Their estimate was full of lies. Actual price was double than first estimate. The communication with customer and moving company was horrible. The supervisor couldn't do anything then upset and hung up my phone. I asked the staff to send me email of detail, but he never do. They arrange you horrible moving company.A few of staffs of customer service were nice, but they didn't know their jobs. I don't recommend anybody, and the worst experience of my life using this company.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $15000

I would very much, not recommend this company. They picked up my belongings in WA on 10/3/21. I was asked when I would like my stuff to be delivered in CO (a two day trip). I said 10/10/21. On 10/11/21 I called the company only to be told that my choosing 10/10 was the "start" date of when it would be delivered. Anytime in the next 14 days after my chosen "start" date they would be delivering my things. They then had me talk to the actual moving company, and I was told it would be 21 days from my "start" date. It is now 37 days, and no one has called me to tell me what is going on. When I texted on 11/9, I was told "Please give me time to give you an update." That was last week. When I called today on 11/15, I was told they would call me back shortly and then they hung up on me. I waited an hour and called back only to be put on voicemail. I have NO IDEA WHEN I'LL GET MY STUFF, OR WHERE IT IS RIGHT NOW. I don't believe American Moving Solutions knows either! I really hope I get my stuff prior to the holidays. Does anyone know how to make them give you your stuff back?? And is this normal?

Arrived promptly! Treated our items with care. Courteous. Each one introduced themselves and shook my hand. Seemed genuinely excited about our move. Worked as a team and asked relevant questions, and triple-checked things. Brought sharpies to mark bags of screws when they disassembled furniture. Were very nice, even with 2 toddlers running around for part of the time. Made sure everything was to our satisfaction before leaving. This company is a great moving company with exceptional customer service and helpful movers. I will highly recommend them to all.

December 8, 2021, I contacted Stacy who helped me set up a move. The pickup window was suppose to happen between 12/27 to 12/28, which I paid a $1,292 deposit. I was quoted for a total of 419 cf (2933 pounds) at total moving estimate of $2,923.21. Cathy Velez called me and I asked her about boxes that were different sizes after she could not answer my question, she rudely said Quality Assurance would call me to answer all my questions. I was told the Quality Assurance Team would contact me 1-4 days prior to my move, which Marshall called me outside of the window. On 12/27/21 when the pickup window began, I never got a phone call or any form of update on plan of arrival to pick up my belongings. On 12/28/21, Stacy claimed that customer service is taking care of it and would give me an update. I did not know what was going on. My mom called on my behalf because I was on hold for 45 minutes waiting for an update. After my mom got hung up on by Cathy, she then called me to tell me that American Moving Solutions has to find an alternate moving company because they are affected by COVID and are unable to pick up my belongings as promised. I got a phone call from Cathy with very unprofessional customer service. She was very rude to me by talking over me, the tone in her voice included a very bad attitude, and then proceeded to tell me that she was going to call me back but I was blowing up the phone. Cathy then told me she would have to call me back with an update on when they would pick up my items. Cathy contacted me the next day saying they could pick up my items on 12/31 for an extra $1,200 since it is a holiday and nobody wanted the job for the price they quoted me. I agreed because I had to move out of my apartment by 12/31. My items were suppose to arrive in Billings, MT before January 10th, 2022. The customer service I received was awful. The company should not have charged me extra, and I should have been compensated for their mistakes!

I called American Moving Solutions (AMS) to move my furniture to Albuquerque from Orange County, CA. I emailed them an inventory list along with measurements. They provided a written estimate of $4,545 which included two months storage. A “Binder Fee” of $1,500 was included in the estimate. It seemed reasonable so I contracted with them and paid a deposit of $1,454.

About a week later, AMS called to confirm my inventory. Minor changes resulted in a 200 cubic foot increase.

Verbally, the Rep told me that my new total was $8,004. I gasped with disbelief because the estimate doubled. He put me on hold after listening to me rant. When he returned, he verbally told me that I would receive a $2,600 senior discount. At this point, communication with the Rep was verbal. When the new estimate was emailed to me, I could see the $2,600 discount and I asked him if the bottom number of $3,555 was what I had left to pay. He said yes. I felt comfortable authorizing a 2nd payment of $2,100. At this point, my understanding was that my balance was $1,454.

Two days later when I looked at the 2nd estimate again. The numbers did not make sense so I emailed AMS to ask for clarification. The response I got was that my balance was $4,449.48. What!?

The Rep tricked me into approving the 2nd estimate by leading me to believe that $8,004 was going to be reduced by $2,600, but it was not. Thereafter, the only response I received was that the increase was due to an increase of 200 cubic feet but it was not. The “Binder Fee” originally set at $1,500 was drastically increased to $6,000. I called and sent multiple emails without a returned call by someone with authority to help me until Daniel Yarbrough (Principle) called me 2 hours before the movers were scheduled to show up. He tried to convince me that an $800 mistake occurred in the calculations. When I told him that the $4,500 increase to the “Binder Fee” was the mistake but he either brushed me off or interrupted me when I asked him to explain why the “Binder Fee” greatly increased. I did not get clear answer. So I could not and would not approve the 3rd estimate.

When the actual moving came to pick up my furniture, I told the lead man that I was having issues with American Moving Solutions and showed him the problem with the estimates and the “Binder Fee”. He agreed that the estimate did not look right. He called his boss but they could not come to resolution with AMS.

So in order for the moving to move my furniture I had to sign their contract. They measured my furniture at 750 cubic feet and quoted of $4,962.

I requested that American Moving Solution refund the total amount of $3,555 but I received no response.

This was the a absolute WORST move ever. I spent a long time on the phone with them to make sure this wasn't a scam and boy did they fool me. They lied about pick-up and length of time for delivery. They broke dishes and were all around HORRIBLE. DO NOT USE THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. They charged double the estimate, even though I had painstakingly itemized each item. I actually had fewer boxes than the estimate. Once it is on the truck you are stuck. It took 21 days to get our items! 21 days!!! If I could put this out to the world I would. DO NOT USE THEM.
