Best Offer Moving

I moved in July and continue to have a terrible experience. They arrived late without a call. They were rude. They were rough with our house and furniture. They damaged the house out of which we moved and our furniture. I watched them fail to follow their own promised (in writing) procedures including not wrapping glass. When I saw them stack chairs that would scratch if they were't wrapped, I told them to take them out of the truck and wrap them. The head guy said I didn't know what I was talking about. I insisted. He took them out and wrapped them but they were already scratched. (They are metal chairs). They wrecked a couch and walls all around the house. I told them beforehand that the previous company who moved us in had to remove doors and bannisters to get the couch in. They didn't do any of those things. They dented the walls so much that we had to pay to get it fixed before moving out. While trying to get the couch through a doorway, the head guy told me it was "impossible" to get the couch out without ruining it and denting the walls. I pointed out that that was not the case considering another company had gotten it into the space without a bit of damage. He then said that the kitchen cabinets must not have been there when we moved in. I explained that they were there when we moved in, of course, since as renters we wouldn't have installed cabinets. He told me I was lying! When I called the office manager to complain she said she trusted their word over mine and that this was the best crew they had. When I explained that the movers we used previously got the couch in without a problem she said rudely "then why didn't you just use them"" I filed a claim. After the 120 days they gave themselves to process the claim, I emailed to inquire about its status. I got a reply saying that they were no longer operating. By the looks of the website, Facebook page, phone message and a recent acquaintance's use of them, they are clearly operating. My daily emails and calls are not yet returned.

I had gotten estimates from several moving companies, and this company had the lowest quote with $97/hr rate but it REALLY turned out to be more like $200/hr rate after including the extra charges and the most EXPENSIVE of all the estimates I got. First, they have HIDDEN FEES! If I am paying for the time required to move things and hired 4 men because I had heavy items, what is the purpose of $150 “bulky item” fee that was NEVER disclosed by Karina? It just showed up in the final bill. Second, their packing material fees are ridiculously high! They charged several hundred dollars for things like tape and saran wrap used to wrap all mattresses, sofas, etc.
