Cross Country Moving Group

I recently moved to New Jersey from Virginia for my new job and Cross Country Moving could not have made the process any easier! They were friendly and attentive through the whole process and made sure I had a good experience with them over anything else. They did arrive a few minutes late to drop off my things but that was because the weather was a little rough and they made up for it by sticking around to make sure everything was where I wanted it to be inside even after getting soaked from moving it in! Overall, this service was more than satisfactory. They treat you as if you are their only client and it makes for such a stress free process. I would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for a moving service.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2900

This is a terrible experience!! I have moved a lot, but this company has made my moving experience terrible!! There’s a lot of misunderstanding between me and the office. Danielle didn’t tell me that it would take up to 17 days to transport my stuff from Ohio to Florida on the first email. When the driver picked up my stuff on the 17th, he asked me what day it was the best for them to deliver my stuff, I said “late afternoon on the 20th or on the 21st”. I moved in my new place on the 20th, and two weeks later, I STILL do not have any furniture. I have been sitting on the floor for two weeks! They overcharged me $200 because I didn’t pack the TV right and a few other things. Why did the driver ask me which day was best for them to deliver my stuff? If he knew that it would take more than 2 weeks to deliver my stuff?
I’m still mad, because I sill don’t have the furniture!! I’ve been [EDIT] at the senior coordinator and the manager almost everyday. First they said that my stuff would be here YESTERDAY, then I bet it won’t getvhere today, because they have not called me 24 hours ago. If they don’t deliver my stuff AFTER the 17th day, they break the contract!! This is the WORST moving experience!!

The manager said if I don’t pay them at the pickup, they would take my stuff to a storage in NJ and it’s my responsibility to go up there and get my stuff my stuff!

I get so nervous and I don’t trust them!

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1745

This company contracts with other moving companies that are unreliable and unprofessional. First of all when I signed up for this move I made it very clear when I needed my things delivered by and the salesman on the phone assured me that my things would be delivered on time. The day of the move comes and no one shows up. I literally wait all day with my phone by my side waiting for a call. No call, no text, no voicemail received. So I call the moving company and they say someone did try to contact me (:-/) and now my things wouldn’t be picked up for another two days. The movers show up and two of them do not know what they are doing and appear to be extra muscle just hired that day for extra muscle. Now it is two days past the day I expected my things to be delivered and the moving company cannot even tell me an ETA. Every time I call their answer has been they don’t know. Apparently my stuff is just sitting in a warehouse in a freight somewhere. Do not use this company.

I was born and raised in the greatest city in the world, New York City. But, when I decided to take a leap of faith and leave the concrete jungle of which I love to move to Florida, I immediately was deeply anxious of moving. I found Cross Country Moving Group through a friend and I don’t regret choosing them for their guidance and help. When contacting them, the representative was extremely professional and calmed every nerve in my body. They gave me a quote of the price and by the end of that day, I was set for a time and date the movers would be there. They came and was very careful with my valuables, were very courteous, and kind. Being a young single woman moving across states was terrifying! But, I am now in my new home, unpacked (they helped with that too), and settled for my new life ahead.

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Moving is stressful for everyone. It is chaotic and messy. But trying to move two families to a different state makes it 100 times more stressful. Cross Country Moving Group was helpful and kind even with all of my questions. Getting a quote was easy and they offered plenty of options to choose from, and help every step of the way. They were able to accommodate all of my needs without a problem. I would highly recommend CCMG to anyone looking to move. The prices are worth the high-quality customer service I received. They were attentive when moving and helped me stay organized.

I booked their service TWO months ahead. Everything seemed fine until pickup date was approaching. First, I was told that they can not come the dates I requested. Then, they called me next day said they could come to pick up on the 1st date during the original pick up window. On the proposed pick-up day, I was contacting them and trying to figure out exact time, they told me:1). the truck was having issues; 2). they can come two days later than originally proposed dates. I canceled the service and booked a U-box with U-haul.

I am at a remote location, they should have done their studies and learn the risk instead of assuming that all the work orders are the same. I think the story behind is they can not find a truck driver / real mover that they all can make money from. They MIGHT be taking a passive aggressive approach to let me cancel the service instead of telling me they can not. Bottom lines, these people do not seem sharp and professional at all. For instance, they say they will call you within an hour and they don't.

I would also be aware of the seemingly fake reviews from Google. Looking closely, many contributors did not have a real profile set up: no photos, no other contributions. I would be aware of that.

Lastly, keep in mind, they are a moving broker, not real movers. They specified that in their agreement/work order. If that is something you are looking for, then go ahead.

This is the first of what will be two reviews. The lead up to our move was important because…life happens. I had arranged our move with Ron and paid our down payment. Within days, our circumstances changed and we weren’t going anywhere. Yes, it was within the three-day refund period so I would have expected to get my down payment returned. What I did not expect from Ron or Frank was to be treated with not only respect befitting the situation but a very real understanding and uncompromising effort to help make our situation better even if they never saw a cent – which they had no reason to believe they would.

