Long-distance move from Texas to Tennessee

Its in the name.

This company is something else. They overcharged me by One Thousand Dollars saying my items in storage weighed more than what was listed.  The delivery times and dates changed several times. It took the movers over an hour to locate my things on the truck before they started to bring them into my house.   After I contacted BBB and let the Sales Director know my concerns, the response I received was unprofessional. They responded in all caps and with exclaimation marks. No concern or care.  This move with Condor was the worst mistake I've made in a long time. .

Terrible Mover do Not Use.

The worst mover I have ever used by far. Broken items, deeply scratched furniture, sounds of breaking glass and marble as they loaded items into the truck. Everything they touched was broken and it was sickening to see them load and unload. They don't show up on time, and they way underestimated the amount of time it took to do the work. Claims were not paid. They offered $600 less a $500 deductible for over $3,000 in damage. Do not use this place if you care are all about your stuff.

Long-distance move from Texas to Virginia

Turned my world upside down.

Condor and I entered into a contract that required a 10% deposit on signing and 50% of the remaining balance upon pickup, which, I paid early. The contract was signed and a pick up date established. Less than 24 hours before my move was scheduled, Condor called to cancel. Because it was not cost effective for them to come to San Antonio to get my stuff, even though I paid an additional $100 surcharge for this, which, was added after the original quote. My house was packed, the trip planned, I was due in VA in 5 days to start a new job and my movers, who I paid and had a contract, refused to move me. Furthermore, they told me I had not yet been charged, which I had. I have begged for communications in writing and have begged for the owner to contact me and no one has done either. I spent the entire day in tears and collecting outrageous moving quotes because I need to move in one day. Condor completely took no responsibility and has completely put me in a panic. So, if you like stress, crying, panic and an utter sense of helplessness, please use Condor. Also, the internet is full of warnings, I only wish I had read beforehand.

Long-distance move from Texas to Oregon

Absolute nightmare !!

