Brightline Moving & Storage

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! They are horrendous to deal with. We signed a contract and paid almost $2,000 to move a small amount of belongings from CT to FL three months ago and we still have no idea where our things are. SIX TIMES in the last three months they have given us a delivery date and time, and then no one shows up and no one calls and we have to start all over again trying to get them to deliver our things. I have no idea where our things are and neither do they. Worst customer service ever, if you can get them to pick up the phone at all. For all I know they have lost or stolen our items. I call every day and get nowhere. My next call is to the Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau. They are total scammers - AVOID!!!

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $2000

Absolutely the worst experience dealing with them. Luke Lied and told me there was enough room for all the things I needed to take. we went over everything twice, but when the movers they picked got to me there was not even enough room to put all my boxes unless I gave them another thousand dollars! I paid it (after having a major meltdown) they didn't bring a truck big ;enough to take all the items even if I paid more!!!! They lie to get the commission then I couldn't get back in touch with him! I called and they kept hanging up on me once I was on hold.

The movers that came told me they do this all the time and he's(the movers supervisor) often dealing with the fall out.

In the end they took my boxes, and they only had room for my couch and my bed, I am sitting here in NC (came from Denver) on the air mattress I had to buy. I still have no idea when my things will arrive. Luke assured me that it would be 7-10 days BUT that was a lie too! The movers said my things would go into storage until a truck was going to NC. They told me it would be a least 21 days, and maybe longer because not many drivers want to go to NC!

This has been a nightmare! One where I have to find money somewhere to buy all new furniture, and that's tough because I gave them all I had and all that I could borrow and get together from my family.

PLEASE beware!!!!!!!

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $5000

First estimate was off by a lot, had a FaceTime estimate with EVERYTHING in my house. (Estimate is now 3 times the original). Movers come at 2 pm day of moving with NO TOOLS. Had to unpack my personal tools for them to borrow. Then took so many breaks and were tired, so had to return the next day (during a work day for me) to finish. EVERY communication costs more money, move is now tripple the time, and 5 times the money. Charge for stairs, started at anything after 12, but I was told this was to be waived. Promised this would not be charger to me. Mover shows up 21 BUSINESS days later, wanting to charge for any steps after 5. Currently will not unload my belongings as we figure this one out. Do not trust these lying, predatory people. The 5 starts are wrong!! They have had complaints to the BBB to no avail. Save yourself the money and the frustration. I am not exaggerating. They are terrible.

I had a great experience moving with this company - which is saying a lot for something that is inherently stressful. They were able to handle some tough objects. They were so flexible too, willing to shift plans and help me get furniture boxes from my boyfriend's place since I had some delivered there. They were really responsive in providing initial quotes, they were also responsive for all additional follow up questions I had. Will definitely plan on using them again, and highly recommend!

My experience has been horrible. I booked them to move to a new state, about 400 miles away, and I booked them a month before my move so they would have ample notice. They requested a three-day window for pickup and they quoted me the fastest turn-around (about 2-3 days) to my new city. They were 3 days late to pick-up my items, and did not notify me that they would be late. I had to get my utilities turned back on and pay for additional days of rent. They also did not deliver to my new city within the quoted 2-3 day turnaround. It’s now been 11 days and my items are still not in my new place. Again, with no communication to the customer. I cannot emphasize enough, do NOT hire this company. I feel like I was scammed.

Brightline will not be your moving company. They are more likely to be brokers who will sign a contract with a real moving company on your behalf. They will charge you a binding fee (which is their profit) of several thousand dollars for this service. They originally estimated $10,800 for our move based on the comprehensive information provided to them. When the real movers arrived, they indicated the estimate was too low and it would be $18,000 with additional deposit due on site. What Brightline does is estimate the cubic feet to be moved at too low of an amount to win the work and then the price gets adjusted by the real movers the day they arrive to move the stuff based on what you actually have. Our binding fee was $4309 after discounts - thanks! That is their profit but they will not tell you that. They will show up at the top of your Google search because they pay Google money to do that, but they are simply brokers who are massively overcharging people. Call a real mover and save yourself the hassle/cost of these jokers. When we called to ask what happened, they could offer no explanations, but said they would get back to us after talking to the movers. They never called back even though we called them many times. They make moving estimates for a living and know the system. They deliberately pay to get themselves to the top of the google search and then intentionally lower rates to win the work. You will pay much more later. Any reviews that say they were great movers are lying because Brightline is not a moving company. I’m sure they pay people to write those reviews. I don't provide online reviews (waste of time), but I had to here. They essentially ripped off my wife's elderly parents and could care less. Look in the reviews and you will see more examples if you read the poor service ones. All others are probably fakes. Shocking that people like Brightline exist, but they proficient at exploiting the internet and their customers.

Worst Customer Experience ever. I had my entire life's belongings stolen by their contractor. Brightline used a company that has a suspended license and they now cannot find out where my load is at. The date of delivery was August 13th and I still have not received my load as of Nov 4th and nobody is able to get in touch with the company that picked up my load. The worst part is that the customer service reps strung me along for 3 months promising me that my load will be delivered any day and hid the fact that the company lost their license and they were not able to contact them in any way. The customers reps lied several times promising me a delivery date all the while they let this company make pick-ups for others as well. When you ask them to do something about the situation, their response is that as soon as you sign the bill of lading at pick-up, brightline is not responsible anymore. They have not taken any legal action against the pioneer moving company that did the pick-up and they let them pick-up for various customers even after their license was suspended.
