I am giving this company 2 stars because this process was expensive, took longer than promised and was very frustrating. I gave it 2 stars rather than 1 star because the moving crew at our old house and our new house were hard working, strong, and overall did a good job.

This process was more expensive than originally agreed upon. Our initial agreement on 10/29/2021 was $6,770 and we ended up paying $10,424 total. There was an $800 bulk fee added and we were also charged $900 for a shuttle fee because the 18 wheeler could not fit into our neighborhood. We agreed with the shuttle fee. This still doesn’t add up to over $10,000.

The big issue is the bulk fee of $800 and the deposit. On 10/29/2021 our prepaid deposit was $2,477. Then on 12/22/2021 our prepaid deposit was $3,277 because I paid the $800 bulk fee. In looking over the Express Van Line’s bill they only credited us $2,477. We have tried to talk with both American Moving Solutions and the Express Van Lines about this. Each blames the other party and we are the loser, losing out on $800. No one is listening to us or will look into this to either give us a good explanation or our money back.

When we first talked with the customer care they told us it would take approximately 2 weeks to deliver our belongings from Las Vegas to Tennessee. It took 6 weeks. Every time I asked for an update, I was either ignored or given a timeline. I was not updated on any progress or solutions.

In all the loading and unloading of our stuff from the truck, to the warehouse in Las Vegas, to the 18 wheeler, to the shuttle truck, to our house, an antique coffee table was lost. This table was made of pure wood, had a unique design, and was given to us by our daughter. We have asked the movers to look for it and return it. We would like the coffee table returned rather than the pennies on the dollar of what a claim will get us.

If I had to do it all over again, I would either hire the movers myself or get a U Haul or U Pak it. The moving broker company was just a middle man that added frustration, costs, and did not look out for our interest.

I hired them to move from california and they lied about everything.

-they said they would pack my stuff but they hired a 3rd party that was terrible

-they said i could pay by credit card but then the company they hired said no

- they said the total cost was going to be $9,000 but then they packed my stuff then told me it was going to be $15,000.

-They said it was going to take 3 days to get to new location but then stated it was going to be 30 days.

They were incredibly rude, condesending, and insulting.

DO NOT HIRE!!

Talked to John about moving a 3 bedroom house to Texas. It’s already packed and in storage units. He gave us the quote and assured us it was legit. We even questioned him 3 times because it sounded low. Because we didn’t have any appliances and they didn’t have to pack anything, he was confident with the quote. Had to sign a contract and pay a deposit so we could get scheduled. Lo and behold 4 days before they are supposed to meet us to load up, the quote quadrupled. And because we signed the contract they won’t give us the deposit back. Beware!! John doesn’t keep his word or doesn’t know what he’s doing. And Larry is just as bad. The last lady was straight up rude. If a moving company from Florida wants to “help” you move, RUN!! This company is not what they promise.

What a nightmare!!! I would not recommend them to anyone. They never tell you that they are not a moving company, but a broker. They pack your stuff, and put it in a storage unit for 4 months. They never tell you details, they lie, they try to get you to pay them more money or they will not load your truck. They do not answer their phones, or they send you to machines. they say, they will call you back, they never do. They do not want you to pay with credit cards, because you might cancel the payment. They do not ever give a date when they will deliver.

They loaded us in Utah Nov 6 and 7. We didn't get out first truck til Jan 18 -- you read right, the first truck. The other one was supposedly coming right behind. However, we did not get the second one until Mar 4, and then not with everything. The rest of our stuff was never brought to us.