I don’t even know where to begin in this total nightmare. We hired Condor Moving Systems in Arlington, TX. to move us from Texas to Oregon. When my fiancé called, she talked to a guy named Mario. While discussing our options, she specifically told Mario that we had heard that some moving companies are actually brokers and do not own their own fleet of trucks. We did not want our belongings to be switched from truck to truck simply because the more it is handled, the more likely it is to get damaged. Mario told us that they were not brokers and that the 18 wheeler that showed up at my door would be the same truck that would carry our belongings to Oregon. We continued calling moving companies and getting estimates but we kept Condor Moving Systems in our minds as an option. Mario had specifically asked us if they would be able to park an 18 wheeler outside of our house. We said, "Yes." That question led us to believe that an 18 wheeler would be showing up at our door. We were shocked when a 26 foot truck showed up at our door. This truck would go & unload our belongings to another facility where they would be unloaded and then reloaded onto the 18 wheeler heading out to Oregon. We were never told that this would happen. We wouldn't have agreed to having our belongings switched from truck to truck. The Guy that arrived with the small truck (and his crew) have so far been the only people at Condor Moving Systems to follow through on their promises. My fiance called Condor Moving Systems nearly every day to check on the status of the truck because they would not call us with updates. Every day she got a different eta on when our belongings would be put on the truck for Oregon. After several days, we were told that Condor Moving Systems would be sending our belongings on an 18 wheeler all to themselves. Our belongings wouldn't have to share the 18 wheeler with anybody else's belongings.
A few days after pickup, we received a call from Condor stating that we owed them more money because our load weighed more than THEY had estimated. This left both of us scratching our heads. We had already given them a complete list of what they would be picking up. We even called them back several times to edit the list because we sold some things before we moved. We reviewed the list and respective weights prior to pickup and we quickly noticed that almost every item was logged as weighing more than it actually does. We were satisfied because that meant that we were “covered” because many of the items weighed nowhere near what they had estimated. This was good. It was determined by Condor that we should have about 80 boxes, aside from all the furniture and other items already on the roster. When it was all said and done, we ended up with about 136 boxes. We were told that this is where the extra weight came from and that Condor’s shipping software has built in weight for items and  box size. What is an average box? Well, let’s go back to grade school for a simple refresher in mathematics. 136 boxes minus 80 boxes leaves 56 boxes. Take the amount we were overcharged (approximately $2500.00) and divide by 56. This gives you a weight of about 46 pounds per box over. Having previously owned a swimming pool, I am all too familiar with what 50 pounds feels like because that is exactly what a canister of chlorine weighs. These boxes did not weigh 46 pounds each. Did we have other items? Of course we did. In fact, we had a total of about 205 pieces total. 136 were boxes and most of the rest was what they gave us an estimate for prior. There were other light weight items as well. Such as plastic vanity waste baskets, 2 aluminum ladders, ice chest, etc. The majority of the weight was pre-determined. Mario gave us a  “max” monetary figure that we were told would be the absolute worse case scenario. This far exceeded that. It became clear that Condor was out to cheat us and having read others reviews about this company, our suspicions were validated. It seems this bait and switch scam has been in practice for quite some time at Condor. All the way back to 2009 to be exact. The common denominator in almost every complaint is this scam. They are nice and friendly up front and give you a quote based on your inventory and even give you a maximum amount as a worst case scenario. The scam comes in to play when they give you a lowball estimate to get you to commit and call after they have your goods stating that you owe more money because they lowballed the estimate to hook you. If there were just a few isolated claims, I could see where there may have been bad communication or a misunderstanding. However, there are a multitude (many, many) of complaints about this company all over the web and nearly all of them involve complaints about this scam. You also find out after the fact that your belongings are not insured if you pack them yourself.
We were told that we could be present during the weighing of the truck. What they do not tell you is that your belongings are on the same 53’ trailer as the belongings of four other poor cheated souls in other locations. So, it is impossible to know what “your” section of the load weighs unless you unload the entire truck, leave & weigh it, and then come back and reload and go  weigh again. The driver that delivered stated that he was not told to weigh the truck before coming to deliver. Since they arrived after dark, there was no place to take it to get it weighed.  He also would not take a cashiers check. This,  after Nisrine stated very clearly that she called & told him to accept it. So, the driver refused to unload our belongings because it would get him in trouble with his boss, neither of which are employed by Condor. At this point, we were at our wits end. We were so sick of having to continually re-live this ongoing nightmare with this company. After about an hour of trying to reach someone at Condor, we finally just left a message. Jessie called back and asked to speak to the driver. Twenty minutes later, we were back on track. The driver insisted that Nisrine had not called him with instructions to take the check. Someone lied. The driver showed us his call history and guess what? There were no calls from any Arlington based numbers. The drivers also come unequipped. No tools…nothing. They wanted to borrow our tools to do their job. I told them they were out of luck because my tools were packed on the truck. After getting the truck unloaded and furniture assembled, the driver insisted that we sign off on the paperwork even though boxes were missing. He said if we did not, he would get in trouble with his boss. We signed it, but we also got a signed affidavit from him stating exactly what happened. We mentioned in conversation to the driver what Condor had done to us in regard to the “overweight” boxes. He made the comment that our items were light in weight & weighed nowhere near 46 lbs. per unit. He also stated that he & his assistant were horrified as they witnessed the way in which Condor employees loaded the truck. They could not believe what they were seeing. Throwing boxes & stacking light boxes under heavier boxes which led to a lot of our damage. Aside from the boxes, we were also missing a 20 foot extension ladder and a professional grade aluminum dolly that I used in my previous line of work. The drivers finally left our house at 2am exhausted, as were we.
When my fiancé contacted Condor about the missing items, she talked to Nisrine. Nisrine promised us reimbursement outside of their 3rd party claim office for the ladder & dolly because of all the grief we had been thru at this point. As of today, all we have received is the money for the ladder. I talked to a guy at Condor about the dolly. He was very condescending and insinuated that I had picked out this particular dolly because it was one of the upper end dollies & was more expensive. He said it seemed odd that I picked out such an expensive one to be reimbursed for. I could not believe the audacity in this statement! I told him that the dolly costs less now than when I bought it years ago. So, if my intention was to cheat him, I would have claimed what I paid for it, not what it is selling for now. He tried to lowball me citing depreciation issues. What does depreciation have to do with them losing my dolly? He also stated that he might get in trouble if he paid me the full amount. He stated that he would look into it further & call me back. Two weeks passed and you know what? No one ever called….as has become expected at this point. I emailed Nisrine because no one wants to talk and asked her about the status of my dolly because the guy never called me back. She emailed back and stated she would have to inquire about it. After not hearing back from her, I emailed again the next day to which she replied,”After speaking with Emit you need to go ahead and send a claim for the dolly with items that your fiance had said she was filing a claim for.” I could not believe what I was reading! We do not have a problem filing a claim for all the items that your people damaged or even the items in the boxes that are still missing. Our problem is that this woman promised us reimbursement and has failed to follow through. So, yet another empty promise. You know what? You should not have misplaced it!  While we are on the subject, how does someone misplace a 20 foot extension ladder and a 4 foot tall aluminum dolly? In retrospect, after reading a multitude of negative reviews, it seems that my ladder was not the first ladder that got “misplaced”. Bicycles seem to mysteriously disappear with this company as well. I strongly urge any prospective customers to read reviews for Condor Moving Systems before committing. It is absolutely appauling reading about the horrible things this company has done to its customers!
I really wish we had done better research and had seen all the horrible reviews before we committed to use this company. We both regret using them now. There is a reason why this company does not have a BBB (Better Business Bureau) logo on their website. They have not earned it. I urge you to go and read the complaints there. Their stories are nearly identical to ours.

