid fit and I would say that they did not disappoint. We were able to move out quickly and get into out new place without a big hassle and they got all of our stuff there in one piece.

I just wanted to do these guys a favor and leave a favorable review for them somewhere. Ive never moved cross country with so much stuff before and I wasn't sure if it was even worth doing it. I almost decided to just try and sell most of my stuff and buy new things after the move! But when a friend of mine who moved here from Colorado told me about her experience with Cross Country Moving Group I decided to give them a try and keep all the furniture and everything. Well I was really happy I mean it did cost over 2 grand but I would have spent that having to buy all new things anyway, so, everything went well and I'm happy I hired them. Thanks guys!

Cross Country Moving Group is simply the best..they
moved my mom over the weekend from Nevada to Tennessee and did a great job. The movers helped pack and move and the price was as they said when we reserved the move.
My mom is 86 and they were very patient and helpful which really means a lot.
I will use them myself for my move in 2 months and would definitely recommend them to anyone that is moving.

I was visiting my Grandma in Nevada. She asked me if I knew of an good company that does long distance moving service. She needed to move dresser from Nevada to Tennessee. It needed to be there in time for my Aunt's birthday. I told her that I saw an online ad for a moving company called Cross Country Moving Group. They have 5 star reviews from all their customers. I asked her if wanted me to give them a try. She said Yes. I called the company. A man spoke on the phone and answered the phone with a smile.I told him that I needed to do move a dresser from Nevada to Tennessee in time for my Aunt's birthday. He asked me about the address pickup and drop off location. I gave him the information. I made the appointment. On the day of the appointment, they arrived on time.They handled the dresser carefully and moved with outside the door to the moving truck. They even thanked me for my time. I will definitely recommended this service to all !

Wow, I am so glad that I finally found a reliable moving company that I can trust and recommend to my family and friends. We have used several movers in the past few years bc of relocating, employment opportunities, and family needs and this by far was one of the best experiences. Pricing was competitive, scheduling was easy, and service was perfect. I do not require much in the form of communication, just keep me updated on when everything is happening and time frames. I called Cross Country Moving when I needed a mover from Texas to Washington. It was a move for my husband as he has recently been relocated. We are a military family and tend to bounce around often. The army had moved us a couple times and a few other moves which we handled ourselves. Every time we used a mover we had a problem however working with Jacob at Cross Country Moving we did not run into any problems. He was so friendly, and gave us all the resources that we needed to make an educated decision on our own. The movers did show up 30 minutes late for pick-up which is the only reason I am leaving 4 out of 5 stars. They wrapped all the furniture and packed roughly 75 boxes for us. The delivery took a week which is very quick based on my past experiences moving over 2k miles and we are now settled in our new home. Usually, it is tough to find a company that offers cross country moves for a reasonable price; so I was very excited and surprised when I ran across the Cross Country Moving Group and they offered me exactly what I needed. My move was fairly last minute, and I was not at all prepared, but the staff at Cross County Moving Group provided the best customer service and moved my entire life from Florida to Texas within the agreed time frame and with everything in perfect condition.