Ultimately, the move became a reality and I called Ron and Frank. I think they were happily surprised, but not as much as I was to be welcome back like a long-lost family member. They sent Patrick and his crew and the move went smoothly and quickly. Couldn’t ask for more. My belongs are now safely in storage at my destination city (thanks, Frank). When we find the house of our dreams, our life belongings will be taken home and I will have every reason to write another glowing review.

DO NOT BOOK!! DO NOT BOOK!! I cannot stress this enough!! This is NOT a moving company and is a moving BROKER. This means they estimate your move and then hire the cheapest company they can find to perform the services. How convenient that a bunch of Google reviewers, who have never reviewed a company thought it necessary to give CC Moving Group 5 stars. If you want legitimate reviews, look them up under their previous name National Moving Group that they no doubt switched from due to poor customer service and complaints. 1.5/5 on Yelp!!

In my case, the company Cross Country hired, "Simplified Solutions" has been awful!. They showed up 7 hours late, charged me an extra $1000 and then took off with all the paperwork and Bill of Lading!! The receipt they emailed me has no phone number and when I looked them up it came up as Ross Trucking and their phone is disconnected. They have one review and it is from someone who hired CC moving group and got sent Simplified and is dealing with the same issues as myself, their belongings not being delivered. They give you a three day window for delivery and then when you call Cross Country (because the moving company doesn't have a working phone) to find out where your things are, they tell you they don't have a truck available and push you off a week!! A moving company that doesn't have a truck!! So go rent a Uhaul!! Nope, why would they do that when they can just not deliver your belongings instead. I tried calling again for updates and they are screening my call and won't return any messages.

So they knew the company they hired was bad, yet they hired them again so I could deal with the same problems!?!? Do yourself a favor, Google Ross Allied Trucking and ask yourself if you want to be in the same position as that reviewer or myself. I closed on a new house a week ago and still do not have my things and am forced to spend money on a hotel. I am doubting whether I will ever even see my belongings again and I have not one piece of paper because the mover claimed he needed it, jumped in the truck, and then took off. Multiple calls to Cross Country and I've been told on numerous occasions they will send over my documents and all that has led to is unreturned phone calls.

DO NOT HIRE THESE CROOKS!! LOOK UP NATIONAL MOVING GROUP AND YOU WILL SEE THE TRUTH!

The idea of moving across country kept me up for weeks.  With five kids and three dogs, I was so nervous. I figured this move would have been a complete nightmare. My husband recommended we find movers to help, but I was reluctant to the idea.  I’ve always been one to plan and coordinate everything myself. I finally had enough of the stress and caved in.
We found Cross Country and I could not have been more impressed. They were easy to get ahold of and answered all my questions. The movers were so polite. Even the dogs liked them!They respected my wishes and made plans that fit perfectly. When the big day came around, they were there on time and ready to work.They helped pack, unpack and carried all of the large item. Thanks to Cross Country taking on all the stress, all we had to do was load up the family and we were on our way.

This company is the real deal when it comes to quality service for great pricing. The booking process was relatively easy and uncomplicated. These guys did great. We had a move scheduled for Easter Sunday, and these showed up on time and ready to work. They loaded up the truck in less than an hour and unloaded it just as promptly. They were very nice and none of our stuff was damaged in transport. They know how to tightly pack everything and their boss was very responsive to our requests and questions. I've already scheduled a second move with them!

This company is one of the best decisions I have made. I needed to move from Del Ray to Kokomo, IN for a job. I contacted Cross Country Moving Group to inquire about their service. I was shocked to find reasonable prices. I hired them for the move and they surpassed my expectations. I found them to be incredibly professional and warm. They treated our belongings with the utmost care. They had us set up in our new home in no time. They helped unpack and had us feeling like we were already getting accustomed to our new surroundings before they even left. Great hire.

Moved from Illinois to Florida and normally would have rented a truck myself to complete the move. But with a baby and 3 dogs, I didn’t want to worry about managing the move. I am pretty possessive over how my things are handled, and was skeptical about hiring someone to travel long distances with my belongings. But I needed someone to do it, so I contacted Cross Country for a quote. I liked the idea of hiring a local Florida company close to where I would be relocating, and ultimately went with them based on price. They were responsive and handled everything with great care!

I can't say enough about how Cross Country Moving is the way to go. Not only did they do the work on finding the best rate they answered my numerous questions and was patient with me. We had help packing and all of our things were handled with exceptional care. It made the move less stressful and was worth every penny. My husband relocated for work and we are a family of 4 and we didn't have the hassle of moving any of it. I would use them again if we were to ever move again.