Condor Moving Systems Dallas.

They lied to us from the beginning - they damaged and destroyed and lost many of our belongings.  When confronted they were vicious! I have photographs of everything and can take and will take a polygraph against them as to the truth.  They are a crooked ruthless company!  Wolves in Sheeps clothing! I am filing against them with the PUC and every other protection agency and filing suit. There was too much devastation to be able to put it all here.. we will be filing suit against this crooked abusive company as well. I am sure that any good reviews are written by the owners their family members and friends. The bad reviews fit what we experienced at their ruthless hands!    .

Worst ever! Don't use them.

I've moved over 5 times in my life thus far at reasonable prices and this company by far is the worst I've experienced! They lie about what they can do when setting up your move and kick you in the face upon pick up! My move was totally confusing! I explained what I needed in the beginning and was quoted one price and now it's 2k more! I needed storage for five months then delivery they quoted 500.00 a month for their storage unit! Who do they think they are, Fort Knox? U-haul doesn't even charge that for the largest unit they have. The driver tore down a tree limb and one of the packers broke my trim on my hardwood floor and didn't tell me! They wanted me to pay them when delivering to my own unit and then a whole new contract to come back and pick it up once I'm ready for delivery! Are you serious? The only way to keep that from happening is to use their 500.00 dollar a month storage unit! Total that would cost me over 10k for a local move in Texas! Don't use them guys they are full of it!

Long-distance move from Texas to Washington DC

Awful Movers.

Give zero stars..having moved over 10 times in my life this was the most outrageous movers I have ever had the misfortune to encounter.  First, when I book the movers and received the estimate I was clear that I wanted to use my credit card for tax purposes.  I was told this was fine.  When the movers arrived to my home to collect my belongings, everything went smoothly.  I had no additional fees for stairs.  I lived on the 3rd floor.  No additional charges for hallways.  I paid with my credit card.  The mover gave me a total and I paid half of the bill and told him I would pay the other half upon arrival of my things.  Two days later I receive another email with additional charges over the bill that was given to me for over 200 additional dollars over the binding contract I had signed upon collecting my belongings and that the balance must be paid in cash.  I didn't question the additional charges and prepared to pay them in the requested cash.  Upon the delivery of my items the movers called me several times asking for more money.  I live in a building that is adjacent to a grocery store with a loading dock in which 18 wheeler trucks frequently load and unload.  The driver insisted that I pay him more money so that he can unload and load my truck to a smaller rig because he said the 18 wheeler would not fit on the loading alley.  A blatant lie!!  I agreed to pay the fee and asked if that was the total fee that I should pay on arrival of my things because I didn't have any additional money.  The driver told me yes.  He asked me if I had stairs and informed me that I would have to pay an additional 75 dollars per flight of stairs.  I told him no..he said that is the total fee.  He arrives to my apartment then proceeds to tell me that he forgot to tell me that if I had to pay him to bring my belongings from the elevator to my apartment because the hallway was long.  He said that I would have to pay 75 more dollars in cash again to move things down the hall.  I said I didn't have the money and he yelled at me to call the company.  I called the moving company and they waived the fee but the operator was extremely rude to me.  He yelled at me and stated I waived the fee but do me a favor "read your contract".  A binding contract can't be changed after it is signed and a person has to agree to the changes.  I didn't agree to these additional charges! Finally, the movers began to bring my belongings into the apartment.  Every box that I had so meticulously packed was smashed!  Not one..or two..every last box! I had a rolling desk and it was completely broken..the base and legs were completely broken off!! Continuously during this delivery I made to feel like the driver would leave my belongings anywhere if I didn't pay the extra money as though my belongings were taken hostage. This was the most stressful outrageous movers I have ever encountered in my life.  I am reporting this to the BBB and the Department of Transportation and Federal Motor Safety Carrier Administration.

