Bronze Star Moving and Storage handled my move from Jacksonville, FL to Charlotte, NC, and the entire process was smooth from start to finish. The crew arrived on time, worked with great focus, and treated my furniture and boxes with real care. Everything was packed securely, loaded efficiently, and delivered exactly as promised. Communication throughout the move was clear, and the team stayed professional and friendly the whole time. Not a single item was damaged, and the delivery was right on schedule. I recently signed up for a move with Bronze Star Moving CO. I am prior military, so including all the cross country moves I had in the military and as a civilian I had more than seven moves. Working with Bronze Star Moving was the worst experience I've had. First, they told me that they would handle my move from start to finish. they indicated. Alot of companies, are brokers, but we do all of our packing, loading and unloading, therefore I would only have to deal with them. That was lie! They ended up brokering my business out to a company called Ready Set Go Moving. (Whatever you do stay away from Ready Set Go Moving! We had so many items destroyed, broken, dented and scratched because of their inability to pack items professionally. In fact, Ready Set Go broke more items in one move than all the items broken in 7 previous moves. And thus far, their claim process is nonexistent)

But getting back to Bronze Star, they told me that they would probably have a crew of five to six movers to pack me, and that it would take probably a day to pack. Knowing that we had a 3800 sqft house, on the day they came to pack, they sent 3 people!!! Instead of one day to pack, it took 3 and a half days! Here is another example of their deceptive business practices. Three months prior to my move, we negotiated a price, based upon me going from room to room and describing every item in each room. Once that exercise was complete, they told me that my price was going to be $18,000. I accepted price and made the non-fundable down payment and thought I was doing business with a reputable business. Less than a week prior to my move we had what they called the final walk-through review. By the time that review was complete, the total cost went from $18,000 to $30,000 more or less, despite the fact that we had less furniture than what was originally itemized in the initial review. We had sold a sleeper sofa, a complete formal dining room set with table and chairs and a refrigerator, plus various other items and yet the cost went up $12,000! We were in shock and with less than a week before our house closing, we were at their mercy. Plus, if we wanted to go with another moving company, we would have lost our initial deposit. We ultimately ended up packing some of our items and putting them on a POD. You would have thought that somewhere during all these conversations that we had, that someone at Bronze Star would have told us that they had brokered our business to another moving company. It would have been nice to complete some due diligence on Ready Set Go Moving Company before they showed up to pack us. But we weren't given that opportunity, because they never let us know that they had brokered our business out. Knowing what I know now, I would have gladly let Bronze Star have our deposit and went another moving company. Do not use Bronze Star and I wouldn't wish Ready Set Go on my worst enemy, if I had one!
