I wish I had the option to do a NEGATIVE 100 RATING. Do NOT use Assurance Van Lines. They are a broker and do not actually conduct the actual move. Their head dispatcher, John Edward, yelled at me on the phone and was the RUDEST person I have ever met. Jim White made every FALSE PROMISE he could to get my deposit and none of the promises have been fulfilled. I am so UPSET with how this business has conducted business. Lesson learned to go straight to a moving company and do NOT use a broker or Assurance Van Lines EVER. They do NOT CARE about you once they have your deposit.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3300

Outstanding customer service is an understatement when trying to describe Assurance Van Lines. I've never had a company transfer my property with as much care and consideration as this company did. The employers at Assurance Van Lines treated my belongings as if they were their own. Fragile items remained completely in tact and the entire process was concise despite urgent time constraints. Thanks to Assurance Van Lines, I not only saved time and money, but my long distance move was stress free.

A friend of mine recommended me this moving company. I was little hesitant because I never approached them before and was in a state of less confidence about their service.

But my perception completely changed after experiencing their service. They were punctual, kind and took utmost care while loading and unloading my stuff. It is the first time my wife is not mad at me for a professional which I occasionally do. Assurance has become our favorite movers and we will be considering it for sure in our next move.

Brokered or not. To NOT have a conscience as to who the customer has to deal with for actual movers, such as EXECUTIVE moving and storage out of Las Vegas, NV. and their wacky drivers that don't even know how to fill out the correct paperwork out. On top of it ALL, no intention of correcting it or making anything better. What has happened to customer service and simple human decency? We're talking about a moving ordeal that was suppose to be picked up Sept. 1st so I could start my new job in Illinois on the 5th. I lost out on 2 plane tickets. Paid for 4 extra days of rent in the apartment I was suppose to move out of on top of finding a place to stay for those days. I want to vomit thinking of Executive moving and storage and Assurance Van Line Services. And it's still going on now, October 1st. They are all out of their minds unreal.

I could not be more impreesed with Assurance Van Lines. I moved from New York City, New York to Las Vegas, Nevada and it could not have gone smoother. My boxes and furniture were expertly handled and the workers were extremely friendly and very considerate. I have moved from one part of the country to another and its always been the most extreme hassle ever. Assurance Van Lines were the most fast and hekpfuk moving company I have ever used. I have recommended them to all my friends and family in New York and I don't regret using them never for a second.

I was super busy the week of finals, which just so happened to also be the week my lease was up. I knew I wouldn't have time to do the move myself and after calling around I decided Assurance would be the best option. The representative was extremely understanding and nice, and made the set up process so easy. I let the guys in and by the time I had run to the store and back they had the whole truck loaded with my one bedroom apartment! My stuff got to Texas not only in one piece but completely undamaged and in less time than I thought it would! The men were extremely courteous and conscientious throughout the whole thing. I will definitely be using Assurance for all my moves from here on out.

From the beginning of my experience with this company they have been ripping me off. When the movers came to pick up my furniture they were not only rude, they added an additional $400 charge which was obviously bogus bc as soon as I started asking about the charge they quickly lowered it to $300. I was told on the phone I would receive my items the day I requested to up to three days later. The movers who picked up my stuff then said 7-14 days after the day I requested. It has now been a week and I called today and they now said my items will be loaded up late next week! After 14 days of picking up my things, the will just be loaded up. They wouldn't even estimate how long after the loading I would actually receive my things. Liars and cheats. Horrible company.

Move size: Studio Service cost: $1600

This company "underquoted" me and the subcontractors charged me almost 2x the estimated charge,they came at 2nd day of my 2 day window and LATE I suspect as a strategy for them to feed on my desperation and exhaustion. The a subcontractors/movers are rude not all of them but mostly the leadmen. The guys that picked and delivered my stuff asked for tips! And when I refused to give during delivery they unloaded my stuff in my garage did not re assemble my f urnitures as promised by Assurance van lines, my advise to you people is have a representative from them come to your house and have a FINAL CONTRACT, I REPEAT A FINAL CONTRACT!! don't buy the estimate BS..im speaking the truth here, on the phone they are so professional and promises heaven but after you give a down payment you're pretty much at the mercy of subcontractors that are like VULTURES, and you cannot talk to the guy that sealed the deal on the phone it's their phony customer service that CANNOT help you. Use UHAUL guys or pay lifters it's 80% cheaper..they quoted me $2900 but charged me $5500 I hagged for an hour and they agreed to $4900. STAY AWAY.

Assurance Van Line Services Inc is not a mover!
This company tell you what you want to hear and then subcontracts your move. So you don't know who your getting. We hired them to move my daughter from Rochester NY to Boston, It took 18 days.
Customer service is a joke and this was a total waste of time and money. I would have been better off flying to NY and renting a U- Haul. The lack of respect or concern expressed by Assurance Van Line Services Inc was disturbing. They didn't give a dam and pointed to the fine print that stated they had up to 30 days to complete the move. This was a one room apartment.

Let me cut to the chase. I highly recommend Assurance Van Lines. They are very professional and take all of the stress out of moving day. They make sure that you have nothing to worry about. They showed up on time and took only a couple of hours to wrap up and load everything onto the truck. They made sure that no walls were scratched and everything was handled with care. Not a single thing damaged or broken! If I ever decided to move again I know who I am going to call.