Long-distance move from California to Minnesota

Fast & Satisfied relocation.

I was referred to condor moving systems by one of my colleague who had used their services earlier. When I contacted them, the salesperson very attentively listen to my requirement regarding movement and he also explained the whole scenario of his company with the services they can offer. I had moved with condor from CA to Minnesota last month and this movement cost me $382 ($362  & $20 as tip to crew members). They have reached my relocated place quite early as they have told me at the starting of contract that  the crew might take 1 week to reach. But they reach with in 4 days inspite of so many tolls in the route. They have loaded and unloaded my house goods quite safely and we are satisfied by their work. We will surely recommend condor to our friends, infact we have done to one.   Dean.

Long-distance move from Austin, TX to Denver, CO

Worst ever.

Worst Moving Company EVER! The only good thing about this company is MARIO, but then after that process its horrible. My contract says they were to be picking my items up on Sunday, they wait three days before my move to tell me they can't on Sunday when I specifically told them it had to be Sunday because my lease ends Sunday. The operations manager JESSE was the worst and sarcastic. He gave me no option or even tried to fix the issue. I was surprisingly told to ask the front office if I could extend one more day or I would have to find a different company even though I put a deposit down. None of those options were helping me only them, I finally talked to my front office into extending one more night and they said yes but there would be a charge. so I called the company back and they said they could only take 40 off but anything higher would have to go through approval?? I called several companies and no one could send out a truck a short notice. THREE DAYS and especially before a weekend is unacceptable. JESSE was rude and quick to cancel my move ready to leave my stuff outside due to I had no one to pick it up or no other movers plus I am pregnant so I could not do any heavy lifting. they were suppose to call the next day with a time on Monday and never did so I went ahead and canceled and even after the whole thing they still refused to reimbursed my deposit regardless of how much they screwed up. at the end I think I dodged a bullet with this one, so everyone watch out they just seem pretty scamming to me.

Long-distance move from Little Elm, TX to Colorado Springs, CO

Worst Ever.

We used them to move from Dallas to Colorado, very sad we did.

They started by arguing with us that they could fit our stuff in a smaller truck then we requested. Come to find out, that is the only truck they own, and they didn't want to rent a bigger truck.

So they show up, 3 hours late, with a crew of 4. One of which never got off his phone, causing arguments between him and the crew chief, delaying work more.Took over 7 hours to pack the house, previous 2 moves were done in 4 hrs. They excessively used cheap tape on everything, including sealed boxes and sealed container, but don t worry they will bill you for it. Then took everything we owned out of the shade of our garage, and moved the same piles in the blazing sun, to sit. They then tagged literally everything with another sticker with a number. Why is my stuff baking for more stickers? Why am I paying 4 guys to tape finished boxes for hours? Oh so I could pay them for supplies that weren't needed, but there, so they had to use it right?

In the end we had to leave two items, pack items in our vehicles, because literally packed floor to ceiling, front to back they didn't have enough space. The truck extended 3' but they didn't have the proper cover with them.

We had to have our mother in law come watch them finish as we had 5 hrs to drive an had expected to leave hours earlier. Also had to pay the cleaning lady more as even she had to leave and come back she was so tired of waiting.

No communication from driver till we called. Find out he is south of us, fined for being overweight, and not allowed to drive. He sneaks out later, literally snuck out, drives to the Springs, but couldn't get a hotel room?? So they drove two hours south?? And yes we got charged mileage for that..Then driver claims never updated phone, so called us an hour after they we supposed to be unloading, to tell us they were still 2 hrs south. Odd, my cell phone updated all on its own..

Then they arrived with only 2 of the 4 crew and proceeded to unload for 8 hours. Yes charging is OT, but we were promised 4 crew??

I started unloading just to get them out of my house for crying out loud.

Damaged the master bed, master dresser. Items of both our kids. Every picture with glass, no longer has glass. Still swear we are missing 2 boxes, at least 1. We had non hazardious liquids in several boxes smashed and leaking. My grandmas severing bowl passed down to us, was crushed by a packing strap that was crushing the box.

We tried to reach the company by phone, email, smoke signal, carrier pigeon..but not a single person has shown enough respect to answer ANYTHING, not a single responce.

