Long-distance move from Flower Mound, TX to Sister Bay, WI

Dishonest and inept

My comments are similar to others. Price goes up every minute of the move. No regard for schedules or dates. Tons of damage to my stuff. Their packers are inept because most of them are picked up off the street at the last minute. Can't file a claim because of the poor paperwork. Avoid these movers at all cost. Make sure a broker you are working with has not contracted with them. You will totally regret it. I can post dozens of pictures of the damage done. Not to mention the amount of stuff they didn't pack and left behind and the missing hardware for some of my furniture./

Long-distance move from Columbus, OH to Redondo Beach, CA

Been without household goods for almost 2 months

This moving service is horrible. My father died unexpectedly and we had to reschedule delivery. Now we have been without furniture, clothing, and toys for my baby since August 3rd when they packed our goods. They refuse to pack our belongings into a truck despite us begging them. They promised to pack our goods yesterday or today and now just informed us that our goods are not packed and there is no plan for them to be shipped to us. We are stranded without anything just because we had to fly home for an unexpected family death.

Long-distance move from Chicago, IL to New Orleans, LA

Do not recommend - lost items, items that did not belong to me

Arena Van Lines lost part of my dining table and they delivered someone else's wall art to me. it should be pretty easy to connect the rightful owner to the wall art, but they have provided little urgency. This tells me they could care less about reuniting me with my dining table. The dining table is an antique so it is not easy to replace. If you missing framed art and had a move around NOLA - i have your stuff....

Liars

Our truck was loaded on September 3rd. It is now October 10th and no delivery. Now weve been told that they have until October 18th bc weekends and holidays do not count as business day. IF YOU COULD NOT DO THE JOB THEN YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE ACCEPTED THE JOB. Going to buy a bed today bc we cannot stay on an air mattress with a toddler any longer. Have replaced most kitchen and bathroom items at this point. This company does not care about our family.

Choose another company

Was quoted 4500. It is going to end up costing me over 7000 when it is finally over. Took them more than 30 days to deliver my belongings. They left my house a complete mess with tape rolls and bits of tape stuck to my carpet. They did not show up in their quoted delivery window. I haven't even had a chance to see how much of my stuff they have damaged but since you can't give less than 1 star it won't matter for this review, only for my law suit.

Long-distance move from Katy, TX to Goddard, KS

Beware!

If I could give a zero rating, I would.

First of all, my state is not even listed (Kansas) as a destination. I contacted Nationwide movers to move me from Houston TX to Wichita KS and had no idea that they were going to broker this job out. They called me the day before I was schedule to load and stated that they had a truck available and could not guarantee that I would be able to have a pickup in time to make my closing if I did not take this driver. I was then brokered out to Arena Van lines and the nightmare began. I was promised 4-5 men to load a 3-bedroom house and 2 guys showed up. It took them until the night to get everything on the truck and they of course halfway through let me know that the cost would go up because I had more boxes (keep in mind that I had already paid an extra fee to Nationwide for the additional boxes) The cost went from the quoted $6,000.00 for the move to a total of over $8,000.00. I paid extra for select items (mirrors and marble tables) to be packed by the movers so it was very disheartening with I noticed that all they did was take boxes that I had purchased to pack, cut them up, wrap a blanket around the item and then tape the box around the item (he used so many of the boxes that I had purchased and we ran short of packing boxes). They put boxes on the truck that were empty and charged me for them and left other items that had been paid for to transport. The drop off of my items was another nightmare as the driver would not open the truck to let me look at the contents until I paid him in cash (I believe this is considered holding your belongings hostage). As they brought in my belongings, I noticed that several things were broken and attempted to address it but because neither of the 2 individuals that were off loading spoke English, all they would say was that they did not load the items. They then proceeded to knock holes in the walls of my new house to the point that I started crying. I had marked all the boxes with what room they were to go into and marked the rooms as well as the walls to indicate where the items should be placed. None of this was honored and most of the boxes were dumped in the front room regardless of how they were marked. Months later when I got all of the boxes in place and started to unpack, I found out that 4 boxes (one out of each of the rooms- one box contained a clock that was a jewelry box with gold jewelry in it) had been taken and my belongings were gone. Unfortunately, I found this out after I had submitted a claim, but it would have made no difference because the insurance company got out of pay for the thousands of dollars of damaged that was done by saying that the pay 60 cents per pound. The insurance company offered me $247.00 for weel over 2-3 thousand dollars' worth of damage and disregarded the 30 photographs that I sent to them. I believe that Nationwide is a rip-off company as they continuously state that it is in the contract when you attempt to bring up a concern and Arena Vanlines should be charged for the number of scams that they are running as I have read over 20 reviews that are so close to what I experienced that I have flashbacks. The items I listed to Nationwide did not change drastically but the cost went from 6,000.00 to over 8,700.00 at the end when they had my belongings on the truck and knew I had to be in Kansas by a certain date. There also appears to be a criminal sense of Planned Lack of Accountability as all the drivers are non-English speaking and take not responsibility for anything. Please, Please do not use either of these companies if you treasure your belongings.

Long-distance move from Waco, TX to Rio Rancho, NM

Pick up only so far in Waco, TX

Arena Van Lines in Waco, TX did an awesome job on pickup. Unfortunately, I went with Interstate and they contracted out Arena Van Lines but I cannot give Interstate the same rating. However, back to Arena. They had 2 workers from Ukraine that work as hard as they could. They took such good care of all of our items as if it were their own. They worked in extreme heat of 107 + heat index and it did not slow them down. We had gotten rid of some stuff at the very end, which should have brought the amount of cu ft down, and it actually did and they were honest enough to acknowledge this. I wish I knew their names to recommend the actual men. One was an 18 year old with his coach who were both from the Ukraine. Awesome men and awesome job. I just hope to have the same experience on delivery. I wish that we could have the same men here in Rio Rancho, NM

Now I need a new big screen

On delivery while standing next to the trailer I heard one of my big screen tv's fall inside Arena's trailer. The tv was ruined and Arena's Claim Dept offered me $39 for my $1200 tv. Find another mover!

Long-distance move from Birmingham, AL to Franklin, PA

Fraudulent Company

Was subcontracted by Gulf Stream Van Lines. Late coming. Lied about items to be moved and over charged me for square footage. Move was over $2000 more than initially quoted. Told me my things would be delivered in 5 days and it was delivered one day shy of 3 weeks. Lost items and tried to give me items that didn’t belong to me. Sent one mover to unload my things so we had to help. The two initial movers were not friendly. This company is not trustworthy. They drained me financially.

Long-distance move from Cotopaxi, CO to Casa Grande, AZ

WORST COMPANY IVE EVER DEALT WITH

In Oct 2023 I inquired about moving from Co to Az, I was quoted a " Veterans Day Special of $5000. The movers came and none of them spoke English, that's a problem! Then once they had my belonging s loaded, they added "bogus fees" amounting $11,000 more!!! Then they came to deliver my belongings in AZ, 2 weeks later than agreed upon delivery date.Again, non English speaking movers. They left without letting us know. I have things that are still missing. AND they broke my 70" TV that was a newer one. When I called to report it and sent pics, I just got a letter with their decision. They are ONLY OFFERING $.60/LB TO REPLACE THE TV THEY BROKE, TOTALING$34.80.When you see Arena VanLines, run the other way or be scammed! Worst experience Ever!