After an unfortunate time in Texas, my husband, toddler, cat, and myself, would be on our way to move to Florida. We already moved ourselves from California to Texas and we vowed to never to that again as it was a stressful mess. We reached out to Cross Country Moving Group and they saved my sanity. They were upfront about their pricing and their abilities. They even helped us with packing which was a lifesaver, especially since my toddler was having a difficult time with the entire transition. The movers were friendly and knowledgeable about any questions or concerns I had and everything was done in an extremely timely manner. We can't thank them enough for making our transition much easier than we ever thought!

Cross Country Movers were one of several companies given to me by my employer for my family and I to use for our move to California. After speaking to several other people who have used them, we decided to contract them out for our move. We couldn’t have been happier with them. They showed up on time, and within minutes were prepping and hauling my furniture. None of the movers slowed down. I had zero damage done during my move. They were quick to respond to questions and you can tell they know what they are doing. Cross Country Movers made the moving process so much easier than I thought it could be/ I would highly recommend them to anyone moving from state to state.

Moving across state lines is 1000% more of a hassle than moving across a city. But, Cross Country Movers to the rescue! The movers were friendly and quite personable, as opposed to being robotic and stoic, which I can appreciate. They earned every bit of their tip by being careful with all of our items and respecting our household (even though we were moving :). We started pretty late in the process and didn't contact Cross Country Movers until the very last minute -- but they were accommodating and able to quote us almost immediately. Great experience overall, thank you Cross Country Movers for making everything easy!

Do not use this company. They contract with thieves. Most specifically cobra van lines. First of all when I changed my final count of boxes I took out of the equation a large piece of exercise equipment & added 2 cardboard boxes of clothes. So I was told that it would now be an extra 350$. I called my rep & told him that I felt totally taken advantage of. He was sympathetic. But nothing else. Maybe I’m naive but I had no idea it would cost me an extra 45$ to use my debit card upon pick up. After I returned to ny the day after Xmas they call to say they will be here in an hour. They claimed they tried to call me yesterday(Xmas) but I have no record of any calls AND since their van couldn’t fit on my street( they CAN. It’s been done before)it would cost me another 350$ for them to transfer to a shuttle. I had to run out & come up with money I hadn’t budgeted. The boxes came pretty much destroyed which is a pain bc I’m moving again so I don’t want to unpack & repack again THE ICING ON THE CAKE WAS THAT ALL MY JEWELRY WAS GONE. or stolen. No one had seen it no one knew where it was. It’s gone. My Jewelry my mother’s jewelry my grandmothers jewelry. It’s gone. I called both companies & got a lot of I don’t knows & can't help me. No compensation. My fault since I didn’t insure that particular box but I was new at this doing it all on my own. Please. Bypass this company & cobra van lines.

I had only used a moving company once before this experience and that went fine enough, but it's scary trusting a company with all my stuff. I was recommended this company when I needed to move from Tuscon - Bakersfield by a friend who had used them before and I decided to give them a go. I gave them a call, set everything up, and then got ready to move. On moving day, they showed up and moved my stuff without a hitch. We took our animals and drove to the new place in Cali. Day of move-in, they showed up, moved our stuff, and that was that! That's really all I want in a moving company and will be using them again if I ever move more than a few hundred miles.

They feed you a bunch of lies to get your money and then sub out the actual move to not one but two different companies, and then are completely useless after that. I knew they were a broker, so I thought I was buying a SERVICE; nope. I had to do all the coordination and communication between the two TERRIBLE subcontractors they hired to actually do the work. I was told by CCM that my items would arrive in 4 days.. 4 WEEKS later and I was still sleeping on an air mattress. On top of that, Kyler talked me out of getting insurance to cover my belongings because "items never go missing, you don't even need it." Shame on me for being so naive; lesson learned. When the subcontractor FINALLY delivered my belongings my 6ft book shelf and iron nightstand were completely dismembered, my wooden bar stools had huge chips in them, and they LOST a wardrobe box containing my most expensive work clothes. Don't bother filing a claim unless you keep receipts for every single thing you own. You're better off renting a truck and driving it yourself which is exactly what I'll be doing when I have to move back in a year.
This wouldn't be an accurate review if I didn't mention the two nice gentlemen from CCM that came to pick up my belongings. They seemed to be very careful in packing everything, so I have no idea how the subcontractors managed to destroy my items mentioned above.

From start to finish Cross Country Moving Group made my families move an absolute breeze! They were on time and efficient in loading and unloading all of our belongings. They took the stress out of moving and made life easy! The moving crew took wonderful care and concern while moving our valuables. They were extremely polite and easy to work with! I wouldn’t hesitate to use Cross Country Moving group again in the future. Thank you for making my move easy and stress free!

Moving is already a hard enough experience, but Cross Country Moving Group made it an easy painless experience for my move from MA to FL. They treated all of my belongings as if they were their own, wrapping up my mattresses, bubble wrapping my fragile items, and disassembling my furniture and wrapping it all up to protect it. The movers were friendly and respectful the whole time they were in my home and were pleasant to work with. My belongings arrived in perfect condition at my new home and arrived in a timely fashion. Could not recommend Cross Country Moving Group more for your moving experience.