You want to be lied to, over charged, have your schedules ruined, stuff broke, tapped, and stickered..this horrible excuse for a moving company is your pick.

To add to the enjoyment you'll spend months in arbitration and hours fillling claims to fix your life. And everywhere you look you'll have little yellow stickers to remind you of the horrific move.

Local move from Dallas, TX to Arlington, TX

Nightmare in Dallas.

I don't know where to start. The owner of the company came to give me a quote. He seemed very nice and personable. He assured me that his company would take care of me and my family and gave me a very reasonable quote. We talked about our things arriving to our new home (from Dallas to VA) 3 days after being loaded onto the truck. The day of movers were on time and absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately, that's where the service STOPPED.
We were first told that the truck would be a day later than originally anticipated. It was then that I learned that they put our things on a semi loaded with others' belongings. This was never discussed with me the day of. Had I known, I would NEVER had hired this company.
We were then told it would be a couple MORE days because the truck broke down. Meanwhile, we are in our new home in our new state with NOTHING- with our two young children. No cookware, no beds, no towels, no lunchboxes for school, no school clothes, etc.
THEN we were told (by the driver) that he would be even more late because he was delivering other things to other people in other states. Probably with our stuff on the back.
THEN I was told that the truck was broken down still. The stories did not add up and Condor continued offering false promises and apologies and excuses.
NOW, the delivery driver is refusing to give me ANY updates as to the whereabouts of our things or even a possible delivery date. No responses from Condor. No answers. Just excuses.
This has been such a nightmare and has put such a stain on this entire move. I have no idea if we will ever see our things again. Some of my items belong to my late husband who died in the line of duty. I had planned to pass them down to our son. Now I may never have the chance. Think twice before you hire this moving company. LOOK AT EVERY WORD IN THE CONTRACT.

Complaint.

We contracted with Condor Moving Systems in November of 2017 for a move on December 27, 2017. We were guaranteed by Condor Moving Systems that the furniture would be pad wrapped; furniture that was disassembled would be reassembled by the movers; custom boxes would be used for the artwork; and the floor would be covered with a special covering so the marble would not be damaged. We were billed a total of $3,584.50 to move 1.2 miles.

We notified the moving company immediately via email on January 2, 2018 that they had not fulfilled their contractual obligations and detailed the damage and listed the missing items from the shipment. We were billed $1,780.00 for custom boxes for our artwork, which we did not receive and, even though we have requested reimbursement for that charge, we have received none. We were billed $389.00 for special floor covering to protect the marble floors. However, they didn’t cover the area to the garage where they transported the boxes nor part of the master bedroom. We requested a 25% reduction in the amount we were billed but have not received anything to date. The furniture was not pad wrapped and several items were damaged in the move.

The missing items total approximately $382.99 and Condor Moving Systems refused to pay for them. They even refused to look for them on the truck they had used to transport our household goods. The total amount of our claim is $5,178.93. Anthem Claim Management offered $123.00, which even if we agreed to it, would not even cover the cost of the missing items. Anthem also states that there is no guarantee that Condor Moving Systems would even pay that paltry amount. Anthem states that the weight in pounds of our shipment was 205 pounds. However, the shipment was not weighed leaving or arriving at the final destination. How they arrived at that figure is not noted. When we notified Condor Moving Systems that the settlement amount was unacceptable, they simply responded by writing "We understand your frustration and apologize for any inconvenience; however, all claims are final." It is obvious that Condor Moving Systems is not a legitimate business enterprise given the fact that they would not even reimburse us for items that were damaged by their movers or for the missing items. They abdicated total responsibility for non-delivery of services, missing and damaged items to Anthem Claim Management. We have been advised that even if we were to take Condor Moving Systems to small claims court, it is doubtful that the company would abide by a judge and/or a mediator's decision. We hope this complaint will save others from a disastrous and very expensive nightmare. Consumers should read the reviews carefully before making any decisions with regards to selecting a moving company. Two words sum up this company: breathtakingly dishonest. There have to be some legitimate companies in the Dallas area. If only we had found one before contracting with Condor Moving Systems. We will be posting a review on You Tube because, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Long-distance move from Houston, TX to Boncarbo, CO

Hidden Gem of a Moving Company.

Words cannot express how grateful I am to the team at Condor Moving systems. The whole team of guys did a marvelous job in moving all of my belongings carefully and efficiently. There are times that it hurts shelling out money to pay a move or tip movers, but not this time. It was worth every penny and perhaps more.