I was unsure on who to use for a moving company. I came across a few different moving companies and all of them were pricing me way too much then my budget could allow. At one point I almost decided to move everything by myself until I came across Assurance Van Lines. They gave me a great quote and the customer satisfaction was amazing. I am seriously so happy I decided to go with them. My past times when moving from city to city has been such a headache. But with Assurance Van Lines it was a breeze. The movers were genuinely careful of some of my high end breakable items and knew they were important to me. They took the extra time to be careful with everything which made me less stressed out. I honestly would not use anyone else if you are moving. They take the time to help you out whatever your concern might be. I highly recommend them!!

I used their services twice today -- to move a series of office belongings (cabinets, boxes of binders, reams of paper) into the Bronx, where the cabinets I put into a storage unit, but everything else was brought back to my apartment, where I very much hastily resorted the items and documents that I had to drop off in the basement of my mother's house here in Belleville, NJ. I was all over the place with my rearranging, but the movers were beyond patient and even offered to help me with my sorting for what needed to be moved if it would make it easier for me. Just like the first move earlier in the day, these movers were on their game -- they trooped back and forth between their vehicle and the 7th floor of a Downtown Manhattan office without any sense of tiredness, they just kept going. The drive from the Bronx to Belleville was a bit longer than the first trip's, of course, but absolutely everything that needed to be done, needed to be moved, was done and moved, and what was once overoccupying an already-tiny series of office space in Manhattan is now resting peacefully in between a storage unit in the Bronx and the basement of my mother's home, along with a few other items that I was bringing back to her. The Assurance crew that helped me today were some genuinely top-notch cats and I have nothing but appreciation for making what would have been a ridiculous migraine of a day, or several days, just go by in a fluid succession, and for that I am grateful loyal to the service of Assurance.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!! IT IS A RIP OFF AND THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE. I could not stress how much I would never recommend this company to anyone!! I had a horrible experience with Assurance Van Lines Inc. I recently just booked a move from NY to Houston where the sales representative Jaime Richards helped me and for over a month contacted me to convince me to book with him (horrible mistake).
Promises were made of how their quality assurance team would call me to make sure that the items on my inventory on the day of my move were the same as the inventory I gave him so I wouldn't be overcharged at the time of my move. I asked Kyle Oldrich (quality assurance associate) if I should put the back cushions of my 3 couches in a box or to tell me what I should do with them, and he said no because the movers would shrink wrap them and not to worry about it, the movers would take care of it.
The arrival window was 10-2pm and they arrived at 330pm. The day of my move came, 3 guys came to my house and one of them which was the man in charge, his name was Alex could not have been more rude, unprofessional and disrespectful. He came inside, looked at my house and began to load the truck. He started to put the cushions of the couch in boxes which they charged me $60 each, when I specifically asked and I could have boxed myself and not have cost me $60.
I was NOT given a new estimate of how much room my stuff was going to take, I asked him how does he know what's mine and what isn't since there was already another load in the truck prior to mine and he said they measure by "the bars in the truck".
now it is the end of the night at 9pm and Alex gives me a whole new price and says that I went over the cubic feet I was estimated for and I now instead of paying $2500 have to pay over $5500. He hands me blank forms for me to sign and completely pushes me t sign. I declined and he says "i will repeat myself again since you don't understand" and went on about how the forms need to be signed. I was completely uncomfortable and I felt coerced to sign. I tried to take pictures of the blank doc and he did not let me.
They now want to charge me 4% for using a credit card when it was never mentioned or agreed upon.
I have been trying to contact them to have them adjust this since it clearly states on the contract that they must honor the original estimate if the mover loads prior to giving me a new estimate for me to agree on. it has now been almost 2 weeks and I call them and they keep saying they will call me back after putting me on hold for over 10 min, and ignoring my calls. I need to get my items delivered and they say they wont ship anything until the manager comes back to review the paper work which he has been out for over a week. I have no idea where my items are, my entire house, my clothes, all of my possessions are with them and no one is resolving anything.
Please for your own good NEVER do business with them as they will try to rip you off and scam you!!

If you are looking for movies definitely give Assurance Van Lines a call, because not only was I satisfied with the price but the job they done was on believable they got me from New York City Queens to Union City New Jersey without a problem. I had a four bedroom apartment in New York around 1500 ft.² moved into Thousand square-foot, not only was the job finished within a reasonable time none of my belongings were damaged in anyway I am really happy I did business with this company if I plan on moving anywhere soon I'm definitely calling them again.

I used the company to move me from Texas to California. This company is a rip off. My estimate doubled before the move was done. I was told I would pay the remainder of the balance upon on deliver. This company demanded payment upon loading which I paid in full. Jerry told me that the driver was ready to deliver ASAP. Needless to say I waited almost 3 weeks for my items. After loading the truck my stuff was put in Storage (which I was never informed about). Coming out of storage it was loaded into another truck for delivery. On delivery I found that I had numerous items either broken, destroyed or missing. I was going to file a claim but the procedure to do so would cost me over a 100 bucks. Not worth my time. Sooo, BEWARE this company is not what it says it is. If I would have known that my items where going to be unloaded and reloaded I would have never USED this company. I will say the 1st crew did a good job of loading and the last crew did a great job of unloaded. So, I believe my items got destroyed, lost or damaged when it was unloaded and put into storage for 3 weeks.
