Alliance Moving & Storage LLC

We received a binding estimate from Alliance Moving & Storage to pack and move our household goods from Illinois to North Carolina. They brokered our move out to Moving Depot. The movers showed up in a rented Enterprise truck and refused to pack or move anything unless my husband signed a form acknowledging that the move could cost as much as $5000 more than our binding estimate! When my husband refused to sign the form the movers left and I immediately contacted Alliance to request a refund of our $3500+ deposit. I was informed that we would not get our deposit back because the estimate was just that, an estimate. What we received was a binding estimate, which our attorney tells us means that we should not have to pay anymore than the dollar amount listed on that estimate, unless we changed the items we wanted them to move, which we did not. They never provided us with an inventory list, did not honor the binding estimate and sent movers in a rented Enterprise truck, who are not authorized to move household goods. The salesperson at Alliance, Johnny Turner, misrepresented the company to me right from the start. When I found numerous negative reviews and complaints about Alliance online, I confronted him with them. He lied and told me that those complaints/reviews were about another company that was using their name and likeness and that they had a cease and desist order against this other company. That is not true. When I looked them up on the Department of Transportation website, using their DOT number, I saw that they have had numerous complaints lodged against them. I added mine to the total. I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and found that Alliance had 79 complaints filed against them with BBB in 2020 and 49 so far in 2021! Please do yourself a favor and stay as far away from Alliance Moving & Storage as you possibly can.

This is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. The company told me they would pick up on 3/14-3/15. My escrow closed on 3/16. They showed up late 3/15 and had to finish on 3/16. When the movers arrived they charged me an extra $9600 dollars for my move and an additional $4500 for my daughter's move. My load was to leave immediately and my daughter's belongings were to be placed in storage. We finally got our belongings on 4/25. Our load was mixed with my daughter's. They had to separate the 2 loads so they could take my daughter's things to Chicago for storage. As things were being unloaded EVERY lamp was broken, our furniture was scratched and antiques broken. My glassware was broken beyond repair. When the driver arrived he had one person to unload, so we had to help unload. We had to pay $12,500 for our load and we will have to pay another $12,500 when my daughter's things come out of storage. I would never use this company to move, nor would I recommend them.

Exactly one year ago Roger Stein from Alliance Took two deposits from me totaling $ 3,596.62 and never moved me as promised, nothing changed from my side except that the company they subcontracted with refused to do it under the excuse that he needed one more truck two more workers. That happened on a Sunday, but no manager from Alliance was available to talk to, so I was told they will call me first thing in the morning next day, that never happened either. When I called 9 days later, they were not even aware that their driver refused to pick the same amount of furniture and boxes that was in the original moving estimate. If that's no stealing! well, you be the judge. I'm in shock that they are still in business since you can clearly see I'm not their only victim. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROFESSIONAL SCAMMERS.

ALLIANCE MOVING & STORAGE IS A FRAUD!!!! This my follow up review for this FRAUDULENT COMPANY. My move was almost a year ago and I still have to relive this nightmare move. DO NOT HIRE THEM!!! Avoid the heartache and save your money. THEY ARE THE BORKERS who sent me a POS moving company who damaged my washer and dryer (who is now not in business) and ALLIANCE refuses to take any kind of accountability. They said, you signed the contract and we are not responsible for the damage! Fine, but you are RESPONSIBLE FOR HIRING A POS MOVING COMPANY!!! REFUND MY WASHER AND DRYER IS MY SOLE REQUEST!!!!

I've spent hours with them over the year on the phone with the run around. This last call they had the AUDACITY TO OFFER ME $150 TO REMOVE MY NEGATIVE REVIEW!!! AND THEY ASKED FOR ME TO SIGN A NDA!!!

Seriously????? I declined and now will be going to small claims over a WASHER & DRYER.

Horrible company to deal with. Very difficult to get answers would be on hold 45 min or longer. They brokered my belongings to a company with very poor reviews only in business for a year. Could not provide delivery date they held my belongings for 28 days. When finally delivered almost everything damaged. Alliance said the carrier would have to provide claim form. After 2 weeks of trying to reach them they are out of business. Do not use this broker they do not vet the carriers they use and offer no help .

We can't get any answers or any help! They picked up our stuff July 17th, it is now August 6th.

No one can tell us where our belongings are or when they will be delivered!

Customer service is very rude and offers no solutions.

It appears that they brokered our move to another company and now have washed there hands of it.

Ben was our salesperson, and told us we would have are belongings no later than the 21st. That was 16 days ago!!

HELP!!!!