I have moved multiple times - Colorado to Houston, then back to Houston from Colorado - and this was by far the best experience. They didn't stop. The team were like an army of ants that swarmed my apartment, grabbing anything and everything in sight. Everything was packed quickly and efficiently, but delicately if there was a fragile item. You could tell they know how to work hard and not stop until the job is complete. Yet, they are cheerful, pleasant to be around and while extremely hard working, had fun with each other.

Thank you Condor Moving Systems for making this moving experience so effortless and phenomenal. Great company to work with if you’re looking for a true team of experienced professionals!

A solid moving job.

Nobody likes have to moving, but I’ll be damned if Condor didn’t make it a surprisingly easy affair! Offering professional moving crews, reasonable rates, and a helpful home office (thank you Mario!), Condor saved my butt when it was time to move from Texas to Massachusetts. They showed-up on time, did everything faster than they estimated, and had my entire life safely packed up and transported halfway across the country. My best advice? Make it clear what you’re looking for when you talk to them. Condo can scale to meet your demands, so if you only need to move a few rooms, let them know and they can accommodate that! Need to move a whole house? They did that too! Definitely would use again!

Take Me Home, Country Roads!

Just moved home to West Virginia after years of living in Texas. Leaving the big city, there was a part of me that was afraid it would be hard to find a moving company that could find the address. Condor Moving Systems made the whole process easy and fearless. They got us all packed up and helped situate us in our new home. There was a small hiccup when the drivers reached an area with no cell service or GPS, but we were able to get the issue resolved. My only complaint was that they tracked in a little mud. It was raining when we arrived, and they put down a mat to walk on, but some of the mud still got on the floor. Better than waiting an extra day to unload, though.

Do not use!! Dishonest all around!!

DO NOT use them! They are the WORST moving company out there. The pick up drivers were MIA the day of pickup the home office couldn't even find them they showed up 3 1/2 hours later and the lead told me he had just gotten up. During the 5 1/2 hours they were there all the lead did was complain about EVERYTHING. Every trip to the truck he took a smoke break. The other guy with the lead asked me to give him the tip and not the lead since he was the only one working since the leads was always either smoking or on the phone. This was a 2 hour job at the max since we barely had items. The heaviest items were washed and dryer. A few days after the picked up took place the guys that were going to make the deliver called me to schedule the delivery, that is when I find out that I still owed $1600 at time of delivery. However the quote provided to me was $1300 and I had already paid close to $700 between deposit and another amount I gave the pick up guys. The home office states that I had a "L" shape desk that was not originally in the quote and the were charging me $900 for it because of the weight. This desk cost me $99 at IKEA and I use to pick up this desk on my own with no issues. The home office looked into my issue and noticed the driver put that my items weight more than they really did and adjusted my invoice. However at the end of the day I still paid $300 for the desk to be moved. They also noticed the driver charged me for some packing items that I had packed myself and not them. Be aware they charge for EVERYTHING but do not tell you about it during the quote process. They had to wrap and secure my dresser mirror which they charge $30 for that I knew and agreed to. However later they charged me for the tape, wrapping plastic and the blankets they used separately. Well what is the $30 for then since you are charging me for the materials separately?? The delivery guys were fine, even though they DO NOT work for Condor as the sales lady told me " Everyone that comes in contact with your items is a Condor employee we do NOT use third parties". I brought this up to the home office and they stated that they are their contractors so that means they are employees of theirs. As a VP of HR I felt the need to educate them on the difference of a 1099 and a W2 employee. Last but not least my headboard never made it to the truck according to the delivery guys. My dresser and footboard are damaged. I put in the claim and was told it could take up to 90 days so in the mean time my mattress is on the floor. I have asked home office if they have found my headboard at the warehouse and the answer is NO. I told them about having my mattress on the floor and their suggestion was that I "could get a metal frame since they are not that expensive". The deductible on the claim are RIDICULOUS $500 which means I will come out of pocket for the mistake of hiring them no matter what. Do your self a favor do not hire them, they will be one of the best quotes you receive but you will pay a lot more at the end with all of the hidden fees and the damages. It is best to pay a little more to another company and not have to go through this headache that I have and endure. Very dishonest company!!

Where to start.

