American Standard Moving & Storage

Absolutely horrible experience. I was moving from a small town right on a major interstate across the country. Brian Sanchez, a sales guy, told me he would be my direct point of contact for the whole move, and gave me his direct cell number-telling me to contact only him with questions or arrangements. I paid a huge amount to reserve my move more than 3 weeks in advance, then had increasing trouble getting in touch with Brian. I called the Friday before my Wed/Thurs pick up to confirm my move, and spoke to Jessica-she went out of her way to be rude, condescending, and unpleasant. She told me I was never to contact them, they would reach out to me the following week, but my move would go ahead as scheduled with a Wednesday pick up, then hung up on me-and cancelled my move in their system.
When I followed up again the next week because I didn’t get the scheduling call they’d promised, I first spoke to a lovely woman who was very confused by my move having been cancelled, but promised to sort things out, then I called back and by random chance spoke to Jessica-who laughed, acknowledged she’d cancelled my move, refused to let me speak to anyone else, and again hung up on me.
After repeated hang-ups, I finally reached Christine, who claimed to be the only customer service supervisor in the entire company. She told me everything was fine, no, don’t make other arrangements, they’d pick up my stuff the following day as agreed, everything had been straightened out. But when my realtor called 7 hours later to verify that we didn’t need to reschedule closing (because I was nervous at this point), Christine was quite rude to her, laughing and saying the move was cancelled, they didn’t even service my area, and no, they had no intention of letting me know or refunding my deposit. It wasn’t until a lawyer-friend called on my behalf that they began the process of issuing a refund, but I was left scrambling to replan my entire move less than 18 hours before movers were supposed to show up.
I’ve reached out several times since, and the only response was a two-word e-mail telling me to “f** off.”.

Jason Frazier called and emailed repeatedly when I requested a quote online. He gave me a quote which I felt was very high, and told him I had better quotes elsewhere. He was VERY rude and said no one could do it for that price. I told him to please stop emailing me. I got MULTIPLE emails after I told him to quit, and had to tell him to quit again. He was still very rude. I ended up having to block his email address. This is not a very good way to do business. Maybe being a punkass bully works in Florida, but it doesn't work elsewhere.

Move size: Studio Service cost: $1600

Where to begin. This was the worst experience with any move I’ve ever had. We moved from Ohio to Florida. We spoke with a broker (Colton/Austin) who quoted us a price of $1656, with a weight estimated of 2000 pounds. We went through an inventory on two occasions. Movers show up and the first thing out of the movers mouth was “the contact you signed with American standard is basically null. It means nothing. We do it based on cubic feet” so they were wanting double the amount we were to pay them. Fun fact the $626 deposit was actually a brokerage fee and none of the deposit went towards the move. after two hours of going back and forth between the brokerage and moving company we got then to agree to adhere to the original contract to charge in weight and then had to fight with the mover Allen to get him to go weigh the truck. Mind you this mover was the most rude human being, screaming in my house at my husband in front of my 7 week old .
So finally movers leave with our stuff, and they told us they could not give us a time estimate as to when our stuff would arrive.
Fast forward 4 days later I call the moving company who informs me that our stuff, which was picked up on a Penske truck is being delivered in an 18 wheeler and if it couldn’t fit where we live we had to pay $350 for a shuttle. When we asked why they contracted a truck before checking to see if it fits where it’s delivering they responded “that wasn’t their job” . So they told us we could provide our own shuttle.
Oh but here’s another fun fact, Mosley Van Lines double brokered our move and hired some other moving company to move our stuff, so when we met the truck with the uhaul we rented they said they will only move the stuff once and therfore we had to move our own things into our home which we paid movers to do. So that whole “we will pack and unpack” for you is a lie. Rude customer service no single person took responsibility and on top of all this they lost and destroyed our things. What happened to ethics and professionalism?
Worst experience ever.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1656

13 weeks it took to move 2 bedrooms worth of stuff from Texas to Pennsylvania. American Standard moving and storage are not actual movers, but are brokers. They subcontracted my move out to Executive moving and storage out of Las Vegas. I'm not going to detail how awful this experience was, but use your imagination of what I went through for 13 weeks without my belongings. The one good thing was they did refund me my initial payment. But I wouldn't recommend this experience to anyone.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2100

I called them and got a quote 1577 and told them everything that I needed moved. On moving day the company came out and said I am sorry you will be way over weight now it will be 2500. I argued with them and they said sorry this is it. It will not be more.They loaded my stuff up in a little moving truck. Then when it was time to deliver the company called me and said I am sorry but we have to unload from a big truck and put in it in a little truck since we cannot bring a big truck down your street. I told them they could I have seen many moving companies go down my street. They said no and if I wanted my stuff I would have to pay 350 more. Also this company only accepts cash. What a ripoff company. Don't Use them!! They will screw you.

The crew from American Standard are as good as it gets - from the minute I called to get a quote. I knew that these were the fellas I wanted to help us move to our new home.

They arrived on time, carried all our stuff with a cheery demeanour, didn't flinch when we found a few extra ( and large) things to add, and managed to fit it all into the truck like expert. Yes, the rate changed a little due to the increase in volume but they worked on the price and I was amazed at how they packed the truck.. Cant rate them high enough - you can't go wrong with them. I would highly recommend using American Standard Moving for you move. They do provide storage as well which is a big plus!!

I had the best experience possible with American Standard! The movers they chose for my move were amazing. I moved from MA to FL after 30 years of living in the same home. The guys who packed my belongings treated my things with great respect while working incredibly efficiently. They arrived 9am sharp and worked until 6pm to load my entire house.
IT was really scaring seeing everything I own, including my car, being driven away by people I didn't know but I quickly came to trust and respect their team especially Ronnie, who was the team lead. They arrived a day earlier than expected (and ensured I was ok with that) and every little thing arrived in perfect condition.

They spend a lot less time unloading and reassembling which was great with my schedule since I had to start unpacking so I can prepare for my new job. Their rates were more than fair and their work ethic and delivery of my belongings to my new home was outstanding. I highly recommend American Standard due to the great experience I had with them.

My moving experience was great with American Standard Moving.. Notifications and follow up were great, recieved text messages letting me know on arrival time. When my movers arrived Mike and Ricky, they were on time, friendly, worked quickly while moving my belongings carefully and safely.. up three flights of stairs, sorry guys. I really appreciate the service and care you provided, you both made my move so much easier and stress free. I definitely would use and recommend this company because of the service American Standard Moving provided. Thank yall so much!

Excellent service! Pleasure do deal with them from beginning until the end. They advertise all rates for all dates on the Website which was very easy for me to pick the date and knowing the rate ahead of time, with a little help over the phone it was easy to go over the inventory for the final numbers and get everything reserved, the movers worked hard and wrapped all my furniture with blankets free of charge without any damages and quick move! Great company! great Business. Would recommend American Standard for your move!
