College Hunks Hauling Junk & Moving

Sorry, this company doesn't deserve one point on a star.

Absolutely THE WORST service of ANY company I have ever dealt with. Waited over twelve hours because they didn't show up or bother to call me after making an appointment the first day. I was stupid enough to call again the next day,

and once again they failed to show or call. They were going to charge me $140.00 to haul away a single chair, which cost me eight or dollars to dispose of at the county refuse disposal site after a twenty minute drive. Service? NOT!

I hired your company to assist my elderly mother in the Bronx. She's 80 years old and was getting rid of some bags and two pieces of furniture. I feel that $750.00 was excessive and when I arrived at her apartment it didn't look like anything was hardly done. I regret not being there to manage this removal of items and I should've asked for photos to show what was done. I am very disappointed in this company and I feel robbed. I will be sure to share my experience in your review section and where ever else I can let this situation be known. She's 80 yrs old lives alone and I trusted your company to help her. There is no way her items filled up half of your truck. I also want a receipt I have not received one. $750.00 is theft!

We had Louie & Tay of the Greenville, SC office service us today as our daughter was moving into her new apartment. They were on time, friendly, very courteous & so patient with setting the furniture exactly like we wanted. They both were such a pleasure to have and couldn't have had a better pair to help with the moving. With the warm temperature & climbing flights of stairs all with a great spirit & friendly smiles til the end and never once seem to mind all the hard work of lifting & carrying the furniture and boxes up stairs. I highly recommend these guys for your next moving needs..

This was my first time using a moving company. They seemed professional when the initial man came out to do the inventory. However, the actual day, they were 2 hours late, never called to let me know. They moved so fast and boxes were falling off the hand truck. One of the movers said we can get on the truck to help them unload. We did and a table fell on my leg, there is now a bruise there. They broke 2 items and agreed to pay for one. They forgot our washer and dryer as they were pulling out. PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL. They left our bedroom windows open and didn't tell us. We filed a claim and their claim dept refuses to speak over the phone saying everything they do is by email for tracking purposes. I have never worked with any company so unprofessional in my life. We paid good money and we are hoping that when we move our items out of storage nothing is broken!!!!!! Terrible company!!!!! I am doing this review so you don't get stuck like we did!!

This is a company that I cannot recommend after they visited our home, refused to slip on the surgical shoe covers and tracked mud throughout the areas they walked on. Just a little respect would have gone a long way. After hiring a carpet cleaning service and contacting College Hunks Hauling to have the issue addressed, I was just told that my complaint was closed (without our knowledge) and they would do nothing. No resolution was ever offered. NEVER AGAIN! This was the franchise in Indianapolis, for those wishing to avoid these idiots.

I caution anyone that is considering using College Hunk Moving Company of Charleston, SC. They moved me in to my storage unit on Dec 13, 2020 and moved me out of my storage unit on April 30, 21. They packed and moved my 86" and 47" TVs on both occasions. They did not list the TVs separately on any of the inventory lists, which I believe they are instructing their movers to do so, to limit liability. Both TVs ended up with cracked screens during one of the moves and now the company is coming up with the BS that they are not liable because they never listed in on the inventory. Please do not use them under any circumstances. They are shady and will not take liability for any damage that occurs to your property.