The final drop off was a mess. The company originally told me I could pay with credit card, then the guy dropping my stuff off told me they only do cashier check or cash. Additionally the guy gave me a 4 hour window for drop off and then canceled at the end of the window saying he wouldn't make it. The next day the guy said his tractor trailor wouldn't fit into my apartment complex, so he made me go rent a uhaul and meet him at a Walmart. At the Walmart he started with having me sign the paper work and asked me whether I would be tipping. Also, he told me there was a $100 dollar waiting fee for me to get the U-haul which I am sure he pocketed since on the paperwork he never documented it. Then the guys unload the truck into my U-haul, and they lost an ottoman! I mentioned this and said that is there any paperwork that needs to be signed. They said give it a few days they needed to talk to their manager. Then they left! I had to take the u-haul to my place and unload all my stuff my self. I had a king size bed! Later on when I went to file a claim for my stuff, they denied it saying that I signed the paper work! I had to fight for weeks to end up only getting a $24 check. My company will never use them again.

Avoid this company if possible.

Be very careful when using condor moving systems company. They trick you with an initial low price and then double or triple the final cost. For me they doubled the "binding" estimate! And added a $450 shuttle fee and violated the delivery range by more than 16 days and after total 33 days they delivered my stuff. So choose wisely and avoid this company if you can. The only thing they were not too bad at was securely wrapping my furniture, so at least after more than one month and paying a lot of money, my furniture is not broken!

Delayed pick up.

I was scheduled for pick up of my furniture between 8-10am this morning and it's almost 12 noon and nobody showed up yet. I've been calling the number and all I got was answering service, office is closed, nobody to talk to about movers. Worst moving company..I'll NEVER use this company again. I'm supposed to drive 11 hours to Georgia but can't leave until they arrive, have to be out my place today..

Worst move ever

Our initial “guaranteed” estimate was between $9,000 and 10,000. When they picked up our things the bill of lading said $13,000. We questioned this and were told that the actual items packed and loaded onto the truck were more than the estimate. We told them we’d dispute this amount. We had no idea that they would take our things to a warehouse where they would sit for over a week. 15 days later a truck arrived with our things. The driver sat in the cab most of the day sleeping while two very nice guys brought everything in. At 5 pm the driver took off without even affording us the opportunity to check paperwork to see if everything had arrived. A few days later upon unpacking artwork we discovered 4 pieces were missing, one of which was a signed print by a well known artist. There were several pieces of pottery and glassware that were broken as well. All in all the damage and loss was in excess of $5000. We disputed the charges with our credit card company but when they contacted the company they were told that we signed paperwork stating we received everything in good condition. We never signed any paperwork because the driver of the truck left and left behind the two guys to finish bringing in items into the house. This is the most unprofessional company we have ever dealt with. From the other reviews I am reading it appears that there is an initial bait and switch with a low ball figure and then when they pick you up increase the amount considerably. For us it was an increase of 43% over the original “guaranteed” estimate. In addition no one disclosed that we would be charged an additional $146 to put the charges on a credit card. This move was booked through Northern Moving Systems who hired Condor to do the move.

TERRIBLE COMPANY

I made sure i waited until all of my things were delivered and in good condition before i posted this. And i will post it everywhere that will allow me to. There’s no way this place could possible have an A rating on BBB. Dealing with them has been a complete nightmare. They will get you in the beginning. DUSTI (fitting name) is so sweet and attentive in the beginning. She answers all calls and communicates well in the beginning. But let something go wrong. She ignores calls and then when i finally reach her (using a different phone number) she says “sorry i have covid” only after i got in her bosses ass and the boss made her call me back smhhh. The most unprofessional shady SNAKES.

The driver comes over 6 hours late to pack my things then waits til everything is on the truck to DOUBLE MY FEE. Then the boss in the warehouse that sounds like tony soprano is trying to strong arm me and tell me i have to pay that extra money....DOUBLE what the original estimate was.

Then all of a sudden your calls are being ignored and no one is in the office. No one answers calls but as soon as i send a text saying i need the updated invoice then three minutes later i have an email. A bunch of people who don’t want to face their crookish ways when someone calls it out. I WENT AS FAR AS TO DOWNLOAD AN APP TO CREATE A FAKE NUMBER. AND THATS WHEN THEY PICKED UP. I ended up being charged 2000 on an original 1500 estimate after i raised hell about being charged 3000 and he straight STUTTERED when i asked him to explain the extra charges. Then DUSTI lies about how long it will take. She tells me 10 days but on the invoice it has a ridiculous range of days that we never discussed. And they ended up delivering my things LATE ANYWAY. When the driver called me yesterday he said my balance is $2100 after i had already spoken to the company. I tell him i am not paying that and he shows up the next morning anyway with an attitude like “it’s not my job to call the company”

THEN!!! The people moving my belongings are. A WHOLE OTHER COMPANY! Condor lied and said they were not brokers! This is the worst and most stressful experience of my life. I have been living in this new city sleeping on an air mattress and recycling the small amount of clothing i was able to pack in my car because i gave them everything else. Shame on this bullshit ass company for treating people like this who spend their hard earned money with them. THIS COMPANY IS DECEITFUL AND JUST WANTS YOUR MONEY. I’d trust the homeless man on the street before i trusted these people.

Worst Experience Ever!

I wish there was a way to report minus 10 stars. This was the worse experience we have ever had, especially for the amount of money they eventually charged us. We were moving from Texas to Kentucky and selected Northern Moving Systems to do the job. After doing a walk thru on camera with Mike Cohen,

Senior Moving Coordinator, an estimate was given and we paid the deposit of well over $3,000 with instructions to pay 1/2 of the balance due upon pick up and the remaining 1/2 due on delivery. A few days later received a call from someone in the service department letting us know that we have possibly not reserved enough room on a truck for our home and that we should go ahead and send an updated list of inventory. Which was done and we had to pay an additional $1,700. When the truck showed up on the pick up date, we were shocked to see that Northern Moving Systems is merely a broker and sent the job to Condor Moving Systems. We were not aware that this was being brokered out as the contract was with Northern Moving Systems. The movers were awful (1 supervisor and a 2 man crew), we had a majority of the house boxed up and it still took them approx 8 hours to put everything on the truck. The supervisor of the move had no idea how much he was supposed to collect so we paid $2,500 just to keep the contract valid. There were some delays on our closing date of our home purchase in Kentucky but we were finally on the schedule to have our household delivered on Christmas Day. When the truck showed up, we were told we had to pay the balance of over $6,000 before he would even open the doors to the truck. There are items missing, furniture broken and/or scratched, boxes that were soaking wet with the items inside ruined. They did not reassemble our furniture correctly, did not hook up the appliances, and left the trash from the move in the garage for us to dispose of. The truck driver was extremely rude to both of us, although the crew he hired did a great job considering it was freezing outside and it was Christmas Day. There was not an accurate list checked off by the truck driver. I was actually given the list to write down the box tags as they were unloaded and as mentioned above, there are items missing. As we have been unboxing, we have determined that Condor Moving Systems, went through our boxes and repacked them. Some boxes looked fine until they were opened, only to find the contents inside were soaking wet, covered in mold/mildew and ruined. We have left several messages for Northern Moving Systems to contact us so that we could report the damages and submit a claim (since the contract did include extra insurance for potential damages). I have a ton of pictures and have had to replace items that were broken or missing. There are some personal items that cannot be repaired or replaced. I really need someone to be held accountable and will tell everyone I know about this horrible experience. I will be posting reviews about both companies wherever I can!

Regret

Condor Moving Systems was hired to move my family out of one property on January 29, store our items for 2 months and move us into our new property on April 9. We completed the quote process and stressed the point that we have been underestimated in the past. We asked how often their quotes are missed and we were ensured that it is rare and the miss is usual a few hours of labor. We were quoted $2,188 and estimated $476 in storage. We were charged 13 hours more! The final price ended up $3,751.57 and storage at $754. There was a lack of communication between the sales team and dispatch as they were not prepared to move us out. The extra hours are not accurate. We brought this up with the office and they stated that we were charged for the actual hours used. We have email, text, phone calls and video from our security system that shows we were over charged labor hours. This has been brought to Condor’s attention and they have been argumentative, unprofessional and disrespectful to my wife and myself. We have been blamed every step of the way and Condor has not taken any ownership of their errors. They have blatantly over charged us and their reasoning has been they used more people to complete the move. Even being charged the rates for more people, we would still be over charged. We have asked twice for documents or video to support their claim of the hours used and they will not provide. They continue to argue and take zero accountability. This is part of the last email we received, “…I’m really not sure what is it you don’t understand or what are you upset about the job was done and done well.” We were over charged, the move was two days late, walls/door trim scuffed/damaged and items dropped during loading/unloading. This not a job “…done and done well.” Item are broken but will receive the usual regurgitation of their claim policy. The paperwork was asked to be completed before the move was compete which makes it difficult to notate anything that happens during the move. We also received someone else’s items. This concerns us on how our items were stored. We asked for an explanation but never received one. Horrible experience and we regret hiring this company.
